Tracks disappearing mid-song

around frame 79 all tracks in a song disappear but one. the data of all the tracks is still visible but there is no sound; it happens at the exact same time for all of them. everything drops out except for one track.
any idea why this might happen?

I had the same problem and was freaking out..
Then I just moved the slider on the "tempo" of the master track under "Track info" and the whole tracks show now.. all two hours

I've been working on a song in Garageband and suddenly lost audio from real instruments and can only hear the midi from last night until today. It consists of 3 midi tracks and 9 audio tracks. I have software plugins or FX on almost all 9 tracks with amplitube or similar. Things are slow as the arrow is red at the top, however last night I was able to still make changes - slowly. I was able to do a mixdown and export to mp3. Then I shut the computer down. Today I open up Garageband and can only hear the midi tracks of my song however other songs I have work totally fine. Nothing is muted and I've checked everything. Levels meters are moving on all the tracks, I can just feintly hear one guitar track. This is frustrating. I even tried locking half of the tracks and still nothing. I've rebooted etc and same
I'm running Lion with a TC Konnekt 8 sound module, on a 2.4 core duo 2 MBP with 4 GB of ram

I ran onyx and did a clean up etc then rebooted, loaded GB and same problems. I turned on the ducking thing, everything looked ok and then once I hit play everything worked again. I've turned off ducking and it still works. Could this be a glitch as I've never enabled it before

Anyway, I doubt its just my iTouch, but whenever I've bought songs on it in the past year, they just...disappear from it after a few days. I know, you ought to transfer tracks over to your laptop... thats fair. But, why should it be a necessity? I have a mains adapter for my iTouch, therefore it doesn't connect to my laptop that often at all.
I think it's poor, that tracks disappear if they're not transferred. It's incredibly unfair, and a waste of my money. This has happened with almost every track I've purchased on my iTouch. I don't think it's right that they just disappear off the iTouch altogether, if not transferred. I never read anything that said I ought to transfer it onto my computer before x amount of time had gone by.
OR, is this just my iTouch? I got a £15 gift voucher from my parents for iTunes, and I'd like to be able to buy tracks over it easily rather than booting my laptop in order to do so.
It'd be great, if you could re-download any purchase you've made, if for instance, you accidentally delete the track. Or if you switch computers and the guy down the repair store has sold the parts of your old one and you can't grab the files :P
So, is there any reason for this, and is there anything I can do to stop it?

Hello i have a question, for example, i download a midi song. I open it on logic, how can i change for track 1 gm piano for an internal piano. I mean, i undestand that logic X have couple of internal instruments. Thank you for your help

Two options
Load a different Patch from the Library WIndow
Load a different Software Instruments from the Input button on the Channel Strip

Got iTunes match, synced up music from laptop to phone, headed out listening to playlist, all of a sudden, mid-song, music stopped and all music was gone and needed to be re-downloaded

Ok, so I initially bought the cloud mainly in the hopes that I could store all of my music on it and have access to it on my phone, which ended up not being the case. Fine. So I man up and get iTunes match, sync everything up between my laptop and my phone, make a playlist and head out listening to it. All of a sudden while I'm out, mid-song, the music stops. I go to see what's going on and everything is gone and has the icon to download next to it, and now I'm away from my wifi to boot, so charges apply. I don't understand. Now I have iCloud on my phone with 25 GB Total Storage and 25 GB Available because I don't understand what I should be using it for and iTunes match which, what, only works when I'm within spitting distance of my laptop? I've tried to get everything sorted out, paying a fee each time, and hitting roadblocks every step of the way; and on top of it, my phone is constantly telling me it can't do this or that because I don't have enough storage?? I realize I'm a bit of a noob, but c'mon, it shouldn't be this complicated or difficult, should it?

If you have no network access (3G, Wi Fi) you cannot stream music from the cloud. Period.The way you stop the behavior is to enable 3G, or pre-download the tracks you think you will want to listen to.

ITunes stops mid song

All software is up to date and all old and recent songs do the same thing play for a bit, then it stops/freezes then plays again. Does this or every track. WHY?!?

I got a similar problem.
There are some songs that will play perfectly on Winamp or WMP, but when on iTunes, it will play until an specific point and then change to the next song like if the song had just ended, but it hasn't. It's on mid-song.

Siri keeps activating and podcast & music app stop mid song

was just wondering if this is a known issue or only something i am experiencing, it appears to have started within the last week, siri will activate asking for a question then will immediate make the tone when you do not submit anything or cancel. this seems to happen only when i am using the podcast or music app, which both also randomly stop mid song. it will occasionally jump ahead to the next track, but this is much more rare. it also seems to occur a lot more regularly when i am walking. any ideas?

I have copied over my music files to a new computer and the music shows on itunes but wont play. When I track where the song is located it is reading the wrong information. How do I change this as Edit>Preferences has the right location?

Select one of the tracks with a broken link, press ctrl-i to Get Info. Say No when iTunes asks if you would like to locate the track, then look at the Summary tab for the location expects to find the file in.
Now try to locate the file in question. The two locations should give a clue as to what to do next.
Here is an example with a file I've deliberately moved from the new layout to the old pre-iTunes 9 layout.
This means iTunes is expecting to find the file at:
D:\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music\a-ha\Take On Me\01 Take On Me.mp3
but it isn't there because I've moved it to:
D:\iTunes\iTunes Media\a-ha\Take On Me\01 Take On Me.mp3
which is where it would have lived back in iTunes 8 (though the media folder would have been called iTunes Music back then as well).
If you can provide the expected and actual locations of a broken track I should be able to suggest the easiest way to resolve things.

I am unable to delete music from my iPhone5 either directly or via PC. On the iPhone the tracks disappear but the phone remains full and the data is still visible on the PC. I am unable to manipulate the data in any way on the PC.

The music was installed on the phone from the backup of a previous model but with the addition of new tracks I am now unable to add more or update to the next operating system as the phone is full. On my PC the music is still there and but the neither the delete function or any form of sorting/management on the music files is functional. Other Apple products work OK including previous phone, ipad.ipods etc Any advice/help available to get past this would be appreciated.

I think it is 7.1.1 - there was another update today which I've uploaded but it didn't make any difference. It's just the music libary on the 5 that's causing me problems.

If you have the song in iTunes already you can select it and "Get Info" then under the options tab...I think it's options, I'm away from my computer....change the start time to a time that is after the talking intro. From then on the song will start at the desired time.

Ipod turned off mid song - blank screen and wont restart

I have a 3rd generation ipod nano - used quite regularly but it has not sustained any known damages (not been in contact with water - not been dropped). I updated my ipod today - bought 9 songs and they synced in no problems. I was listening to the ipod in a doc for about an hour and then during one song the ipod suddenly cut out mid song and I cannot get it going again since.
The ipod has a fully blank screen - totally black.
I have gone through the steps via ipod - pressing inner circle and menue keys at same time. I have connected the ipod to the computer. I have re-started my computer - nothing...still blank black screen.
I tried contacting tech support via apple but it won't recognise my serial number! Its an authentic ipod - bought in an electronic shop.
The serial number is on both the origonal packaging and the ipod - but is not recognised by apple.
I am so upset - don't know where to go from here! I have years worth of music on this ipod which I am very worried about losing..and cannot really afford to dish out for a new nano right now.
Any suggestions for me?

I got the same problem, I just got it last night and charged it for more than 3 hours but with the same problem

TS1470 Downloaded songs stop mid-song in iTunes music library and on iPod.

I received the 'secure network connection could not be established' error message several times during a recent audio download. I was able to eventually complete all of the downloads by going to the 'available downloads' area. However, when I played back the downloaded songs, several of them ended mid-song although the complete songs appear to have successfully downloaded judging by the 'Time' (minutes) count for each song. (Interestingly enough, the majority of the songs that stopped mid-song during playback were marked as having high popularity in the iTunes store.)
I've had this issue with previous downloads too. I've been charged for and have paid for these songs, but didn't receive the full product in some cases. It's very frustrating that I'm not able to enjoy these songs in their entirety.
Have other folks had this issue? What is the resolution?

Something may have gone wrong with the index of the Music playlist. Download the current iTunes Free Single of the Week. I know it sounds odd, but it should fix the problem.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and delete the hidden file sentinel from inside the main iTunes folder, then start iTunes again. It should run a consistency check when it starts up.

Just keep it like it is. As an account Mgr you can do everything except add other account mgrs or change billing account pw. But if you have your dad's sign in info for his my vzw. Now if you need to build your credit then that's another story. Good luck to you and your dad

The tempo setting applies to the whole song, but only to the recorded midi instruments or loops. It's a bit of a kludge, but you could record different sections at different tempos, export each as an AIFF file, then glue them together in a new project.
The same goes for the key.
