You can redownload most iTunes purchases directly to the iPod by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise you will have to sync from your iTunes library.

  • Help transfering my music from my Iphone 4s to my I tunes.

Thanks for letting me know because i've tried everything to transfer my music from my I phone4s to my itunes. Can you give me the names of some good 3rd party apps that will allow me to do this?

i think if you're logged into itunes and your phone with the same account, it will ask you to transfer music from your phone to itunes if the media's not already in iTunes' library.

  • Transfering my music from my Iphone to the new Itunes on my new mac

if I want to syncronise, since Itunes is empty and my Iphone is loaded with misic, I guess everything on my Iphone will go away
I guess there is a way to load what I have on my phone on Itunes but I can not find any help

You need to make sure your computer is authorized: Store>Authorize this Computer. Once done, you can transfer purchased content(DO NOT SYNC): File>Transfer Purchases. For music ripped on your own, you'll have to use third-party software to first extract from your phone:

I have a similar problem.  I recieved an IPAD for my birthday, and my daughter updated my itunes library so i can use it with the ipad...and somehow all my songs (unpurchased from itunes, and downloaded  from a large collection of CDs) ...and play lists were deleted.   I still have them on my old ipod, and wonder how to get them back onto my computer so I can redistribute some of them to the ipad.  I must be getting too old for this tech stuff, it gets less user friendly every year.

  • When I got my iPhone 4S and transferred my music from iTunes, some songs didn't transfer, some transferred partially. Any help? Thanks.

When I got my iPhone 4S and transferred my music from iTunes, some songs transferred, some didn't, some only partially. Any help? Thanks.

If you're having trouble syncing your music and you're syncing music automatically (not manually) check the following items:
On the summary tab of your iTunes sync settings you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos"
In your music library you have checked all the songs you want to sync to your phone
There are no exclamation points next to any of the songs you want to sync to your phone
You have authorized your computer for all Apple IDs for purchased music you want to sync to your phone (in Store>Authorize This Computer)
You have checked "Sync Music" on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings
When everything above is correct sync your phone and your music should transfer.

Or you can use a third-party utility such as Phone to Mac - Pod to Mac.

  • How do I move music from one iPhone to another?

All my music is stored on my iPhone 3G; the computer with it stored on it in iTunes crashed & I can't get the music off.  I'd like to move the music from my iPhone 3G to my new iPhone 4, but I can't figure out how to do it.

Photos in the Camera Roll are included with the iPhone's backup. You can transfer the backup from one iPhone to another which will include all data included with the backup.
Photos and videos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your computer. After importing from one iPhone, the photos can be transferred to another iPhone via the iTunes sync process.
Photos in the PhotoStream on one iPhone running iOS 6 can be made available on another iPhone running iOS 6 by creating a shared PhotoStream album, or if the same iCloud account is accessed on both iPhones, the PhotoStream album will be identical on each iPhone.

  • Can i share music from one iphone to another iphone

can i share files or music from one iphone to another iphone?

Copyright breach with Apple transfering multiple copies to multiple users not permitted.
Each device is specifically paired with a laptop or Apple stand alone computer.
But try to synch both devices separately with the same music library in Apple music media folder??
Only acheivable with itunes and apple products as well. see how it goes.

I have over 1000 songs on my iphone and want to back it up on my mac itunes
Want to upgrade my iphone and dont want to loose my music and ideally want to import it onto my new iphone

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss.  To use a device with a new computer you transfer the content from the old computer (or its backup) directly to the new computer, not the device to the new computer. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only purchases from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software.  See this document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

  • Can you transfer music from an iPhone to iTunes?

i was just wondering if there is a way to get my music from my iPhone onto my iTunes on my Mac. my dell had a bad virus, so i gave it to a relative of mine to reinstall everything, and i told him to backup my itunes(which he forgot to do). so now i have a blank dell, a new mac, and all my music on my iPhone. Again, any way to transfer em? Thanks!
P.S. they all aren't purchased songs, they are mostly from CDs that i lent my friends(most of which they lost) and those that i did buy were transfered from my account.

iTunes will only let you copy your purchases directly from an iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
For everything else (including purchases) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod Touch or iPhone. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer data (such as playcounts and ratings), movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well.
