Thousands of new apps???? Where???

Am I looking in the wrong place? App world? I don't think there are a thousand apps in the entire store! Are more coming? Out of the thousands of android apps in android market, there is probably only acouple hundrend that are popular. Why couldn't the playbook just get them? Instead of ....well, useless apps! I mean, OH BOY! Facebook and e-mail and a calendar! Really???? Who the **** cares? How about at least 30 android apps people actually use?!?

Yes, and some are there now, I think there are literally thousands more coming.
If I recall correctly, I believe I read that RIM had gifted 15,000 PlayBooks to developers who had signed up in the past 30 days, as part of their "submit an app, get a PlayBook" deal. That alone means ~15,000 apps.
In addition, I have already read the head of the apps/developer section of RIM state that they are SEVERELY back logged approving apps and getting them into AppWorld. So, I take that for what it is.. just a sign that there's more to come.
Meanwhile, my blood pressure remains normal. You might find it calming to go kills some pigs with Angry Birds for the time-being.

What do you mean make folders? Like folders inside an application or accessing system folders? You can't do the latter.

Explore Settings > General > Accessibility. Around page 128 of the User Guide is probably appropriate.

Try first signing out of the iTunes and App Store in Settings>iTunes and App Stores (tap on your apple ID and choose sign out) then sign back in.
Then do a hard reset, hold down the home button and the sleep/wake button at the same time until you see a white Apple then release.
Then go ahead and try again, should work.

Where should i install new apps? like games?

When i click to install new apps and games it asks me where i would like to install it, Phone memory or External memory, i realise that the phone memory is quicker but theres less space there... would i be able to install apps to external memory with no problems?. I have the N95 8GB...

I always install apps on a memory card, or in the case of the N95 8GB to the secondary mass storage.

Where has the CBC News App gone?

I have had a problem with the CBC News App the News stories were frozen. It stated that the story had been up dated to the day and time shown on the i pad, but the story was 3 days old and did not change fro day to day. This occured after up grading the app from the i tunes program.The weather forecast was current.
Does anyone have an explanation ?
I deleted the App on the i pad on Feb 2nd and then went to the store to downlode it again but it was and is no longer there. Why?

I have a similar problem. My CBC News app can no longer open on my iPad and it is no longer available in the Canadian App Store. This is an excellent app and I would like to restore it. Does anyone know what is going on?

After Ios 8 upgrade I am unable to download new apps?

After the upgrade to iOs 8 I am unable to download new apps from the iOs App Store.
I have attempted to download the "Instapaper" App this mornig several times and have been unsuccessful.
I launch the App Store and find the Instapaper App, click on the +Free button, which then turns into the download button , I click on the download button and the spinning icon appears for a short period of time and then it reverts back to the +Free button. I have repeated this 10+ times and get the same results.

IPod Touch 4G won't sync new apps on 2nd authorized computer, but WILL sync music, podcasts, etc.

Everywhere I've read about apps not syncing to the iPod touch while using iTunes on a second authorized computer have mentioned that they could sync nothing to the device. Yet I have a different problem, one where I have no problem syncing new music, podcasts, pictures, etc., and only new apps refuse to sync to the device.
I recently purchased a new iPod Touch 4G. My computer being away for repairs at the time that I bought it, I synced only podcasts, apps, pictures, and video to the device using a friend's computer under a different Apple ID. When I first synced it, I authorized that computer with the device, and it mentioned you could sync the device with up to 5 computers, so I figured I would have no problem when I got my own computer back.
Having now received my computer back, I connected my new iPod touch to my own iTunes under my Apple ID and authorized my computer as the second authorized computer. These are the only two computers I have ever synced the device with.
I copied my music library, more pictures, and more podcasts to the device with no problems, and they play/show on the device no problem. Also, I can still access and use all the content previously on my iPod.
I have downloaded a few new free apps that I wanted to sync to my iPod using my computer, but when I go to sync them to my iPod, they won't sync to the device. I have downloaded all the apps I had originally put on my iPod using my friends computer so that I would receive updates for the apps automatically. I have not tried to sync these, though I have (or iTunes at least is telling me I have) synced any updates that have since come up for the apps already on my iPod.
I have tried clicking and dragging the new apps from the apps tab over to the device tab, and iTunes shows them syncing, and to the best of my knowledge, shows that it has finished syncing them. It also shows that it has completely synced all the new apps when I try syncing on the apps tab under the device tab (the one that shows up when you click on the tab for your iPod, and is next to Summary, Pictures, Video, etc.). I have all the boxes checked off, and the boxes next to all the apps are checked off as if they're on my iPod, but they don't show up on the screen display next to it. When I click and drag the new apps over so they appear and click "apply," iTunes shows that it has completed the syncing process, but the apps won't show up on my iPod, and disappear from the sceen display on the device apps tab the next time I sync my iPod.
I have the latest version of iTunes, and have downloaded all updates for it. My iPod's less than a month old, so I don't think there's any updates for the iPod itself.
I also currently don't have the ability to sync over wi-fi, or have wi-fi access on my iPod at home, though I could set it up if it would fix the problem. Right now, I'm only syncing my iPod using usb and iTunes.
I would prefer, if possible, not to have to restore the iPod to factory settings, and begin anew. However, if this is necessary, any help on how to restore the iPod and back it up would be much appreciated.

Hey, I'm probably too late and you may have already solved it but here's a solution. In iTunes go to Edit then preferences and then click on reset dialog warnings. What happens is when you first sync your ipod, you receive a message saying something like transfer?and you've probably selected "Do not show this message again". I don't really know why but iTunes assumes that the apps on your iPod are already on your computer and therefore need no transferring.
After you've reset it, the same message should pop up about transferring. As long as you don't click don't show, you should be good to go.

Why is it that when looking through new apps in the apps store on my ipad in release date mode does it return to the first 1-12 after viewing pparticular apps?

why is it that when I look through the new apps in the apps store in release date mode it returns to the first page after veiwing more information about some apps, I could be ten to twenty pages in and have it happen.
Also, I only speak and read English and although there are probably great apps for people from other nations, I don't want to wade through all the apps that I can't make use of. I expect that people of other nationalities or languages don't want to have to wade through every app that they can't make use of, is there not a way that alI users could filter by language?
I mean no offence to anyone but with a collection of hundreds of thousands of apps in all languages and the jump back to the begining after possibly being into the list by a number of pages I stop looking after awhile and I'm sure I've missed some excellent apps by doing so.

How to manage Events in the new app Photo ?

I downloaded the new app Photo, and I have a big problem of using : I can't use the same way of managing my photos than iPhoto.
In the previous iPhoto, I create "Events" and these events constitute a "album".
For example, I have iPhoto Events "Soho", "Tower Of London", "Pub with friends" etc in the album "London", which operate like a Playist.
Since I have been using Photo, my iPhoto events became Albums, and the new Events are Moments, that we cannot rename !
The problem is when I am in the London Album, I can't reach my event "Pub with friends" directly, I can only reach the Moment, with a non-explicite name... So I don't know where I was, that's catastrophic for me and my XXX photos..
How can I do to avoid this lost of information ? It's not possible to rename all the Moments by the name of the old events ?
I liked this way of classification, Apple stucked us in this way and now changes the rules !

Do you mean that the contextual menu will only offer "Show in Moments"? The moments are more useful, if you assign locations by adding GPS tags to your photos before importing them to Photos. Moments are based on dates and locations. That will take care of the "where I was".
If your photos have GPS assigned, you can click the name of the location in the Moment and see the photos on an Map, for example:
Click the location name "Cutty Sark" and you will see the the map:

You are right, but how could i send it to Apple? when the phone company first replaced my iphone they had in stock alots of iphones and they just sent mine back to Apple and gave me a new one, so all i did is to give them my phone, but now how could i sent it to Apple? and i cant send it by myself, and the store wont do that, its a lost for them.. so sending it to Apple wasnt an option from the begining.
and for the record, i dont think the store where i bought it is an authorized shop.. its just a store who boughts phone's from Apple in a low price and sells it in much more money..

The new app is called Photos. It's icon was added to the Dock. Both, Photos and iPhoto, are located in your Applications folder.

Push one new app and Profile Manager resends them all; turn this off?

I manage the ipads for a medium sized school district. We're using Apple Configurator on Maverics to manage about 700 ipads most of which have been updated to iOS7 and supervised manually through the mini that functions as our MDM and server.
So average day: a teacher requests a new app to be pushed out to the 30 ipads that are in one of the shared ipad carts. I have all the ipads in a device group in profile manager, so I go out to itunes, download the app, upload it to profile manager and add it to the device group, hit save, and I can see that a new active task has begun pushing that app out to all the devices in the cart.
The active task used to just say "Push Apps to [device group] 30 of 30 in progress: [#] succeded" 30 copies of an app, one for each of 30 devices. Totally normal.
Now since the update to iOS7/Maverics when I send one app to one cart configurator is erasing EVERY app on that cart and resending them ALL. So now the active task in the same situation looks like "Push apps to [device group] __ of 538; [#] succeded." Where the 538 is the total number of apps on all 30 ipads.
As you can imagine this is a bit of a mess. Not only does it bring the mac server to its knees, but it makes the ipads in question useless until the apps have all redownloaded-- which can take hours, if not days, depending on other network traffic. At the very least with iOS7 one doesn't have to hit "confrim" on each app install, but still, small consolation there.
Is there a way to turn this weird behavior off? Are other people experiencing this? Is it just a horrible bug that someone is planning to fix very soon?
