Transaction Launcher " server could not be found" error

Hi Gurus,
i have created a transaction launcher and maintain all necessary connectivity settings required, but now when i execute this transaction launcher link in CRM webui screen , it processes and throws error" firefox could not find server at "my server name".
some more information:
sicf service object like webgui and few more are activated and published in se 80.
anything else i should check or maintain please help it is critical.

FWIW, back at work we have a Palo Alto Networks firewall and VPN. Have configured both the iPhone and the iPad with the pertinent details.
If I connect while in the premises (same LAN), connection is instantaneous and flawless.
If I connect while away, no matter which external network, the first attempt to connect ALWAYS fails with a NOT FOUND error. Yet if I try again immediately after, it ALWAYS connects with no further issues.

Hi! I recently aquired an Ibook G3 Special Edition running OX 10.2.8 with an Airport card. The card seems to have no problems finding and connecting to the network. When I open Safari or Explorer the homepage will open up (Google or Yahoo) but I am unable to navigate within that page or go to a new page. I get the above error. Please help! Got this for my daughter to be able to do internet schoolwork at home and cannot afford a new one.

Broadcasting Workbook Error | An active RFC server could not be found

Hi All,
I am facing an issue while trying to broadcast(distribute) a workbook. The broadcasting of a query from the query designer works fine. But when I try to distribute a workbook, it throws up the following error. We have used the SMTP method(Using SMTP plug-in) for broadcasting and we know that we can use RFC(Using RFC connection) too. But my question is whether RFC method is a must for workbook distribution.Kindly help me.

Have you configured a Precalculation server in transaction RSPRECADMIN ?
Precalculation servers are basically PC, that are used for their Excel capabilities, in order to produce up-to-date workbooks.

Error in Broadcaster - An Active RFC Server could not be found

Hi all,
I am trying to broadcast a workbook to my mailbox through Information Broadcasting, i am trying this in BI 7.0 system. In the Broadcasting wizard, I gave my mailid & the other required credentials. But when i click on Schedule, i am getting a Error message "An Active RFC Server could not be found. Error occured during processing of framework class CL_RSRD_PRODUCER_EXCEL, type PROD".
I checked in SU01 & my mailid is already added there. So, where am i missing or is there any settings need to be done for the Broadcaster to work?

The precalc server is not needed if you are generating html output, but certainly is mandatory for the Broiacaster to run/distribute BEx Excel Workbooks.
The BW needs access to a Windows computer that has Excel on it. The BW connects to the Precacl and sends it a request it run a BEx wkbk, which the BW then can email to users.
The precalc server is a Windows Service. You can install it locally on your desktop, or it can be installed on a windows server. There is a little config that needs to be done. The How To Troubleshoot Information Broadcasting link in the other resposne will provide all the steps. You should obtain the most current version of the software from SAP.
You'll need a precalc server for each BW system in your landscape that you want to broadcast BEx wkbks from, so if you have Dev and QA systems, you'll need precalcs for them as well.

ITunes update server could not be contacted error!! HELP!! :)

ok.. I have the exact same issue as everyone else does.. My internet connection is fine.. I am able to browse the internet.. go into the itunes store in itunes.. download music.. Stream video previews.. but I just dont get how or why itunes can not be contacted I have tried:
- Flushing my DNS.. over and over...
- Going into internet options, Selected and Enabled automatically detect network settings and clicking OK, and OK
- Samething as top but Deselecting auto find network settings.. clicking OK, then OK, Then going back in and Selecting Automatically detect and OK, OK..
- Reinstalling itunes
- Restarted the workstation over and over..
- Disabling/enabling the network card..
- reset the network card.
- ipconfig renew and release.
- I dont have any firewall or antivirus installed other then the windows firewall which is disabled in the management consoled.
- Added the following in the dns, router, and everywhere that could be a possibility.
a. www.apple.com.akadns.net
b. a227.da1.akamai.com
c. confused: phobos.apple.com
ok.. is there anyone out there who is having the same problem?? or found a solution to this? been seraching for weeks on already.. thanks

Confirming this problem on xp (error msg: The Apple Software update server could not be found. Check your Internet settings and try again.) with Apple Software Update version 2.1.1.116
Tried the auto-LAN settings in TS1814 with no change. The software update product worked fine over the past 6+ months and just started flailing in the last month.

RIO server could not be found on the specified remote system

When trying to add a cRIO9074 to an empty project, I get the following message:
The RIO server could not be found on the specified remote system. Ensure that NI-RIO software is installed and that the RIO server is running and properly configured.
But when installing software from MAX I cannot find anything called NI-RIO. I am using LabVIEW 2012 + Realtime 2012.
As a result of this, I can't see the modules in the project window. However, I can deploy code to the cRIO that doesn't use any input or output.

I am getting the same message, I am using NI sb-RIO 9611. Using LabVIEW 13, NI RIO 13, RIo Device driver (most recent), Configured the IP of the device from NI MAX, Installed the software in the remote target.

Crystal Report Pick List - "Table ADM1 could not be found" Error

Hi,
When preview is select in sales order, we select pick list gets error.
Crystal Report Window Forms Viewer:
"Table ADM1 could not be found"
Error in File Temp { .........} .rpt
The table could not be found"
If I login remotely , then log into SAP as this user I do not get an error.
I have given user full authorisation.
I have run Verify Database.
I am assuming it is some database or network user access rights.
Could anyone help on this?

Report was developed and tested against a 'test' database and then imported into a 'production' database.
Problem appears to be that when B1 connects it does not reset the login credentials for the unlinked tables such as ADM1 and OADM.
Performing the following steps appears to solve the problem. Not sure how many of them are really necessary.
1. Develop and test against the test system as before.
2. Save as a .rpt file outside B1.
3. 'Set Datasource Location' to the appropriate B1 datasource for the production database and individually link every table as well as the data source.
4. Save the .rpt file again.
5. Import into the production database.
This does not specifically address the issue where it worked when logged in to the server but not remotely. Perhaps when logged in remotely the test database was not visible but when logged in locally it was.

How to resolve "The specified Server could not be found" issue

I reinstalled my Mac OS X. (Format and and install)
Installation was successful but i can't connect to the world(Internet.)
Whenever i start Internet explorer it will prompt me "The specified Server could not be found"
MY current Settings:
Configure: Built-in Ethernet
TCP/IP: Configure Using DHCP, the reset setting are blank.
I'm using Cable modem (Starhub - Singapore Internet Services provider) and connect to a router & from router i used LAN cable connect G4 Ethernet port.
Any1 can give me a hand to resolve this issue, please.
On About this Mac it shown I'm using Mac OS X build 4K78

Can you connect to ANYTHING at all on your network ???
If you get the message that the server could not be found you should wait for a few minutes until the diagnostics launches automatically with the FIVE yellow, green or red balls to indicate ISP, Ethernet & other status reports...

I keep getting the "some items could not be found" error.

I keep getting the some items could not be found error for some podcasts I downloaded then deleted. Unfortunately, now, I can't get rid of the error message. So I'm trying to search for said podcast to re-delete the entry. And it's not there. And I can't find it anywhere else. How can I fix this?

Another user named Springbk posted a fix that worked for me as I was having the same problem today:
I Changed my DNS settings to OpenDNS
On a Mac go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES>NETWORK>ADVACED>DNS
change DNS by adding ( + )
208.67.222.222
then
208.67.220.220
click okay/apply after. then try the update. after the update, just delete the two open DNS server numbers. should revert back to your old one.

I have problem with one application. She run with Oracle DB. I installed Win2008R2 x64 and Oracle DB 32bit on the same server. I tried connect to DB via Oracle SQL Developer and SQL Plus and both run without problem, but when I insert the same parameters into application OpenText Content Server 10, then I see this Error:

[Error: The server could not be found on the network. ----> Error stack ----> 1) E675414020:The server could not be found on the network.:ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified ]
This application need only 3 parameters (System User Name, password and service name). I compare it with ORA files (listener, sqlnet and tnsnames) and I think that all is right. Here are this three files

I am getting "The attempted operation failed. An object could not be found" error when I double click on an .ics file to an appointment to my calender. My outlook.com account's data file is set as default and this error only occurs if
that is the default data file. I thought that maybe my profile is corrupted. So, I opened up a new profile with the below steps and only add my outlook.com account there:
1-) Open up the Control Panel and go to Mail section
2-) Click "Show Profiles"
3-) Click "Add" and give a name to your profile.
4-) Configure your outlook.com account (with Auto Account setup, not manual steps)
5-) Finally, set that profile to be used always.
Then, I opened up the Outlook 2013 and clicked on the .ics file to add that appointment but got the same error.
Is this a known issue or specific to me?

The workaround of saving the ICS file and then importing it into the current calendar
works,
but the ICS calendar
displays in other section, NOT in the section of my old events.

If you're still around I hope you see this message, as you're the FIRST person (after reading every link, thread, other sites, apple support articles, etc.) to mention JB may be causing this iTunes popup window to REPEATEDLY occur:
"The iPhone software update server could not be contacted."
No, I did not hack anything (are you kidding? Grannies don't hack!), but I unknowingly bought a 3Gs iOS 3.1 from ebay that was not advertised as JB. Since it is like brand new, I was going to keep it (because my old backup is iOS 3.1.2) & was trying to simply restore & update, which (I thought) would remove the JB (that's what everybody says at forums, etc).
Instead, after "erasing all settings/content" (inside phone's Settings to get the prior person's name out of there), it is now stuck in White Apple Mode.
Put it in DFU/Recovery Mode & connect to iTunes but that stupid above message keeps appearing & I have already read/tried EVERYTHING to get rid of that message, starting with:
1. OLD phones (3Gs) with OLD iOS 3.1+ should work FINE with OLD Mac (iBook) with OLD OSX (Tiger 10.4.11) with OLD iTunes (9.2.1[5]). So that can't be the problem.
Here's all the other things apple & others say to check which I already checked:
2. USB ports are FINE, both work FINE, so that's not the problem.
3. No "extra USB devices" are connected, ONLY a mouse, & then the phone (yes, I tried it w/o the mouse connected but that didn't help).
4. No "usb hubs."
5. Latest iTunes for this OSX has already been DL'd (iTunes 9.2.1[5]). If you know of a newer one for this OSX, please advise.
6. No antivirus software.
7. No security software.
8. No routers; only 1 comcast modem, period. Wired Ethernet.
9. No wifi gadgets, no wifi at all.
10. No firewalls, except what is on iBook in the SHARING/System-Prefs. section. It's turned OFF.
11. Did the hosts/terminal thing sudo nano whatever it was. There were only 3 lines, NO gs.apple.com:
xxxxx local host
xxxxx broadcast host
xxxx local host
Oh, & btw, ATT officially unlocked this phone (after I filled out their online forms) but I can't finish the process via iTunes to get their Confirmation that "Device is Now Unlocked," so I can use T-Mo.
So that's it. If you have any other ideas of what to do from here, since from your comment, maybe it's the stupid JB on this phone that is causing the problem (???), please advise.

Is it a fault on my end or is it Apple which are still having problems and have disconnected their servers until it's fixed?

I have been trying to update my ipad 2 to ios5 "All" day with no luck. I will connect my ipad 2 to my mac, it brings up itunes and tells me there is an update, i click the download and update button, and when it gets to to "Contacting ipad update server, it just keeps trying to contact the server. it gives me no error, no matter how long i let it do its thing. i have tried rebooting mac/ipad, and trying over and over again to download, but i cant get past that "Contacting ipad update server." anyone else having this same issue? it seems most people at least are getting somewhat further than this..
