To restrict changes in P.R.

Hi guru's,
Can anybody advise me,
My issue is our branches are preparing P.R.'s & H.O will
generate P.O. w.r.t. P.R. Now what happening is our branches again making changes in the P.R. & changing the quantity. They have authorisation for create P.R., change & display for the same, now how can we restrict them without ceasing their authorisation which could cause problems in their normal activities.

Hi,
As per my understanding you don't want to change PR qty after it has been converted into PO. For this to happen you can configure release strategy for PR. You can visit the following link for setting Rel Strategy for PR. Authorisation for each release level can be given to concerned persons.After final release it is not possible to change PR Qty. Only the person who has set the final release can unrelease the document and change the PR qty. This is how you can restrict change to PR qty.

Training & Event Management: Restrict Change to Business Event

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a way to restrict change to Business Event (eg. changes to the Event Schedule) based on certain business criteria? My criteria cannot restrict by authorization.
For eg. let say if something happens (based on business scenario), then my program will restrict the users to change details in Business Event, but they can still book Personnels to the event- so that means I can't use the LOCK/UNLOCK function.

Oh! Sorry I did not noticed your initial post date, any how at least we can share knowledge.
Regarding your concern about the FM, we have created function module ZHR_TRAINING_AUTH and table ZHR_TRAINING_AUTH to restrict authorization related to respective department secretaries and business event group.
Then in Customization to create and configure the profile: go to Human Resources > Personal Management > Personal Development > Settings > Current Settings > Define Authorization Profile
Then later on you can Assign this newly created profile to the users, then you are able to restrict.

How to restrict change type in CC31

Hi ,
I have a new requirement in which I need to restrict change types in txn CC31 (Create ECR).onlya set of people should create a ECR with one change type and another set of ppl with another change type, but I am not able to find any auth object with the field CCART(Change types) to provide these restrictions .
Is creating a new auth object the only way ? please let me know if there is any other possibility or any other auth objects which can be used for the same ?

Fields of such types (e.g. document types, master data accounts, etc) are often not the same field name that you are looking for in an authorization object, but rather grouped in their master records and the authority-check is against the assigned group value.
More often than not, if no group value is assigned to a record then no check is made.
So what you can try to look for is a BEGRU type field of an object in the code and look to see where it is gettings its value from.
Might be worth a try...

Hi aravind,
A PR is just a requesting document, and SAP allows for changes to these
as this does not break the document flow if the PO exists. A user can
change the PR to use it for creation of a new PO.
I have seen OSS notes about this on a previous clients site, check SAP
OSS (https://websmp209.sap-ag.de/~SAPIDP/0020068250000 00234912001E).
TCode OPUA will not help you here as it only allows you to set which
fields are visible/required/highlighted etc.

Hi Umar,
In BOM header data under Quants/Long txt you have on field as Authorization group. You can control the BOM changes by different users through authorizaton groups.
Define authorization groups for the two users Eg: Z001, Z002. Enter Z001 for BOM's header materials pertaining to category camera and Z002 for BOM's header materials pertaining to Vaccum.
Create seperate roles in PFCG (Take Basis help) for User 1, User 2 and maintain this authorization group in the role for change BOM T code i.e. CS02 against authorization field BEGRU in authorization object C_AENR_BGR.
System will display the error message as 'You are not authorized for authorization group XXXX' if they try to change BOM with other authorization group.

Restrict changes in purchase requisition if it is released.

hi experts.
I tried to restrict changes in released purchase requisitions using exit - cozf0001( for externally processed operation) and cozf0002(for externally procured component). I am displaying an error message if somebody tries to change a Pur. Req. and save it.
It is working fine in case of cozf0001.
But in case of cozf0002 after my message statement execution is going to a subroutine - 'SAVE_NEW_OBJECT' called by main program SAPLCOMD. In that subroutine
code is like-
message id sy-msgid type 'I' number sy-msgno
with sy-msgv1 sy-msgv2 sy-msgv3 sy-msgv4.
as a result my message eis coming as a warning even if I have my message type is 'E'. Please give me some solution so that my message can be error but not a warning or information.

Hi,
In release procedure for PR under rellease indicators the changebility indicator might have set as 2 or 3 or 4. Hence the system is allowing to change the PR after release. The changeability indicator function to allow changes of PR after completion of release PR. There are 4 indicators pertaining to PR. According to the requirement can set. If you set 1 indicator system won't allow to change the PR. I hope this will resolve your issue. Thanking you.

If you can use separate project type for those project u can control field selection on OPUK having influencing field as project type.

When do you create Proforma Invoice? After PGI or before PGI.
If you are creating Proforma after PGi then there is no issue as Delivery Cannot be changed after PGI.
If you are issuing Proforma Invoice before PGI then you will have to go for a Z-Development as there is nothing available in SAP Standard to fulfill your requirement.

1. dialog
2. system
3. communication
4. service
5. reference
Kindly mention the function and role of all the above mentioned user types specifically and hows is one user type different from another.
These are as follows:-
1. Dialogue:-
For this kind of users:-
GUI login is possible.
Initial password and expiration of passowrd are checked.
Multi GUI logins are checked.
Usage:- These are used for GUI logins.
2. System
For this kind of users:-
GUI login is not possible.
Initial password and expiration of passowrd are not checked.
Usage:- These are used for internal use in system like background jobs.
3. Communication
For this kind of users:-
GUI login is not possible.
Users are allowed to change password through some software in middle tier.
Usage:- These are used for login to system through external systems like web application
4. Service
For this kind of users:-
GUI login is possible.
Initial password and expiration of passowrd are not checked.
Multiple logins are allowed.
Users are not allowed to change the password. Only admin can change the password
Usage:- These are used for anonymous users. This type of users should be given minimum authorization.
5. Reference
For this kind of users:-
GUI login is not ible.
Initial password and expiration of passowrd are not checked.
Usage:- These are special kind of users which are used to give authorization to other users.

Do you know how to restrict End Users can change data stored in Tabs Defaults and Parameters of tcode: SU3.
I was checking Authorization Objects related this transaction but I did not find a way to fix this issue.

I've been looking into this same question. I don't think there's any way to protect individual user parameters, which is what we really wanted to do, but it is possible to protect the Parameters tab as a whole while still granting access to the Address and Defaults tabs (if desired). SU3, which is usually given to all users, gives change access to all three tabs in the User Data, but to make it more fine-grained, as the last person said, take away SU3 and instead grant whatever combination of SU0, SU1, or SU2 makes sense for your organization. SU0 gives access to the Defaults tab, SU1 to the Address tab, and SU2 to the Parameters tab.
So, in your case, you would grant SU1 only, so users can change their name or phone number, etc, but not Defaults or Parameters. They won't even be able to see defaults or parameters if you do this, though.

As of now we have 2 different system lets say sys-1 and sys-2. our requirement is if at all any of the users are trying to change/create the material in Sys-1 they should be only able to update basic information and parts regional information/global informations only in sys-1.
Do we have any option in customizing?
If not then what would be the way to achieve this?

Restricting changing the status of an order

Hello,
When creating an order (tcode va01), it is possible to change the status of the object. Some of the statuses are for example:
u2022 1 Napp Not Approved
u2022 2 App Approved
u2022 3 Reje Rejected
u2022 u2026.
Is it possible to restrict people in choosing the status? For example one can only choose Napp and the other one can only choose App.
I have checked the va01 auth obj in su24, but did not find any auth obj related to this matter.

Hello,
I think no status objects are present for customization in sap and for this you can use STATUS_OBJECT_CREATE (functional module) and it will generate for you a temporary OBJNR and you can fill at least OBTYP and replace it actual one, for replacement you can use function module STATUS_OBJECT_SWITCH_NUMBER.
