There is a wrong way to charge your Zen Mic

Does anyone know why you must plug your Micro into your charger - and THEN you can plug it into the electrical outlet?
They say that is the conventional way to charge electrical devices - why would it make a difference? some people say a 3 hour difference in charging...

It seems that the software detects the difference. I too prefer to leave the AC adapter plugged in all the time, and to just attach the player to the wire. However, it's a minor inconvenience.

  • WHICH IS THE BEST & FASTEST WAY TO CHARGE YOUR iPHONE?

Connected to a PC / laptop?
    OR
    Plugged into the wall?
    Maybe the same?

Powered USB ports use a standardized voltage. It doesn't matter which one you plug it into so long as it is powered.
Generally, all USB ports are powered. Exceptions may include non-powered USB hubs, such as the Apple keyboard. So long as you plug it into a USB port directly on the case/motherboard it will be powered.

  • What type of li-ion battery charger for Zen Mic

    Hi,
What type of battery charger do I need to buy for the removable li-ion battery the Zen Micro uses?

    But, I want a charger!
I will buy an extra battery. So that while I am using my Micro, I can re-charge the other battery. That is why I am buying a player with a removable battery.
Problem is that Creative sells the extra batteries, but I don't see a charger listed.

  • How many times did you return your Zen Mic

Im just curious, i am about to return mine for the second time so i would like to see if im one of the few that has returned their product more than once, and that most of everyones problems are resolved after the first return.

st Player was DOA direct from Creative. Repeatedly froze and asked for a refund
2nd Bought from CompUSA and had to be returned because it would not connect to my laptop.
3rd Replacement from CompUSA. The headphone jack was totally shot by the third week.
4th My replacement from Creative and no bad luck yet!

  • Is it bad to charge your iPad when there is like 30% left ?

Is it bad to charge your iPad when there is like 30% left ?

Question: What is a "charge cycle"?
Answer: Lithium-ion batteries can be charged a finite number of times, as defined by charge cycle. A charge cycle means using all of the battery's power, but that doesn't necessarily mean a single charge. For instance, you could use to your iPad for a few hours one day, using half its power, and then recharge it fully. If you did the same thing the next day, it would count as one charge cycle, not two, so you may take several days to complete a cycle. Each time you complete a charge cycle, it diminishes battery capacity slightly, but you can put your iPad's battery through many charge cycles before it will only hold 80 percent of its original battery capacity.
Don't worry about it, since the battery will take 1000s of charge cycles.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. • Cheap way to rapidly charge your PlayBook.

I want to share some findings with you in case this helps someone else in future. I tried to charge my PlayBook with the HP TouchPad USB plug (barrel type) and it works perfectly fine (Green lightning bolt icon appears - no errors). So if you want a cheap way to charge your PlayBook, buy one of these.
    http://www.amazon.com/Charger-Adapte...rackberry00-20 ($8.99 with cable)
    http://www.amazon.com/Charger-Adapte...rackberry00-20 ($4.99 without cable)
Here are the specs of both charger types:
BlackBerry Rapid Charger (the one with fold out prongs and ships with the device):
    Input: 100-240V - 300mA 50-60Hz
    Output: 5V - 1.8A
    http://ca.shopblackberry.com/Product/BlackBerry-Premium-Charger/ACC-39343-301
    HP TouchPad Barrel Charger:
    Input:100-240V - 0.4A 50-60Hz
    Output: 5.3V - 2A
The benefit of using the TouchPad charger is that the cable comes off so you can use a normal charging micro USB cable bought from Monoprice.com for $1.73 and you can get a lot longer cord (in this case 15 feet). http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2
You could spend $38.99 on a genuine BB replacement or $6.72 (devices bought seperately - not including shipping charges though) for one that has a 15 foot cord, is multi-use and comes apart...

I'd recommend for anyone to get the magnetic rapid charger and leave the more fragile USB port to data transfer.

    iPod nano 1st gen

One more guest ion guys what does the following part from the email from apple mean "Apple may charge you a diagnostic fee, including shipping charges, of no more than one hundred ($100) dollars US, plus applicable tax, if Apple inspects your product and determines based on the inspection that the product does not require service. If Apple determines, while inspecting your product, that service is needed due to the failure of parts that are neither supplied by Apple nor Apple-branded, Apple may return the product to you without servicing it, and may charge you the diagnostic fee plus applicable sales tax. • Best way to charge iPad mini

What is the best way to charge my iPad mini ? When I play Internet games at the same time using FaceTime my battery drain fast is it normal ?

The mini came with a 5W charger. If you are going to use the mini like you described, suggest you get a 12W charger like that for the iPad 3 & 4. The 12W charger should maintain your battery charge level.

  • Is there a fault in ipad 3 charging? Mine has taken 14 hours to reach 85% of battery.

The charging time is very long, 14 hours and it's not even at 100%. Plus the battery runs down in only a few hours. Is this a known fault?

  • Safest way to update the Zen Xtra's firmwa

I am running a Creative NOMAD Jukebox Zen Xtra (earlier, non-PFS firmware) on an XP machine with Windows Media Player .
What is the safest way to update my player's firmware so that I can use PFS?

uynless you realy realy want the palys for sure firmware, or you need ti to work with vista you would be better off leaving it as it is.
if you must update the firmware do this:
back up everything on your player ( you should have a back up anyway ) going to the PFS 2.x.x firmware will completly wipe ( format) the hard disk.
go to control panel, then add/remove programmes, remove windows media player and windows media player runtime, it will 'rollback' to windows media player 0, re-boot your p.c.
check the add/remove porgammes again just to be sure that WMP and WMP runtime are not lurking..
Charge your Zen xtra, and leave it conected to the charger.
Download the firmware, and follow the on screen prompts, cross your fingers and hope for the best.
