Could anyone tell me the difference between the using of "throw" and "throws" when writing a custom exception class??

You can throw an exception in a line of code. A method is declared to throws an exception.
public class Sample{

However, Outlook getting crashed and throws an alert message as "microsoft outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close.", it's happens always, when i launch outlook. please suggest me, how can i comet from this issue.

Bi Dashboards issue works properly some times and after not display pointers data and give un expected error and throw login window

I have toff situation where we deployed bi dashboards in our site and it works some time and some times not,
and some times it keep loading and throw a login window.
works when
we restart performance point service and if not work
we re create secure store service and generated new key and create new pps service application
before that we stopped secure store and pps service using c.a in application server
we are using ssas for datasource to connect from dashboard designer
we have seperate server for ssas dbs
seperate application server running: pps service and secure store service
two web front ends: one of running secure store
1 Domain controller + central admin service running
some times after 4 -5 hours bi dashboards works , we dashboards not display data and throw un expected errors,
also when we try to connect using a dashboard designer from a seperate client machine in same domain ,we have same issue , we unable to connect to ssas datasource server, and if connect some times unable to deploy dashboards.
we tried every thin icreased server time out values in ssas server

Whatever file exist in directory should execute with out any condition because they delete all files after exection of my process chain. They are using another process chain once a day for deletion of all files in that directory.
So directory always contains fresh files.
Here by using routine in infopackge i am unable to run all files one by one at a time.
As of my knowledge by using infopackage we can run only one file at a time.
Here my question is , can we run more than one file in single run of infopackage?
or can we have any function module to run the infopackage from externally? so that i can use function module in abap program? any ideas..

Your tool is wrong if it says to never throw Exception. This was a common recommendation back in the .NET v1 days but has long since been thrown out. It is perfectly fine to use Exception when you have a general exception that provides no information
that an application can use to make an informed opinion.
The general rules of exception throwing is to throw the most specific exception that makes sense. If there is no specific exception that applies and it would be useful for the caller to handle the exception differently than other exceptions then creating
a custom exception type is warranted. Otherwise throwing Exception is reasonable. As an example you might have an application that pulls back product data given an ID. There is no built in exception that says the ID is invalid. However an invalid ID
is something that an application may want to handle differently than, say, an exception about the product being discontinued. Therefore it might make sense to create an ItemNotFoundException exception that the application can react to.
Conversely there is no benefit in having different exception types for disk full and disk quota met. The application will respond the same in either case.

Read payload for error messages and throw a red flag in SXMB_MONI

Hello All,
I am calling a synchronous web service from PI ccBPM and getting a response back to PI ccBPM itself.
So the steps in BPM are receive(from CRM), sync step (to call web service) and a control step (to end the BPM process).
The requirement is to check if error_list node in the response from web service call has a value in it and throw an error in SXMB_MONI so that they can easily identify how many messages errored out out of thousands of messages.
This is the response structure for web service if there are errors.

In Response map when Error segment appear's fail the maping so that you can see the list of message in MONI. and do not need to put any conditions in MONI.
I mean in your Respoinse when ERROR_LIST segment coman under that one manatory field you select and take that field length say 20 characters.
source field->Substring (0,100) get the 100 characters from source in that case case from source it won't get 100 characters mapping will fail so that you can see the Error messages in SXMB_MONI.
Finally what I am saying do the wrong condition mapping in the response mapping so that mapping will fail.

I'm trying to select a row from a table in Visual Composer. What I need to do it's to click over this row and throw an Url. At the moment, I've added a column with a Pushbutton with the formula to show the link; it works fine. But I need to do it without buttons just selecting the row.
Is there anyboby who knows about that?

Hi
To do this you will have to use a data store and a guard condition on the line which is triggered by the select action. You need to store a value in the data store each time a select action is performed. The guard condition should check for this and only perform the action when the value in the data store is greater than 0.

How to throw and handle event defined in component interface

Hi folks,
I have defined a component interface with an event 'open_info'
I have some sub components which are implementing that component interface. I also get the two events generated (the interface check box is not marked)
I use those sub components and try to handle the event. but unfortunately the event is not handled.
I'm not sure if I do everything right. I checked the interface checkbox at the events tab of the controller of the sub component. I then may handle the event in the embedding main component. but it appears to be a different event.
probably I eed to access the interface controller and throw the event there, but I don't know how.
I couldn't fnd documentation or wdr* components which deal with that issue. do you have any suggestions?

Do the following in the component being used:
say component name is ZCMP_01
go to COMPONENTCONTROLLER
Create an Event with necessary parameters if needed, say Event name is EVNT_01 and has an importing parameter, say PARAM_01 type char10,
Make sure you have set the interface check box. Now this event is available in the INTERFACECONTROLLER.
Say ZCMP_01 has a view with a button, on click of the button, call a method in the COMPONENTCONTROLLER.
Perform all the required operations, At the required point, fire EVNT_01
wd_this->fire_EVNT_01_evt(
PARAM_01 = 'sample' ).
Now the other component that has to use ZCMP_01, say ZCMP_02
In the component properties od ZCMP_02, add usage for ZCMP_01, say USG_CMP_01
Go to the view in ZCMP_02 where you wish to handle the event EVNT_01 of ZCMP_01,
Go to Methods tab, create an event hadler, say EVNT_01_HNDLR ... method type = Event Handler,
Event = EVNT_01, Controller = INTERFACECONTROLLER, Component Use, USG_CMP_01.
Now your event handler will have foll parametrs: WDEVENT .. type ref to CL_WD_CUSTOM_EVENT,
PARAM_01 type CHAR10
Handle the event as required.

You can't find them all anywhere. You'll just encounter them as you use different APIs.
One of the most basic concepts around exceptions has to do with the difference between checked and unchecked exceptions. Any exception that extends RuntimeException is unchecked. Which means that if you call a method that throws an unchecked exception, you don't have to provide a catch block. These exceptions are usually thrown for things that could be avoided, i.e. programmer error.
The compiler will require you to have a catch block for all checked exceptions. This means you should take steps in your code to handle them and retry the operation, such as user errors.

Central admin application pool is auto stopping and throwing 503 error
EventLog error: The Module DLL C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\webengine4.dll failed to load. The data is the error.
All the application pool are auto stopping and when we trying to open central admin getting 503 error.
If I start the app pool again it will auto stop.

couple of checks
1.check if the needed module is present in the system32\inetsrv folder. If it is absent then delete/comment the appropriate line in the
system32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config in the globalModules section. Perhaps you will have to delete some modules (that also won't be found and pointed by event viewer) from your IIS application pool.
2.
1) Open IIS.
2) Right click on your Application-Pool for the web application and select "Advanced Settings".
3) Set "Rapid-Fail Protection" -> "Enabled" to False.
If this is true, the Application pool is shut down if there are a specified number of worker process crashes within a specified time period. By default, an application pool is shutdown if there are 5 crashes within a 5 minutes interval.

Sorry, if this reply seems like a products plug (which it is), but this is really how we solve this software engineering challenge at JKI...
At JKI, we create VI Packages (which are basically installers for LabVIEW instrument drivers and toolkits) of our reusable code (using the package building capabilities of VIPM Professional). We keep a VI Package Configuration file (that includes a copy of the actual packages) in each of our project folders (and check it into source code control just as we do for all our project files). We also use VIPM Enterprise to distribute new VI Packages over the network.
Also, as others have mentioned, we use the JKI TortoiseSVN Tool to make it easy to use TortoiseSVN directly from LabVIEW.
