Transferring payments between different systems

Our Client has SAP CR&B and Oracle Financials.
SAP CR&B and Oracle use different Bank Accounts.
How do other clients handle scenarios where they have move dollars between different systems?
For example:
A customer has a receivable of 100 dollars in SAP CR&B and another receivable of 900 dollars in Oracle A/R.
Customer sends a payment for 1000 dollars which gets posted in SAP and also funded in the bank account.  There is a credit of 900 on the customer account in sap.
We need to move the 900 dollars from SAP to Oracle system.  Client wants to reverse the 1000 dollar payment posting and make a new payment posting for 100 dollars in SAP system.
If we make this new posting of 100 dollars - the bank clearing a/c will be off balance because we cant make the corresponding funding posting to the bank a/c since the money is already realized in the bank.

Hi,
I dont know if any physical connection is possible b/w your two systems-SAP CR&B and Oracle Financials.
However, what you can do is, you can move the total amount of say $1000 to the payment clarification worklist in SAP.
Then from there you can allocate the amount pertaining to the customer in SAP, say $100 to the customer account.
The remaining $900 you can move to a suspense account., and then post a misc dr to offset the same using a particular set of main\sub pertaining to a GL a/c-Payments-Oracle Financials in SAP.
In oracle, you can post a misc cr against the same GL A/c of $900 and allocate it against the  customer's account.
At the end of the day, when you reconcile, entries in GL A/c in SAP should exaclty offset the entries of the GL A/c in Oracle.
Hope it helps....
Thanks,
Amlan

it is a good practise to use ccBPM in this case and it is offering correlation mechanism to maintain the reaction between messages so that you can easily differentiate and suppress the unwanted messages.

    hello

    i don't know how,such as following scinario:

but i don't know how i can transfer the xml files between the two applications
that is written in different languages? can i use http protocol?
    thanks for any helps!

Yes, you can use the HTTP protocol as a transport for the XML message, this
is basically what the HTTP binding for SOAP does. The key is using a
packaging mechanism that different applications will understand, otherwise
only your own applications will know how to extract and process the XML
    messages you send between them.

  • Object Comparison between different systems

    Hi to all,
any of you have made a program to compare object/object versions between diferent systems (with RFCs).
Can you tell me wich Function Models and tableshave you used.
I found a very usefull Function Model SVRS_GET_VERSION_DIRECTORY_46 very usefull for my purpose but i depared myself with a strange problem. The table VRSD used in this FM have all the Objects in the System but when i tried to transport a request between 2 diferent Systems no new entry was added to VRSD in the target system so SVRS_GET_VERSION_DIRECTORY_46 is no usefull.
Any one knows if there is any customizing relative to this table or any process to catch this transported objects in the target System?
There is one entry in E070 but here thre is no reference for Object versions.
Many thanks and any help will be very Helpfull.
    Thanks In advance

    Hi Pedro,
Can you let me know which object you are comparing? Were you not able to do remote comparision for that object?

  • Copy Transport Request (customizing-workbench) between different systems

    Hello guys !
    I have a question.
I can copy transport request of customizing and workbench from ECC 6.0 system to another ECC 6.0, with the same levels of support packages and patch realease, but one of the systems in Windows and another in AIX?. The database is the same: oracle.
    Thanks guys!!!

    Hi Dcardena,
You can very well copy the request. Different OS platforms won't make any difference.

  • Transport Mailboxes between different systems

    Hi,
I've recently been in a situation where I had to transport 35 mailboxes from one GW7 system to another GW7 system (2 seperate networks). The way we did this was by archiving each of the mailboxes in the first system, renamed the fid and restore in the mailboxes created in the new system.
Besides that this was a very time consuming and tedious procedure, especially with some large mailboxes involved, we also encountered situations where archives were corrupted for some reason.
I expected that such 'migration' would be far easier then one from for example Exchange to GroupWise, but after this experience give me the latter anytime!
Did I overlook something and IS there a much easier and less risky method of performing such migration?
I expect to have a couple more of these migrations coming up, so any suggestions are welcome.
    Regards,
    Eduard

  • Backup and Restore between different systems

    ALCON:
I am considering to get a new desktop Mac soon, and currently my only Mac is my MacBook Pro 17", which I use daily.
One of the things that I hope to accomplish (though not the reason for the purchase) is to freshen my configuration by installing all my applications and moving my data to the new machine so as it get it more organized. Once this is accomplished, what architectural or other issues would I run into if I made a full Time Machine backup of say an iMac, and then tried to restore it to a MacBook Pro so I had a duplicate of my new configuration/installation on the MacBook Pro then?

    Baltwo:
Hey no problem on the mixup concerning my intentions.
I am not sure I follow your English exactly, but "f you migrate from the old on initial boot with the new one, none of that stuff won't transfer. " means using Setup Assistant on the new Mac Pro to migrate from the MBP, exactly what "none of that stuff won't transfer"?
    1) If I migrate from MBP to Mac Pro, will it migrate my applications or just my data?
(bear in mind, both are Intel systems, and both will be running the same version of MacOS)
    2) The /Library directory has more than just cache files, it has many other things in it, for example I have seen customer's systems where they had Adobe help files in their from versions of Adobe software they had long since uninstalled. To what extent does the /Library and other such (local user libraries too) get migrated?
    3) You have given me another idea, which is that once I get the Mac Pro properly setup, why not just do the reverse? Install a fresh MacOS onto the MBP, and pretend I am "migrating back" (from Mac Pro to MBP) using Setup Assistant? Let Apple's software worry about making it work, ay?!!
Thanks again, I shall do some more research but you have given me some food for though, and some good ideas too with regard to how to leverage Setup Assistant to my advantage more fully.

  • HT201269 About transferring data between different devices, is it possible to swap memory chips between iPhone 5s's without losing any photos or info?

I have an iPhone 5s and shattered its screen. I backed up its data to iTunes and manually replaced the screen myself. When I try to turn on the phone, it doesn't turn on. When I plug it into an outlet, it just makes a noise every five seconds. I purchased a new iPhone 5s and I tried to restore the data, but I couldn't retrieve it, just settings. I had a ton of important photos and songs I wrote....gone. Is it possible to simply swap the memory chips (both 16G) without damaging either devices or losing any data? Someone help me please!

iPhones contain no user servicible parts.  IF you were to open the device, you would void any warranty associated, and Apple would no longer offer ANY service on the device (including out of warranty service).

  • AP- Why exchange rate type between Post invoice and Post payment is differe

AP- Why exchange rate type between Post invoice and Post payment is different ?
    Hello,
    I have question
when post AP invoice , document type KR
    document date = 11.12.2009
    posting date = 31.12.2009
    entry date = 05.01.2010
this document using exchange rate type B (standard translation at bank selling rate) on 31.12.2009 (use posting date )
but when post payment for above document, document type ZP
    document date = 25.06.2010
    posting date = 25.06.2010
    entry date = 24.06.2010
this document using exchange rate type M (standard translation at average rate) on 23.06.2010
    please answer
why do post invoice and post payment use different exchange rate type?
and why at payment donot use posting date for get exchange rate ?

    Nanas,
Sorry if im not  being clear...
My point is: the difference rates customization for payments is done at FBZP.
At Paying Company Codes, you have 4 flags for exchange rates differentes.
    At Control Data look:
*Do not Post any Exchange Rate Differences:
If the indicator is not set, the difference between the exchange rate at the time of posting and the exchange rate at the time of payment is determined for items which are posted in foreign currency. The payment program uses the translation rate in the currency table in the system for this purpose.
*No Exchange Rate Differences for Partial Payments:
Has the effect that the payment program for partial payments (requests for payment using transaction F-59) does not post exchange rate differences.
*Processing of Bill of Exchange Payments:
*Separate Payment for each Payment Reference

  • Payment terms different between sales docs

    Hi Gurus.
Why do I have payment terms different between sales doc and billing doc for the same customer?
Detail: the sd and company code vision has the same value in customer master data (xd03, vd03).
    Thanks in advance!
    Renato

    Dear Renato
Go to VA02, input the sale order and execute.  There click on Environment from top menu bar followed by changes.  You would find four options to choose.  Select
    -  Additional info and
    -  Time of Change
This would give you who have changed the datas related to that sale order.
    thanks

  • Client copy between different operating systems.

    Hi Experts,
Our production system is running on HP-UX OS. We are installing a standby quality system and planning to do a client copy to this system from production by taking this into transport domain. But this new system is in windows. So, is it possible to perform a client copy where the source system is HP -UX and target system is windows??
    Regards,
    Amit.

    Hi Amit,
Follow SAP Note 552711 for client copy. Refer to qns no 4 & 5, which is relevant for your question.
Can I create client copies in a heterogeneous system landscape?
Remote copies or client transports can also be carried out between different database and operating systems.
    Regards,
    Debasis.

  • Massive copy of BW transformation between different source system

    Hi all,
in my BW I have different source systems. I have mapped several objects to one source system.
Now I need to copy all the transformation to other source systems. These source system are different instance of ECCs, there are the same extractor in all the systems.
I can't use the BDLS becouse these move the transformations between the system not copy it.
I try to create a Transport and using the Conversion of Logical System Names but this change only the objects with source sytems dependencies, it don't change the technical name of transformation, and do not create a tranformation to the new system but overwrite the existing one.
Do you know if there are some program or some procedure to copy transformation between sourcesystem in BW?
    Thanks in advance
    Mario

    Hi,
you can do a Retrofit (System copy), Generally, retrofit happens between two different BW systems.
check with your basis team if the retrofit is possible with in the same BW system but for different clients.
Note : System copy will overwrite all the objects.

  • What's different between busniess system and technical system in SLD?

I can enter product(ect.ERP r/3) , components(ect.FI-CO module) to technical system , then enter technical system to busniess system  but ,who can explain  what's different between busniess system and technical system in SLD, exactly?
    THANKS!

Technical Systems are of following types:
Technical systems are application systems that are installed in your system landscape. An example of an application system is a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) server. In the SLD, there are five types of technical systems:
    1.)WEBas java,
    2.)Standalone JAVA
    3.)Third party
    4.)Web as ABAP
    1) Web AS Java
Web AS Java systems consist of one or more instances and each instance is installed on a separate host. An instance itself consists of cluster nodes that can communicate with each other.
    2.)Standalone Java
Standalone Java technical systems are standalone Java applications that are installed in a computer system from an administration perspective. They can also be installed as an operating system service or as a daemon
Web AS java belongs to the NetWeaver Comes with both ABAP and Java, Standalone instread comes separate from the netWeaver.
    3) Third party technical sytem
It can be any of the technical sytem. let us say if you want to send a file to R/3, here the file reside in your local system. for that you can define your local system as a third party technical system.
All those machines that comes under non sap, belongs to the third party.
4.) Web AS ABAP technical systems, ranging from any SAP system to an APO server or CRM server, are based on the same Basis Component (BC), which includes the ABAP interpreter, ABAP Dictionary, ABAP Workbench, and so on. A dedicated database, which stores most of the data of the BC and the application components, is associated with the system.
    Also refer : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/24/8fa93e08503614e10000000a114084/content.htm
Business systems are logical systems, which function as senders or receivers within XI. Business systems can be SAP systems or third-party systems.
Depending on the associated technical system, the following types of business systems are defined in the SLD:
    · Web AS ABAP
A business system, which is associated with a Web AS ABAP.
A business system, which is associated with a Web AS ABAP, can play the role either of an application system or an integration server. An integration server is the central component of XI, which provides a framework for the exchange of information among various internal and external entities of a company. The integration server facilitates the interaction between the different operating systems and applications across internal and external networks.
    · Web AS Java
A business system, which is associated with a Web AS Java.
    · Standalone
A business system, which is associated with a standalone Java application.
    · Third-party
A business system, which is associated with a third-party technical system.

  • Cloning use the different gcc version between source system and target sys

    Hi All,
Our system is: Application tier and Database tier is split to two servers.
We should run a cloning, but I found the different gcc version on application tier on source system and target system.
The source application tier server is RedHat Linux ES3, gcc version is 3.2.3
The target application tier server is RedHat Linux ES3, gcc version is 2.9.6
There is the same gcc version on database tier on source system and target system, they are gcc 2.9.6.
My question: Can I use the different gcc version between source system and target system when I run an erp cloning?
    Thanks & Regards
    Owen

Not necessarily, you might get some errors if the version is higher and it is not supported by the OS. An example is Note: 392311.1 - usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/3.4.5/libgcc_s.so: undefined reference to 'dl_iterate_phdr@GLIBC_2.2.4'
To be on the safe side, make sure you have the same version (unless you want to give it a try).

  • Why different systems between Japan and other SEA region?

    Hello
Just curious that why people maintain seperate systems for Asia (excluding SEA and JP), Japan, SEA (South East Asia), even though now all is unicode enabled?
Still, why again different systems between Japan (dedicated) and other SEA countires? (where in the Font is same)
I dont think its because of volume of business, dynamic changes in the business/governament policies!!
    Thank you

    Hi MSRaju_ABAP,
sometimes there may be security reasons.
But mostly these are management decisions which are not always as comprehensible as we hope.
I worked in a company with two system for the same business, one for back end purposes, one for customer interaction. Both machines were busy all day and night synchronizing their data
