How does Flipboard integrate third party media into their application without violating copyrights, trademarks, or infringing on others property?
Besides getting permission from the network entity.

Like most news or website aggregators, it is basically an overblown web browser. AS long as the site origin is visible or stated, no copyright laws are broken. It is no different than using an RSS feed.

How about FinalCut Pro X - I don't know but i regard to Apple way of progress - I doubt
For iMovie up to HD6 and FinalCut Express and FinalCut Pro up to 7.0 - there are plenty.

Third party PHOTOS Manager app

hi to all fellow apple users, i need to have a Third party Photos Manager app (i hate iTunes syncs) , which also provides the SET AS HOME/LOCK SCREEN feature just like the core photos app.... i downloaded "MyPics" app but it doesnt have dis feature.

Third Party e-mail Apps for Palm?

I'm having trouble getting Versamail's IMAP to work properly. It doesn't seem to matter what I do, it syncs from the server fine but doesn't sync properly up to the server. I also can't get sent e-mail to save on the IMAP server Sent Messages.
Does anyone have any experience with third party mail such as Agendus Mail, Snappermail or Aileron, all of which say they support IMAP. I really want something that will allow me to sync IMAP folders fully, just like my Mac does and to save sent Messages to the sent folder.

I got Snappermail and it works perfectly with IMAP. It is a real nice client but expensive.

Invoking third party software from APPS

Hi Gurus,
We have a requirement where we would like to invoke thrid party software from APPS. For example when i click on a button in the toolbar we want a document management system to open and show the documents related to the person on the screen.
Have anyone acheived anything like this? If Yes can you please share the knowledge?

How To Set Third Party Media App Is Default When Launched From Default File Manager

I use rock media player, which can encode & decode The Video and audio files i use, unlike the phone i have, i don't receive the option to set the app as the default media player. I would really like to be able to use this app on the thrive as it is some much a better media player than the thrives defaulty app. Rock player is the name of the app, who do set it as the default player when launched from the default file manager.

From my experience playing with the Thrive, when you attempt to watch a media file, it will open a menu asking you what application to use. From that popup, you can set a default.

Third-Party Media Player?

When I use my Curve 8320 to listen to music using its built in media player, I find that even the lowest (non-mute) volume level is too loud when heard through the headphones I'm using. Maybe they're high-gain headphones. Anyway, it would be nice to have a media player where the volume isn't quantized to such large intervals like it is in the default one so that I could turn it down without turning it off. Can anyone recommend another media player?

How to use same credentials in third party web page/app/system as in Office 365 and Share Point?

I want my users to be able to login with same username/password in my reporting system as in they use for their email, office 365 and share point.
Since the web is in PHP i found some ideas that use CURL to get the cookie but i['m wondering if there is another way to do that?
All API show cases and docs that i looked are so confusing that i can't even figure out if it is possible at all and how. It would be great to be able to reset passwords through my system and also to create new users. So that i have all centralized in one

Sync data between third-party contacts and calendar apps, and the native apps, in 10.9.3+?

I've had to refrain from updating my Mac Pro from 10.8.5 to 10.9 owing to the removal of SyncServices. I then read that SyncServices was re-introduced on a limited basis in 10.9.3.
It seems unlikely, but I'd like to know whether or not SyncServices in 10.9.3 re-enables the syncing of data between third-party contacts & calendar apps and the native apps, and thereby enables syncing of contacts and calendar info between third-party apps and iOS devices over USB via iTunes. This is the method I use exclusively by choice in 10.8.5, and I will not change it to a cloud-based solution under any circumstances.
If it is not possible, is there a third-party workaround? My calendar app on the Mac Pro at the moment is BusyCal, syncing with Week Cal on the iPhone, but I'll happily buy a new combo of apps if it means I can upgrade to Mavericks and retain USB syncing.
EDIT: a solution which permits syncing of a third-party calendar app on the Mac Pro with a third-party calendar app on the iPhone over an ad-hoc wireless network would also be acceptable, I suppose.

Cisco support for third-party apps on SRE?

Hi - I am thinking about running some third-party unified communications apps under VMWare ESXi5 on a Cisco SRE 900 module. According to the Cisco docs, third-party apps are supported on these modules (see table below) but the app in question is NOT on Cisco's list below.

Some questions:
1. As long as the third-party app is capable of running under VMWare/VSphere ESXi5, is there anything on the SRE that would prevent you from running this third-party app even though it's not on Cisco's list?
2. What is Cisco's policy on the use of third-party apps that are not on their list? For example, will they take a support call on the SRE running a non-listed app (I am not expecting them to help me with the app but I don't want to void any sort of support contract through the use of a third-party app not on their list).

As long as 3rd party app is capable of running on ESXi 5 it would run on SRE hardware. Cisco doesn't prevent these apps from running even if they are competitive. From a support perspective Cisco TAC will not take any support calls for these applications nor would know how to redirect the call to these 3rd party partners. Cisco TAC will only support SRE and ESXi related issues.

Having trouble with third party upload script...

I have installed a third party upload java app for use in a PHP application I am making (the java app is called Postlet, see:: http://www.postlet.com/ (for the build)). Initially, when I was testing the java, everything worked fine (see: http://www.kilbad.com/DEV/postlet/ ); however, once I put it within my site "wrapper" it started, what seems to be, pulling in meta data from the website header (see: http://www.kilbad.com/home/new_album ).
I am new to Java, and wanted to know if someone would help me solve this problem? Or, is there another, simple, open source java multi file upload script you would recommend?

To run ore.*Apply or ore.doEval functions using FUN parameter the user you are connecting to in ore.connect needs to have an RQADMIN role. Once the role is granted you need to reconnect your R session. If you are only using FUN.NAME parameter to run existing scripts RQROLE role is sufficient.
Please, verify that your user has both RQROLE and RQADMIN roles and try to restart your R sessions and reconnect to ORE. Let me know if that worked for you. If not, could you, please, tell me what version of ORE you are running (1.0 or 1.1), how did you create the DB user you are connecting to in ORE and whether this is a fresh install or an upgrade from 1.0. Did you have Beta version installed on the same system?

media element - i found some rendering issued with the HD uncompressed videos.
mediaurielement - Flickering while playing high bitrate uncompressed movies and leak while using
the video as the visual brush.( tried filling many rectangle simultanously)

Is there a way to have MSOffice-Mac on my MacBook Air sync wirelessly (and non-manually) with iWork on my iPhone without a third-party app?

I purchased a MacBook Air after hearing that it can sync wirelessly with all iOS devices. I then purchased the iWork office for my college courses and found out that the school requires online students like me to use Microsoft Office for Mac. An Apple phone rep explained that this software syncs in read-only mode with the iPhone. Is there really no way - besides third party software like Dropbox, Windows Live SkyDrive, or Docs To Go - for me to sync my homework between iWork on my iPhone and MS Office my new MacBook?

Go through this article: How to back up your data and set up as a new device or do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your phone without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the phone for the first time.
