Transfer photos from one imac to another without using the cloud or photostream.

Hi,
I've got 4,389 photos in my iphoto library on my new imac. Most of them are personal but a few maybe 500 are from my work. I need to get the personal photos safely out of this iphoto library permanently and onto my old (now personal) computer.
How can I do that without using the cloud or photostream? I've tried using these things in the past and I simpl can't understand them. I got into an awful mess with them and completely confused. I would prefer to just put the photos I want to transfer onto a USB stick or external hard drive and transfer them that way. The problem is I can't understand how to do that!!! I've no problem transferring other files in this manner I just can't figure out how to do it in iphoto.
I'd really appreciate it if someone could explain this in a simple way to me.

Ctrl+Shift+B will open the show all bookmarks window
and on the top of that it has an import/export menu using this you can export all your bookmarks into a file either as html or as a json
you can then do the reverse on another PC

Besides, you don't hold down cmd/apple+"T" on the target computer - just the "T" key.

I copied the iPhoto Library to a CD and from there to the new MacBook
If you copied the library to the CD via the Finder it would be no different than the methods Terence suggested. If you used the Share ➙ Burn menu option from inside iDVD you'll get a mini library that has to be accessed from the open library and the events/alubums copied into the destination library. Not the same as the other methods.
The Share ➙ Burn method is no longer supported with iPhoto 9 and later.

I can give you a few ways to so:
First (and my favorite way) is the one said above. First, on the computer with the photos on it, you have to do is turn on file sharing (go to system preferences, sharing, file sharing) and have both computers on the same network. Second, have the computers you want the photos on, and launch finder. On the sidebar, there should be a "sharing" category, and below it should be the computer with the photos on it. Click on it, and you will be prompted for the computer username and password. It will then show all of the files on your computer. Then, just find the files, copy them (command-C) and paste them to where you want them! (If this confuses you, I can upload a video step-by-step on how to do this).
My second way is to use air drop. To start, Both computers must be on the same network. Then, on the computer with the photos on it select all of the photos you want to send to the other computer (you can select many photos by holding the command key and clicking on photos), right-click (control-click) on the selected photos, find the button share, and click air drop. On the computer you want the photos on, go to air drop on the side bar. You should see the name of the computer on the radar-looking screen. Click your computer. I don't think you can directly transfer pictures from your iPad to an SD card using the photo kit. If you have Windows PC (with USB port), connect it to you iPad using the Apple Dock Connector to USB Cable. After connecting, open Windows Explorer on your PC and you'll notice that one of the icons is your iPad (as an external drive). Click on the iPad icon, then Internal Storage, then DCIM. Once you open the DCIM folder, youll see a bunch of folders in it (just like the one below) - that's were your pictures are stored. You can copy and paste these folders (or the files inside them) to you PC or if your PC has an SD Card slot (with card in it), you can copy them there as well.

I need to transfer data from one database to another database (both are identical databases).
1. Not transferring identity columns (primary keys). the destination table might have the same key.
2. keep the PK's and FK's relation b/w parent and child table
3. I have 4 levels
Example: tableA (col1 int identity(1,1) , col2, col3)
tableB (col1 int identity(1,1) ,
col2 , col3) -- col2 has the foreign key relation with tableA.col1
tableC (col1 int identity(1,1) ,
col2, col3) -- col2 has the foreign key relation with tableB.col1
