Three things I don't like,but I'm still a fan!

There are three things I just don't like about my sleek, gorgeous, iPhone 4. Don't get me wrong, in addition to my iPhone I own an iPad, iTouch, AppleTV, and Airport Express. I'm a fan, I love them all!
1) Absence of a Good Navigation Program
-Google Navigation is hard to beat, and not available for iPhone (I know, ******* contest)
-Verizon Navigation carries with it a subscription cost and doesn't compare to Google
-I'm using TeleNav GPS + and it's OK, but no satellite maps and hybrids
2)Voice Commands
I can make 'contact' calls using voice commands fairly successfully, but none of the other advertized voice commands work for me, or the Verizon store folks (common problem)?
3) Email Handling
I once posted a comment that there has to be a better way than having to 'edit' then touch every email in my inbox to delete them. Someone replied that I should be happy with that, 'Should have seen what we had before', hmmmmmm? I sometimes receive close to 100 emails in a day when I'm on the road, and Idon't get to them till late in the day. I don't enjoy having to go through the delete one-at-a-time process.
Summary
I know my next comment will probably raise the ire of many Apple fans, but please don't forget, I'm a fan myself.
I purchased a Droid II in that era when we didn't know when and if Apple and Verizon would strike a deal. I didn't expect much, just wanted a smart phone. I was quickly amazed at the function rich environment. Voice commands, Google Navigation, email handling are very efficient.
After the Verizon / Apple deal came to fruition, I added a line, purchased an iPhone 4, handed the Droid II off to one of my daughters and often miss it. I'm praying that the advertized '200 iOS improvements' coming this Fall IOS resolve these issues - IM

Change the Show name to something different for each season, e.g. <Show>, Season <X>. Probably best to make the Album name match the show as well.

It is not Apple that decides this. Since Apple is just the retailer, they do not own the copyrights to the content they sell on the iTunes store, if the copyright owner decides to remove something from the store that you have purchased Apple must abide by the terms of their licenseing agreements and remove it. Regretablly this also removes the items from your purchase history. This is why it is up to you to download and backup all of your purchases if you wish to maintain your investment.

Try and force your iPad into Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.

On some occasions - although these are very rare - the speed of the forums is approaching a third rate Middle African site that uses century old servers connected over dial-up modems, but most of the time it is even slower with the Adobe forums.
I know you have no intentions to improve the speed of the forums, because why spend money on something as stupid as forums now that Technical Support is almost non-existent.
Why don't you close the forums altogether? You have your rental income, so why spend time and money on something that vaguely resembles something called user support.
When are you going to pull the plug?

The site has been very slow at times over the past week but it's not Adobe's fault and there's not a lot that can be done in the short term to resolve it. Someone with a lot of resources has decided DDOSing the servers we are hosted on is a fun way to pass the time.

Neo2 Platinum discovery - BIOSes above 1.5 don't like internal IDE cards

I upgraded my BIOS tonight from 1.5 to 1.B only to discover my system wouldn't boot. I thought it was a problem with my SATA drive, so I disconnected all my other drives, and it worked. Because I was having several other problems with this BIOS, even when it was working, I downgraded to 1.9, but the same thing happened: with all my hard drives connected, my system wouldn't boot into Windows. After the DMI prefetch check, it just sat there like a lame goose. I disconnected my hard drives one by one to see which was the culprit, only to discover that the two drives connected to my Promise internal ATA100 IDE card were causing the problem. If those two drives were not connected, the machine booted normally, but when they were connected, the machine hung at start up.
I proceeded to try this for 1.8 and 1.7 with the same results. Only 1.5 seemed to work with my IDE card. I switched around PCI slots, turned off my ethernet slots (I was intermittently getting a Realtek ethernet jack error, which would also prevent me from loading up. This even happened in 1.5, but disabling that got rid of the problem. I use wireless anyway.)
Anyone know why this is the case? I suppose that it is not inherently PCI IDE cards that the BIOSes don't like, but the existence of hard drives on external channels. Because if I disconnect the hard drives from the card, there is no problem, and the OS boots normally.
I have heard of one other person in this forum having this problem, but I don't have the luxury of plugging my extra hard drives in internally.

Score sets: don't like their management....

I often use "command-3" selecting various sequences to quickly view their score set. It's very useful for me.
The thing I don't like is that every time a new set is created and saved, so, after having worked a lot on my song, I find a ton of sets which I don't need anymore...
It's annoying tihs behaviour. Why Logic automatically saves the set I use only for a moment? If I want to save it I can do it by myself...
And then, if you want to delete them, you have to make it one-by-one....

I don't have a question so much as a comment for APPLE. I am a new iPhone 5s user and it has many things I like but It is too small and I can only talk on the phone and use the internet if i am in a position to use a wifi connection and that is not good

I am a new iPhone 5s user. I like many of the features it offers. I don't like that I cannot talk and use the internet (if I am away from WI-FI) and this phone is too small. I am actually thinking of returning it and going back to an Android. After all the hassle it took to get all my stuff working on this phone , it may be worth the switch. This phone needs to be able to multitask freely in this day and age. Also Safari is not the best search engine but I could work with it if I could talk and use it at the same time. I use my phone for business and this is a feature that is needed in my line of work.

I understand that the OP failed to do research. But then, I wasn't replying to the OP. I was replying to Chris. I have Verizon. I can talk and use data at the same time with my Droid Maxx. Therefore, the problem is not just with the network. It would be technically possible for an iPhone to do that on Verizon/Sprint if Apple had chosen to use a different chip, such as the kind other phone manufacturers have elected to use.
Of course, this is probably all irrelevant to the OP's issue. It was merely a point of clarification, especially for those people who are used to being able to use both voice and data at the same time on Verizon. When they switch to an iPhone, they are often surprized at the limitation.

That would be my suggestion. Just keep using the common one for purchases in the stores. Then each get another AppleID using a free gmail, AOL, hotmail, MS Live or whatever email account.
Delete your current iCloud account and login with the new AppleID, and logout of Messaging and then backin with the new AppleID. Now you have a shared iTunes/App store account, but completely separate, independent iCloud and iMessage accounts.

OK, I downloaded the utility, but during the installation process I was advised to shut down Outlook, or restart it after installation. I immediately cancelled the installation. Obviously, this thing is going to muck about with Outlook. I don't want anything to be touching or looking at any of my installed program unless I tell it too AFTER I fully understand what it is doing and how to reverse the whole process in case it gets mucked up.
I looked for a manual or some sort of documentation on the configuration utility, but there does not seem to be any.

I find it incredilble that there does not seem to be a stand alone, plug the usb cable in, and make a back up (system image) of an iPhone. After all, the thing seems to be hand held computer. Why not have a simple back up utility? Even the newer phones only have, what, a few GB. Lots of images would fit on an outboard TB disk.
Then if every thing gets FUBAR, simply restore the phone the the last working image.
Does no one keep controled squential backups of iPhones and iPads like you should do with any other computer, workstation or laptop that is a serious business tool?

I don't have the disk and i tried the shift key and it didn't do anything, i have tried like everything but it won't work and i was givin this computer with a charger and that is all nothing came with it and i don't think that it had the lion thing on it either i never got to that it just won't turn on and i have another mac that was a family members but it won't turn on either at all it won't load anything the screen stays black. so i don't really know at all what to do is there anything else? i don't want to take it anywhere because i have no money for that, and i need this computer for school. Make a bootable backup of your current system before upgrading or make a new partition on your hard drive and install the new OS on the new volume. Now two more things for someone who believes they are competent:
1. Don't believe everything you read on these forums. Only users with problems post here. Millions of other users don't post here because they manage not to have problems.
2. Don't use all CAPS. That is considered shouting. Shouting is bad netiquette. Please use mixed case.

Because it says it's incompatible when it can't be, I got hope. I get error messages all the time with my iPod and iPhone that it cannot sync and that 'this device is not capapble of connecting to iTunes' stuff. I literally forget that happened, plug it in again and it works, I later realize that iTunes made a mistake, they do that.
