Transport Query - SQ##

Hi fellas,
I wanna transport a query (SQ01), infoset (SQ02) and user grups (SQ03), since I have restrictions on end machine.... Does anyone can tell me how to put these objects on the transport order I've already created? SQ03 is already there.

select transports, give user group, infoset and query name
then release the request

Error while transporting query

I am transporting query from one client to another. Initial it's generate a request number when I exported. But when I am importing the same request number in another client it's saying that 'dataset does not exit.
Although I transported query using downloading & uploading function.

How to transport Query variant used in APD

Hello Experts,
I have created 2 query variants for a query in Development system. And, these variants are being used in APD. Now, when APD is transported to next system, query variants does not exist in next system, so cannot execute APD.
Please let me know how can i transport the query variants.
Note: Gone through SDN, and found, query variants can be transported through some tables.
Please let me any other possibile sloutions for the same.

Hi Lavanya,
To the best of my knowledge, you cannot transport query variants. You have to manually create them in each system. The reason being, when you try to create variants through RSRT -> Query Variants, you are basically trying to create variants for a temporary program generated during run time!
These run time programs do not have TADIR entries (not transportable) and hence any sub elements (like variants) created on these programs are not transportable as well.
Actually you can export variants.Please follow the below steps:
1. Go To TCode SE38.
2. Execute "RSTRANSP".
3. Input your program name.
4. Input your variant name ie. "Z**** ".
5. Execute.
6. Click on continue.
7. You should be able to create a new transport at this point.

Hi,
In SQ01, select the desired query from the appropriate query area.
From the Menu select Query -> More functions -> Generate Program.
After this the ABAP program is generated in memory for the query.
Again from the menu select Query -> More functions -> Display Report name .
Copy this program and execute through SE38, you will see the same result as executed from SQ01.
Now assign a tcode to thsi program and get it transported.

Transport query variants

Hi,
I have a lot of query variant which I need in every system.
Is it possible to transport query variants? I already tried to transport the query and variable in the transport connection. Addionally I figured out that the variants are stored in table rsrvariant, but I'm not able to transport the entries.

Pls transport the table RSRVARIANT ,which contains the entry for all bex variants, all variants will be transported then.You should transport the table contents(via SE16 or SE10).Create a request in SE09 or SE10. From the context menu of the transport no, go to object list (or double click). On the next screen go to 'change' mode.Press 'add new entry' (plus icon).

Issue in transport Query

Hy expert, i'm unable to import a query in test environement.
here are the steps:
we made a copy of the production in test landscape. We had some query that were maintain only in production.
I've succussefully donwload the infoset and the query in dev landscape.
i made some changes in the infoset by adding new fields, i also change the output of the query.
I launched the RSAQR3TR report for the transport.
I released the change request, transported it successuffuly in test landscape.
i launched RSAQR3TR in test to import the query and infoset, insert the crr number, i allowed the overwritting, in the options i choose replace but i have this error:
Compare query C5_NEW /SM <-> InfoSet ZEQC : Field INST_SALES_REP missing
Compare query C5_NEW /SM <-> InfoSet ZEQC : Field CO_SALES_REP missing
Import for query C5_NEW /SM cancelled RC=08
('INST_SALES_REP, CO_SALES_REP) are the fields i have add in the devpt landscape.
did i miss something?

each time the import is canceled.
i must say that the fields IBASE_SYS_DESC ,IBASE_LAB_DESC, IBASE_LAB are not missing in the infoset while the fields INST_SALES_REP and CO_SALES_REP are the one i have added in dev
i noticed that if want to cancelled all and start from the begining ( downloading the infoset from test to dev, i have this message: unable to lock the query zeqc)

Errors when transporting query

I face errors when transporting a query. I have checked the release and import logs and have noticed the following:
Release Log:
There are 5 query elements which have been deleted
Import Log:
The query is not active only a modified version of the query is present.
I am creating a new transporting and collecting the objects not including the deleted 5 objects since they do not exist in the dev system.
The problem that I have is that the majority of the objects are locked in a BEx transport.
The only option of unlocking is each of the objects from the BEx transport, locking in my transport. Is this the way to do this or is there any consequences or a better way?

as you have transport request with all the collected objects, follow the below steps
1) goto SE03, in left side you will have option "unlock the objects from transport"
in the next screen give the transport request and execute
now activate the query once and goto transport connection in RSA1.
here collect your query into transport request.
release it and import the same into next system.

Input the name of the query in Query Designer wrt the quality system and try to display the same.

How to transport query - ECC 6.0

How can I transport a query in ECC 6.0?
The screen has changed from the usual in the earlier versions. There is no option asking for Export / Import or Upload / Download.

Query Transported Successfully : But transported query is not available in PRD system

Hi Gurus,
I have transported one query yesterday. And transport got successful with out any errors.
Now i am checking the same query in PRD system, but i am not able to find the query.
Checked in RSRT and Query Designer in PRD System.
Table RSZCOMPDIR is showing only M version of the query in PRD.
Please help to fix this issue.

have you cheeked the STMS there showing return code - 0,4,8,15 means success or warning or red?
have you transported successfully form dev to qav?
are you seeing same query in qas?
if not available same query on PRD please re import the one more time.
check the RSRT giving the technical name of query and check the multi provider.

Transporting Query from DEV

Hi All,
I am not sure whether I am in the right forum, but maybe you still can help me.
I created SQ01 query in our DEV environment, and i assigned tcode for the query.
Can i transport it in our PRD? Or it is more advisable to create the tcode in PRD directly?
Please note that the query is both existing in DEV and PRD.

Hi Tina,
It is always prefered way to create objects in development system and then transport them to quality and later to production. If you start to created objects in production your systems will start to be inconsistient.

Transported query from DEV to QAS no applicable data

Hi all, any idea why queries transported from a DEV system to a QAS system will not execute? I am getting no applicable data even though the data is in the cube. I am not having much luck with new queries either. Please advise. Anna Marie

Looks really strange...
Are you sure data is reportable on your InfoCubes on QAS? (do you see the table icon on the right of all request ids?).
Are you sure query is not filtering too much data? Please, check this by displaying filtered values with 'Display text elements -> All' on BEx Toolbar.

Deleting a transported query in QA system

hi all,
i am trying to delete a query in a QA system. the report needs to be deleted due to the errors in naming convention. so my question is:
1) is there a standard way to delete query (bw odjects) that has been transported in QA system? the report has to be deleted in development systems first? how does this work?
2) or do we delete them directly in QA system?

Hi Willie,
If you have transported a query then the only way to open that in the edit mode is to have an open transport request assigned to the specific dev package (RSA1 > Transport Connection). The way to proceed is to have this transport request assigned to the dev package. Then open up the query designer and delete the query. Release the transport and import into the target system. If you have deleted a query directly in a system, you can still assign it to a transport request in Dev.

When a query/web template is to be transported , one has to select grouping of only necessary objects ( presuming data targets/ info objects are already transported) . And click on transport it will put all required objects in to single request.
Alternatively you can check table RSZELTTXT for findiing out meaning ful name of elements like 44LODF3U77ZTZAUT2N59KRITZ and try to manuaaly include in the transport request and transport the objects.

Hi.
You should select query elements.
Otherwise some changed elements will not be transported correctly.
Let's say you changed RKF and not selected such element in transport connection - in this case the change in RKF will not be transported.

Can't use RSA1 to transport Query

Hello Experts,
I made some coding changes to an existing query. I generated the infoset and user group to create a transport request to send to the test system. The changes works fine in the development system but they do not work in the test system. I can see the coding changes in the test system but they are not working as in development.
From my research on this forum, the suggestion is to use RSA1 for transport, but the development system is not set up to use RSA1. Is there another way I can get this transported? or better yet, what am I not doing for the changes not to work in the transport target system?

hi lyn,
for that what you have to do is go to RSA1, collect the query and drag in to right side, create a request for the query and make sure that you need to collect all the query elements in that request. and go to se09 and check whether all the query elements have tracked under that request and release the request.
go to test system>STMS>import the request.
thats the way to transport the objects,hope it should work.
