  • My iPhone 4S is becoming too hot on the back after using apps

My phone 4s is becoming too hot on the back after using apps and browsing over the net

Apple actually recommended that at least once a month What I've noticed in the iPhones and iPods that when you drain it to 0%, it saves some energy to display that connect to AC source. That's what you get when you turn on your phone or ipod even if it's 0%. That WILL destroy the battery but full cycling wouldn't.
I tried it and it worked thanks but after a day it will be glitchy again :l

  • How Hot is Too Hot for the Wireless Module

I have noticed my Wireless Module is running from 127 deg F to 131 deg F and wonder what is
too hot? At what temp should I become concerned?

131 F is not very hot, you know.
If I knew that I would not have posted the question. I have heard the iMac will
shut down if it gets too hot; however, I have no idea what is too hot.
When I ran the migration assistant to transfer files for the G4 to this iMac, one
of the hard drives got too hot and the migration assistant gave me a waring that the
transfer was stopped waiting for a drive to cool down. After a few minutes, it
started up again. That was very scary!

  • Does anyone Bravia XBR-55x850c gets extremely hot on the bottom surface of the TV?

Bottom surface of the X850c gets extremely hot to the touch. Does anyone have similar issue? Or maybe it's normal? Please let me know. Thanks

You need to take it in to Apple and let them take a look at it.  You have a short in your iPod Touch that needs to be repaired.

  • My Ipod touch 2nd gen. was working fine but when I tried to charge from my PC the Ipod start getting too hot and the screen turn black and doesn't  work anymore.Maybe is burn?

My Ipod touch 2nd generation was working fine until I tried to charge again from my PC,when I connected the Ipod was getting too hot and smelling like burn cable, the screen turn black and doesn't work anymore. any ideas about what happen?

    You can try here:
    iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
However, from your discription, I suspect that something is broken.  Maybe a dead battery.  In that case. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and see what they say.

  • Not too hot about the jazz the Apple drum loops, does anyone know of a good drum software to interface with logic? Or, a loops source to get quality brush samples.

Logic has no decent jazz brushes in there drum loops!! What to do???

Hi j232..for interfacing drum i would suggest Superior drummer 2.0. It has all the loops u want plus it keeps getting the expansion packs (i mean u have to buy it )which are genre based so as of now it has everything from vintage kits to new age. Also it says on the site(toontrack.com) that its tested with logic.
I used it in mixcraft on my PC. and it was very easy, real and satisfying for me. Ordered it now for my new mac to interface with logic pro.
    hope that helps
    cheers

  • How hot is too hot for the the CPU?

Using a widget, I've noticed that my CPU-A is running at temps at or above 200 degrees Fahrenheit at times. Despite those temps, the fan is not kicking on.
Is this normal? I don't ever recall my previous Mac getting above about 140 degrees

This is a life saver and I've always had it
if your problem still persist after resetting.
    just download this !!!

  • Macbook pro 13" late 2011 too hot

I've been using my macbook for about 4 years in the same way with the same applications but recently I've noticed that it reaches very easily an high temperature and, consequently the fan works very hard draining my battery.
Analysing Istat pro I noticed that the temperature reaches 93° degree and more but looking up the processes it doesn't seem there is something wrong.
What do you suggest me? should I try to clean up the fans?
2 years ago I mounted the Crucial RAM update together with the 512gb ssd.
    Thank you very much

Look at Activity Monitor set to ALL PROCESSES and CPU to display values from high to low.  Are there applications using a lot of resources?
    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203184
93°c is not too hot if the CPU/GPU are being heavily taxed.
In what condition is your battery?  It is not unusual to have to replace a 4 year old battery.  They do not last forever.
Open the MBP and inspect the insides.  If there is dust and debris, clean it out.
    Ciao.

  • What is the keyboard like?

    I;m considering purchasing a Macbook, I've currently got a 12" Powerbook.
I'm not too sure about the keyboard though. Is it nice to use as it doesn't look as good as the Powerbook one. Not sure I like the spaces between the keys. What does everyone think?

JoeyR is correct about the spacing.
My two cents about the keyboard: It is the best keyboard I have ever used. I hardly ever typo anything on it. It feels great to use - the keys take much less force to push than my friend's Apple Pro Keyboard, making typing much easier and making it so you hardly ever omit letters (which happens to me all the time on the Pro keyboard). My typing was never this accurate or fast before I started using this keyboard. I got used to it in about two seconds and now I love it. Now whenever I use my mom's PC keyboard, I feel cheated...lol :P

  • Having problems with phone getting too hot when not in use

Hi there -- I'm trying to figure out what I can do to fix this.  Recently I had to get a replacement S3 because my original shut off mid-use and wouldn't turn back on.  The replacement has been here for about a month and in the last 2 weeks I'm having issues with it getting too hot.  The first time it happened, I had it plugged into the stock charger for about 1 1/2 hours - and I had picked it up expecting it to be fully charged but it was extremely hot and had a warning on the main screen saying that the battery was critically hot and was not charging and the phone was nearly completely dead.  I unplugged it, took the battery out and let the main phone body cool down.  After about 15 minutes, the body felt like room temperature again, so I put it all back together.  It turned on, charged normally that night and all was well.
Now for the last several days, I'm having issues again with it getting hot at random times when I'm not even using it (and not charging it).  The last time, I downloaded a temperature app and it said the phone was nearly 105 degrees, and it felt the hottest right at the home button.  Later that night after it cooled down, I noticed that the battery wasn't charging at all and was depleting rapidly on the charger.  I restarted twice with no change and then took the battery out and let it sit for several minutes.  After that it began charging again.
With it getting hot so much more often now, I'm starting to worry about this happening when I need my phone for an emergency as I spend a lot of time on the road transporting my kids to school and activities.  Is there a fix for this?  It doesn't appear to be the battery because my husband and I have the same phone and I've already swapped batteries with him - same issue for me, no issue for him.  Please help?  Thanks!

Hello Micheliu813, let's get to the bottom of this together! Are you using the same charger that came with the phone or a 3rd party charger? We can also test the phone in safe mode to see if the device heats up again. Check here for steps: http://vz.to/1kb9LUM

  • X100e too hot, shuts down

Over the last month or so, and in 4 different occasions, my X100e (AMD Athlon Neo MV-40, 3GB RAM) has gotten too hot, to the point that it has shut down by itself. I didn't get any notification that it was an emergency, temp related shutdown, but I assume so because the bottom of the unit was extremely hot.
One of those occasions I was transferring video to my Zune player, 2 other occasions I was downloading music and 1 just listening to music while browsing the web.
Does that seem normal? I ran some tests with the Thinkvantage Toolbox and it said the temperature reached 86 c degrees... and it didn't feel as hot as those other times.
I've been a Thinkpad owner for over 10 years and I've never had this kind of trouble. I'm not sure if this is normal for this model, or I got a defective unit.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for my bad English by the way.

    Hello,
Just to check, do you have the latest BIOS firmware installed for your X100e?
You should be able to download it from this page on Lenovo's support web site.

  • IMac not booting - thinks its too hot?

I've just dug out my old G5 iMac in order to reformat the drive and pass it on to a new owner, and after a brief period of working fine it has more or less died. Here are the symptoms:
    • Won't start when the power button on the rear is pressed.
    • On the motherboard, LEDs 1 and 4 are lit (after attempting to start up).
    • It makes no difference how long I leave the machine - it still fails to start.
Now, I believe LED 4 indicates overheating - but while the machine could conceivably have got too hot on the occasion that it died in the middle of copying some files, it is clearly now giving an erroneous temperature warning. Is there a sensor I can replace? Something to reset?
    Any suggestions gratefully received!

  • Running really hot from the start

Just set up my (new to me) refurbished MBP that came preloaded with Tiger and a Leopard upgrade DVD. Sitting in a new Higher Ground case that elevates it on four pads to keep air moving underneath. The upgrade installation took about an hour (half to review the disc and half to install). When that was done I turned it off and picked it up to move it. I could feel warmth through the bottom of the case, which is made so notebooks can be used without removing them, and was surprised how warm the bottom of the case felt. I touched the bottom of the MBP and it was almost too hot to touch. I would not be able to keep it in my lap this way. So before I venture forth, I'd like to know if this is normal. I have read other posts about fans running problematically and about running warm, but I didn't see anything about too hot to the touch.

They can get quite hot on the bottom. Install iStat Pro and let us know what your internal temps are running.

  • 127 degrees F.. too hot for new iMac ?

iStat Pro says my new iMac HD temp is 127 degrees F. Is this too hot? The top left side of the case is almost too hot to rest my hand on. The case gets progressively cooler as I run my hand down the side.

127 degrees F is not too hot at all, mine regularly gets there and comes back down. You are resting your hand on the exhaust vent so of course it's going to be hot. I have seen my machine get as hot as the high 130's with no adverse affect. It seem like the temperatures are influenced by how warm the room is and if you are doing something that is graphics intensive. Also having vents that are blocked or living in a dusty environment can influence temps. My advice would be keep your iMac well ventilated (the intake is at the bottom of the machine) and once in a while when the machine is turned off vacuum both intake and exhaust vent to pull any dust that my have accumulated.
