Transport Of Config Table

Hi Guys
I've written an update program that makes changes to the T510 table in one client but I need to transport it programmatically to another client.
Programmatically in the sense that after the update program has finished I need it to come up with the appropriate dialog boxes, these dialog boxes are bog standard dialog boxes that appear when the T510 table entry is changed on a transportable client.
1) Maintain Table View Initial Screen
One with table/view name and 4 buttons Display, Maintain, Transport and Customizing.
Upon pressing Transport button
2) Should prompt me for the Country Grouping, Pay scale type and Pay scale area dialog.
Green tick this.
3) Prompt for customizing request - i.e. where you can select an existing transport or create a new one i.e. where the DVLK<no> appears.
Green tick this.
4) Finally the transport view "pay scale groups" overview dialog.
Here you would highlight the entries and then press the Include In Request button.

Could you please check if there are unprocessed BDOCS in your system, you can use transaction SMW01. You might need an application guy to decide how to handle them.

Hello Vijay,
In SPRO transaction, you have an option to view change logs , you can use this option.
In SPRO->SAP Reference IMG and then drill down to the customizing you are interested in.
Click on that node and click on the Change Log button.
The rest is self explanatory.
Later when you find the table name of the affected config.
You can take the table name and search for the object in transaction SE03 -> Objects in Request -> Search for Objects in Request

Way to access config table without opening system

Hi Experts,
In the PSCD module, there are some config tables that need to be updated weekly with data. This weekly maintenance is not in line with the goal to reduce our transports to PROD to once a month. How can we update those tables directly without transporting or opening the system?
An example is table TFK001U. We need to enter new users in that table. It is a client specific table. It stores 3 fields, client, user name , and recon group. We have a tcode to access it directly, but still get the message: TK430 (Client XXX has status 'not modifiable').
Please advise how to get around that error.

No. I think to maintain this one, you need also or opening the client or make changes with closed client but asking for a request and transporting this content.
In last case, you need table maintenance dialog but don't need a transaction if you can use SM30 to maintain it.
PS: Sometimes we ask to BASIS team to open a system for a while, so we can make our changes and after that ask them to close it again. It depends on your necessity.

How to transport the DATABASE TABLE into the Test system ?

Hi Experts,
I am working on BI7, I had created Database table in BDV system using SE11. Tech_name is ZGLACC_TEMP. I had activated it. I had used this database table for the purpose of writing the start routine in the transformation. while I am transporting the transformations to the test system, It is showing as syntax error in ABAP program,
In BDV system there are no syntax errors. it is working fine,
So now I have to transport the database table to test system so that I can transport the transformations into Test system without any error.
Kindly anyone can give the answer , it will be appreciate and points will be assigned.

Hi Sekhar,
Go to SE11, go into the change mode of your table and change the Object Directory entry (Goto -> Object Directory Entry) to some valid package (other than $tmp). Then it will ask for a transport request. Give a transport request and then I believe you know what to do with that transport.
Another thing to keep in mind ... transport all the data elements and domains you have created for this table. Change their Object Directory Entry and assign them to the same transport request.

Event trigger on transport of ABAP table entries

Hi Experts,
I have an issue with respect to the scenario mentioned.
Scenario is that I have a Z-table in Dev which is maintained through SM30 once the data is saved ,the event"02 After saving the data in the database" ,I have linked a include program to this event which triggers a abap proxy to send data to SAP PI Java stack cache,this scenario is used in value mapping replication from Z-table.
The problem is the QA and PRD Client has status 'not modifiable'.
So can these Z-table entries when transported to QA or PRD ,trigger an event which can call my proxy program to send the full load to the SAP PI system.

Ans) Yes, we can transport these Z-table entries to the the QA and Prod system environment, but the z table 'devliery and maintenance" table defines the technical attributes for this Z-table.
in the delivery and maintenance tab, you can define the deliver class. Suppose if your delivery class type is C, G, E, S: The data records of the table are copied to the target client.

i have added new fields to my z table and created a transport request. but when i transport the changes are not reflecting in the target system. how best can i transport a z table

Are there any messages on the transport protocol. ie : Have you transported all data-element or domain needed by the table.
If no error message in transport, adjust your table after transport via SE14 under option "Activate and Adjust database"

How to transport a Z table?

Hi Friends,
I need to transport a Z (custom) table names "ZXXX". When we go to Transport Connection from RSA1 we can click on Object Types to see all the object we can transport. I dont see any object type that will let me create transport request for my custom table. Would any one let me know how can i transport this custom table to QA and Production system?

If you have difficulty in navigating in the transport organiser, then try the following:
you must have used the table to define a data source or something , right?
If so, in transport conenction in RSA1 - chose data source and in collection mode chose "data flow in before and afetr" and when the collection is complete, check if see the Ztable. If you see that, you are fine with the transport.
Then save the objects in a request and release in Se10.

Transporting SRM Config

If i transport SRM configs from one system to another, is there anyway i can change backend references in target system. Any program/transaction code?

Hi. What I normally do is try and leave target system blank and see if that works. It does for some config and then it can be transported fine because there is nothing tying it to 1 backend system.
For example, the link from product category to G/L account can be configured with no backend system, as long as you configure it before the product categories have been replicated to SRM.
Some config is entirely dependant on backend system though, and even the SRM cookbooks tells you to configure manually in each client by opening the client as part of the initial set up.

How to transport a Deleted Table entry

is there a way of transporting deletions of table entries.
For example. I'm dealing with a table say such as T529U. So we already have value there for active, inactive, retiree, withdrawn. Say I wanted to delete retiree from the selection list.
I go to our DEV and make the deletion. I manually create a transport of the entire table and transport it to our QA system. When I do so, the table still remains the same. The only way the record would be changed would be if it was new or had the same key (thus overwriting). How do you remove and transport (so you don't have to do it in all instances).

Hello
A delete should be a change just like any other change and should be recorded on a change request. After releasing the change request you should be able to transport that delete to your QA and PRD systems as needed.
As a general rule I would not transport the complete table. There is too much risk that unintended changes get transported.
Are other changes to your table being recorded on a transport request?
If you have another environment(sandbox or project?) try the delete in that environment to convince yourself that it does(or does not )work.

Need config table which stores data for Vendor Master changes

Hi Gurus,
I need to have the name of the config tables which store the details of the Vendor Master configuration changes based on account group information.
For Example,
For a given Account Group(ZM09), the VAT Registration field in the control data tab of the transaction XK02 is suppressed. and for other Account Groups the VAT Registration field is appearing in the Control data tab of the XK02 transaction.
So I need to determine at run time for which vendor account group the VAT Reg field is suppressed and for which it is appearing.
Hence I require the name of the Config table in SAP which stores this information.

You can select all levels of changes (i.e. General, Company Code, purchasing org)or individual levels only.
If you want the tables then CDHDR & CDPOS will provide all the details.

Transport of config objects...business system prblem...

Hi Gurus,
We want to transport dev and config objects from XI qua to a XI test server... we hav successfully transported all design objects...but we are facing problem while transporting the config objects because of business and technical system issue....the business system in quality points the ECC quality....how can i tranposrt the config objects with same business system name....is there any way??

This will be Maintained in SLD .You know what will be Business system name in Quality or Production.
While Creating Business system you need specify in the Transport Tab which is your Target Business System and also the Group like Production or Quality ,
When you do transport from Development and for the Dev_Bs (Bussiness system ) if you assign the Qaulity System Bussiness system ,it automatically move the object under Quality Business System.
if this setup is done in SLD when you do transport the Configuration Object It Automatically assigns the Quality and production Business System if you are doing Transport from Dev Respectively.

Can you please show what you are doing and how Oracle responds? It's hard to guess what you are trying to do based on the information given.

Transport of application table & data

Hi guys,
I need to transport an application table and I'm getting error:
"Fill table key for table XXX only up to position 003 only".
What does it mean?
Is there a problem the table contains data?
I need to transport table including all data from it. Is there any way how to achieve it?
The table is cross client.

Hi....
We can use this procedure to transport table entries...,
Create a TR in SE01.=>Display TR=> Place the cursor on the TR=> menu=>Request/task=>Object list=>display object list=>change=>Add new rows=>
Here give program ID as R3TR, objects as TABU and object name as ur table name. Press enter. U may get a message. Just close it and double click on the table name. In the Next screen press insert icon. Here u can specify the Key(Table key values) If u want to transport specific entries.
If u want all entries to be transported then simply give * and save the TR. Now if release this TR it will transport all table contents to the higher system.

Transport retraction config

Hello All
Have done the config for retraction of Funds management data from BI to ECC. It works fine in dev. However when I transport the same into ECC QA, nothing is visible.
I guess the config done in ECC Dev is stored against the BI Dev client and hence it is not visible in ECC QA.
As we do the mapping of dev source system to QA source system in BW, do we have something similar in ECC to map the dev logical client to QA client?

I have transported the config and the transport was successful.
As the configuration for retraction is done for BW system like BI1CLNT001 which is the BW Dev, when you transport the same to QA, this should be change to BI2CLNT002. Could you please let me know where and how this is mapping or conversion is done in ECC?
