This iPhone4s battery is draining the life out of ME! Help?
I just made the jump to my first smartphone because of the iPhone 4s. So many wonderful applications and functions. Mostly Siri. I'm so dissapointed. I have only had it 3 days. The battery drains so fast, I have to charge it 2x or 3x a day. My old LG octane (yeah.. I know) Could go days.. Im seriously thinking of returning this silly phone. I was so excited, and now, I feel like crying.
I have tried everything. System resets, drain battery, charge battery, deleted apps., deleted mail account, turned off Siri, push notifications, location services, time zone, I have turned off just about everything there is to turn off! It is STILL draining. And seriously?!? Whats the point of getting a smartphone that has all these wonderful things and all these cool functions.. only to have to turn them all off!!?? Its not very 'smart', if you ask me!

Thank you for replying to my Whiny post. LOL Here is a list of everything I did!
This was a new phone start up. I didnt back up from iCloud.
I tried turning various things on and off to solve it with no luck.
Finally, last resort. I did these 5 things last night before bed.
1. Deleted my email account.
2. Went to settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings.
3. Completely switched phone off and restarted.
4. Drained the phone completely and then fully recharged it. When I got up this morning, it was the first time battery charged to 100%
But still have major issue: Battery has drained 13% with 1 hour usage/1 hour standby
I have Siri running
Re set-up my email account
Switch on location services and have only 3 items I want, switched on (Siri, maps, and weather)
Switched off Location-Based iAds, Setting Time Zone,
Push notifications set for (messages, phone, and reminders) everything else is off
Brightness screen is halfway
Raise to speak is off
Network cellular data off
restrictions off
bluetooth off
passcode lock off
Date and Time is off
Accessability off
Fetch new data is on, but set to manually
Photostream on
Store cellular data off
Called Apple this morning. The tech was very curtious and sympathetic. They are sending me a new phone. I am not very optimistic, but I will try and hope for the best! I really, really love this iPhone 4s, but I really, really hate this freaking battery issue!

I cannot download nor update apps through Apps Store, error message states that app cannot be downloaded, to try again later, this has been happening for the last five days. Help!
It started when tryung to update Twitter. Now the problem is with every app I try to update or download.I have this issue as well. The App Store icon indicates there are updates available but when I open the app a popup says it can't connect to the store and the screen remains white. I have tried a hard reset (power & home button) and several other suggestions I have found throughout the forums here without success.

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.

Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.

Is this a sign the battery is on the way out?
I got this laptop about two and a half months ago as a refurb. Apart from some dodgy RAM that I replaced it's been a great laptop. Only thing I noticed at first was the battery didn't seem to last very long. I seem to recall reading the specs that from new the battery was rated at 5 hours? I can charge the battery up fully and it'll say in the menu that it has around 4 & half hours of time, but just sitting there surfing the net seems to zap the juice away.
I think that maximum I've only ever managed to get two and a half hours out of it, maximum and that's just surfing the net, not doing anything else. However, today I was just sitting there surfing the net again, the battery was running down as usual since I hadn't charged it since the night before but it must have had at least an hour left in it. I didn't get a warning, the battery indicator in the menu wasn't displaying red. Then all of a sudden, while I was in the middle of reading something interesting, the screen turned off, then after about ten or so seconds the light on the front turned off indicating the whole thing had shutdown.
I tried to turn it back on but it wouldn't let me. I flipped it upside down and pressed the button on the battery and the first LED flickered as if the battery was empty?
I have tried to recondition the battery by emptying it completely then leaving it on charge overnight but it didn't seem to make any difference. Should I be looking to get a new battery? If they weren't so expensive I'd get a new one anyway.I'm not so sure you have a problem. You seem to be saying you get 2+ hours to a charge? And it charges fine? This is not unusual, and your System Profiler specs look fine for battery capacity and cycle count.
The battery life quote of 5 hours is an advertising figure under atypical conditions - minimum backlight, reduced processor performance setting, no wireless wifi or Bluetooth, harddisk sleep when possible, etc. 2 hours under normal conditions seems about right to me.
The sudden shutdown without warning can happen when a battery is older and drops voltage faster than usual, or isn't calibrated. Try following the Apple battery calibration procedure:

Resetting won't magically give you twice the battery life under typical use, but might help with the shutdown warnings and life estimate readings. -

That is certainly true. However, the basic point of the article is that WMA copy-protected tracks (which are played by everyone who use on-line music services or who download music from many of the on-line stores) cause much lower battery life than what is advertised by the device manufacturers. Yes, it doesn't parse out how much is due to WMA and how much is due to the copy protection, but it is certainly useful information to know when reading battery-life specs. As I noted above, one of the more common subjects on this thread have to do with the difference between advertised battery life and actual battery life. -
Iphone4s battery keeps draining....
....i have not changed any of my settings and it started doing this after the ios6.1 update....PLEASE HELP!! It will drain the battery just sitting there. I don't have my email on push, wifi is not on, and I have limited what I have location services turned on.
Probably an app is stuck. Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

OS10.6.8, Firefox 24.0
The new Yahoo mail shows no graphics using Firefox 24.0 - just identical rectangles where new icons should be.\. However, the new Yahoo mail displays correctly in Safari and Chrome. I believe this has to to with the settings for Javascript. Those settings aren.t easy to access in the most recent Firefox 24.0 version. Help me, please.The settings for Javascript are either on or off, Fireefox 24 doesn't give you a option to turn off Javascript, unless you installed something like NoScript extension (or some other Javascipt blocking add-on)
If NoScript, then you need to use the View > Toolbars > Customize and drag the NoScript "Temp Allow All" button to the toolbar area to enable all enabled scripts (including Javascript) on that web page.
Under the Firefox Help menu is a option to restart with add-ons disabled to see if something you might have installed is causing your problem.
Reinstall Firefox or create another user account and run Firefox there to try to localize your issue.
I'm having no problem here on 10.6.8 in Firefox, Chrome or Safari, Yahoo Mail works perfectly. -
Do media cards suck the life out of your battery?
I just inserted a media card to my bb curve last night, and my battery was dead this morning when I woke up (it was next to fully charged last night). Anyone know if the media card sucks battery life? I'm pretty sure all the applications were closed. And, I don't think the phone shut down when scheduled either, so I'm wondering if something is running in the background now. Any advice would be appreciated.
No, a media card won't do that, in itself.
However--inserting a media card does cause the device to scan, index and create cache files, and thumbnails of the files and images on a media card, still not enough to drain a battery.
It is very likely only coincidental, and you probably did have something running in the background like an open active browser page or application.

Firefox is now just like IE - it sucks the life out of my computer
I've updated everything. Extensions addons cleaned my computer - everything. And firefox is as fat and bloated as IE or worse it seems. Takes forever to respond. Take forever to close a tab. Takes forever to switch to other apps. It's just plain horrible. Isn't there a 'light' version without all the extra bloat that will work? Is there an older version I can load that's reliable?
Firefox has always come up with improvements to reduce the bloating memory it consumes, make it more secure and embed new features.

We have 2 IPhone 4'a on the same account. Mysteriously it seems that we each are "missing" very important info from where we stored in our "Notes"
Neither one of us synced our phones recently, and I have no idea where to look, or why this would happen. We also have an IPAD2 and out notes are also missing from there.
Can anyone shed some light on this, and what we need to do to retrieve our notes, or prevent this from happening again?

I am trying to make a Presentation to email for others to see without a browser, but when I do, it doesn't show. I've downloaded Adobe Flash Player 10.0 r22, I've built the presentation, I've published the presentation and uploaded to my hosting. I have tried everythiing I can think of. It works on my machine; however, when I try to view it out of it's containing folder, it doesn't show anything but the preloader. Can someone please help me?
I can send you an example of a working Presentation along with a Zip file containing my presentation with everything I've built if my explanation isn't quite clear. Please help.
