There was as error when i tried to update my itunes. I am trying to reinstall but now i get an error message saying to verify if I am able to have apple mobile service. How do i do that?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

This happens to me as well. However, I have a shortcut on my desktop as well as my quick start bar. When this has happened to me, I can usually log back in without restarting, by using the shortcut on the desktop rather than the usual quick start bar.
I know this sounds weird, but it has worked for me about 80% of the time.

I tried to update my iTunes software on my iPhone today and plugged it into my laptop. Before the process was complete, I received an error message saying I had to "restore" my iPhone before it would work with iTunes. Even more importantly, and troublesome, is the fact that now my phone won't even work at all. I can't turn the iPhone on, and all the screen shows is the iTunes icon with a picture of the white power cord. Can someone advise if there is a way to update the software without restoring my iPhone, which will cause me to lose everything on the phone (much of which I have not backed up yet)? Last, is my stuff already backed up by iCloud? I believe I have sellected that option on my phone, but honestly, have never really understood what iCloud is or does. You need to do as provided. If no change after restoring as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem.

I understand that when you originally connected your IPhone about a year ago it was recognized properly.
Now when you connect your IPhone nothing happens but it does charger it, (until you used the last cable.)

I had itunes played from my PC to my music system that is connected through a nework. It use to work fine, but now I get an error message that say "An error occured while connecting to the Airplay Device "Stereo". An unknown error occured (-15000)".

This is typically caused by a firewall or Internet security software running on your PC. Please read the comments in "Error -3256 or -15000 when streaming to AirPort Express base stations using iTunes".

My current version when I open it, it says there is an error and I will not be able to download a CD into itunes, although I have completed several CD downloads.

Go to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ and download the full installer. Run the installer and you will be up-to-date. Sometimes the updater just gets in a weird state...

What is going on with my iPad update. I waited for four hours letting it "update" and after the alloted time, it tells me that I needed to update my iTunes first. After doing that, I can't even get into my iTunes. It says a file is corrupt. This is making me less and less impressed with these updates. I have trouble 80% of the time.

What iPad model and what iOS is it currently running? Are you trying to update the iOS via wifi or connected to your computer?
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

For Mavericks you need to upgrade to iPhoto 9.5.1.
You cannot buy this version from the AppStore, since the current version is iPhoto 9.6, and that requires Yosemite. The easiest route for you would be to upgrade to Yosemite. Then you can simply buy the newest version of iPhoto from the App Store and can use iCloud Photo Library (iCloud Photo Library beta FAQ), once it has been release for the Mac as well early next year.
If you want to stick with Mavericks, you'll have limited iCloud features, only the Photo Streams (iCloud: iCloud Photo Sharing FAQ), but no iCloud Drive (iCloud Drive FAQ) and iCloud Photo Library. And to upgrade iPhoto you need to buy an iPhoto '11 installer. It comes as part of iLife '11. You can try to buy a boxed version from Amazon or try to find it at eBay. Once installed on Mavericks, download the iPhoto '11 updaters from the apple Support Downloads page.
