Time Approval Rejection in workflow

Hi ,
Can anyone provide the workflow configuration details in CATS and also during the approval process of CATS,if an employee got rejected ,his notification has to reach to his own account instead of Business Workplace.
If anyone provide me the solution, your solution is appreciated and rewarded.
Regards,
Anu

Hello Ananthi.
Firstly with the CATS approval , check in Tcode PFTC for the workflow task , i think the task no is 40007901 - std task.
Secondly you need to activate the task if inactive and then follow the steps for BO as i mentioned in my earlier reply.
The next step is to talk to your BASIS administrator to activate outlook notification ( they should be aware of how this works )
Then submit a cats request as an employee and check in SWIA if the workitem exists, if it does i will give you the manager as the next agent ( the system picks the next agent as the chief of org unit A012 as a standard functionality ).
Login as the Manager and Reject the request - On doing this it must trigger a notification to the initiator.
I hope this gives you a complete scenario.

  • Why I am not able to approve/reject my workflow notification from email?

For R12 AP Invoice Approval Workflow, I have done Approver group set ups in AME. In HR People form, set my email id for that person. In FND USER from, used that person as the employee to have the email id populated for the user and saved the record.
When I am creating an invoice and initiating workflow, I am getting a notification in my mailbox but cannot approve or reject from the mailbox. I may hit the Approve link but it is not doing anything. In order to approve/reject the notification, I have to log in as that person in Oracle Apps and do it from there.
Is there anything I am missing? I have a requirement that the approver only approve / reject from their mailbox and they do not log in to Oracle Apps to see their notifications. What to do to make them enable approving from mailbox only?
I am having a steep deadline and will very much appreciate your responses.
    Thanks.

When you try to approve/reject or do any operation on the workflow using email the issue is the you do not have the responsibility/user values set.
You need to login to Oracle Apps and select the correct resp in order to take action on workflow.
Please check if you are table to take action from oracle apps that explains it. there are a couple of metalink notes too.
You may apply appropriate patch and then this will work.
If it is an SSHR WF you need to be minimum on ATG ROLLUP 7

    Hi All,
Requirement: To send a mail with Approve & Reject buttons to outlook inbox.
Approach: I have used the user-decision step in the workflow and the approve, reject buttons are displayed . As far as solution in SAP inbox is concerned, it is solved.
However the requirement is to show the mail with the buttons in the outlook mail.
Resolution Required For: to show the mail with the buttons in the outlook mail. I am new to workflows sending mail to outlook inbox. Is there any way to do this using ABAP developments.
    Thanks for your time.

    Hi,
If you are on ECC 5.0 or above, you can use the Extended Notif. for achieving this.
How are you getting the Outlook mail ?. If you already have Extn.Notif, then do the following :
    1. In Transaction SWNCONFIG,for your Scenario and Category,
in the Subscription Basis Data -->Subscription Settings,
Set the parameter SHOW_ACTION_DECISION_AS as "LINK"
This will give you the options of your user decision as LInks in Outlook mail.
There is lot of material in this forum for Extended Notif. if you search.
    Hope this helps.

  • In approval workflow, can we have one action in which item can be review and approve/reject

    Hello,
I have created approval workflow using SPD.
While sending notification to approver, we need to mention link for viewing : [%TaskProcess:Item Title%][%Variable:InternetLink%] and for approve/reject : [%current task: form_URN%]
So is it possible to have one link, where reviewer can review document and approve or reject it. he/she should not have to go again to mail and click on another link.
    Thanking you in advance.

  • Moving the Shopping Cart workflow forward in a approver Rejects a line item

    Hi Friends,
We a facing an issue while Shopping Cart Approval process.
We have designed our SC Workflow , with Schema and 4 Process levels. Currently the Approvals are happening fine.
Issue is happening when a Line Item is Rejected by a Single Approver. The Approval process does not move forward.
We need need to move the SC process forward.
    Ex: SC: 1000000032
    Approval Flow:
    ITEM1:  APP01 -> APP02
    ITEM2:  APP05 -> APP07
    Scenario:01 :
Once APP01 & APP05 approves in first level.  Then APP02 & APP07 approves . Then the process completes.
    Scenario:02:
Once APP01 Rejects & APP05 Approves in first level. Then the SC WF does not move forward.
How can I move the WF process forward once a approver rejects.
    Need your inputs.
    Regards,
    Jagan

    Hello Markus,
what you describe does not correspond to condition standard determination to know if decision has to be checked or not.
Indeed, this evaluation is done by /SAPSRM/IF_WF_PROCESS_SBWF~IS_DECISION_ACCEPT_REQUIRED method from /SAPSRM/CL_WF_PROCESS_SBWF class.
Inside this method, the default behavior is based on decision of current process level:
    - If it is not "rejected" or not "approved" (this means, if it is "inquired"), there is an interaction
    - else, there is no interaction.
Then, for "rejected" or "approved" decision, a Business Rule evaluation is done in order to check if the document responsible need to accept the current decision.
If evaluation ID is true, acceptance by Contact Person is required.
I am currently not able to check workflow behaviour for partial rejection when no acceptance by contact person is customized.
I will see this next week.
    Regards.
    Laurent.

  • Workflow initiator does not get workitems when PR Approve rejects.

    Hi,
Workflow initiators does not get workitems when PR Approve rejects. Is there any thing missing in that .
    Please let me know .

    Gurprit Bhatia
Edited by: GURPRIT BHATIA on Jan 28, 2009 8:38 AM

    Hi GB,
In order that the WF initiator gets workitems on PR rejection, you need to assign method 'InfoReleaseRejected' (BO BUS2009) to a task in the PR rejection flow of your WF. If this is done, then check if you have assigned WF Initiator as the Agent in that task.
    Hope this helps.

  • Workflow approval/reject buttons have dissapeared

    Hello
I am using workflow task to approve or to reject the workflow assign task. I've just tried to reorder the workflow task fields by entering into "Workflow Task (Sharepoint 2013)" content type, and then entering into "Column order" there,
and then I just reordered some fields inside. This caused the dissapearence of approve/reject buttons from workflow task approval form.
    Please help!
    Thanks

I was having the same issue, though I don't know how I got there.  (I had "help" on the site.)
I performed these steps to resolve the issue:
    Deleted the Workflow Tasks list.
Created a new workflow "Delete Me" for the sole purpose of creating the Workflow Tasks list again.  Publish the workflow.
Went back to the original workflow and selected the new Workflow Tasks list and republished.  The buttons came back.
Then, I deleted the "Delete Me" workflow.
Hoping this solution is valuable to someone else,

  • UWL Approve/Reject - Workflow Container Element

    Hello,
I have a custom WF which uses a task copied from a standard. It is a User Decision task based on TS20000135 (Check Trip Facts).
If the user rejects the trip he will need to Add a Memo which will be bound to container element AttachObjects.
To test the existence of an attachment, I have a completion based on this field but I also need to check if the user pressed the "Send trip back for correction" or "Reject" button, otherwise he will also have to enter a memo in case he approves the trip.
Anyone knows what is the WF Container Element that will contain the action value?
Moreover, does anyone know what are the values for each action? (i.e. Approve, Reject, Send Back).
    Thanks in advance
    Antonio

This value will appear in the task container of a decision task. I think it is of type SWD_LINES-RETURNCODE. I feel the container element is RESULT. This element gets created default in a decision task. Check the standard Decsion task 8267. Generally it returns a 4 digit number. Suppose you have 3 decision it will return 0001,0002 and 0003. Just analyze that Container Element in the task and you will resolve Ur issue. Test and find out which number returned is corresponding to your decision.
    Thanks

  • Error: "Selected request was already approved/rejected"

    Hello,
Recently we have upgraded the system from EHP4 to EHP7. We are using Webdynpro ABAP leave application (standard workflow). Here, at approval level, on opening any leave request item, an error "Selected request was already approved/rejected" appears. We found SAP Note 1773641 and followed the suggested steps. But the error still exists. Please suggest.
Secondly, it is observed that if there are more than one leave request in approver's UWL, then by default the record with highest date is opened (ie. out of leave requests of 01.07.2014, 07.08.2014, 29.08.2014, every time leave record of 29.08.2014 is displayed even though any other item is selected). Is it a standard behavior or requires some settings?
    Regards,

as UR IN ehp 7  here u cnan use POWL other than UWL ...it wud better ....what is the workflow ur using for leaves here in task ur in SWFVISU ... what are the parameters assigned to hat task in SWFVISU
No it is not standard behaviour, go to ptarq and check in display documents what is the status of that 29.08.2014 leave type and if it approved and is updated in 20001 go to ptarq and click on delete documents and delete that already approved leave from that

  • Functionality of OM statuses Active, Planned Submitted Approved & Rejected

    Hi gurus,
I want to understand the functionality & concept of the statuses in Tx PO13, PO10 etc
    We see
    1.Active
    2.Planned
    3.Submitted
    4.Approved
    5.Rejected
my question is regarding a requirement.
We need if some object is created that should be submitted for approval and in  this case e-mails shud be triggered for approval to superiors. Once that is approved the created object shud exist as a valid object in system, otherwise should exist in system but not as an active object and cannot not be used for assigning holders. I mean should not be a valid object.
I want to know if these statuses will help doing it with work-flows and can we restrict the user to use only one of the five statuses..
    Pls advise ...
    Regards,
    Anil Kumar

    Hi,
Status identifies the current standing that an object or infotype record has within an organizational plan. Status also affects the type of editing you can do. There are five statuses available:
    Active
    Planned
    Submitted
    Approved
    Rejected
Objects with different status can appear in the same plan version. The active objects could represent current operations at your firm, and the planned objects could represent changes you plan to make, for example, adding a new department or new position.
    Use
You must assign a status to every object and infotype record you create. However, you do not need to use all the statuses. Many users choose only to use active status.
How you apply status to objects and infotype records in Organizational Management, depends on the method you use to maintain an organizational plan u2013 Detail Maintenance, Simple Maintenance, or Structural Graphics.
    Status attributes:
    Active
Indicates that an object is currently operable. You have unrestricted activities u2013 you can create, change, display, delimit, delete and list when using active objects.
    Planned
Indicates that an object is proposed or anticipated, but not currently operable. You can create, change, display, delimit, delete and list when using planned objects.
    Submitted
Indicates that an object has been submitted for review and subsequent approval/rejection. You cannot create objects with submitted status. Nor can you make changes.
    Approved
Indicates that an object, previously sumitted for review, is accepted or authorized. By changing the status to active, you can edit the object (create, change, display, delimit, delete and list).
    Rejected
Indicates that an object is rejected or turned down. You can only display objects with rejected status. However, you can change the status to planned so that you can work with the object again.
There are two ways you can change the status applied to objects and infotype records, in Organizational Plan:
Run the report RHAKTI00 (Change Object Status) for selected objects or infotype records
Change the status of objects and infotype records one at a time in Detail Maintenance
It is not possible to change the status of objects or infotype records in Structural Graphics or Simple Maintenance.

  • Sales Order (Returns)  for Approval / Reject

    Hi,
I have a Sales Order of Credit Only Order type.
    Existing Custom Workflow
When the Customer Service creates Sales Order of Order Type Credit Only, it will got to AR dept for Approval/Reject.
If the AR dept rejects, then a Notification will flow to Customer Service with Rejection comments.
    Required Logic
Once Customer Updates and saves Sales Order, Customer Service should have an option to send SO back to Approval to AR dept.
Could any one give me the logic.
    Thanks

Thanks for your quick response Ajay.
I am aware that I can move it to unrestricted stock but I would lose my link to the RMA sales order. Correct?
We currently are not using split valuation.
    Any other suggestions?

  • Does SharePoint allow to Approve/Reject non-pending items

I am confused on the behaviour SharePoint is handling content approval, as sometimes it will hide the Approve/Reject links if the item status is not pending. While on some senarios it will allow to Approve/Reject items regardless of their statuses. Let
for example examine these two senarions.
I have a document library and I set “Require content approval for submitted item” under its versioning settings.
Now when users access the page , the “Approve/Reject” links will be disabled unless the page status is pending. For example this is an approved page and the “Apprve/Reject” links are disabled:-
However this is not always true, because if I access the same page but from this location “Site content>>Library”, select the page, from the drop-down menu there will be “Approve/Reject” link for the same page:-
So this means that there is inconsistency behavior inside SharePoint , as for the same item it will disabled “Approve/Reject” link while on other places it will enable them (as shown above),, so can anyone advice on this please , and if there is a reason
    behind this ?

    Hi John,
I tested the same scenario per your post, and I got the same results as you got.
It seems that this issue occurs with  lists and wiki pages libraries.
We will help to submit the issue to proper pipeline for you.
Again, thank you for your report which will definitely make SharePoint a better products. There might be some time delay.
    Appreciate your time and patience.
As a workaround, you can code to achieve what you want which is not an easy way.
You can use client object model to get the current selected items and check the _ModerationStatus of the items.
If the _ModerationStatus is equal to 0 (which means approved in SharePoint) or 1(which means rejected in SharePoint), then disable the Approve/Reject button.
In the meanwhile, you need to monitor the ribbon if the Files has been opened.
