Translation problem in prrgram SAPMV56A

Hi,
I added one new TAB to the HEADER_TABSTRIP1 of screen 1020 for in program SAPMV56A and works fined with the exception that ne original tabs does not longuer display in english. I mean the names of the orginal tabs appear now in German. I have manteined the screen in the original language DE.
My new tabs come in english but not the original tabs.
Any ideas?

Translation Problem in app Map

Hi, there is a translation problem in the new app Map. The Hong Kong City Hall is a place to perform art like dancing and drama, and its name in traditional Chinese is 香港大會堂.However, the map use a name of "中國香港特別行政區市政府" which means "China Hong Kong SAR government office" which is completly wrong polictically and logically. This is a very serious problem that Apple should fix ASAP in order to prevent users complaining on the simple mistake Apple just made.

Translation Problem – Region Disappearing

Translation Problem – Region Disappearing
I recently started working on translating my application to German. When I apply my xlif file I have a problem with the contents of all my report regions using Vertical Report Look 2 disappear.
The report region is still visible, however the report contents (corresponding to the report template) have completely disappeared.
When I switch back to English (setting FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERANCE) the report contents are once again visible.
I am using theme 7.

Dont worry about that last request, i have already fixed the problem.
If anyone else has this problem they can fix it by creating a custom report template with the following code:
Report template Before Rows:

Currency translation problem for calculated key figure

Hi All
I have a problem with the currency translation for a calculated key figure.
I have a requirement to show the MM consignment stock value in the specified currency from the selection screen.
For consignment stock, there is no value maintained in the system. So for this we need to calculate the value as below
Restricted key figure: RKFConsignment stock: Total stock with special stock indicator restriction "K"
Calculated keyfigure: Consignment stock value = Nodim( RKFConsignment stock) * (Standard cost / price unit).
Here, in the calculated keyfigure properties --> I have used a currency translation for the 0CALMONTH.
The query has selection on the 0calmonth.
But in the result the I am getting unexpected results.
Do we have any inconsistencies in the currency translation on the formulas?
Please help me on this.

Hi All
I have noticed something. I changed my query date selection to Calendar day - Keydate instead of calendar month.
And I have changed the currency variable to fixed exchange rate "CHF", it is working fine.
I think I have some problem with the currency translation variable.
Could anyone of you please send me the currency translation variable for Calendar month with the below parameters
exch rate type : M
Time reference : 0CALMONTH
End of month
Target currency for a variable : < var created on 0currency>
For my report, i need calendar month selection, currency selection.
Please help me with your ideas.

Translation Problem in Smartforms.

Dear Experts,
Facing a problem with the translations of the smart forms into the diff languages.
I have maintained the translations based upon the condition like below.
If Spras = 'E'. (English)
Text = 'Order'
else.
if spras = 'D'. (Germany )
Text = 'Bestellen'
if spras = 'N'. (Dutcj)
Text = Bestel.
The translations are working fine while with log in language as English ---Smart form original lang is also English......
But the problem arises with log in language as NL(Dutch)....i am just getting the forms output in english lang only...Can you please check the same.

Also check the form attributes / language attributes in the smartform and check if the INTO ALL LANGUAGES radio button is selected. And when you login into SAP in EN ( default ) language, it should automatically translate.

Translation problem in dialog program

in a dialog program, i have applied translation in Russia, now when i logon in English, there are 2 buttons which is still showing in Russian!!!
can anyone please help me about this strange problem?

Hello,
Check the translation for those two buttons.
If the orginal language is EN then it has to show in English only.
If the orginal language is Russian then check the translation properly.

Translation problem in the portal screen

Hi Experts,
We are facing problem in the portal screen where some texts are displaying in-correct languages.
Basically all the text should come in Chinese if we login in Chinese language, but it is coming in English
For e.g. In Follow on Documents screen u2013 Value (filed label) is coming in English instead of Chinese,
Similarly some Chinese text is wrongly translated.
Help us how to do the translation or should we need to apply any OSS notes for this?
Should we need to use translation SOTR_EDIT to do the translation?if then how to do it?

What is the SRM version ? Please also check the language setting in your browser.
For wrong translation, you can correct it in the translation tools like SE63.

Language translation problem

Hi,
I would like to set the language to be the browser language, but i am having problem translating to language other than German.
I have the .xlf file Test.wdview.xlf (US English as default/Project language) Test.wdview_de.xlf (German translation) and Test.wdview_fr.xlf (French translation)
If i set my browser language to be German, it picks up the correct translation, but when I change the browser language to French, I get the US text instead of frech translation.
I even tried to rename the suffix of the file to be fr-fr and fr_fr.
Any idea why that's happened?

There is a setting each user can make.
Transaction SBWP
Menu item Settings => Workflow settings => Personal settings
In the lower part you find the option (in English) "Display work item texts in logon language".
For translation, I've seen other solutions, but one that also works is to log in to the system in the language you want to translate to and just translate and save the text.

Use the transaction code SE63 to translate the workitem texts....

The header line should be traditional chinese character,but actually There are chaos in the header line . Did any one meet this problem?

Even i faced these types of problem while uploading data from Excel to SAP. But in my case it was resoleved by using higher version of Excel. There are some versions of excel 95 , 97 which create problem for unicode characters. I faced prblem with French characters.

Russian Translations problem with Translation Tool Package

Hello Everybody.
I'm doing some translations and whenever I try to paste a Russian text into one of the messages in TTP, the app transforms the Russian characters into question marks. For example:
Предупреждение: Контактное лицо X не имеет связи с Бизнес-Партнером Y. Но Активность будет сохранена.
TTP Transforms it into:
??????????????: ?????????? ???? X ?? ????? ????? ? ??????-????????? Y. ?? ?????????? ????? ?????????.
Did anyone come across with this problem?

It looks like Translation Tool Package does not support russian character set and that's why it is displaying as '?' which means character is not recognized by the application.
Are you able to type the russian text in a note pad?? If you can type and text is proper, Operarting System is able to recognize russian characters, and not the TTP.
If it displays '?' in the notepad also, it means OS is not able to identify the Russian character set. In this case, you need to install the russian character set in the machine.
Can you please provide which CRM mobile release you are currently using. In case if you are using CRM 5.0 or above, you can translate the texts using Mobile Application Studio itself.

PO Language translation problem

I have a problem in Shopping Cart approval.
1.After approvals of SC. Po has generated.
2.If I change the PO quantity
3.Mail was sent to the approver in English, but i want it in French.
I was getting the mails in all languages except in French.
How do i resolve this issue. Where can I get the language translations.
Can any body tell me the changing of 'work item text' in workflow task to other languages.

Translation problem: No language independent code..

I'm currently customizing an existing system with 2 different languages(English and French)
So far so good, but I get the following error message when I try to create a new Appointment or Task:
"No language independent code exists for the value 'En cours' and type 'EVENT_STATUS' with language 'ENG' in table 'S_LST_OF_VAL'. (SBL-DAT-00510)"
The field 'Status' is a read-only picklist with a default value 'En cours' in the french section of the system. I've translated the value of 'En cours' to 'On Going' for the english section, but I still receive the same error message..
Any tips how to solve this problem?

Translation problem

I am trying to translate an application from English to French and have been following the normal Translate Application process.
I downloaded the XLIFF file and made some translations into French then completed the stage 'Apply the Translation file (XLIFF)
and process' without a problem. I then went to Edit Attributes in Globalization and have tried various settings in 'Application
Language Defined From'. However the text I translated into French is still appearing in English.
Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

Reading your list of steps, it seems that you are taking the correct steps. However,

The ‘xml’ extension – is it a typo, or is it the real extension of your XLIFF file? All my APEX generated XLIFF files has the extension of ‘xlf’.

That’s OK. The translated application is not exactly an independent application, and as such it is not being listed by the Application Builder (although it will be appeared in the list of possible applications you can export).
Basically you should continue calling your original application – 46517 – and not the translated application. The APEX engine derived the application language, according to what you set in the “Application Language Derived From” field.
Simon Gadd suggestion, is one option to test your translated application, provided that your “Application Language Derived From” field is set to “Browser (use browser language preference)”. The “Application Primary Language” should be set to the primary language of your 46517 application – English (en) in your case.
Another option, if you don’t want to continuously change the primary language of your browser, is to use the “Item Preference (use item containing preference)” option. I’m using this option, where the item is a select list item, contains all the translated languages, as part of the login page. Internationalization Tutorial enumeration translation problems

Hello Experts,
I hope you can help me with a little but annoying problem:
I've done the Internationalization Tutorial. For all of you who remember it: therein one must define an enumeration of cars and places. Within the S2X Editor I edited the *.xlf files for the simple data types and replaced the texts with some real german car types.
But, when i run the app, the enumeration in the drop down boxes is not shown in german, but still in the english words as proposed in the tutorial. But all other words around, just like the caption und the labels are translated to german.
How to solve it with the enumeration?

Now as you have the properties file use the s2x editor i.e the editor for the .xlf which you'll find in the <com.sap.app.wd.languages > now you can create your own .xlf file and please rename file <old name>_<language key>.xlf .
for example language key for german is de.Now you can open it in the s2X editor.
Under the header tab select the language for which you have specified the key.
Now in the Resource text tab go and translate the resource text to the specified language.
