This was an add on to a BAD SERVICE comment. but could do with some help.. cheers

My sympathies are with you, I just wished I had checked the Toshiba forums before making my purchase. I too have run into the non existence of their customer service. How on earth are you supposed to email Toshiba for some help. When I finally found an email Toshiba link,, it was a dud !! Comes up as an error ' no such address',, did a Google search for an email address,( that usually comes up trumps as someone that has been down that road and found it usually list it just to annoy,, and good on them) but could only find posts from people that had found the same as me... A dead end.."what does it say about a firm that deals in the world of communication, yet is frightened to be communicated with".
All I wanted to do was to put two more Gigabytes of Ram into my laptop, just wanted to make sure that I was buying the right ITEM.. As it is near impossible to find anybody that has this 'what you would think would be everywhere' item in stock.. Found someone ""OFFTEK"" -DON'T USE THEM !!! Unless you want to get shouted at.!!  And sent the wrong item.. Who said they had the memory I wanted in stock as I had found the right part number :- PA3669U-1M2G.. But they sent me a TOTALLY DIFFERENT ONE  PART NUMBER--- FT256MSQ64V8U.. But insist that it is OK to use.. I just wanted to check, so as not to mess up my expensive NEW laptop (Xmas pressie)...... I WAS SENT ""MADE BY ELIXIR M2N2G64TU8HD5B-AC   0940.TW 2GB.2Rx8.PC-6400S-555-13-F1.800 MM099270NF.XX  So if any of you knowledgeable people out there know if this will be alright to use,, please let me know.. My Laptop is-- wait for it,, as, according to Toshiba search/find/put in your laptop model thingy..My laptop does not exist.... Anyway it is a, Satellite Pro L300-298.......
Equally if anybody wants to buy this laptop from me just let me know... as I want to have a piece of Kit where the manufacturer actually gives a **bleep**.......

i see you are having ram problems. the only ram that is compatible is kingston. anything else will either not work or you will be shipped the wrong thing and dont order from toshiba direct either there site is wrong more that it is right. if you ever have any questions in the future about ram for your laptop or someone elses the link is below.

Therefore ONLY O2 can unlock the iPhone
it is NOTHING to do with Apple they have no authority

Apple do NOT lock iPhones ,carriers do

  • HT4972 I cannot update my Ipod to version 7 to be able to use the podcast app any longer.  This is very irritting.  This was oe of the biggest reasons I purchased my Itouch to begin with was to use the podcast app.  Now wnat?

I have an Itouch and was very pleased with it.  No problems with it.  I recently updated it, but it will not let me update to version 7.  Now I can no longer get access to the podcast apps.  This was the primary reason I purchased my I touch to begin with.  Now what?  Don't tell me I have put purchase a new Itouch just to be able to continue to listen to podcasts.  Are you kidding me?

I suspect you have a 4G iPod. As Apple said in June, iOS 7 is not compatible with the 4G iPod.
All the iOS devices compatible (iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and 5G iPod touch) with iOS 7 have at least 512 MB of memory (RAM). The 4G iPod only has 256 MB
To get the version copatible with the 4G:
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

  • I don't know what i need. I'am a mac user but i need to run quick books premier. This is the only software i need in windows 7. Could i have some advise in  what is better for me, Bootcamp or parallels

I don't know what i need. I'am a mac user but i need to run quick books premier. This is the only software i need in windows . Could i have some advise in  what is better for me, Bootcamp or Parallels

The Intuit rep said they don't "support" QuickbooksPremier on a "virtual machine." Do you know what I risk by using it, anyway? thanks for the advice about Boot Camp vs Parallels, BTW!
I use QuickBooks Pro for Mac, so I haven't had need to try any of the Windows versions in a VM. But I can't think why it wouldn't work. From within the VM, QuickBooks Premier would believe it is operating on PC hardware within Windows.
I would guess they mean that the multiple user support wouldn't work from within the VM. But I would think that would also work. Windows can see the Internet from within the VM, which means it can see your network. So if Windows can see the network, then QB Premier should be able to, too.
I know you can get Parallels as a demo, and maybe you could get QB Premier as trial software. So if you already have a retail copy of Windows to load into a VM, it would only cost you time to test what's possible.

    1) Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
    2) Now connect your iPad to your laptop and start iTunes.
    3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
    4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new laptop, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
    5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
    6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on Edit / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.
    That should do it.

  • I could really use some help getting this all straightened out!!!

Ok, I have a vista Home Premium, Service Pack 1. I need to get iTunes installed on this...The first time I tried, some time ago, and it told me it couldnt find "%APPDATA%\" and eventually I found a way around that...Untill I got my iPod touch, and it told me I should update it to 3.0, so I did, and now its not compatible with my itunes, so I removed itunes, but of course kept my library, ect, and now when I tried to get the new one, the "Cannot Find Network Location %APPDATA%\" (I believe its error code 1606) happened again...I tried what I thought was how I got around the last time, but it didnt work, and Im nearly positive that was how I did it...so I assume that that way is no longer possible...if anyone can just help me get itunes installed and working again with all my music, and compatible with my "updated" touch, then I would be _+*REALLY GREATFULL!!!!*+_

    Hi,
    1. Effective re-scrolling: just add some blank spaces at the end of the text that is to be scrolled.
2+3. Implement a MouseListener (and perhaps also the MouseMotionListener) (i.e "implements Runnable, MouseListener,MouseMotionListener") and add the necessary methods for registering how the mouse moves over an object and when it clicks on an object. When it moves over a text part, stop the thread. When it leaves the text, restart the thread. And when clicking, do as you do.
However, I find your code a bit unnecessary at parts. First, you can probably do with just writing your code in one class (Headlines3) without implementing more classes. Second, I would store the news bulletins and the URL:s in a different way: first as a separate text file (instead of having it in html parameters when calling the applet) and in the program I would store it as a matrix, something like String bulletins[][]=new String[nbrofbulletins][2]; where bulletins[x][0] is the text and bulletins[x][1] is the URL. Depending on the length of the bulletins, I would have a vector of x positions for currently visible bulletins and use these when positioning the bulletins - then it would be easy to implement that the bulletins get a different color when doing mouseOver on them.

  • Could i get some help with this one

the aim of this project is to make a n by n maze and traverse this. if, while traversing the maze the system realises that there is a dead end it turns back. My problem is that sometimes it turns back and sometimes it doesnt. Here, below is the method for traversing the maze. Could i get a second pair of eyes to help me out a bit with this code?
         * Prints out the current maze

That is truely one of the better threads that I've seen on the net for maze traversal.Forget "for maze traversal". That was one of the most interesting of all the threads I've seen here in quite a while. My sincerest admiration to those who contributed and eventually worked it out (and it wasn't me that's for sure), and especially to Keith. Impressive!

  • "This program cant install because MSVCR110.dll is missing".. but it isn't. Help please.

As the title says, the installer thinks the MSVCR110.dll file is missing. I have reinstalled the latest version of Visual C++ just to be sure the file wasn't corrupt.  I then checked my system32 folder and the file is there but Adobe updater doesn't seem to know where to find it. I have adobe flash player installed, its the latest update that will not install. Not an urgent issue considering i do have flash. but i'd like to figure this out. Thanks

I have solved the problem on my system and would like to share the solution.  This solution applies to Windows 7 64 bit (x64) operating system.
    (1) First step was installing the  Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2012.  I installed the (x64) version which applies to my 64 bit operating system.
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679
    (2) After restarting I verified that MSVCR110.dll was installed.  I found it in the System32 folder where .dll files normally go.
    File path:  Computer >> OSDisk(C:) >> Windows >> System32
** Here's the problem! In 64 bit systems the MSVCR110.dll must also reside in the SysWOW64 folder as well.  That's apparently where the Adobe Flash Installer is searching for the MSVCR110.dll file.
    (3) I opened the SysWOW64 folder and verified that MSVCR110.dll was not there.
    File path:  Computer >> OSDisk(C:) >> Windows >> SysWOW64
    (4) I opened both the System32 and SysWOW64 side by side and COPIED MSVCR110.dll from the System32 over to the SysWOW64 folder.  So now BOTH folders have a copy.
    (5) I retried installing Adobe Flash Installer and it worked!
Dear Adobe.  I just saved you a ton of workforce hours trying to solve this problem.  I would like a 1 year subscription to Photoshop/Lightroom please.

  • The software that's used to decode the media is not available on this system. Installing the correct decoders for the files you are working with may help to correct the problem.

I'm trying to make a DVD menu in Encore, and then when it came round to loading my AVI  files into it, bam. Apparently, I don't have the decoders necessary - this is unusual.
I'm running on a Apple MacBook Pro, and I have Perian installed for all my codec needs. I just don't understand!
Any help would be most appreciated...

    Welcome to the forum.
It is most likely that the error message is telling you the truth - the necessary CODEC is not available. It might not be installed, or might be broken.
The first step is to gather the full details of your .AVI files. This ARTICLE will help explain the potential issues. Sorry that the utilities mentioned are for the PC. Do not know if you can run them in Parallels, or Bootcamp, or other, but similar should be available for the Mac if you cannot.
I have to admit that I know little of Mac's, and especially how they install and handle CODEC's. On the PC, I can offer help there, but not in this case. Again, with my "sorry."
There could be two ways to handle the issue, and that might depend on the info gathered afer you read the above article. It could be that the simple installation of the proper CODEC will fix it perfectly and easily. Or, it could mean that you will need to convert your .AVI to something along the lines of a DV-AVI. Though I do not use them in Encore, I have no problem working with .MOV [Animation CODEC] files from FCP in my PrPro. I've just always done all editing in PrPro, before Exporting/Importing to En. I do not know how En will handle .MOV's, but if some Mac-only CODEC is used, probably not so well.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • I´ve just transferred all my information and set up from my old Mackbook to my new  Mackbook Air. When finished I tried to go in (my user name was transferred correctly), after typing my password a message said could not log in. help please

I had my old Mac with filevault protected so I disabled the filevault to remigrate my info.  but when I srtarted using the migration assistant it is taking too long time looking for computers with no more progress...so I can´t remigrate and of course the new mac air does not allow me log in.

All I had to do was complain.  I synced my iPhone to the Windows machine, checked the other account at iTunes prompting (where no apps had shown up previously), reconnected the iPad, and 140 apps downloaded including the App Store.  I have no idea why.
