Tips on using Mac OSX 10.7 Lion with Adobe Connect
Some folks have run into some audio issues when using Captivate and Presenter files playing in a Connect room after upgrading to Lion.
Apple decided to stop installing popular browser add-ins such as Java and Adobe Flash with Lion.
1. http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp to install Java for Mac
2. http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ to install Flash for Mac
Reboot and all should be well. Google's Chrome browser automatically includes Adobe Flash but Safari and Firefox do not so this is a necessary step.
Those that are hosting Adobe Connect on Lion Mac's will be needing a new host add-in under development. Apple has fixed the bug that was affecting the current Adobe Connect Add-in. The fix is in Apple's 10.7.2 Update coming shortly. I'm using it now and all is well again.

It says it was modified 2011, but its version 4.2 which didn't exist in 2011... right?

My adobe reader is missing mac's full screen functionality (the two arrows on right that make mac fullscreen).
so, if i have three pdfs open, i cannot switch between them using the 4 finger swipe..
Please note that this is different from the adobe functionality (command + L) which allows it to become fullscreen, but it still occupies the desktop and so, i cannot swipe between different pdfs.

It is now confirmed that iWeb, and iDVD, has been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. However, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
I found that if I published my site to a folder on my hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed were broken. If I published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. How to is described in this tutorial: #26 - How to Modify iWeb So Popup Slideshows Will Work After MobileMe is Discontinued.
It now appears that the iLife suite of applications offered on disc is now a discontinued product and the remaining supported iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on. However, the iLife 11 boxed version that is still available at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of the page) and those still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD. Those two apps were listed in small, gray text on the iLife 11 box that I bought.
Personally, if I didn't already have a copy I would purchase one to have it for reinstallation purposes if ever needed.

I have a Fuji X-Pro1 camera. I use Mac OSX Lion 10.7.5 I have Photoshop CS5. How do I open its RAW files?
Since photoshop cs5 can't use past the camera raw 6.7 plugin and that camera requires at least the camera raw 7.1 plugin, you could use the 8.7.1 dng converter
to convert the files to dng copies, which then photoshop cs5 should be able to open.

The application can't be updated due to the presence of Mac Osx 10.7.5. I updated the software of my mac to the latest update and still the application can't be updated. I'm using Mac osx lion (10.7.4)!?

Air application full screen error in Mac OSX 10.7 Lion
Hi
We have an air application built using Flash Builder 4.5 with 4.5 SDK.
The air application no problem to run on Windows and Mac OSX 10.6 Snow Leapard. However it has full screen issue on Mac OSX 10.7 Lion. When change to full screen mode, the whole screen disappear, press ESC and turn back to normal stage without any issue.
We then use Flash Builder 4.5 with SDK 4.6 to compile and release, install the air application to Lion OS but still no luck.

Can some one please help?Is this still a problem?

I do not want to ask any other way for me to use to use my monitor. I monitor LG FLATRON E2041 brand .. PLEASE Helpp ME

I'm having trouble setting up a VPN using MAC OSX 10.4.11 Server. I have and XSAN system and one of my volumes has been down for quite a while now. There is a very kind MAC IT professional that is willing to help be troubleshoot my system but he needs to be able to access my system remotely. I am able to connect the MDC to DSL but I haven't been able to set up the VPN. Please help, this is an emergency. Thanks!

Using a Mac, OSX 10.6.8; My internet connection is working properly, I can reach all sites via browser, yet I get the following message in iTunes: "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. An unkown error occurred (-54)."

iPhone has been set up to wirelessly sync when on charge yet I get this error when the iPhone is not even charging!
I work for a mobile network operator and although this isn't something we support anyway, we would usually stumble across something like this when customers call us for advice prior to contacting the manufacturer for support, yet this hasn't been a call driver so I'd imagine this is isolated... (either that or not many people have updated their device and set up the wireless sync lol)...

I have a iMac (Not under warranty) its Bluetooth is not working. Blue tooth Hardware is failed and Replacement is huge cost,I need a Bluetooth Adapter for it. I am using Mac OSX 10.9
Apple used to recommend this but now say it's not compatible.
OWC have IOGear GBU421W6 Bluetooth 2.1 USB Micro Adapter and IOGear GBU321 Bluetooth USB Adapter, & should be able to confirm whether or not they'll work for you. -
I wonder if somebody can help me. I am not able to use my internet bank anymore, since Java launched their latest update (7.51) a few days ago. Appearently this one is not compatible with my hardware. I am using Mac OSX version 10.6.8, and Java version 17.0, which seems to be the newest one for my op sys. Anybody know how I can solve this? In advance thank you!

Using Mac OSX Install Disc 1, I am not able to get any further than the Partition tab. It allows me to select my hard drive selection, but will not allow me to make any other selections such as options. Does anyone know their way around this obstacle? Am I doing anything wrong? Thanks
Hello, The Hatter, I read about the 'trick' of backing up, erasing, and restoring too, but I figured it would take longer than defragmenting the disk.
But the defragmentation process has just finished! so I'm gonna try to run Boot Camp again soon!

And P.S. I didn't clone my system onto the external drive, I just inserted the Mac OS X Install CD, rebooted holding down the "C" key, and installed a fresh Snow Leopard system onto the predetermined partition. I will use that in cases of emergency, when my main/internal system becomes unusable. -

[email protected]Certification test for OS X 10.7 Lion are not available yet. I assume they will be nearly identical to the test of 10.5 and 10.6. Hopefully, the reason the certification website has been down for a while is that they are updating it with the new information. Though I really wouldn't expect any 10.7 certification test to be available for 2-4 months. Peachpit Press didn't publish their training material for 10.6 until October even though 10.6 was released in August.
As far as the 10.6 Certifications:
Certified Support Professional, 10.6 requires the 9L0-403 exam.
Certified Technical Coordinator, 10.6 requires the 9L0-403 as well as the 9L0-510 (Server Essentials) exams.
The information for the Certified System Administrator, 10.6 is "hidden" on the integral7 website but according to this Wikipedia entry, you need to pass the 9L0-510 Server Essentials exam as well as these three:

Have cleared space, checked Window - Doctor and server has green light. Mail Activity shows 47 emails waiting to download, iPad and iPhone download them all OK - no extra big files stopping the download either. In the past, quitting mail has worked, but not today... Any suggestions?
