Time stamps on reporting & charts

Is there a way to get the reports and charts on the WAAS CM to use something other than GMT?

Found it .. When we changed the time zone under the Date / Time all appears to be better.

Time stamps in reports and status are 7hrs off, is there a regional setting to correct this?
When I run e-load all reports and any other time stamps are 7 hours off. (If I run a test at 9:20am pacific time the e-load shows 4:20pm). The e-test scripts show the correct time if I run those via e-test.
Is there a setting for this?

Actually, this is a known issue on Vista.
You need to edit the follwoing file to specify your timezone;
\Empirix\EmpAppServer\bin\JbossService.conf
Please refer to Known Problems section of e-TEST suite Release Notes for more details.

Time stamp on Waveform Charts

I'm making an application where I sample data every 5 seconds. I use the Time Delay VI to obtain the sampling interval, and then set the chart options using chart properties/format and precision/relative time. The chart is adding a point every 5 secs as it should, scale looks ok. However, the time scale on the graph is incrementing only one second at the time (although actual time elapsed is 5 secs). The log file gives the time stamps just as it should. Is there a way to make the waveform chart give the real time (other than the obvious solution of sampling 1 pt/sec)?

I'm just directly passing scalar values to the chart. The total acquisition time is about an hour, and the idea is to display data as they vary with time.

I have been waiting since 10am waiting for data to be available. Unfortunately, the Sun MC has not updated the time stamp. I am unable to create graphs for the machines I setup this morning? Any ideas on how to post data faster than waiting forever for Sun MC server?

Hi,
Clearly a bug. You can try changing your Tools|Preferences|Database|NLS|Timestamp Format to match the Date Format as a workaround. Otherwise why not upgrade to the lastest production SQL Developer release (3.1.07.42)? The bug does not occur there.

Time stamp a report name

For a title of a report under regions
I am trying to put a time of 2 months ago using report_name &P3_TODAY - 60.
But I am having trouble using *&P3_TODAY.* which is not working.
Is there a way of doing this?

There are a few things you've misread - though I probably could have written my answer better!
I have just tried this out myself on a test app and it works if I do the following:
1 - Create a Hidden and Protected field called P136_DATE in my report region
2 - Create a SQL Query computation for the page item P136_DATE to be run only when P136_DATE is null, and using the following SQL statement:
SELECT TO_CHAR(TRUNC(SYSDATE) - 60, 'DD/MM/YYYY') FROM DUAL3 - Set my report's title to:
Report title - &P136_DATE.Running the page, shows a report title of: Report title - 28/07/2008

Time stamps in reports are different than what is on the record

We have some users in the UK who have their time setting set to GMT. On our SR form, we have a few date/time fields. The data on the form is correct.. When they run a report with these fields, the time is adjusted by 8 hours, or PST, which is the time zone in our company profile.
How can we make sure the reports show the correct time based on the users time zone?

Did you get an answer re this David? Currently a client is having the same issue, trying to run an end of month report with some records entered on the last day of the month not being captured due to this time difference.

Bug report: With the new compact design, go to recent pivot, tap on a conversation, press back button to go back to recent, notice the time stamps to the right of the list have moved even more right, with text being cut off the screen.

Actually it's not as likely to be seen here since there are so many posts for any Apple rep to have to scan. The best way to report an issue to Apple is through the feedback pages or, if you're a member of Apple's developer program, through the bug reporter.

How do I add a time stamp to the moving "Major Grid Lines" of a Waveform Chart?

I am using LV 8.5.1
I am using a Waveform Chart and I have turned on the "Major Grid LInes" using the properties tab of my waveform chart. (properties-->scale->grid lines)
When the code executes, I want to attach a time stamp to each moving yellow grid line.
So as the grid lines move from right to left, there is an associated time stamp for each.
Can someone help!

If you right click on your graph and go to X Scale >> Style >> and then choose one of the 3 styles on the far left you shoul see timestamps for those grid lines.

Time stamp and skip test report

Hello, all
I am new to teststand and just beginning to do some work with teststand.
My interest is to report every step with data begin with a time stamp.
I create subtest in the Numeric type property to report timestamp in the form of YYYY-MM-DD-HH-mm-ss
These substep are pre-step and post-step and in pre-step I get timestamp at the beginning and
post step I get a timestamp at the ens of the step.
Thing workout pretty well until I report a skip test.
A skip step does not run so a pre-step and post-step report a time stamp as 00000000000000.
how can I over come this problem since i want the skip test report as exact the same with "Normal Step"
is there any way to have a f(x) at the beginning and the end of the step type, and theses f(x) of course
should be execute even that step is skipped

For me that is important and for many thing I do the step carried out take a longtime than normal, especial if you test with around 20 socket and more.
I am surprised that a step type does not have some thing reserved for Pre-execution. This can help condition further a costumed step.
The only way I can poke in there may be using "precondition" to put my time stamp. But that mean my costumed model leaves a bunch of f(x) in there and look ugly

Protocol -
AS2
All INBOUND to Oracle B2B AS2 messages from the WebMethods B2B have a "Send Time Stamp" = " January 1, 1970 12:00:00 AM"
However, all AS2 MDN's from the WebMethods B2B have the correct "Send Time Stamp".
And when we test between 2 Oracle B2B's in development, without using a proxy server, the "Send Time Stamp" is correct for AS2 messages and AS2 MDN's.
My question is where is the "Send Time Stamp" being set ?
Is it the trading partner, e.g. WebMethods ?
Is it a proxy server?
How can we ensure that the "Send Time Stamp" correctly reflects when the trading partner sent the AS2 message ?

Can you check your infra db timing please? Anyways sending timestamp should not be affected due to this but no harm in verifying.

Changing an export file name by using a time stamp

Hello Everyone,
I am trying to create a way, utilizing the Report Attributes/Report Export field, to have an export file created with a time stamp associated with the file name.
The reason for this is that I have users who will do multiple exports to Excel from a single parameters driven report. As opposed to manually giving the file a unique name each time the export occurs, I would like to give the export a time stamp as part of the name therefore making it unique.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found the typo mm instead of MM which was my problem from the beginning. MM represents month not mm. A simple mistake that costed a lot of time. Thanks Mike

0FI_AR_4-Delta Time Settings based on Numeric Pointer Time Stamps

Hi All,
For Numeric Pointersettings for 0FI_AR_4, I checked the table of DELTA settings, the time stamps are different and it says GMT IN BWOM2_SETTINGS.
So I am confused here whether for FI based on GMT timestamps or numeric pointer BAED on documents entered..
say user entered a DOCUMENT clearing ON mONDAY AFTERNOON, WE HAVE BATCH UPDATE on TUESDAY MIDNIGHT, WHEREAS the document not picked up on TUESDAY batch and so the document is still not cleared in OUR report whereas cleared in SAP..
whereas the same document CLEARED in wednesday midnight batch job...so it means there is a delay in picking up the document which is running every MIDNIGHT...
Does anyone clearly explain how its picking and why? hope it is not based on GMT TIMING...
Also I check another table, it has set the time limit of 2AM and whereas our TUESDAY batch runs before 2AM..whereas Wednesday batch runs after 2am, i am not sure whether it could be because of the above issue...

I checked this link..That's why raised it whether it really works based on the last part in the link based GLOBAL SETTING OF FI...
If it considers 2AM and check the same settings in my system too, it could be the reason, why my data doesn't pupulate on TUESDAY ..I AM THINKING... is my assumption right???
i am still waiting from our HQ team..will see whether that works or not..
then will let you know...
