What tools do we use to design the CRF's . Is that Adobe Designer, Adobe Framemaker>? or what r the other ones
When Oracle clinical can internally design a CRF ( summing up the DCM's and DCI's) why do we need to design using adobe or any other third party tool. Is this because the RDC is compatible to adobe pdf? or .. please throw a light

VS2013 Express Report Viewer - Design a New Report
I just installed VS2013 Express and added ReportViewer to the .NET Framework Components. I then added a ReportViewer to a Form in a new project, added a SQL Server 2008 Object using the object explorer, followed by adding a DataSet of one of my SQL
Server 2008 Database Tables. All good so far as I was following Mario Scopel's youtube video on "Creating Reports in C# - Part 1 of 2".
The next step was to Design a New Report using the ReportViewer's Task arrow and clicking "Design a New Report" but it does nothing!!! What is wrong with this software? Am I missing something regarding the RDL schema? What do I need
to do to create a new report to this local database?

I have one Master Table and it has 3 Detail tables.

Hi All,
I have designed a crystal report in the following manner
1.the report is grouping the data by column1 and then by column 2 i.e
column1
column2
2.the db object conatins nearly 70000 rows of data.
3.when the report is run it is not displaying data rather it runs for some time,later a run time error is thrown

1) Copy the SQL Query that Crystal Reports is generating from the Database Menu > Show SQL Query
Try running that query in a querying tool that matches your database connection method, odbc, oledb, etc... Are results returned from that tool?
2) Are there timeout limits on the database?
3) Can you limit the number of records returned to the report through record selection and does it run to completion? If so keep increasing the number of records returned until it fails
4) What is the error message you are receiving? -

Khan.Group Left report can be done using table consisting of 1 row and 2 columns. Group header goes to the column 1, group details go to the second column. Group details can be also designed using table, in this case you get table within table cell. "for-each.." statement for the upper level group to be placed in the left column before the group header data. "end for-each.." to be placed in the second column after the detail data.

How to design Customized ALV report like normal report !
Hello Friends,
I like to design a ALV report, with sub headers, sub totals, summary total and other summary details like percentage sale, which is not relavent to the fields displayed in the ALV.
I know it is possible to get total of the displayed field, but is it possible to design flexible ALV report like normal report.
Could U please provide example code, if available.

How to build a Report/Form sharing the same page and do multiple Updates
Hi, I´m building and APEX application (V4.2). Customer is demanding a report/form with the ability to do multiples Updates with only one click. For example, they check multiples "check box" for Aprpove and then only one click for "Apply Changes".

If I understand you correctly you want to check a number of rows for approval and update their status. The jQuery function used looks for checked checkboxes. In your case that will correspond with an update on the IND_PROBACION column. You can simply log the PK column value of each checked row:

You need to replace PK with the actual column name of your primary key column, or rowid for that matter.
In your submit process you can simply set each IND_PROBACION to your apporval value for each pk stored in the P!_PKS item.

Minor glitch with manually created report form
I don't know if this is "as designed" or not, but it seems like a minor glitch. If I create a report form manually, using htmldb_item syntax and have a column or two using the hidden construct (htmldb_item.hidden) and subsequently go back into the report source to make a change, the hidden columns suddenly become visible again so that I have to go into the report attributes and unlick the show button, even though the field is still defined as hidden.
Like I said, it's a minor issue, but something that should be probably be cleaned up someday.Hi,

Assertion_Failed dump when accessing Design Time for Processes & Forms EP3
After exhausting SAP note searches and the SDN community forums, blogs & wiki searches, I decide to make my first SDN post:
After installing Enhancement Pack 3 to the base ECC 6.0, we got the Design Time for Processes & Forms node in the IMG under HR Administrative Services. I was able to get in to it the very first time without any issues; however once I selected one of the sample SAP processes, I received an "Assertion_Failed" dump in the section of code saying a referenced node must exist. In debugging, we did see a node that is referencing a node that does not exist, which is causing the dump. The dump occurs in CL_HRASR00_DT_OBJECT_BROWSER, Method ASSERT_OBJ_HIER_IS_CONSISTENT (line 71).
I now get this dump each time I try to execute the Design Time for Processes & Forms node in the IMG. Note: when accessing process the old way, there is no issue.
To me is seems like either EP3 was not installed completely, something went wrong in the activation of those business functions, or the copy of the sample forms from client 000 did not grab everything. In debugging, it appears that the missing reference node is related to some form scenario node. Also note that all the steps under Technical Settings were completed.
Has anyone seen this issue before?

Alternately the dump can be

1.Start SE16 transaction
2.Give the table name as T5ASRDTOBJHIER and press RETURN key
3.Execute the Selection screen by pressing on F8 Key
4.Select the following entries:
i. OBJECT TYPE = PROCESS and NODE TYPE = PROC_REF_FSCN_DIRECT
ii.OBJECT TYPE = PROCESS and NODE TYPE = PROC_REF_FSCN_DIRECT_START
5. Click on EDIT entries button on the header
6. Enter in the field REF_OBJECT_TYPE the value as FORM_SCENARIO
7. Click on the Next button on the header bar to navigate to the next entry
8. Repeat Step 6 for this entry also
9. Save the modification
Additionaly, perform the following steps as well:
1.Start SE16 transaction
2.Give the table name as T5ASRDTTOOLS and press RETURN key
3.Execute the Selection screen by pressing on F8 Key
4.Click on CREATE entry button on the header
5.Enter the following to create a new entry:

You can check for Apex views by running:
SELECT DISTINCT APEX_VIEW_NAME FROM APEX_DICTIONARY ORDER BY 1Hopefully, the names should be sufficient to determine the views you need. Once you have found one (eg, APEX_APPLICATION_PAGES), you can do a SELECT on it
