Time Schedules and Schedule infotype in T&EM

I will define Time Schedules, Day Segments and Day Schedules in T&EM. When I create a Business Event Type, I specify whether it is with pattern, without pattern or user defined in "Main Schedule Model" infotype.
I will again give the days and timings in the "Schedule" infotype when I create the Business Event.
Out of these two, which timings does the system take into consideration? Can somebody clearly explain?
Points assured!
Thanks,
Nivedita.

Hi
Assigning of work schedule can be done either at business event type or business event.
Even if you assign a certain 'WS' at business event type level, still it can be editable at business event.

  • Use of Dowload Scheduler  , and Formatted  Reporting

    Hi friends,
in  our Business Explorer  i can able to see  lot of  tools..along with Analyser and  Query Designer .. those are.. <b>Download Sceduler </b> and <b>Foramtted  Reporting</b>... and <b>Browser</b> ..
can  any one   plz give me the brief idea.. abt those tools...
    helpful answers  will be rewarded....
    THANKS
    Babu

    HI,
<b>Download scheduler</b> can be used to download a package - create a package for precalculation in the reporting agent and then open the same using the download scheduler and schedule the same...
    procedure:
    1. create a web template
    2. In report agent -Do setting for the web template
    3. schedule the setting in the package.
    4. the setting was for
    data calculation
    Excel sheets
    HTML pages
Then check the preview, you will get data in it.
    5. run the package
    6. use download scheduler to create HTML pages and Excel workbooks
BTW - download scheduler is taken away in NW2004s
<b>Formatted reporting</b> is for producing a report in an exact format required by the user. For stringent formatting requirements (e.g., financial reports, government reporting, etc.), this usually implies the use of a reporting tool like Crystal Reports.
<b> Bex Browser</b> makes it possible for you to access all document types of the Business Information Warehouse that are assigned to your role, or that you have stored in your favorites. In the BEx Browser, you can select and open the documents assigned to you, or store and manage new documents.
The document types which you can work with in the BEx Browser are:
    BW workbooks
Documents stored in the Business Document Served (BDS)
Links (references to the file system, shortcuts)
    Links to Internet pages (URLs)
    SAP transaction calls.
    BW Web reports
    Hope this helps!!

  • Time constraint in 0008 infotype - any report for this siituation?

    Hi,
I need some help to solution a big problem with time constraint and 0008 infotype.
    Resume:
when I put the "2" time constraint, all the history of 0008 entries are changed...
    For exemple:
    Old (before "2" time constraint):
    0 - 01.11.2007 - 31.12.9999 - 1000,00
    0 - 01.10.2007 - 31.10.2007 - 900,00
    NEW (after "2" time constraint):
    0 - 01.11.2007 - 31.12.9999 - 1000,00
    0 - 01.10.2007 - 01.10.2007 - 900,00
    BR - 01.10.2007 - 01.10.2007 - 900,00
    OR
    0 - 01.11.2007 - 31.12.9999 - 1000,00
    BR - 01.10.2005 - 01.10.2005 - 900,00
there aren't logical situation, all the records have a lot of errors...
Are there any report that corrects this situation????
    Regards!!!!
    Sandra

    Daniel,
thanks for your response, and here's some more info:
    - I've use the time contraint in multiple playlists, that have worked just fine before adding the time constraint;
    - initially, after adding a time constraint (usually something like "time" "is less than" "10:00") everything seemed fine;
    - only a few days later I noticed that my playlist hadn't been updated correctly. For example, one of my playlists consists of songs rated 4 and I limit to 50 songs by least recently played; with over 900 songs rated 4, after a song was played it should disappear from that playlist for a while but some songs didn't; also, sometimes I would see less than 50 songs in that playlist;
    - after removing the time constraint the playlist updated correctly again
I know that the fact this only appears after a few days (or that I've only noticed it a few days later) makes it pretty tough to narrow down but that's all I've got so far.
    Thanks again,
    Heiko.

  • IdM Scheduler and Time Change to Daylight Savings Time GMT to BST

This isn't really a 'question' , but just a topic for discussion.
We're not live yet, but will be by the time the clocks go back. So I'm just interest to hear everyone's experiences and any issues with regards to the switching to / from DST
I did some "interesting" (or not) tests last night to see what happens with Pending Values which are due to take effect at the time change threshold of 01:00 GMT when switching to Daylight Savings Time (BST) GMT +0100.
It seems as if the IdM scheduler keeps going according to UTC or GMT. However any values provisioned to target systems or to local tables using the ddm.datetime8601 system variable are in local time according to the runtime server or SQL server's locale settings.
I set up a task to output from a javascript the current system date
using the following in the functions.
    currentTime = new Date();
return currentTime.toString(); // returns Locale Time String
    currentTime = new Date();
return currentTime.toUTCString(); // returns UTC Time String
in the same pass I also output the ddm.datetime8601 system parameter and the ddm.time24 system parameter.
This task was to update a comment on an entry and Scheduled to run at 00:00:00 and was executed at 00:00:06 GMT all times were still in GMT as expected.
    Local Time: Sun Mar 27 00:00:06 GMT-0000 (GMT) 2011, UTC Time: Sun, 27 Mar 2011 00:00:06 GMT, ddm.datetime8601: 2011-03-27T00:00:06, ddm.time24: 00:00:06
This task was scheduled at 01:00:00 in IdM and was exectued at 01:00:08 GMT by the runtime, and you can see the local time is being correctly reported as 02:00:08 BST. Note also the ddmdatetime8061 is also 02:00:08 i.e. BST.
    Local Time: Sun Mar 27 02:00:08 GMT+0100 (BST) 2011, UTC Time: Sun, 27 Mar 2011 01:00:08 GMT, ddm.datetime8601: 2011-03-27T02:00:08, ddm.time24: 02:00:08
In the database the entry values MXI_VALUES ModifyTime field has the GMT / UTC timestamp.
I also set up some pending value objects to be applied at 00:59:59 and 01:30:00 to see if the 01:30:00 would be 'skipped' as the locl clock change would've gone from 00:59:59 to 02:00:00. Well the pending values were correctly applied and expired and no 'lost' transactions happened as a result of the change.
So essentially it seems to me that the IdM runtime and scheduler times are all based on UTC / GMT.
I guess it's only an issue twice a year if you're expecting something to happen at a specific local time 01:00:00 or if you've got a global user base and their account expiry should be in each user's own country's local time. In these cases, it would seem that you'd need to convert the schedule times and pending value times to UTC first before setting them in the database.
Has anyone else had any issues, thoughts, questions or suggestioins on scheduling tasks which span the DST time change when switching to and from Daylight Savings Time.

  • Basic and scheduling  dates & time calculation in process order creation

    Hi guru's,
i have one requirement, i need to calculate and display the basic and scheduled dates & times based on the given input i.e material , plant , process order type , quantity , UOM and scheduling type ( for corresponding scheduling type user will provide either start date or finish date ) using RFC. can  u plz provide any function module for this purpose or logic for calculating the same  , as i am working on version 4.7ee .
    Awaiting for a quick response.
    Regards,
    Madan

    Dear Rohan,
1.Check the length of break timings defined in the resource that is assigned in the phase.
2.Check in OPUZ whether for the process order type and plant combination whether scheduling is to include the break time also
(whether the check box for scheduling with breaks) is included.
    Check and revert back.

  • Scheduler and Report Time Conflict

    Hello,
We have scheduled some Jobs such as monthly, semi-annually reports using dbms_scheduler. we use 10gR2 software and windows 2003 server. we have a report which supposed to run at 4:00 AM and as soon as the report finishes it sends the report as email to the authorized users. when the scheduler ran the report inside the report it shows as ran at 3:08 AM where they get systimestamp. but when i query the

    last_start_time next_run_date
    03-DEC-12 04.00.00..223000 AM -04:00 07-JAN-13 04.00.00..200000 AM -04:00
when I query systimestamp from dual on that database from sqlplus:
    i get the following:
    systimestamp
    04-DEC-12 07.40.16..152000 AM -05:00
I see the difference of -04.00 and -05.00 from both of the queries. i know the systimestamp from dual is correct. how to I fix the scheduler Job to run at the correct time with daylight savings to take effect?
    Help is much appreciated.
    Thank you.

Thank you.More appropriate for the Scheduler forum (Scheduler but I can tell you that if the job schedule is specified with a time zone expressed as a GMT offset (as yours are) then it is NOT "dst aware". Also comes into play if you are using a pl/sql function vs. the scheduler calendaring expressions for REPEAT_INTERVAL.
I'd suggest you close this msg and start again in the proper forum. You'll get better and more focused help there.

  • DIFFERENCES between BASIC SCHEDULING and LEAD-TIME SCHEDULING.

    Hello SAP Gurus,
Kindly let me know the differences between BASIC SCHEDULING and LEAD-TIME SCHEDULING.
    Looking for your early feedback.
    Warm regards,
    Kaushik.

    Hi,
    Basic scheduling :
    1.Basic dates are calculated.
    2.Exact to day.
    3.No cap reqmts are generated.
4.uses the inhouse production time from material master.
5.carried out automatically during planning run.
In basic date calculation ( order start date/ order finish date ) the system always
    calculates backward scheduling.
    1. From the reqmts date the system subtracts the GR processing time to
    calculate the order fininsh date.
    2. From the order finish date the system subtracts the inhouse production time to calculate the order start date.
    3. From the order start date the system subtracts the opening period given in scheduling margin key to calculate the order opening date.
    Lead time scheduling :
    1.Exact to second
2.ie production start date /time and finish date and time are calculated.
    3. cap reqmts are generated.
    4. uses times from routing.
    5. carried out only if the scheduling mode in MD02 screen is kept with indicator 2.
From the order finish date the system subtracts the float after production to calculate the production finish date.
From the production finish date the individual operations in the routing are scheduled backwards to calculate production start date.
From the production start date the system subtracts the float before production
    to calculate order start date.

Their group has now requested that on certain holidays (thanksgiving, labor day, etc), all numbers be forwarded to Office 2 and another set of holidays (memorial day, presidents day, etc) forward to Office 3. I've looked at Unity holiday schedules and read over some options and it seems like I would have to get rid of the time period/schedules that I have set up in CUCM and set up a call handler with schedules and holiday schedules. How complex will this be? Can this even be done with the way they want it?

  • How configure Work schedule rule in infotype 0007

    Dear ,
I have a question that how configure Work schedule rule in infotype 0007.
I am trying but missing some steps .. so kindly give me proper steps to create this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Manas

    Sanchit,
When I created a new personnel area, I had to maintain all of the following nodes under Personnel Time Management:
    - Group Personnel Subareas for the Work Schedule
    - Define Groupings for the Public Holiday Calendar
    - Group Personnel Subareas for Attendance and Absences
    - Group Personnel Subareas for Availability Types
    - Group Personnel Subareas for Time Quotas
    - Set Personnel Subarea Groupings for Time Recording
Double-Check each of these and make sure you got everything.

  • Time Management - Work Schedule /Absence Quota / Part-time quota generation

    Hi Experts,
    Need your help!
We have a requirement where we need to create distinct work schedules for each irregular / part-time work pattern and the number of work patterns we have identified is more than 1000.  We are using report RPTQTA00 to generate quota. We have used work contract, employee sub-group & employee payscale group in the QUOMO feature to get the base entitlement picked up. We have defined base entitlement for the full time workschedules with 37.0 / 38.5 hours and there is a reduction rule which reduce the absence entitlement for part time employees as per the employement percentage in IT0007. Now we have a scenario where we have created a work schedule with different no of hours for each day of week (M-4, T-6, W-4, TH-6, F-4, S-OFF, SU - OFF); this work schedule is treated as full time work pattern by the system and quota is generated as full time work schedule refering to the QUOMO settings, but as per my client employees with this work schedule have reduced hours of working hours (24 hours, not 37.0 or 38.5 hours)and hence it should be treated as part-time employees, and the quota generated should be proportionately reduced. I have very limited scope to create any ESG or PSG as we do not have any distinct emplyee sub-groups maintained for full-time and part-time employees and the project has already gone-live with payroll/time. It is worth mentioning over here that we are recording absence through ESS and it takes into account the daily planned working time maintained in IT0007, so we are very particular to keep it as accurate as possible.
I would really appreciate if somebody can please suggest any possible solution for the above issue, or guide me on what would be the best way to tackle it. I can give more details in case anybody need to have a better understanding of the issue to suggest a solution.
    Thanks in advance
    Sujit

    Hi Kathy,
Yes, i have found the solution to it. I do not know whether it will fit into your situation or not, but i got two solutions for my issue mentioned above, please check it may help:
    1) To use capacity utilization field in IT0008 to get the FTE hours and defining the reduction rule of absence quota based on the capacity utilazation percentage.
    2) There are three user exits available in the standard report RPTQTA00, i have used one of them to write my own rules for the calculations (deduction rule)
Do let me know if i can help you in any respect. Thanks.
    Regards,
    Sujit

  • Scheduling agreement Fcst del schedules and JIT question

We have a requirement of not sending forecast delivery schedules TOR to MRP from SA.
Instead, we take this forecast delivery schedules and massage the data (add or delete) and then send it to MRP as regular forecast (PIR).
so when the JIT schedules come, does the forecast get consumed with the JIT's in MD04?
lets say, I got 100 pc for 2nd week of July 2011 as forecast delivery schedule from customer and I loaded them into MRP as PIR
and I got JIT for only 90 PC for the 2nd week of july 2011.in MD04 will the 90 get consumed from the PIR??

    925,
so in system it will show on 3/21 monday
I guess this means that you are entering using a Day format rather than Week format.
You have answered you own question already.  If the online SAP help, which you have read and reasonably paraphrased, is not clear enough to make you understand this, I cannot help you.
JIT horizon is 3/23, Forecast is for 3/21.
As I stated before, even though it may in your mind represent a week's demand, it is still for one day.  There is no bucketing, nor time-based disaggregation, nor consumption.  It is just a scheduling agreement.
    You wrote
am using MRP indicator D. that means within jit horizon, consider my jit quanity for requirements. and after jit horizon consider my forecast delivery schedules as requirements.
.  This is a reasonable paraphrase of the SAP online help.  Do you believe this?
Forecast schedule is for 3/21.  NOT for W 12/2011.  This is before the JIT horizon, isn't it?  What do you think will happen to the forecast schedule, looking at the last 'rules' you just wrote? and as stated in the SAP help that you read?
Now you want to enter JIT schedules. 21/22/23/24/25/26.  JIT horizon is 23.  24/25/26 are after JIT horizon.  What do you think will happen, based on the 'rules' you just wrote?
I feel my time is being wasted when you keep asking me these questions, already having the answers explicitly stated in SAP oinline help.  Since you do not have access to a system, this cannot be a support issue, it is a evidently a matter of idle curiosity for you.  I therefore believe I will will move onto other forum questions, where there is a possibility that the questioners will get some business benefit from my answers.

  • Forecast delivery schedules and JIT deliveries

    Hi Gurus,
Got a question on sales scheduling agreements schedule lines. Our customer sends 10 weeks of forecast delivery schedules and 2 weeks of JIT deliveries. which one of these two are passed to MD04?
Assuming only forecast delivery schedules are seen in MD04:
Assuming customer sends forecast delivery schedule for week2 as 50. but in JIT deliveries he only sent 40 for that week. if only forecast deliveries are see in md04, then my forecast and planning quantity is 50 , but actually my JIT delivery is only 40.  AM I  producing 10 extra? that  means my planning is wrong?

I feel my time is being wasted when you keep asking me these questions, already having the answers explicitly stated in SAP oinline help.  Since you do not have access to a system, this cannot be a support issue, it is a evidently a matter of idle curiosity for you.  I therefore believe I will will move onto other forum questions, where there is a possibility that the questioners will get some business benefit from my answers.
    Best Regards,
