Hello,
When trying to register a custom data flow component (.dll file) to the Global Assembly Cache. I received the following message:
Failure adding assembly to the cache: This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded.
I think that the problem lies with .NET version (as described in different forums). However the target framework of my project is .NET framework 4 (assembly built by runtime). Where can I see what the currently loaded runtime is?

Hi Eddy,
You are right. It is caused by that .Net framework 4 is not installed in the server. Please check the installed versions by the following article:

If the .Net framework 4 is not installed, please install it at first.
In addition, this issue sounds to be a .Net development related issue. Could you please post it in the appropriate forum in the future.

Not sure if this is an SQL or C# question, but here it goes: I am trying to create my first CLR assembly for SQL using C#. I found several examples online, and am following them. However, when I try to load my assembly into the SQL Server,

SQL Server 2008 uses .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (and, really, the base portion of the framework is just 2.0 with updates, 3.0 and 3.5 just update the 2.0 base and add some new assemblies). If changing the VS2010 to 3.5 didn't do it, I'd try starting out with
an entire new project and set the target to 3.5 at project creation time. Unless you're using some odd referenced assemblies that are version 1.1 or 4.0, this should work (I've been using VS2010 with 3.5 targets for SQLCLR for quite a while without incident).

This workbook is corrupt and cannot be loaded

Hello All,
I am on SAP GUI 7.20 (Patch Level 1) -- SAP BW 7.0 (Service Pack 19) -- BEx Analyzer 7.20 (Support Pack 2, Patch 1) -- Microsoft Excel 2010.
1. I tried saving a new query that I had created in BEx Query Designer 7.20 (Support Pack 2, Patch 1) .......... into workbok in BEx Analyzer. So this is an abosultely new query and I opened it in Excel 2010 and then I tried saving it as a workbook.
2. Then I log out off BEx and log back in. Then I go tried opening the new workbook that I had created and I get the error message " The workbook is corrupt and cannot be loaded". I tried saving other queries into workbooks and tried to open them.... but I am getting the same error for all of them.
3. But strangely, already existing workbooks are opening fine.
Is there any logical explanation behind this issue? BTW, I saw Note# 1498919 and its related to my problem. In that note, it talks about problems when moving from Excel 2007 - 2010, but here I am already in 2010.
If anyone has faced this problem or has some suggestions .... please advise.

I found a solution to the problem. Just as you, I'm running "SAP GUI 7.20, Patch Level 7" and "BI Addon SP4, Patch 2 and are using Excel 2010.
You need to go to "Excel options" -> "save" the you have to choose "always save in this format" set it to "97-2003" and now it works. you can create and open your workbooks in Excel 2010. I know is not the best solution but it works and you can always reset your settings after using Excel for Analyzer.
I hope you can use my advise.

The fingerprint scanner will be a function of new hardware.

That issue can be caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation (multiple versions can be installed side-by-side; SxS) that is missing some runtime components (Redistributable Packages) that Firefox depends on (problem with an embedded manifest file that specifies a specific runtime version).
You need to install the missing components (e.g. VisualC++ 2005 Redistrbutable).

Hi,
I have been trying to load an application to my BB 9000 since a monday and getting this error "This application is not compatible with your device and cannot be loaded".
As evident, I am new to BlackBerry development and got to port an existing J2ME project on BB 9000.
To load application I am using
- BB Dektop software 5 (latest)
- BB Device Software 4.6 is installed (which is the version of BB 9000 as well)
I am able to load sample JDE 4.6 applications but I build my project through same JDE and through eclipse (JDE compoment 4.6.0.19) as well but couldn't load it,
I even signed my app since I am using net.rim.device.api.servicebook api which requries signing.
Can someone please explain me
1) why this error occurs in first place
2) how to setup right envioroment to load an application on a given BB handset (BB 9000 vodafon India to be specific)
3) How would manage this process on a single machine if I have 4-5 different BB handsets.
I shall be thanful for any logical pointer to solution to these problems.

The main problem with your genrated ALX file. I think in your ALX file contains <fileset Java="1.49" _blackberryVersion="[5.0.0)"> TAG and remove the _blackberryVersion attribute. Then it will work.
So your final ALX file contains

Even thought it is not installed then make sure that your application may not delete from your device. Select the application and click on delete button in Desktop manager.

I get this message whenever I open firefox or a new tab. Anything I had tabbed to the top has gone, and the original homepage which shows all my recent visits is invalid. The full message is:

The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded.
Web addresses are usually written like http://www.example.com/
Make sure that you're using forward slashes (i.e. /).

It's not that I'm typing anything in wrong, it's when I first open Firefox or a new tab. Instead of displaying the firefox page showing my recently viewed websites it's just an invalid URL. Why would I be blocked from this page?

Home Premium cannot logon to a Domain, nor can it be set to try it.
when you get the logon window, try hitting the three-finger salute )Ctrl+Alt+Del) twice – it may bring up the old-style login window – enter your credentials there.
