Transport datasouce

Hi Friends,
When I transported a datasource in R/3 prod and doing extraction test I am getting the message "Error 6 in function module RSS_PROGRAM_GENERATE".
Please help..

if the data source transported from dev to prd, the info source and data source concerned on BW side should also be replicated and transported (or you replicate and activate on BW production manually).
did you get any warnings or errors in the transport log?
Is the test extraction you mentioned above on R/3 side using RSA3? or on BW side?

Transportation of Datasouces from BI DEV to BI QAS

Hi all,
         We have been facing some troubles while transporting from the BI DEV to BI QAS side .Our R/3 DEV source system is IED200 and R/3 QAS is IED400. I have trasnported all respective datasources from R/3 DEV to R/3 QAS , replicating the same on the BI QAS side.While Transportation of the datasources from BI DEV, its throwing back and RC=8 error . Its states that the Source System IED200 does not exist. Can you please suggest what is the next step that is to be taken ?

Maintain source system conversion in Quality system.
RSA1 --> Transport Connection --> Conversion(see button)
Maintain new entry:
Original Source system     Target Source System
IED200                             IED400
Then re import.

Kiran,
From RSA5 --> Choose datasource and select "Activate Datasource" --> system prompts for transport request. Do not save as local object. assign package and assign to transport request.
From RSA6 --> Select datasouce --> choose transport(truck icon) --> follow same as above
From LBWE --> if you do any changes or customization system prompt for transport request.

Transport of Source System assignment for a Virtual Cube

Built a transport with the datasources, transfer rules, cubes etc..
After transport to my Q system - in the Q system I am not seeing any source system assignment for my remote cube
OBviously it exists in Dev
Everythign else is fine - datasource, infosource trasnfer rules but nothing underneath the infocube where the source system normally is
transport before and after in the transport conenctor picks up nothing to be transported
Logical system mapping table in Q is fine (naturally - because the datasouces got there) - replicate all done
Any ideas?

The source system assignments are local to the system and are not transported.

CRM Datasource Problem After Transport

Hi,
I am using CRM datasource 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H in CRM 5.0. The datasouce is installed through RSA5 and enhanced successfully in CRM Development System. Its BWA metadata is also activated automatically(as i am on CRM 5.0). I have transported it successfully to CRM Quality system without any warnings/errors. But when i check it in T-Code BWA5, its "Active" flag is not checked. And when i check in RSA3, sytem is throwing error message " Errors Occurred During Extraction". I can see the datasouce in RSA6 in Quality system with its enhanced fields.
How can i make the "Active" flag checked in CRM Quality system? Or How can i activate BWA metadata in CRM Quality system?
Urgent response would be appreciated.

Definitely this is not related to replication. Some times this error 'Error in extraction" is related to SMOXHEAD table entry.
Try following steps..
Copy Smoxhead entry CRD> se16 > SMOXHEAD > DataSource > select the resulting line, copy
se16 > SMOXHEAD_S > DataSource > paste
Table Entry > Transport Entries of SMOXHEAD_S
After transport try running RSA3. It shall be fine.

Error while transporting a Workbook

I got an Error while transporting a Workbook from Development to quality.The error is "logical transport object 432L not found in table RSTLOGOPROP".

Hi,
You have to create a new request and transport it again before transporting ensure that you collect all the dependent objects manually in the "Transport Connection" in the collection options.

Unable to capture the Data Source into a Transport Request

Hi All,
We have a product hierarchy and we are using the data source :4R_PRODH_D_LGEN_HIER for the hierarchy.
Now we need to transport this structure to the quality environment but we were not able to capture the datasource:4R_PRODH_D_LGEN_HIER into a transport request.
When ever we activate the data source:4R_PRODH_D_LGEN_HIER it is asking for the Package and the Transport Request Number.If we give these details and save it, data source is not getting captured in the request, only the "bject Directory Entry" is getting captured.
Can someone please guide me on how to capture the datasource under "Data Sources in BW" in a transport request.

Hi Sachin,
Hierarachy datasource is not captured as Attributes and Text Datasource. So what ever you have done is correct.
What ever is captured in Object Directory Entry is correct. So go ahead with your transports, once transport is done check the Hierarchy Infopackage with Available OLTP hierarchies and load the data.
Most important thing first see that the all Master & Transactional Datasources are transported in R/3 Dev to QA to PRD
In BW, datasources are not transported, only their replica is transported.
Transportation of Datasource is done in R/3. Only their replica is transported in BW.
So wht ever you have done till now is correct. So go ahead.
While attaching Hierarchy Datasource it is captured only in "Object Directory Entry"

Error while assigning objects to Transport Request

while assigning a Transfromation to a Treq i am getting an error saying
Object '7KU37C7IG3T7AQ5NHSLEZVC91' (ROUT) of type 'Routine' is not available in version 'A'
Message no. RSO252
Diagnosis
You wanted to generate an object with the name '7KU37C7IG3T7AQ5NHSLEZVC91' (in transport request ROUT) of type 'Routine' (TLOGO). This is, however, not available in the BW Repository database. It does not exist in the requested version A. If the version is 'D' then it is possible that an error arose during the delivery or installation. If the version is 'A' then the Object was either not created or not activated.
System Response
The object was not taken into account in the next stage of processing.
Kindly advice how to rectify this error

You see the which infoobejct contains that routine and first collect that infoobejct and transport it then transport Transfromation. I hope you are missing some Routines while collecting the Transformations into request.

Error while transporting a data type

Hello all SAP PI Experts,
I'm trying to transport a data type but I'm getting the below mentioned error.
This is happening even when I gave the proper name of SWCV that contains this data type.
Please suggest how this problem can be solved.

Hi Ajeya,
An easy trick is to open the DataType on your Enterprise Service Builder, and once it is opened, (not edit, just open) go to Tools --Export Design Object
The correct SC will be filled as default.

Error while transporting TP in production server in workflow

Dear All,
I have done some workflows . It is working fine in development in quality but in production while TP transporting it is showing error like ' Temporary log /usr/sap/trans/tmp/TP number not found'. why this error is coming ?
Please guide m . Its urgent.

Do you transporting those requests into PRD as Developer?
I think it is basis related issue, did you had any word with SAP basis person.
Any ways could you send long text when it is giving this error.
May be some sequencing issue in PRD?

While I was transporting my cube from Development box to Acceptance box, following error occured.

Actually transport failed but the cube was present in the Acceptance box in inactive state

Hi Mukul,
This is an RC=12 issue.Contact the basis team or raise ticket basis team stating that your specified transport request is got terminated.Basis team will resolve the issue and then you can Import the transport into your acceptance system.

I faced something pretty much similar and snote:: "770358 - PFCG: Role copy fails due to data inconsistency" worked perfectly for me.
Snote describes quite nicely about the root cause.
Please note this error might come up when you try to copy this role, perform pfud as wel.

Error while transporting the Vendor in MM-SUS

We are implementing SRM server 5.5 and follow a MM-sus scenario.
We were able to transport the vendor to SUS via BD14.
but now we are reciveing an error -

Error while transporting req

Hi,
I have this strange problem. I have added some transformation , DTP , infopackage and routines to existing data flow.
I have put them in a single request and tried to transport them to quality server.
Now I am getting error while moving it to the quality.
The error log says that one of the transformation has error in start routine. Where is that transformation doesn't exist in the system, not in active as well as inactive mode. I have checked in RSA1 as well as table 'RSTRAN'.
Same problem with some of the DTPs as well. They are in error and they doesn't exist in the system( table RSBKDTP).
Kindly help. Am I missing something.

Hi,
I have narrowed the problem. I had 4 transformation in that req, Now I have separate req for each transformation. Out of 4 req 3 has been transported successfully. Now I am having trouble with a single transformation and cause of the error is piece of code in include which I am using in a start routines.
LOOP AT source_package INTO ls_sourcepackage.
ls_i_mat-fpc = ls_sourcepackage-/BIC/dpmat. >> If I comment this line req get transported.
APPEND ls_i_mat TO i_mat.
ENDLOOP.
/BIC/dpmat is fiield in the structure of source package.
I am confuse why its giving trouble. The above transformation is from DataSource to Cube.

Error while transporting

Hi All,
Iam working on BI7. I was transporting a DTP from Dev to Quality. The transport has failed with return code 8 and says 'Overlapping selection criteria with DTP'.
Iam just not able to get through this....

One more question...
While Iam checking the log, the error is as follows
DTPABC overlaps with selection criteria of DTPXYZ.
DTPABC is which I transported from DEV.
I don't understand where the DTPXYZ has come from...
I've gone thru the Q but DTPXYZ is not to be seen anywhere...
Does DTP tech names change after transport?
