Translation process

hello,
This is my first post in this forum and i am new to htmldb.
i want to translate my application into italian but the problem i am facing
is how to translate the xliff file when i am trying to open the xliff file generated by
Oracle html db in xliff editor it is showing the following error:
The file is not well-formed xml document
error at line no 14:
Error message:Document is invalid:no grammar found
line no 14 is <xliff version="1.0">
please help me in this.
thanks in advance

  • General Ledger - Revaluation/Translation Process Question

    Application Release Version: 11.5.10.2
MRC: Not turned on for new entities. (See details below)
My customer has been using oracle from around 2001 and went through a process at the end of 2008 to setup a new chart of accounts and approx 6 different companies with multiple entities for each across different functional currencies. (The initial setup for these entities was done prior to my joining and I have no supporting documentation on what decisions were made and why.)
    Setup info:
Set of Books - 'Cumulative Translation Adjustment Account' defined as an 'Owners Equity Account'.
Revaluation - Gains and Loss accounts using the same account number as 'Cumulative Translation Adjustment Account'. Accounts being revalued are accounts that have outstanding Payables and Receivables balances as well
as our intercompany accounts that have outstanding balances. (Balances that need to be payed or received.)
    Question:
My question refers to the revaluation and translation process for the new entites that have a different functional currency from the reporting currency. (All under the same chart of accounts structure.)
For instance entity1 - Functional Currency = 'CAD' and has 'USD' transactions.
I understand that at the period end we need to revalue the 'USD' transactions to there 'Current' worth in 'CAD' as exchange rates will fluctuate. But shouldn't the 'Difference', revaluation amounts, be pushed to the Unrealised FX Gains/Loss account, not the 'Cumulative Translation Adjustment Account'. (I think this is normally only used when a company is using MRC?)
This obviously affects whether the period balance appears on the Balance Sheet or Income Statement report for the consolidated monthly report.
Also should these 'Revaluation' journals ever be reversed or just left to accumulate?
Then looking at the 'Translation' process, if value is pushed to the 'Cumulative Translation Adjustment Account' then the balance is translated based on the 'Average' period rate as the account is an 'Owners Equity Account', but this seems wrong for the 'Revaluation' balance to be converted at another rate?
Any help on this subject will be greatly appreciated.

Firstly, why would there be any difference between the total of customer/vendor sub-ledger balances and the balance on the reconciliation account(s)?  The posting to the reconciliation account is happening automatically right, when you are posting to a customer/vendor (basing on the reconciliation account assigned in the customer/vendor master)?  And system would not allow direct postings to reconciliation accounts, which eliminates the threat of reconciliation GL account going out of balance as compared to the sub-ledger accounts.
However, you can run FBL3N or FS10N for the reconciliation account(s) and match it with the total balance on all customers/vendors using transaction FBL5N/FBL1N.

  • Xilinx error 59 reported by Translation process, and unhandled exception in ngdbuild

    Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right forum to post in but I'll try.
I'm struggeling with compiling my FPGA code on a NI 9074 target with 8 modules. LabView FPGA tells me that it failed due to a xilinx error in the translation process. It looks like the ngdbuild.exe craches (I'm getting questions from CVI to start debugging an unhandled exception. This happens two times every I try to compile the FPGA code. But the exception seems to happen at different places every time. That is at least what I see from the debug window which appears, assuming the number in square bracets means line number in the source. This number seems to shift with every compilation. It shifts from 1864 to 5896.
The error which is returned to the LabView FPGA is:

    Done...
I'm not familiar with VHDL so I don't know the specifics of what really happens during the compilation. I dont have anything specail timing code in the VI except for loop timers.
I'm using LabView FPGA 2011, and xilinx 12.4. The code has compiled successfully on earlier LabView versions. There are no errors or warings in my LabView FPGA code that that LabView detects. Is this a bug in LabView FPGA 2011 or Xilinx 12.4?
I've attached the log files from the compilation process and the error summary that LabView FPGA gives me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Peter,
You are running into bug 1747626. I will send you an email with a fix.
Regards, Marc We have the same problem here. We have installed the bugfix but it still does not work.

  • R12 Translation process (vs. 11.5)

Currently, in our 11.5 instance, we run translation within each non-USD set of books at month-end, prior to transfer into our consolidation set of books. The rates used seem "normal" to me:
    - P&L activity at month-end average rate
    - Assets/Liaibilities at month-ending rate
    - Equity at spot-rate of each transaction.
We are in the process of meeting with an OCS team, and neither they nor us understand how a Reporting Ledger does translation. If, as we're being told, the Report Ledger functions as MRC (which we do NOT use today) and creates translated activity to match what's happening in the primary ledger, then all the P&L activity (for instance) will come over at daily spot rate. At month-end, that approach will produce a different translated USD amount then the approach we take today (using an AVERAGE monthly rate).
Having the report ledger (at daily rate) during the month would be a good thing, but after month-end, if the total of a given account (at daily rate) differs from the translated month-end average rate for the same set of transactions, we will have grumpy and noisy users to deal with. This is not desirable.
    Questions:
    1) Is there another "Re-Translation" process to re-calc the USD reporting amounts within a Report Ledger?
    2) Has anyone else had this problem, or am I missing some crucial piece of logic or functionality?
    Thanks,
    -danno

  • Is there a way to translate process flow to OMB+ ?

    Hi all,
Is there a way in OWB to translate process flow/mapping into OMB+ script?
    thanks.

Well I can't say I have tried this with the OS, but I have done this with software that we had where I worked a number of years ago that somebody had bought in Europe and then moved to the US. Also, make sure you back up your computer before doing any of this, and no guarantees - especially when messing with System files!
If you use Resedit to open application files and explore a bit you will often see things that appear as the menus and messages that pop up. You can try (and I emphasize "try") to replace these with something in Spanish. Usually you should not replace it with anything longer otherwise it may not fit in properly. Also some menus are contained elsewhere and you won't be able to change those at all.

  • After 10.6.3 upgrade: "translate" process running constantly

Just upgraded to 10.6.3 Since the upgrade a process called "translate" is running in in Activity monitor constantly. It's taking a pretty constant 99% CPU (out of 400% total on my 4-core).
I don't remember seeing that process before and it surely should not be sitting there eating up CPU.
As I write, it's been doing this for 8 or 9 hours.
    Regards,
    Peter G.

Have had the same problem with the translate process. My system got so bogged down and screwed up while I tried to correct this (with several calls to Apple Support) that I did a full system restore via Time Machine to 3/20/2010. The restore took 12.5 hrs due in large part to 10K+ photos on my hard drive, but after the restore, everything worked fine (no translate process running) until I got the auto-upgrade notice and upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6.3 (plus several other Apple apps)--again the translate process now runs at 99-100%. The only solution I can see until Apple fixes this is quit the process using the Activity Monitor via the CPU Usage screen. The positive point in all of this is that Time Machine works as advertised. I had tried to reinstall the OS from the installation disk, but the installation failed x3.

  • Error when attempting to apply XLIFF file during translation process

    Hi
I am getting an error during the translation of an application.
I exported the translation text into a XLIFF file, made a few changes to <target> values to test if the translation worked.
I then uploaded the XLIFF file and tried to apply the translation file and it came up with the following error:
ORA-31011: XML parsing failed ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing LPX-00210: expected quote<quote instead of quote¿quote Error at line 1
(I have used quote in line above to indicate single quote mark as it didn't display correctly with the quote symbol)
Do you know why I'm getting this and what I need to do to fix it? I have carried out the translation process successfully in the past (albeit on other workspaces and with smaller applications).
    Thanks & Regards
    Simon

    Hi,
Thanks for your help, I used UltraEdit as you suggested and it worked ok.
However I now get a problem when I try to Publish the Application. I get the following error:
ORA-20001: Sync error: WWV_FLOW_PAGE_PLUGS.PLUG_NAME ORA-01407: cannot update ("FLOWS_030000"."WWV_FLOW_PAGE_PLUGS"."PLUG_NAME") to NULL
and Sync translatation error (step 2 of 2) below this
It does say Application 102 created/updated as the translation of application 101 above this so I don't know if the Publishing worked ok or not?
When I test it, the translation doesn't seem to be working (although this may be down to some other mistake I've made).
    Can you help?
    Thanks
    Simon

  • "Translator" process is hogging CPU, causing crashes - what is it?

So in the past few weeks, my machine has seemed slower and slower each day. In the past week, my mouse will jump across my 2 screens erratically. I thought it was either the mouse or USB port so tried different configurations until it occurred to me that, on random days, after a random startup; all is well.
I popped open the Activity Monitor and now can confirm my problem. My machine works great when the process "Translator" behaves itself. Every time I get the erratic mouse, slow window response and (every time) an eventual freezing of my screen requiring forced restart - Translator is hogging all my CPU. If I sample it, my machine crashes to a freeze. It I get more info on it, I can see that Translator has to do with syncservices (why do so many problems on 10.5 have to do with syncservices?). I have tried Googling for more info on it, but there doesn't seem to be anything out there. If I force quit it (standard quit doesn't work), my system will hang.
Does anyone know what this is and how to fix my problem?
I know the standard next steps (create a new user account and migrate files sans ~/Library, re-install OS, etc.) but am afraid that the problem will resurface if ties to syncservices (I do use Mobileme to sync, have an iPhone and an iPod). I guess I'm looking for more info before proceeding with drastic and time intensive measures that may very well yield the same problem despite the effort.
Any help would be very much appreciated. It is worth noting that it took 5 full minutes for me to correct my spelling in this post due to the erratic mouse. Good times. I am off to restart - again.
"Translator" is process ID 1027 running under my user account.
Its at over 100% of my CPU

So by removing the Exchange sync for my Address Book prefs, I was able to completely clear-up the problem. That link to opendns was VERY VERY interesting. I looked at my routing tables and indeed, they hijack google DNS entries and cause all sorts of havoc as a consequence. As junky as my ISP's DNS service is (RoadRunner/Time Warner in SoCal), I believe I will switch back to them as I find I don't get the original problem, with Exchange enabled, when using their DNS instead of opendns.
What a mess and my thanks for the quick eye (I am going to mark your post as the solution for me)! I can't say that I am certain whether this is solely an opendns issue or if it is an issue with Exchange sync on the Mac, separate from opendns; however I am in a position where I don't really require either so both disabling Exchange and removing opendns are acceptable to me. Hopefully both Apple (exchange support - possibly fixed in Snow Leopard?) and OpenDNS (the idiot idea to re-route google dns) address their issues and can use issues such as mine to replicate the problem.
How would a home user with either little desire or knowledge ever diagnose an issue such as this? For every person like me, there has to be 10 who would believe their mouse needs replacing, then take it to the shop after that doesn't work, then get a new machine, etc. An entire sub-economy seeded by a simple software-based issue.

  • Currency translation process

    Hi All,
can any one let me know what is process for currency conversion in Hfm and how to do it pls provide steps to do .
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
one possibility: create a LSMW project for T-Code OB08. Maintain this only in Production-client and distribute the FX rates using ALE (RFALEX00).
I am sure there are many other opportunities.

  • LVFPGA - Process "Translate" failed

    Hi
    Currently using LVFPGA 2013 SP1
I'm used to compile my code oftenly, which happens to be necessary when using the FPGA module
Today, I started to get a "Process "Translate" failed" message in the Xilinx Log while trying to compile. The compilation is not aborted and still running
Same problems have already been listed here and here, and issue is supposely fixed in LVFPGA 2014 (associated CAR 428544)
We won't probably change IDE version to 2014
So that here follow my questions:
    1. Is the compilation process going to generate a working bitfile as this post suggests ?
    2. Any information about the problem (why is it happening?). Couldn't find any helpfull CAR description
    3. What elements in the code I'm trying to compile may lead to the compilation to fail/take that much time ? Any recommendation/workaround ?
    Thanks for help

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

As a follow-up, in case someone ends up reading this post, with a similar issue
It happens that the previously listed CAR is linked to FIFOs. I have no FIFO in my code, so that my problem is not linked to this CAR.Compiling in LV 2014 still shows the same message
There are several translate processes within the same Xilinx compile process. First one may fail, but the second one should be successfull. This is expected; the compile process is behaving as expected.
We still can't explain why my code took 4 hours to execute once, whereas it only takes 1 to 2 hours now

  • BPM 7.2, process translation guide

    Good day!
I'm creating a process in BPM 7.2 and as I can see there is a feature to translate processes by using xlf files. But I was failed to find any documents elaborates the procedure of translation... If anybody have done that task I would be really appreciate the help.

    Hi Kirill,
The official documentation about this feature will be avaialbale on the help portal with the SP02 release of 7.20, in the beginnig of March.
In the meantime, you can follow this procedure to be able to translate language specific attributes (the formatting is lost, unfortunately):
    Translating Language-Specific Attributes in BPM
When you model a process, language-specific content is automatically stored in a resource file. For different types of elements containing text, a corresponding resource file is created. These files are of S2X format and use the XLF file extension. To edit XLF files, you use the S2X editor in the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio.
In SAP NetWeaver Business Process Management (BPM) translation is supported for the following elements:
    Element
    XLF File
    Located in Node
    Process
    <process name>.bpmn.xlf
    bpmn
    Task
    <task name>.task.xlf
    tasks
    Function
    <function name>.function.xlf
    functions
    Ruleset/Flow Ruleset
    <ruleset/flow ruleset name>.function.xlf
    functions
    Event Trigger
    <event trigger name>.eventdef.xlf
    triggers
    Reporting Data Source
    <reporting data source name>.eventdef.xlf
    reporting
You have to translate only attributes that are flagged with yes in the Translate column of the S2X editor.
The XLF files contain the texts in the language that you determined when you created the Process Composer project. For every language version other than this original language, you create a copy of the XLF file and enter the language-specific translations. Languages other than the original language are referred to as source languages.
Translated texts are included in the build when you build your project and are displayed at runtime after you deploy the project to the application server. For example, you can see translated task attributes when you log into the Universal Worklist (UWL) to execute a task. Displaying the translated text depends on the language defined for the user with which you log into the UWL.
If no translation is available, the task is displayed in the original language.
    Prerequisites
You have created a Process Composer project and elements containing language-specific attributes.
You have opened the Process Development perspective in the Developer Studio and have expanded your project in the Project Explorer view.
    Procedure
Expand the src node and then expand the corresponding node containing the XLF file you want to translate.
Copy the XLF file within its node.
Number of copies depends on the number of languages you want to translate to.
Add an underscore (_) and the corresponding two-character language code according to ISO standard to the name of a copied XLF file before the XLF extension.
    Example
The name of the original process attributes XLF file is MyProcess.bpmn.xlf and you want to translate the attributes to German. You add an underscore (_) and de, which is the language code for German. The result is a file named MyProcess.bpmn_de.xlf.
    End of the example.
In the context menu of the language-specific file, choose  Open With  S2X Document Editor .
On the Header tab page, select a source language from the Source Language dropdown list.
On the Resource Text tab page, select an entry relevant for translation and choose the Edit pushbutton.
Enter the required translation and choose the OK pushbutton.
Save, build, and deploy your project.

  • FAGL_FC_TRANS not processing translation as expected

Ran transaltion process where local currency is GBP and group currency is USD. The result of the translation of the balances is expected to be posted to the translated account itself. But the process fails asking for an adjustment account. has anyone figured this out?
    Thanks

In the account determination for Translation configuration screen, I left the field adjustment account blank and assigned the val1 gain and loss account to the CTA account. The message I get when I ran the translation process is I don't have adjustment account setup. But I want the exchange rate diff to go to the same account like valuation.
    Thanks

  • Rogue process : Translator

I have a process that shows in Activity Monitor called Translator that is eating 20% CPU. It started after I installed iWork '09 trial which required 10.5.6. Anyone know what this process is? If I kill it, it comes back within minutes and I experience about one kernel panic per day since I started noticing it.
    Thoughts?

I've been having a similar issue which has been very annoying since the Translator process causes the fans to fun constantly and my machine to drag a little. It's been going on since before I installed iWork '09, so wouldn't expect to to be related (especially since one of the other posts indicates that it's Rosetta related). I have not had any kernel panic issues that seem to be related to this - mainly annoying fans. Would really like to see this sorted out...

  • Enhancement Request for APEX 3 - Import / export translation

    Hi,
Would it be possible to add this functionality in the next release ?
If we import an application that has a translation in the database (seed) into another APP_ID , we loose the translation.
So for a 100+ pages application, it is really a pain to have to re-translate everything again. (since we cannot use the same xliff file).
It would be nice to import the content of the translation from one application ID into another one or to export the translation with the application export.
    Thanks
    Francis.

We blogged on this problem on the following link http://iadvise.blogspot.com/2006/12/apex-deploy-your-multilingual.html
We are now working on an Apex application that will help in step 3 of the translation process. It is possible to upload an xliff-file, to make a translation for every source element and to create the xliff file again with the translations. The idea is also to make a kind of dictionary so it will be possible to automate a part of the translation process for words that are repeatedly used. Keep an eye on our blog where we will explain some more on this application.
Btw, which tool do you use to make the translations ?

  • Bug? #COLUMN_WIDTH# is missing in translated application

    Hi,
I have two language application in apex 4.0.2.06 on Oracle XE.
To set a fixed column width in classic report I use "Fixed Column Headers" template from "Builder Blue" theme with #COLUMN_WIDTH# substitution string.
For primary language application everything works as expected: columns have fixed width.
But it does not works for translated application (after seed/publish translation process).
Columns and their headers are messed.
After comparing HTML sources of generated pages in primary and translated applications I found that
    1) In the primary app #COLUMN_WIDTH# replaced with "style="width:XXXpx"
    2) In the translated app #COLUMN_WIDTH# is REMOVED.
    Is it a bug?
    Thanks.

With horizontalScrollPolicy="off" (the default), it is hard to control
column widths because the columns are sometimes overridden to make sure they
    fit on the screen.
