To create login form using swing with sqlserver as backend

hi.
can anybody send me code to create login form using swings .
thnaks in advance..

You do realise that you can't create Swing on a JSP page?
You have to use HTML.
If you want to use Swing, the java must be running at the client end, which means you need an Applet, and a completely different forum.

  • Please help me in creating a form using Swing.

(I m sorry if I've posted similar post in some other thread.I am new to this forum..:))
There are several problems which I am facing while coding a form.
    1. In the form I have one JComboBox
of Country and other of State. Now I want it in such a way that when
I select a country from the Country JComboBox ,the corresponding states
automatically appears in the State JComboBox.
    2. I need to add picture frame in the 6th tab so that the picture shows up when clicked browse and open.
3.I need to add tables in 1st and 5th tab which shows up the details through database when added through several textboxes and combo boxes.
    so please help me!
    Here's my code

First things first. Next time please use the code formating tags when posting your code.
Secondly, we cant help you do your entire project or more specifically we cant do it for you. We can probably help you with one section at a time.
Thirdly, do not post your entire code. Create a Short, Self Contained, Compilable Example (SSCCE) that demonstrates the problem section, and that is independent of any third party libraries and can compiled instantly and tested.
Now, lets see if we can answer one problem here.
Ques 1. In the form I have one JComboBox of Country and other of State. Now I want it in such a way that whenI select a country from the Country JComboBox ,the corresponding states automatically appears in the State JComboBox.
Ans 1: Use an ItemListener or an ActionListener (javax.swing.event) for this. Once an item is selected, the event will be fired and then you populate your ComboBox with the requried data.
Ques 2. I need to add picture frame in the 6th tab so that the picture shows up when clicked browse and open.
Ans 2: You haven't created the JButton for the browse action, nor have you created the JLabel to show the picture in. Create the JButton, then the JLabel, attach an ActionListener to the button to listen for the button click, open a JFileChooser, select the image file, create an ImageIcon and pass the File object returned to it. Then call the JLabel.setIcon( the ImageIcon) to display the picture. You'll have to store the picture File information some where so can reference it when saving.
Ques 3.I need to add tables in 1st and 5th tab which shows up the details through database when added through several textboxes and combo boxes.
You need to do some reading. The Swing Tutorial has everything you need, from How to use Tables to How to connect to databases. There are also some examples in your JDK installation folder, ie, jdk/demos/jfc/tableExample. Here is the link to the swing tutorial on how to use Tables: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/table.html. You find other useful links there.

  • Ora-20001 when creating a form on table with report (bug?)

Having some trouble creating a "Form on table with report".
    1) I pick my table
    2) take most of the defaults on the page where you pick the report type (interactive) and the page number (I changed it to 950). next->
    3) Do not use tabs. Next->
    4) Select all columns for the report. THEN (here's the problem) set an optional where clause of system_role_name like 'ODPSPOPUP%'. Next->
    5) choose standard edit link. next->
    6) Specify a page of 951 for the form (leave others defaults). next->
    7) Set the form primary key (defined in table). next->
    8) use existing trigger. next->
    9) choose all columns for the form. next->
    10) Leave actions to insert, update, delete. next->
    11) Get to the summary page and click Finish
Then I get an error page saying:
ORA-20001: Unable to create query and update page. ORA-20001: Unable to create query and update page. ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
If I go back to step 4 and erase my where clause the wizard completes successfully.
Also if I change the report type in step 2 from the default of "Interactive" to "Classic" the wizard completes successfully. However upon running the report I get a query parse error. Looks like the where clause in the report sql is: system_role_name like ''ODPSPOPUP%'' (two single quotes on each side).
It looks as if you cannot specify a where clause with a quoted string. The wizard is expecting a bind variable.
    Workaround(s):
    1) Don't specify a where clause when report type = Interactive in "create form on table with report" wizard.
    or
    2) Specify a bogus where clause using bind variable syntax such as "system_role_name like :BOGUSVARIABLE". Then edit the report query once the wizard finishes and change the where clause to the constant string you wanted to use in the wizard (e.g. "system_role_name like 'MYSYSTEM%'")

It's a bug, all right. Thanks for the detailed problem description. We'll fix it when we can.

  • Creating a form using Acrobat 9

I'm trying to create a form using Acrobat 9 and know how to insert check boxes and text fields but when I enter in data into the fields it copies it through the document.  How can I create a field that I can cut and paste throughout the document but allow it to have separate data in it from the rest of the fields?

You'll need to rename all of the fields you copy & paste so that each one
of them has a unique name. Fields with the same name will automatically
    have the same value.

  • How to create a form using dblink

    dear all
    I am using Ora11g Xe, i have created a dblink of another database user; now i would like to create a form using apex, would anybody can guide me how to go about it? i have tried with normal procedure of creating a form (using client@cmd ie tablename@dblink name) but it didn't work;
    thanks in advance
    uday

My first preference wouldn't be to use a DB link as opposed to some APIs on the target database that I can call from the form.
Reason being that there are some things that may best not controlled over a DB link.
However if you have a really simple case and really have to use this method then in theory you could try creating a synonym pointing to the remote DB object and hopefully Apex should treat it the same as a local object.
Warning, I've never tried it :-).

    [The Really Big Index|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/reallybigindex.html]
    Here are a few tips:
1 - Do not mix AWT and SWING: it'll just cause you headaches in the long run that you cannot fix without refactoring to properly not mix the 2 together.
2 - You use JDBC to access the database
3 - You make accessors/constructors to pass parameters that you need from one form to another.
    Have fun.

    kindly help it is urgent.
    Regards,

A possible reason for this is the requirement for something in the 'Path' field such as public_html - some ISPs don't use this, some do, or something different. This is a folder in your server space, and its contents represent the published webspace, so if you don't have the path when it's required you are publishing to a level on the server one above what outsiders can read. This is something you'd have to check with Easyspace.

  • Creating tabular form using SQL query

    Hi,
I need to create a tabular form using an SQL query so that multiple rows of a table are displayed on screen and are editable to the user.
I have created this sort of form before using the Tabular Form wizard however for this form I need to enter SQL to produce it.
    The steps I take are:
    1. Create Page
    2. Page with Component
    3. Form
    4. Fow on a SQL query
    5. For the query I have: 'select * from depot_master_customer'
However when I view the page, it just displays one blank field with the title '*' !!
I am doing something completely wrong here? It seems like it should be a simple thing to do.
Any help appreciated, this one is driving me mad.
    Thanks
    Simon

    Simon,
You will need to manually create the tabular form and DML process. This is covered in detail in the How To document shown below:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/htmldb/howtos/tabular_form.html
    Have you tried this yet?
    Good luck!
    Emilio.
