Third Party developer's tools

Anyone know when Apple will be providing third party development tools? I can't use this phone with my company email because Apple hasn't supplied this yet. At least that's what "Good" told me. www.good.com

Apple is not allowing native iPhone application development at the moment and no word if and when they will.
Their answer is for us to build web apps that users access via the Safari browser.

Third-Party User Management Tools

I'm looking for recommendations for third-party user management tools that can do the following:
- Identify and bulk-expire/no visibility users that are inactive for >XXX days
- Identify users with auto-forward rules
- Bulk-delete inactive accounts (from GW database only, not eDirectory accounts)
- Maybe even bulk-move inactive/expired accounts to a "dead accounts" post office?
I have an immediate mandate to clean up our environment, and I don't see how to do this in bulk with existing native tools. It's just one guy (me) versus 42 post offices and 23,000 user accounts...

You can create your own tools using the GroupWise Administrative Object API and the GroupWise Object API.
Please refer to the Cool Solutions article I wrote ( shameless self promotion ) "Scripting GroupWise" - Scripting GroupWise | Novell User Communities for more information on the GroupWise Admin API. I suggest that you modify the script listUser.vbs to include domain name ( GWUser.PostOffice.Domain.Name ) , post office name ( GWUser.PostOffice.Name ), visibility ( GWUser.Visibility ) and last login date ( GWUser.MailboxLastLoginDate). You will need to run an audit report on each post office to update the MailboxLastLoginDate property. Import the output into Excel and sort / filter accordingly for analysis.
Setting an expiration date ( MailboxExpDate ) and / or visibility ( Visibility ) is done by assigning values to the respective properties and using the commit method - e.g GWUser.Commit
Identifying accounts with auto-forward rules can be using GroupWise Object to log into each account using a trusted application key. I posted ( more shameless self promotion ) some sample code to list proxy access in another thread - https://forums.novell.com/novell-pro....html#poststop. It is not too difficult to modify the code to iterate through rules and select those that include the action forward.
Deleting is be done using the the delete method - e.g. GWuser.Delete(eadGW) where eadGW is constant with the value 1.
I would advise against using the Administrative Object API to automate moving accounts. Best practices to avoid problems during moves involve running GWCheck against user objects until there are no errors. I perform structure, contents, contents with attclip and contents with deldupfolders checks until there are no error before moving accounts. There is also the issue of how many simultaneous moves the post office agents can handle. More accurately it is the number of simultaneous purges on the source post office that need to be monitored.

HRMS Integration with third party Project Management Tool

We have plans of procurring a third party Project Management Tool which needs to be integrated to existing Oracle Financials. Project Management Tool needs employee information for its functioning.
a)Is there any API available for this purpose which exposes HR data to any third party tool?
b)Can anyone suggest what should be the approach for such integration?

What 3rd party tool are you going to be using? You might get lucky and it might be something that Oracle has bought recently. Does this post mean you are using Oracle Projects? If so, you may want to post this question in that forum as well. At least you would limit the audience to projects oriented customers, so might get some better replies there than you will here. Food for thought.

How do I sign an IPA coming from a third party developer with our Distribution Profile?

We have an app developed from a third party developer. We then received his IPA file.
Upon uploading the IPA using Application Loader, we are getting this error,
We tried sending our Mobile Developer and Distribution Provisioning Profiles to him, but he cannot build the IPA and told us he needs our Private Key (which we are not considering since we fear that he may be able to develop apps using our account).
We tried manually signing the IPA using terminal but we are getting this error:
What can we do?

One of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports viewers listed at http://www.kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html provides a full command line API, so you can call a report from your app and pass parameter values, login info, etc.

Third party Client copy tools -

Hi,
We have a production system copy in our QA which has about 6.5 terrabyte. How do we know the size of the client in that system? If I have to make another client copy in my QA it will be highly impossible - considering storage, memory, backup times etc. To justity buying a third party tool I need to give exact size of the production client in QA ( not the whole database size) to the mgmt. Is it possible?
Any one know any third party tools to copy subsets of a client? such as Gold client, Infoshuttle etc.? Which product is a better option?

Looking for third party drawing/handwriting tools

I am looking for a faster tool to add hand written/ drawn notes to pdfs without having to open them in photoshop. I am familar with all the standard tools in acrobat, but am wondering if there is anything else out there as third party plugin.

Third Party Performance Monitoring Tools

Are there any Third Party tools that can map the user transactions to the CPU utilization on the database server?
What we are looking for is the ability to map the CPU time on the DB server to the transactions on the application servers. For example transaction X executed by user Y is utilizing Z CPU time on the database server.

Hi !
Before going the route of 3rd party software you might want to check out what you already have.
For example Oracle comes with the Enterprise Manager, which is pretty good in the area of the Oracle databases and also for the Application Servers (AS Control and Grid Control).
Other vendors might have the same.
WIth GridControl you can also get a lot of info about the machines that are in your network, but no possibility to manager other vendor's db's. (planned for a later version).
When you enter the market of 3rd party Enterprise Management tools you will come across suites like Tivoli and HP Openview. Although these are very good they are also very expensive and difficult to administer.
If your main concern is to monitor some db's of different vendors give the packaged tools you already paid for a try and evaluate later if you need more than these tools can offer.

Soap Adapter (What info needs to be provided to the Third Party Developer)

I have the following scenario
Third Party --> Soap Adapter --> XI --> IdocAdapter --> R3
My specific question is, what information do I need to provide to the Third Party team in order for them to successfully send a message to XI. (Note that I am using SOAP Adapter)
1. What is the URL that they will need? the syntax/format?
2. Do I need to provide a userid and pwd and if so, which userid is normally used.
3. I think I will need to provide the WSDL also ( I have already generated this). Is this right ?
4. Any other information that they will need from me.

Thanks for you answer. I am using XI 2.0
1. Would you happen to know what the URL Format for 2.0 is for defining the Web Service.
2. Also, would the User be an XI user ?
3. Also, since they are asking me for a URL to the WSDL and not a text file, is there a way to publish it as a URL in 2.0. If not, what's the normally used method of publishing it.
4. I tried using XmlSpy to send the Soap request and when i provide the WSDL, i get the following error:
"Schema Error - Undefined schema component 'xmlns' encountered - expected: (abstract | block | final | id | mixed | name)". Is this a common problem with the wsdl and how do i fix this.

Cannot contact third party developer for support

I bought 'Metronome Plus' today on the Mac App Store:

There is a problem with the app in that the 'ticks' of the metronome are not evenly spaced, they're skipping out of time quite badly.
Apple say the following about requesting support for 3rd party apps:
"To get support for other applications purchased from the Mac App Store, please contact the developer directly. The developer's contact information can be found on the Mac App Store app product page."
The options for contacting the developer on the above product page are as follows:

Both have no contact information on them whatsoever (and in fact the first one isn't even a live web page).
I've gone round in circles within Apple's own support section trying to find someone to contact to let them know, but have drawn a blank.

Yes when you create a test you can define it to be an OpenScript Test, then all you need to do is point it to the script, then you can play them from OTM and also schedule them.

Hi Shrinivasa,
there are a lot of WCMS Systems that can be plugged with EP. Just have a look at the <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/contentportfolio">portal content portfolio</a> where you'll find some certified business packages to integrate some CMS.
I have good knowledge about CoreMedia and RedDot and they both run very well with EP. If I remember correctly, the first one to be certified was a product from Interwoven, but I do not know that.
If you do not want to invest in some external product for integration (doubled license fee, doubled administrational effort, ...) you should have a look at the following solutions:
1. easy Web CMS by btexx (quite good)
2. business package for web editing by SAP Consulting (same)
3. SAP web page composer as shown on teched (part of SP 20 in Q1 2007)
As I have a very close look to your issue (WCMS in EP) I'm looking forward to the web page composer. Maybe you should have a look at the teched slides.
