TM2- no pressure sensitivity in photoshop!

hi guys, i just installed photoshop cs3 , which both do not work when it comes to pressure senstivity, ive tried updating  it but still no go, please, need help!

That is the unfortnate side effect to these laptops (aside from overheating issues).
I have a HP Tx2, bought solely to draw on the screen.
Its good for writing and doodling, nothing serious (not that I am aware of).  There ARE tablet pc's with pressure sensitivity (motion computing and some Toshiba's) otherwise this laptop wasn't one of them, unfortunately.

  • How do I get pen pressure sensitivity in Photoshop CS5?

    Hi
There is no sensitivity to pressure in my Photoshop CS5. I have installed the driver for my tablet (Intuos 4), but it still doesn't work. I have also clicked the icons for both pressure and opacity in the bar at the top, but they made no difference.
I see a triangle with an exclamation point in the brushes menu by the control options. It says "Control by pen pressure requires the use of a pressure sensitive tablet," so I take this to mean that my tablet isn't supporting sensitivity.
The tablet works just fine, but the sensitivity won't. What should I do?
    Thanks

    Hi,
I figured it out! Pen Pressure is working just fine now. Here are the steps I used to fix my problem. Thanks for your help, Noel!
    Windows 7/Vista Pro Driver
-Disconnect the tablet from the computer
-Open your start menu and then the Control Panel
    -Open programs and features
-Uninstall any listing here for Tablet or Wacom Tablet and then restart the computer
-After restarting, download and install only the latest driver (6.16) from wacom website
-Once the installation is complete, and the system is stable, connect the tablet.

  • Randomly losing pressure sensitivity in photoshop?

My tablet keeps randomly losing pressure sensitivity, like this:
Every few strokes it throws in one or a few strokes without pressure sensitivity. There seems to be no pattern to this.
The weird thing is that this seems to only be happening in Photoshop - I tried Paint Tool SAI and everything seems to be working fine there.
I use a Wacom Intuos3, Photoshop CS4 and Windows XP. My tablet is five years old and quite beat up, so its entirely possible that this is my tablet's fault, although I find it hard to believe, since it's never glitched on me like this.
Things I've tried and haven't helped:
Re-installing my tablet driver, changed nothing
Changing my tablet pen's nib, nothing changed
Downloading and using the trial version of PS CS5, same problem persisted.
Has anyone had a similar problem? What can I do to fix this?

You said that you reinstalled the tablet drivers. Are they the most current ones from wacom? (didn't specify, so i am asking)
Latest video card drivers (new ones for nov, nvidia) 2 of the 6 drivers that came out in the last 6 months had problems working with PS with some systems. The oct/nov drivers worke great though.
With your speakers are on, does it sound as though the tablet is disconnecting then reconnecting?
The sound your pc would make if you remove and plug back in a usb. though there should be some lag in the brush strokes as it finds the new drivers.
Did this start after a recent update to PS? If not, i assume that your PS is updated.
Are you using more cpu/ram than normal. Open your task manager and see. Also with internet browser closed, are you using internet? It could be malware.
I am jsut wondering if a fresh install of windows would fix the problem. That is often easier then trying to find a software problem. Though like you said, it could be hardware.
Though they are most likley not the problems, it may give you an idea on where to look for the problem.

  • Portege z20t no pressure sensitivity in Photoshop CS6

Hey guys. I just bought a Portege z20t which is amazing, but I'm having one small problem. I can't get the pen to work properly in Photoshop CS6.
I downloaded the latest Wacom drivers for the pen and it only gives me erractic pressure sensitivity.
In the 64bit version of PS if I make stroke with the pen 9 times out of 10 there will be no pressure recognition but every once in a while there will be a stroke that works correctly with pressure information.
In the 32bit version there are little icons next to the pressure options indicating that pressure sensitivity is not available.
If anyone has any idea what I can do to fix the problem it will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Which Portege z20t do you have?  Please provide the full model number.  It is printed on the bottom of the computer.  Do not proved the serial number

  • Pressure sensitivity in photoshop with Sony Stylus help

I just bought a Sony Vaio Duo 11 slate computer.  It comes with a VGP-STD1 stylus where the pressure sensitivity works in Art Rage but not Photoshop.  Does Adobe not support the Sony Stylus?  It still works but no option for pressure sensitivity.  Also no pressure sensitivity in Flash.  Is there anything I can do?

Adobe supports any working stylus -- but your stylus may not implement all the APIs needed for applications like Photoshop.
Most likely you'll need to contact Sony and see if they have updated drivers for their stylus to support professional graphics applications.

  • NO pressure Sensitivity in Photoshop CS6 - Genius MousePen 8x6

    Greetings
I'm having some problems with my Graphic Tablet Genius MousePen 8x6 using photoshop CS6.
The program doesnt recognize the pressure sensitivity capabilities of the tablet. I check with the driver's tool and the pressure works correctly but inside photoshop CS6 the pressure doesn't work.
I have Installed the latest driver dated from May 2011.
I already contacted the manufacturer if there is an answer but there is no answer about it yet.
The program is up to date with the latest update patches and no effect.
    I appreciate your answer.

Well since before to write this i already contacted the manufacturer and there is no answer yet.
Lets hope the manufacturer releases a new driver version more compatible with Photoshop.
I know this because when CS4 were released i had another kind of problem with the tablet and took around 6 or 7 months until they released a driver (back in then a beta and the later stable release) than was suitable.
So far is strange than no one had problems with the tablet but me.
Anyway i'll keep an eye here.

  • Turning off "Use Windows Ink" on Wacom Tablet Properties cause no pressure sensitivity in Photoshop CC 2014.2.0 (Windows 8.1)

    Hi there,
As the title describes it's a Photoshop bug not a Wacom driver issue. Interestingly the Lightroom is working fine.
    Check this video please:
Photoshop CC 2014 bug com messas graficas - YouTube

Ok, I understand that it is necessary to use the Windows 8 Ink but then why is it works perfectly in Lightroom? It's pretty difficult drawing if I want to start a line with a slow motion and the circle comes up nearly always.
I believe that many Photoshop users use Wacom products. Why don't you talk each other guys (Adobe & Wacom) and try to find a solution even if Microsoft made your life a bit exotic?

  • Photoshop CS6 Brush pressure sensitivity not working on the Microsoft Surface Pro.

I have just purchased a Microsoft Surface Pro in anticipation of running Photoshop on it.  I installed Photoshop and tried to do some sketches.  I created a new file and started sketching.  I Immediately felt like something was wrong.  I checked my brush settings and saw the pressure sensitivity was not available.  Everytine I tried to turn it on it was marked with an exclamation point.
Does anybody know if Adobe is supporting the new pressure sensitive pen from microsoft, or if there is some sort of setting that I am missing?  I have tried sketchbook pro 2011, and that works amazingly well with the pen.  I hope someone can help me along here, because if this tablet can truely run photoshop, it would be a Game Changer.

Just curious.... has any of you tried the shape dynamics in photoshop and turning on pen pressure?
and in illustrator to modify the size to pressure and variation to maximum? (and of course select that brush preset that you just modified and draw with it using SHIFT+B for blob brush or B for regular brush)
I am also interested in purchasing a Surface pro so please report if this helps.
what I recently discovered in other forums is that Sketchbook Pro works flawlessly in desktop mode. Sketchbook Express in the APP mode doesn't support pressure yet.
there is no official confirmation that the surface pro uses a wacom digitizer, however a few artist friends of mine have gone to the microsoft store... brought their own wacom pens (cintiq 15x pen - older models that works with general tabletpcs) and the pro recognized it. which means that it is a wacom digitizer. it wouldn't make sense if a wacom pen works with a different digitizer board like N-trig.
also read in another forum about adobe using wintab and windows 8 wintab drivers are not there yet.
anyway... I'd be glad to know if this works or not
    thanks!

  • Pressure sensitivity fail in Photoshop, perfect in Illustrator

So what's up with this? I get the little orange triangle of shame telling me that I'm a dummy and should be using a pressure sensitive tablet in Photoshop, but it works perfectly in Illustrator with no problems at all. Both are CS4. Tablet is Wacom and even the cheap non-adobe programs can sense the pressure. I just downloaded and reinstalled the driver and restarted the computer. No change at all.

I finally FINALLY fixed this. Besides downloading and installing the latest driver, I found some other advice that said to use the pen while clicking the yellow triangle. I tapped the pen up and down on the tablet while clicking the mouse on the triangle. Victory.

  • Photoshop Touch on Tablets that Support Pressure Sensitivity

Does Photoshop touch support pressure sensitivity when downloaded on the Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet which has a stylus and pressure sensitivity built in?  I heard you will be supporting pressure sensitivity on the up and coming Samsung Note 10.1, but that it might be a special edition of Photoshop Touch.
This would be a massavely useful feature.

To add to what Ig said:
Go into the "Brush" option on the toolbar on the left. There should be an icon in the lower right. Tap it to set options for either size or opacity.

  • Pressure sensitivity on X230T and trouble with Photoshop

Would anyone know how many levels of pressure sensitivity there are on the X230T?
I ask this because I have just installed Photoshop CS6 and I seem to have many issues sketching.  I will be drawwing a series of light lines and then suddenly a big fat line will appear, I will continue sketching and this will happen over and over again.
I am very frustrated since I bought this specifically for Photoshop.  Does anyone know why this is happening?  I already turned off the "hold pen down to right click" feature, but I continue to have this issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Maybe this could help:
    http://www.howtomakeonline.org/EAiRjMoney7gb1yD/Lenovo-ThinkPad-X230T-Touch-And-Digitizer-Pen-Input....
In this 256 levels of pressure sensitivity are mentioned (which would make sense, because it would point to an 8bit ADC in the digitzer for pressure measurement).
If you don't trust this number (as I would do, because it is mentioned only in one occasion in the web (or google search ;-) )) then you could also check the Wacom site for their more low end products and their specs.
    Using x230t (i5-3320M, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 80GB mSata-SSD) and loving it!

  • Wacom tablet pressure sensitivity, dont work outside canvas

    Hi.
I wonder, if i'm the only one, who are having problems to start a stroke outside the canvas and follow it on the canvas, without the pressure sensitivity is all on max.
seems the same is happing, if you have marked an area and start at stroke outside that area. kinda like the brush only start recognize the pressure level when on the canvas or marking.
    does it make sense?
    running windows7 64bit intous3 A4.
tested in on my my laptop too on the intous3 A5, same problem.
    /cheers
    Heino

    Hi JJMack
    thx for your comment
    - i'm on photoshop cs5, any brush thats pressure sensitivity, did it with both docked and floating canvas.
I think i've fixed the issue.
Apprently its a problem with the newest version of the wacom driver. And somehow it only affects photoshop.
i've downloaded the march 2010 driver from wacom. And installed that. seems to be fixed.
    /cheers

  • Wacom pen pressure sensitivity with PS elements 9

I was just using the free trial with CS6 and was able to get  it to ignore the pen pressure sensitivity, so that it was the same size no matter how hard i pressed down. In elements I'm having a hard time in getting it to ignore the pressure sensitivity. I have the pen settings in the wacom software on the softer side so you dont have to press down hard to get the full size of the brush in photoshop, but when I go to test it out in PS it doesnt ignore the pressure.
Im using it on windows 7.
    Any ideas?

With the Brush Tool selected in pse 9 did you look at the settings for the graphics tablet?
It's a small arrow as in the screenshot below to reveal the popup menu to set the pressure options.
Since you posted in the full photoshop forum you might post over in the photoshop elements forum if the above doesn't work:

  • No pen pressure sensitivity in CS3

I am running both Photoshop versions CS2 and CS3 on a Macbook Pro with Leopard 10.5.6 installed. I have downloaded the latest Wacom driver for use with my Intuos2 tablet. Running CS2 the pen's pressure sensitivity is working fine. Running CS3 however, gives only 100% pressure on every stroke, regardless of the applied pressure on the pen.
    Can this be solved?

Be aware that when running CS2 under Leopard, there are usability issues that Adobe will not correct, as CS2 is long discontinued.

  • Can i adjust pressure sensitivity options for tools other then paint brush?

Greetings all, i'm new to Photoshop elements and this forum, could someone help me with this problem please!!!!!!
Is there a way to adjust the pressure sensitve options opacity, scatter, hue jitter e.t.c for tools other then the paint brush such as the dodge and burn tool?
I'm wanting to use the dodge and burn tools with say a chalk brush but set the pressure sensitivity of my tablet to opacity, i can do this for the paint brush by using the tablet options drop down menu but the option doesn't seem to be avaiable for  tools such as the eraser, dodge and burn and smudge tools.
I've tryed the brushes from the Pressure Sensitive set but there is no chalk brush in the Pressure Sensitive brush set that effects opacity and you can't adjust what settings are effected for each pressure sensitive brush when using tools other then the Paint Brush.
Can anyone help me with this as i've tryed everything i can think of.

I guess the easiest way would be to select the paint brush tool
and using the brush of your choice, set those options you want
    and save the brush.
Then when you select a tool such as the burn tool, select your brush.
The one option that won't apply is the hue jitter (you can't use hue jitter or
color dynamics in the full version of photoshop either for most other tools
    aside from the brush tool)
