Track Asset Usage by Projects

We need to track our Fixed Asset usage and profitability. We are a Project centric organisation and need to track which assets are being used by which projects and allocate the asset and it's maintenance cost to projects. We then have to review the utilisation/profitability of this asset by comparing the cost to the revenue generated by it. We use Oracle Projects, Accounts Payables and Fixed Assets modules. Can we achieve this using the current modules. Is there a specific module in Oracle EBS which performs this function.

Under system information there is usually some sort of computer id or name but even if I could record user name of the person that loged in that would work to. I don't need to know for sure who did or didn't open it, just a general idea of where it has been.

When you create the WBS in will create from there an AUC. In the auc in the tab origin you see the project number.
When you settle it from the AUC (in PS) to the final asset you found the AUC number back in the asset tab origin. You can click to on the posting on the asset

If I wanted to include apple loops in the assets of Logic project folders that are part of a song that follows a tutorial available for download on a paid educational website would that be ok? No one would be paying for the file itself that's part of the membership. I don't want to get into any copyright problems. I understand that they are royalty free and you can include them in your music no problem but the individual loops would be in the audio folder if I saved all the assets to the project file.
Also, would it be ok to include screen shots I take myself of apple programs in my downloadable content?
Just trying to figure out exactly how I should go about it to avoid any legal issues.

My gut reaction is that you may well run into © issues if you re-distribute the original AppleLoops.If your customers are paying for the training, they are also paying for the content you provide, so I feel that you would be re-selling the loops.
Given that anyone who has a copy of Logic would likely have installed all the loop content, there should be no need to distribute them with the project files. Alternatively, make your own loops.

Automatic Asset creation through Project settlement

Can any body help me about the Process of Auto Asset creation through Project settlement.
I need to know how system calculate the Quantity from the Project settlement. if such type of Process exist in SAP

Hi,
There is process in SAP where we can create AuC from Projects. We need to have an investement profile set up and the same needs to be used in the project. You will have the details in SAP Help documnetation for this.

Tracking memory usage

I have run to a memory limitation problem with my MIDP 1 application. So I'm trying to track memory usage. However I found out that WTK memory monitor gives me different results then Runtime memory functions (by calling Runtime.getRuntime().freeMemory()). In particular, Runtime.freeMemory shows less available heap dynamic memory than WTK memory monitor.
How can I then find out what is taking up the memory space that WTK memory monitor hides from me?
Also calling Runtime.freeMemory at the very begining at the start of my application shows me that there is roughly 90KBytes of heap memory in use. What is taking up this space?

Of course I did that. I wouldn't have gotten correct results with Runtime.freeMemory if I hadn't done that.

Creating Asset Lines from Projects

Hi All,
We have transactions recorded in Projects module which need to be sent to assets module for creation of assets
However, the problem here is that they need to create many asset lines from one transaction (400-500 asset lines)
Users have been manually completing information required to create asset lines from projects module and running the program to transfer to assets module
In this case there are too many lines to create manually,
Is there any workaround to this issue?
Can the lines be transferred to assets module and then split on the prepare mass additions form? If so, can you please let me know the details, to transfer the line as a "multi-unit" line so it can be split on the mass additions form

I was thinking just that conroy, attached is a crop of the type of the black and white scan I'm working with, this was originally a trace, it is a very large document this is just one part of it.
Thanks Noel I did mess around with your suggestions, not sure I achieved what I was after, it was either too strong removing everything or too weak.
What I'm trying to do is get rid of the speckle (despeckle filter cleans it a little) and just have all the lines nicely redrawn and crisp. I've so far being doing it manually but it is 1) inaccurate and 2) taking me a very long time.

Is there a way to track Admin usage of ANM

Is there a way to track Admin usage of ANM (application network manager)? We have a few servers running the ANM application. Each ANM server points to/manages ACE blades (in the datacenter where the server resides). I would like to understand how much the ANM gui is used for each of the servers. I have looked through the GUI for some sort of report but wasn't able to find one. Cisco ACS has the "Adminstration Audit" report which shows all admin activity of the application per admin user (per ACS server). Is there an equivalent report for ANM?
In addtion I would like to know how much of the ACE config activity is spawned via CLI versus the ANM gui.

Possible for Solution Manger to track Transaction usage?

Dear Experts,
I want to track the usage of SAP transactions by the users in some systems over 1 year period. Based on some online reading, I can see the 2 options:
1. Via SM19 Security Audit
2. Via STAD (short term only)
However, with all the system monitoring features brought in by Solution Manager, is there a way to use Solution Manager to serve the same purpose?

Whilst not specific to solman, wouldn't ST03/ ST03N be a better alternative and increase the retention period from 3 months to 13 or or so?

When Apple tracks your app usage for your battery is it able to track the usage of apps you've deleted off of your phone?

Ive downloaded aops that I've ised but deleted. Is Apple able to track the usage of that apo that has been deleted?

Usage data of individual apps is not regularly sent to Apple and you can simply opt out of sending any diagnostic or crash data. And a deleted app certainly cannot send usage data as it is not available on the device to be used, nor can an absent app crash and generate a log report.

Is there an app to track internet usage of other apps?

I know you can check your overall usage from your phone. But is there an app which tracks how much I use on specific apps, GPS, Safari, Youtube etc.?

There are some apps in the app store that track data usage, but I don't believe they can track by app, only whether it's cellular data or WiFi. But do a search anyway.

Solo safe re-enabling itself on a certain track when re-loading project

I have come across a little problem where a Solo safe keeps re-enabling itself on a certain track when re-loading project.
Has anyone else come across this? I'd be interested to know if you/they came up with a solution

how do I Consolidate tracks from multiple .Band projects onto one .band project?? I've got 4-5 tracks which are each seperate podcasts on one .band file. I need to add a few tracks from a different .band file (because they're podcasts that are part of the same podcast series project). How do I consolidate them? Tried copy/paste the track, didn't work. you can copy and paste, it just take a little more effort to do what you want. read the tute on rescuing files and you'll see how to move one project into another:

then create the needed tracks for the next project and move them into the right positions, etc.

Opening various tracks from various GB projects into Logic rop

Hi. I am having some difficulty. I have a song I have been working on in GB. I have been experimenting with different sounds and therefore have 3 different GB projects on it. I would like to take individual/different tracks from those 3 GBs and put them all in 1 Logic.
Do I have to export/bounce each one through Itunes?, but that permanently embeds my effects. I would like to be able to still tweak all the tracks some more once they are in logic.
basically, how do I open individual gb "tracks" not projects, into Logic? thanks.

just basically wondering if there is any way to select individual tracks within a GB project and move/drag/copy/paste/export/import etc. them into logic, while keeping all of their settings intact so they can be further worked on in Logic.
I know some roundabout ways but it will take forever. I have probably 100 tracks mixed up among 3 different GB projects (like 20 or 30 track in each project) and I need to get them into 1 Logic project. I know how to find the raw files, but then I will have to manually add all of my effects (many are customized) again and that could take some time, because I will have to create all my custom effects in logic. I would have to go into GB and right down all of my moves and the details of the customized effect and then make an replica of it in Logic....sheww....that could take a long time. i have tons of effects....
