Third party source is trying to change my homepage.

I get a pop-up box stating that 'myfuncards' has blocked a third party attempt to change my homepage, then a 'Firefox' message saying someone is trying to trick it into downloading and update.

Your System Details List shows some extension that can be considered as malware and MyFunCards is among them
You can disable or uninstall all suspicious extensions that you didn't install yourself or that you aren't sure of.

Installation hangs with Third Party Source component

Hi,
The installation hangs when it is installing Third Party Source (57%) in my environment.
This is my environment:
1. Solaris 10 x86 5/08
2. SunStudio12ml-solaris-x86-200709-pkg.tar
3. Installation method: single user, graphical user interface
4. Hardware: VMware Workstation 6.0.2, CPU 1.5G, memory 400M
I searched in SunStudio12ml-solaris-x86-200709-pkg.tar, and I could not find SPROrdbks package which belongs to Third Party Source component.
I suspect this is the root cause of my installation problem. I restart the installation, and I do not select to install Third Party Source component. But the installation process now hangs when it is installing Performance Library (56%). I don't what is the root cause :P
Can anyone help me?

Hi,
You could find log in the /var/sadm/install/logs directory. Probably it helps you.
(for example: /var/sadm/install/logs/Sun_Studio_Ceres_software_install.B09161643)
Unfortunately the SunStudio12 installer could have problems with virtual environments.
The Sun Studio is distributed as tar.bz2 archive (for latest Express it is wrapped into sh script).
You could just unpack it. The only difference is that there no packages are created.

Also if you use OpenSolaris you could install Sun Studio from IPS.

Connections with third-party source control - will they be retained?

I have RoboHelp installed on my hard drive. Company is swapping out my hard drive and I will need to reinstall it.
All my RH projects are connected to a third-party source control mechanism (Visual SourceSafe).
When I reinstall RH, will the connections to Visual SourceSafe be retained for all my projects?

Hi,
Just getting the latest version should work. I had a similar problem after a crash. RoboHelp can't detect which projects are in the VSS database, but after getting them, it all worked fine.
You may however still want to backup your projects on a removable media to be sure. After the reinstall, just make sure the VSS client in installed, copy your project from the media and get back to work -- Could it be that simple? Well, it was for me.

Debug third party source code

Hello Friends,
I have jar files from a third party and the corresponding source code. I wanted to know how I could add the jar files to my weblogic runtime and then debug it by pointing to the source code. I don't want to directly add the source code to the project because that will mean compiling all of them when doing a clean build. I am unable to find a way to do this in workshop?

I'm guessing you're referring to the Workshop for WebLogic 8.1, and not the 9.x series. If not, there'd be a different answer.
You may have to debug your third-party code with a different debugger, like Eclipse or NetBeans. In the IDE project, just add the source code for your third-party code, and connect remotely to the server (make sure you have the correct "-Xdebug ..." parameters on the server). You may not be able to debug the app in both IDEs at the same time.

I tried to change my homepage but I don't have the "apply" button. When I open the browser again, it goes back to the old homepage.

when I try to change my homepage, there is no "apply" button to hit, so the browser reverts to the old homepage when I reopen my browser. I made sure my browser is updated, but that did not help. I was able to change my homepage a long time ago, successfully, and it stayed there. I did not notice when this changed or what may have caused the change to come about. I am running Windows 8 with all the latest updates.

I tried under Options>General>Startup several times. I typed in the new homepage and I also tried Use Current Pages, still same results. the new homepage stays until I restart the browser, then it goes back to the previous one

What would be the optimal index creation for this horribly written sql in a third party app that I cannot change?

That's almost certainly the wrong question. You don't want the index(es) that will optimize that single query. You want the index(es) that will optimize your system as a whole.
The absolute best choice for that query would be a clustered index on ORDERNO, ITEMNO, STEP. But each table can only have one clustered index so you would have to drop any clustered index you currently have and then create the new one. But creating
or dropping a clustered index can be time consuming on a large table.
So in the absence of any other information, I would recommend trying a nonclustered index on ORDERNO, ITEMNO, STEP. That will be faster to do and faster to drop if you decide it's not helping.

Hi I am trying to change the log in screen without using a third party app on OSX 10.8. every time I use Loginox the background image changes but if i create an image of that volume and reimage another mac with a different screen size the background becomes in tile mode. Does anyone know how to replace the log in background without the third party app?Thank you for the help.

Delta load from planning area to third party system

Generally we sent full data load from DP planning area to back up cube in BW system..But suppose we are to send delta load from DP planning area to third party BW system, then what changes we need to do on the DP planning area side so that we send all the changed data from livecache. Can this be done in a standard way?

Hi Tarun,
It's not possible to extract delta loads from the APO planning areas. The delta loads are only possible with standard BW objects, and planning area is not a BW object.
SAP doesn't provide the functionality to have delta loads when you use export data source based on the planning area.
PS: From backup point of view, anyway having delta load would not make much sense. We take the backup as a snapshot of a particular time, and if restoration is required, based on the request numer or the date of extraction, we restore the relevant data from cube to the planning area.

Migo and Delivery for Third Party Shipment

I have configured third party shipment with statistical goods receipt.
Due to government regulation (Mexico) we need to keep track on our inventory of this movement so I want to configure MIGO so the receipts are done with 101 E - Special Stock and after that a Delivery and Invoice
If I try to do this I get error MIGO057 - Movement Type 101 E is not planned, I have take a look into OMJJ
Should I change item line from TAS to TAB? And schedule line from CS to CB? Somebody has done this any tips?

Please check the third party account assignment category and change the PO account assignment category and try to do MIGO

Then I could finally log in App store also.

I have marked deletion flags on all the line items in purchase order, but in sales order it is not reflecting.

Just to share with you, in my previous R/3 4.6C implementation for standard third party order processing, once I changed the quantity in PO related to 3rd party SO, it will automatically copied into SO. However NOT for DELETION item in PO.
In this case, MRP and Purchaser are still can see the deleted item as open requirement. It was matched with our requirement.

Connectivity between BI 7.0 & Thirty party source Data Stage (ETL)

In 3.x, by specifying Info source in the third party Source system (Data Stage - ETL), we are extracting data to BW system. Now my server is upgraded to BI 7.0. Already existing (i.e. created in 3.x) applications are running fine in BI 7.0.
Without Info source how to connect BI 7.0 & Data Stage. What is the procedure.

I have ALEREMOTE in the ECC 6.0 and RFCUSER in SAP BI. For both I have kept password 'INITIAL'.
I am giving following parameters.
Target Computer (S server) --> Here I am providing IP Address
System ID(system name) --> 'D00
System Number                --> 00
Background user Source System --> ALEREMOTE
Password for Source System user --> INITIAL
Repeat password                             --> INITIAL
Background user in BW                RFCUSER
Password for BW user                  INITIAL
Repeat password                          INITIAL
and then click on 'Right' symbol and system is poped up with the small window with message
'user alaready exists in SS only continue if profile and password r correct'
Here, I am selecting the button 'Continue' and then
after system again poped up with the window and message
' RFC Destination already exists in SS, Do u want to use same Destination....' and three buttons to select 'Use', 'Check', and 'Cancel'.
Here, I am choosing 'Use'.
After this the system is giving the Error message "RFC User Logon failed, check the connection - BI 7.0", and the screen is of
RFC Destination maintenance. This RFC Destination is of SAP BW but in the right left corner of the the message line, system is ECC.
so, I don't uderstand what is the reason for this error.
Can u suggest me in SM59, RFC Destination (SAP BW) maintenance, on 'login/security' tab for 'Logon' information which USER ID and password I should enter? Currently, I have kept RFCUSER.

In third-party order processing, your company does not deliver the items requested by a customer. Instead, you pass the order along to a third-party vendor who then ships the goods directly to the customer and bills you.
In this scenario, the shipping notification received is entered as a dummy goods receipt in consumption. This allows you to create the customer invoice before the incoming invoice is received from the vendor.

Why can't Firefox add a simple opt-out question or password-protection for changing the homepage?
"X is trying to change your homepage to X.com. Allow? Y/N"
After you add that, add: "Permanently block access by X.com. Y/N"

Websites do not have permission to change your home page. If you find it is getting switched, consider the possibility that you've somehow installed a rogue extension.
Try this:
Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable. (Or if it's clearly badware, remove.)
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Does that let you restore your home page?
A few related issues:
(1) If there is no remove button for an extension, visit the Windows Control Panel. In Windows Vista-7, the relevant dialog is "Uninstall a Program"; not sure what it is called in Windows 8.1. Clicking the "Installed on" column heading will sort by date and help uncover possible bundled items that you didn't know were being installed. Remove all the crap you can. (If you find anything named Search Protect or BrowserSafeguard, remove it.)
(2) Third party software can create a file named user.js that Firefox reads at startup and which will override your saved settings from your previous session. This article describes how to track down and remove that file if you have one: [[How to fix preferences that won't save]].
(3) Some utilities such as Advanced SystemCare have a feature to roll back your settings changes, which can lock in unwanted settings. Theirs is called Surfing Protection. If you have that or a similar Homepage Protection (etc.) setting preventing you from making desired changes, turn it off temporarily (or permanently).
(4) To mop up unwanted software, try the scanners other Firefox users have found helpful in this article: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]].
Hopefully that will tame it.
