Time Constraint Type T for IT0380

Currently we have the Time Constraint on IT0380 set to 3, but that results in Infotypes getting created as shown below with the second Infotype with the same BEGDA  but a different subtype and different ENDDA getting SEQNR = 1.  Because of this if someone were to run the program that inserts these records again,  I assume it would create a new record with SEQNR = 2.  I only want 1 record for a given SUBTYPE to active in a period so I was looking at changing the Time Constraint to T.  The ENDDA will not be 12/31/9999 on these records.  Is this a good idea and will it accomplish what I'm trying to do?

Hello Sir,
Of course you can, but this configuration needs to be consistent. How so?
On V_T582A, you configure the Infotype for Type T as you mentioned.
Then, on V_T591A you configure how you want the constraints on the subtypes for this particular IT 0380.
This is possible indeed.

  • Time constraint not found for A1001 B007

    Hi all,
I have created a role and assigned users to the role and created a workcenter in Po01. While assigning the workcenter to the role, its giving a error "Time constraint not found for A1001 B007". I have checked the start date of workcenter is greater than the start date of the role. Please let me know, any config. needs to be done.

    Hi!
Check in table T777Z in SM30 or SM31, you will see the time constraint for B007 has not maintained
Simply add new entry and fix it. Then you can get rid of this error!

  • Time constraint T possible for IT0022?

    Hi
We need to make sure one of our school types (SLART) has time constraint 2.  I see that field SLART is also saved in field SUBTY.  But when I check the table T582A, I see that the subtype table for IT0022 is T517T.  This does not contain a possibility for time constraint.  So my question is:  Can a school type have a time constraint, or do we need a badi for this?
    Thanks in advance.
    Kirsten

    Hi,
The answer lies in table T777D, field ZBTAB for infotype 0022. SAP has delivered this table without any subtype table for IT22. The F1 help on the field is:
Time Constraint Table When TC is Subtype-Dependent
    Use
This field contains the name of the time constraint table if the time constraint is dependent on the subtype.
    Note
You may not edit this table manually. You must use one of the following transactions to maintain infotypes and their components:
o     PPCI  (Personnel Planning Infotype Copier)
o     PM01  (Personnel Administration Infotype Copier)
    Hope this helps.

  • Time constraints for IT0377

    Hello All,
For the Benefits IT, 0377, we are using a benefit area 08 and subtype 0001.
For this Benefit Area and Subtype, we have configured several Benefit Plans such as BUPA, CYCL, TRVL etc.
We want to set the time constraint such that for an employee, multiple benefit plans for the same period can exist (Time Constraint 3), but at the same time, there should be no overlapping record for the same benefit plan.
for Ex, a BUPA can exist from 01.01.2007 - 01.01.2008 and
    a CYCL could exist from 01.01.2007 - 01.01.2008 <i><b>but</b></i>
another BUPA with 15.01.2007 - 15.09.2007 should not be allowed. In this case the earlier BUPA should be delimited.
If I use time constraint 1 or 2  I cannot create multiple benefit plans, as all previous records with the same time range are deleted.
How can I configure the Infotype such that the above requirement can be fulfilled?
    Thank You,
    Vaishali

    Hi..
I don't think it can be done, as this as time constraint depends on the startdate and enddate, and it has no connection with the Benifit Plan .

  • No Time constraint for S 1001

    Dear Team,
When I am trying to create a relationship to Position (S) or (C) Job, receiving a message as "There is no time constraint for S 1001". Unable to locate the exact error location in the customization.
Could anyone know how to solve this. Not maintained any new objects or relationships.
    Thanks and Regards
    Team Member.

    Hi,
Should have been standard for Position (S) and Job (C), but check table V_T777ZIT for IT1001 that the time constraint entry exists for the exact relationship you are trying to create.  If it does not exist, you will have to create the time constraint for that object and relationship.
IMG:  Personnel Management --> Organizational Management --> Basic Settings --> Data Model Enhancement --> Maintain Infotypes.  Select IT1001 and click on the folder on the left for Time Constraint.   Only one relationship at a time (Position described by one Job) - time constraint = 2.  More than one relationship at a time (Job describes many Positions) - time constraint = 3.

  • Change Time Constraint for Personal Data InfoType

    Hi,
How to change the Time Constraint for Personal Data InfoType.
I tried to do it in Customisation Procedure --> Infotypes, but the option to change Time Constraint is disabled for Infotype 0002.
    Thanks

    Hi,
you can change time constraints in general attributes of infotype attributes, this can be done through table maintenace view V_T582A.
But note that we cannot change the time contraints for mandatory infotyepe of personnel in an organization i.e -0000,0001,0002.
ex:- without personal details like names no personnel will exist in an organization.

  • Time Constraint Class

What is the number (0 to 7) stands for time constraint class in absence for the screen number 2001. I have a leave type CL (causual leave). What time constraint class shall i assign to it.
    Regards,
    Chinmay

for ur info alreadt raghu has given the answer any way check this tooo
A: Only one record may ever exist for the infotype (from 01/01/1800 - to 31/12/9999). Infotypes with time constraint A may not be deleted.
B: Only one record may ever exist for the infotype (from 01/01/1800 - to 31/12/9999). Infotypes with time constraint B may be deleted.
T: Time constraint varies depending on subtype.
Z : Refers to time management infotypes.Time constraint for these ITs depend on time constraint class in table V_T554S_I. Collision checks : V_T554Y
    Apart from 1, 2, 3 there are some other types of Time Constraints: A, B, T, Z.
The Infotypes with TC type A must exist, must have only one record in its lifetime, and these ITs cannot be deleted.
    Example: IT0003 (Payroll Status)
The Infotypes with TC type B must have only one record in its lifetime.
    Example: IT0031 (Reference Personnel numbers)
The Infotypes with TC type T will have subtypes, and the TC is based on the subtype.
    Example: IT0009 (Bank Details)
The Time Mnagegement Infotypes will have TC type Z .
    Example: IT2001 (Absences)
rule that determines whether collisions in time data are allowed, and if so, specifies how the system reacts to such collisions.
    Time contraints comprise the following:
Time constraint classes that determine which collisions in time data records are allowed
Time constraint table that contains the time-based collisions allowed in the time data records
Time constraint indicator that displays whether a new data record that collides with an existing time data record can be transferred to the system or whether the transfer is prohibited
When you update an infotype, old data is not lost but archived for historical evaluation. The system records a specific period of validity for each infotype, This enables the system to store more than one infotype record at the same time, even if their validity periods overlap. This means that the time relationships between infotype records must be defined. The concept of time constraints enables you to do this.
HR master data uses the following three time constraints:
    Time Constraint 1
For the entire time that the employee works at the enterprise, exactly one valid infotype record must exist. The validity periods of the individual records must not overlap. If a new record is created, the system automatically uses the start date of the new record as the delimitation date of the old record. Gaps are only allowed between the employeeu2019s entry date and the start date of the first record.
Time constraint 1 must be used for all of the infotypes containing information that must be available at all times. This is particularly true of personal and organizational assignment data.
If a record is delimited because of time constraint 1, the system displays an appropriate message.
    Time Constraint 2
No more than one valid record can exist at any one time. Records with constraint 2 must not overlap. Their existence is not obligatory. If a new record is created, the system automatically delimits the previous record, if one exists.
If a record is delimited because of time constraint 2, the system displays an appropriate message.
    Time Constraint 3
Any number of valid records can exist at any one time. The individual records do not conflict with each other.
    Time Constraints:
When an info type is updated, the old data is not lost. Instead, it remains in the system so that you can perform historical evaluations. Each info type is stored with a specific validity period. This means that the system can contain more than one record of the same info type at the sometime, even if their validity periods coincide.
If you enter and save new information in an info type, the system checks whether the record already exists for this info type. If this is the case, the system reacts based on rules or TIME CONSTRAINTS set up for that particular info type or subtype.
Time Constraint 1: This is mandatory information that must be uniquely available, gaps are not allowed
Time Constraint 2: This is optional information that, if available, must be unique, gaps allowed.
Time Constraint 3: This is optional information that, if available, can exist more than once.

  • Time constraint maintainance error

hi, when I am trying to update the infotype 1002, after maintaining the relation between Position and Org Unit through RH_Relation_Maintain I am getting an error ' time constraint not found for S 1002 A003'.  I do not have the previliges to maintain new entries in T777Z either.
any suggestions on how can I handle this would be helpful.

    Hi,
Well, are you trying to do a batch input on infotype 0000? If yes you need to check that the proposed values respects the time constraint, meaning no gap, no overlaps and no inversions. Also fields SUBTY, OBJPS, SPRPS and SEQNR must remain initial when processing IT0000...

  • Infotype 0185 Personal IDs and time constraint

    Hi people,
Can you help me... is it possible to set different time constraint for different subtypes in infotype 0185 Personal ID's and where?
    Thank you,
    Romano

    Hi guys,
thank you for your asnwer, I can see that in table V_T582A we can change time constraint for the whole infotype, but unfortunatelly I can't set different time constraint for different subtype in infotype 0185.
I want to manage that for subtype 01 i have time constraint 2 and for subtype 02 time constraint 03.
It is possible for example for infotype adress (0006) but i don't see where is it possible for infotype 0185.
    Thank you.

  • Time constraint classes and  screen number for absence type

    Hi all,
What should be the Time constraint classes and  screen number for absence type.
The different absence types are annual leave, sick leave , study leave , personal leave, maternity leave , juryduty leave nad leave without pay etc
    Kindly help.
    Regards,

The time constaint class depends on the client requirement.
eg.if they want that a error needs to be generated while overlapping absences or warning message is required.
For screen number you will have to see if the is quota based deduction or just an absence.  Here is the documentation of screen number from SAP
In the standard system, the following numbers are allocated to the screens:
    1. 2000 - General absence
This screen is used for all absences which do not require special processing (such as paid leave of absence for getting married).
    2. 2001 - Quota deduction
This screen is used for entering data on leave or time in lieu of overtime.
    3. 2002 - Work incapacity
Use this screen for all absence types where continued pay should be taken into account automatically by the system.
    4. Special screens have been developed for the following absence types:
2003 - maternity protection, parental leave
    2004 - military and non-military service
    2005 - work incapacity (Netherlands)
Please go through the documentation of the configuration.

  • Time Constraint for Boundary Events

    Hi experts.
I am pretty new to BPM (NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.1 SP04 BPM SP05) and I am just making a test process to try to get the time constraint concept right. So far I have three tasks in my process, very much like a textbook example. In my first task I have an input field in which you're supposed to type in your name, which is then saved to the context and triggers the second task when completed. That second task is nothing but a screen displaying "You successfully generated a second task, (with the name you entered in the first task here)."
That works fine so far. Then there's the third task, which is linked to a boundary event on the second event with a start deadline which is critical exception. Here's the idea... You complete the first task (name input), then you fail to start the second task within a certain amount of time defined by an expression, so the process should go to the third task because of the deadline. By the way, it works fine when using a default time, so I must be doing something right so far, the problem is when trying to dynamically change the time with the expression.
What I tried was to define a context attribute type time and date (I tried both) and assigning a time (current time plus whatever amount of minutes) to that attribute via Java coding at the time you click on the button which completes the task, then use that context element in the expression, but that didn't work. I also tried to make that context attribute an integer and set it to whatever amount of minutes I want to use for the deadline, then in the expression get the current time and add that afore mentioned integer to its minutes. That didn't work either.
Please help, I have seriously done some research, and no success yet.

  • Time constraints for infotype 0185

    Hi experts,
    Need your suggestions,
Is it possible to change the Time constraints for infotype 0185. What will be the impact if i change from 2 to 3 time constraints. Please explain...
    Shiv.

    hi,
what i meant was standard time constraints should not be changed unless there is no other option.
changing the time constraint is a quick fix solution.
these standard time constraints are set after a lot of thought.
like he referred 185  which is personnel ids.
here you can see that it has sub types each sub type can have one record.
you cannt have two passports .
you cannot have two pan numbers etc.
lets us sasy the end user enters some data wrongly and then he realises and creates another record for the same with out deleting the old one.
    the system will take it.
but as you can see the data is already duplicated and it gives errors if some work flow or some other functionality is written basing on that input.

  • Time Constraints for objects and relationships

    Hi,
How to set up time constraints for objects and relationships under Org Management?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
If you need time constraint for subtype A002 then you have to define it over here.
Usually for all standard objects this table gets populated by SAP. But in case you want something which is not there in this table and is as per the client requirement, you can create.

  • Time constraint in 0008 infotype - any report for this siituation?

    Hi,
I need some help to solution a big problem with time constraint and 0008 infotype.
    Resume:
when I put the "2" time constraint, all the history of 0008 entries are changed...
    For exemple:
    Old (before "2" time constraint):
    0 - 01.11.2007 - 31.12.9999 - 1000,00
    0 - 01.10.2007 - 31.10.2007 - 900,00
    NEW (after "2" time constraint):
    0 - 01.11.2007 - 31.12.9999 - 1000,00
    0 - 01.10.2007 - 01.10.2007 - 900,00
    BR - 01.10.2007 - 01.10.2007 - 900,00
    OR
    0 - 01.11.2007 - 31.12.9999 - 1000,00
    BR - 01.10.2005 - 01.10.2005 - 900,00
there aren't logical situation, all the records have a lot of errors...
Are there any report that corrects this situation????
    Regards!!!!
    Sandra

    Daniel,
thanks for your response, and here's some more info:
    - I've use the time contraint in multiple playlists, that have worked just fine before adding the time constraint;
    - initially, after adding a time constraint (usually something like "time" "is less than" "10:00") everything seemed fine;
    - only a few days later I noticed that my playlist hadn't been updated correctly. For example, one of my playlists consists of songs rated 4 and I limit to 50 songs by least recently played; with over 900 songs rated 4, after a song was played it should disappear from that playlist for a while but some songs didn't; also, sometimes I would see less than 50 songs in that playlist;
    - after removing the time constraint the playlist updated correctly again
I know that the fact this only appears after a few days (or that I've only noticed it a few days later) makes it pretty tough to narrow down but that's all I've got so far.
    Thanks again,
    Heiko.
