Transferring Ipad videos (home not purchased) to PC ?

How do i upload my home videos from my ipad to my PC ( windows vista) ? When I transfer my photos from the ipad using Windows photo gallery they all show up but the videos dont or dont play.
I asked in the Apple store and he said to use itunes to go into my ipad and manually transfer the videos across but I cannot see how to do this.
It doesnt seem obvious how to do it - which I find strange as its such a basic thing to want to save your home videos.

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

Can I transfer music that is only on my iPad that WAS NOT purchased from iTunes to my iTunes account on new computer?

I've had my iPad 2 for about four years now and I can tell that the interface is being very slow and that the screen does not always react when I tap on it, meaning I may have to get a new one sooner or later.
My biggest problem is that on my iPad, I have all of the Beatles' CDs, some of which are from my own personal copies and some are from my former local public library. Ever Since I copied all these CDs onto my iPad, I've moved to a new state and got a new laptop, thus starting with an iTunes account that only has music I purchased from the iTunes Store on it, and no Beatles. The local libraries where I live now do not offer any CDs for borrowing, so I have no way of getting some of the CDs I don't own for free. I really do not want to purchase a bunch of albums from iTunes, as well.
Is there any way to get the Beatles music that is only on my iPad that was not purchased from iTunes onto my iTunes account without removing it from my iPad? Thanks for your help!

IPad Video app not sorting correctly

Long time reader, first time poster - but I cannot seem to find a resolution to my issue, I fail to see how this issue could go unresolved for as long as I have had it;
The iPad video App when streaming from a home shared iTunes account does not sort TV shows as per the TV Show / Season / Episode attributes in the metadata. Is there a fix for this other than re-entering the metadata to the Artist attribute - I have a moderately sized library and this would consume my attention for far too long, not to mention its double handling!!!
Surely the introduction of a sort function on iOS devices and Apple TV is not too much to expect.

Actually there is a fix, that I found from another thread. Plug in yor device to the computer as it's faster. Un synch all your music from the iPad, which will remove it from the Pad. When that's done, turn the music synch back on, putting your tunes back on the device.
The music library is corrupted and this will fix that. A regular synch will not work.

IPAD video files not transferring to hardrive

Hi there. I've filmed just a few minutes over an hour of video on my Ipad, and i tried putting it onto an external hardrive which definitely has enough space on for the videos (it has over 450GB free, and my videos are only 7GB each) yet it still tells me there is no space?? I don't understand why! Somebody help me! I need to get the videos onto a blank dvd but worried the same thing will just happen!

try connecting your iPad to a computer. You don't need to open iTunes. (unless you normally sync with a computer, in that case connect it to your syncing computer)
THe iPad can be seen as a just a digital camera, which is what you're trying to do. So connect it to a computer and see if under 'my computer' you can see it. If so click down through it to get to the DCIM folder which is where that video should be. You can then drag it off.
If you have a mac things are a bit different
Something else you could try is to upload it to a service like dropbox (not sure about it handling 7 gig tho) and then download it from dropbox to your computer where you can make a disc.

IPad video interface not working

The built in video app (to watch movies and TV shows bought on iTunes) hasn't been working right on my iPad mini. The buttons on the bottom that are used to pause or rewind don't respond half of the time when I tap them. It makes the screen zoom in instead (like when you double tap on the normal screen) like it's not registering that the interface is open, the rewind button only responds to my touch about 1 in every 10 attempts, plus it requires ridiculous level of precision just to make it work those few times that it does. My finger needs to be on it basically by the centimeter for it to tell that's what I want to do. Is there any way I can fix this or is this a program issue on apple's end? This only applies to the built in video app, other video apps such as youtube or netflix work fine.

Try the most basic troubleshooting steps first. Close the Videos App completely, reset your iPad and then try again. No data is lost with this reset. It is like rebooting your computer.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Why aren't my songs previously accessible on my I/Pad 2/iPhone 4s devices in "Music" appearing in faint print & graphics no longer accessible? I had downloaded them into iTunes on my PC and previously synced them. Suddenly after recent syncing they were inaccessible. Why? (I previously downloaded an IOS_5 platform to my PC to use iCloud. I too am having this problem. Its really frustrating. In fact i have my setting to have all music on my phone however the phone displays I have 2986 and the itunes reads 2987. I'm one off on this area. In addition some of my purchased music does not show in my purchased list on the phone. It does show on the itunes account on the computer and in the overall albums just not in the purchased. I drug the purchased song from the albums to the purchased playlist and tried to have it re-sync... did not work.. I tryed re-booting the phone, and restoring from back up all failed.
Another problem I have found since the IOS7 updates is the phone doesn't keep my music where it was when I get out of my car. I used to love that I would get out of the car in the middle of my playlist go in the store come out and it would pick up right where it left off. Now I get back in the car and it begins playing random music of all my entire library. I love all my music however I don't want to listen to Christmas and Halloween music all the time. I don't want to remove these from the phone as I want them always available. I just want the function to go back to how it was.
Oh and the last thing, sometimes when I turn my phone sideways and am listening to music the collage of albums shows but freezes so I cant turn the phone back and change the music. I like having the capablility of turning the phone to see pictures and things auto turn but not this collage of albums if it's gonna delay me swictching or skipping songs.
Any ideas for these issues? Is apple aware and working on these?

My ipad video is not working.

I was trying to take a movie with it and it wouldn't switch from photo to video. I also tried Skype to see if the video function would work and it didn't.
How can I fix this?

IPad videos will not play on Quicktime on my PC, the screen is black but there is sound. Any ideas?

I recorded videos on my ipad and wanted to edit on Quicktime Pro on windows, but all I have is sound no picture. The Quicktime software is is udated 7.7.2 & my Ipad is the latest version with ios6. I could play the videos on the iPad, obviously, but cannot see them on PC. I run Windows 7.

Disable Direct3D acceleration in the player you are using.
If you use VLC media player, Go to preferences, Video, And under output, change from default to "Direct 2D video output"
If you use Quicktime, Downgrade to Quicktime 7.6 or upgrade to quicktime 7.7.3 and Go to
Edit --> Preferences -->Quicktime preferences.
Under that, go to advanced tab, and uncheck "Enable Direct3d acceleration" (3'rd box)

I have swapped my itunes to a new laptop instead of my poor old PC, however less than half of the albums have transferred. They were not purchased on itunes

Click on Purchase and iTunes will tell you that you jhave already purchased then and ask if you want to redownload them (for free).

I can not purchase the same apps as my friend purchased using his ID on my ipad

My ipad was borrowed by my friend, then he signed in to the itunes using his ID and purchased some apps on my ipad.
But now i have signed back using my ID in itunes on my ipad.
The problem is now using my ipad i can not purchase the same apps that he already purchased using his account.
On the itunes store showing as if i have purchased the apps then a pop up message said
"UPDATE IS unvailable with this apple ID
This update is downloaded with a different apple ID. Sign in with that apple ID and try again."
I have reset my ipad and i also have reset all setting in the setting options but it still doesnt help a bit

Is the app currently on your iPad ? If it is then delete it. Then try a soft-reset (i.e. reboot) : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear (you won't lose any content).
After the iPad has restarted if you then go into the App Store app are you able to buy and download it with your account ?

I exported a slideshow from iphoto to quicktime with the following settings:
1) Export: Custom Export: Movie to Quicktime
Kind: Quicktime movie file Channels:stereo
size: 200.2 MB Total Bit Rate: 8268 kbps
Bit Rate: 1378 bps Video Dimensions: 1280x720
Video Codec: H.264
It exports to iTunes, but does not sync to the ipad (video format not supported)
What is the best setting so I can get the highest quality?

In looking at the videos that I have, all of which work on my iPad, the ones which I purchased through the iTunes Store are Low Complexity with bit rates of 128 kbps. The ones that I converted by HandBrake for iOS devices are Low Complexity and 159 kbps. All of them are around 850 x 480, H.264.

Highlight the movie, go to iTunes menu ADVANCED and select create iPad and AppleTV version.
