Transport Request consistency

Hi Experts,
Could you help me out in finding the status of TR in different system landscape???
I want to find out whether the transport request is present in different system landscape ( like prod, quality , dev ...).
Can u please provide me the function modules and table names related to this situation.

Transport Request is generated in following scenarios:
1. Customizing Request - When doing or changing some customization.
2. WorkBench Request - When configuration is cross-client. Eg Generating new Table, making changes in access sequence, Abap development, etc.
Transport request is not generated for Master Data. For eg: Customer Master, Material Master, price master, etc.
Benefit of Transport Request:
SAP Landscape normally has 3- Tier system:
Development Server - Where customization takes place. Transport request is generated at this level & then first transported to Quality server for testing whether it meets the requirement or not. Once the requirement is met in Quality server then Request is transported from Development Server to Production Server (Actual / Live System)
Quality Server - Mainly useful for testing.
Production Server Actual / Live server, where the real transactions are created & posted.
Procedure to Release & Transport Request:
1. In development server, go to T.Code: SE10 & select the check box Modifiable & enter
2. In the next screen, you will see list of transport request created.
Note: Transport request consist of main request along with sub request. These sub request hold the object to be transported.
3. Expand the main request & you will be able to view the sub requests attached to main request.
4. First release the sub requests.
Note: To release the request, select the request ni & click on release request individually (Do not select release all request)
5. Next release main request.
6. Once the request is released sucessfully, imform the basis person to import the request to QA server.
or
If the authority is with you, through T.Code: STMS, select development server --> select request no & release to QA server. Here when it pops up client no, user id & password, maintain it of QA server & release the request to QA server.

Steps needed to import the transport request

Hello SAP gurus
I am trying to import a transport request consisting of a packacge into a server. I was able to create this transport request on first server and trying to import it into second server.
I read many postings on this site and played with STMS_IMPORT, STMS etc.,
But still can't see the package on the second server.
I don't know what I need to do on the second server (target) to make it accept this foreign transport request.
If some one can please point me to a link or document that gives the exact steps involved to do this, I would appreciate it a lot.

Issue in BI Objects collection into Transport Request

I am experincing a Issue in collecting Infocube and related objects into a transport requests using transport connection.
My Scenario is as explained below
1.Migrated 3.x Dataflow into BI 7.0 Dataflow
2.Dataflow consists Infocube -->DSO (two separate DSO) --> Infosource (only 1) --> Datasource (from 2 different Source systems)
I have manually captured all my objects into a transport requests. i.e while activation.
The issue is when I try to use transport connection on this infocube with "Dataflow before" & Automatic collection options.
I am getting the below mentioned error.
Object '4C3C4WGBCRK9UWKNDGGYNKDNA' (ROUT) of type 'Routine' is not available in version 'A'
Message no. RSO252
Diagnosis
You wanted to generate an object with the name '4C3C4WGBCRK9UWKNDGGYNKDNA' (in transport request ROUT) of type 'Routine' (TLOGO). This is, however, not available in the BW Repository database. It does not exist in the requested version A. If the version is 'D' then it is possible that an error arose during the delivery or installation. If the version is 'A' then the Object was either not created or not activated.
System Response
The object was not taken into account in the next stage of processing.
I am sure that all my objects are collected into transport requests & I checked the object entry of all the dataflow objects..

In that case, pls ignore my prevoius post...
The issue is when I try to use transport connection on this infocube with "Dataflow before" & Automatic collection options.
With this option, system should have collected the related routines. Did u expand routine node, and check (ON) the check box for that routine ???
(Once all objects got collected, now from the right most window, expand each node (application, infoarea, routines etc) and put checkbox 'ON' (checked) to ONLY the objects (routine 4C3C4WGBCRK9UWKNDGGYNKDNA' ) u want to transport. Once u r done with that, click on Transport (truck Icon) and enter package name, if system prompts.)

PROBLEM IN RELEASING TRANSPORT REQUEST THROUGH SE10

Dear all,
I am trying to release transport request of development server via. transaction se10.Now my problem is that the child(DEVELOPMENT/CORRECTION) is getting released while the parent request is not getting released.
I checked everything and its showing 'test call of transport control program ended with return code 0208.' I even checked overview of system,overview of connection type,over view of transport protocol and they are fine.my only doubt is after going to se10 when I click transport proposals its showing "WORK FLOW NOT ACTIVE' .
Is my problem is because of this. Please help its very urgent as due to this I am not even able to transport any request on production server.

vicky just went through your Query regarding release
of requests..first of all U be sure of TMS configuration
see whether it is consistent or not.then after Refresh
the system and then come to release of requests.
its true that we can transport through scc1 but first
check about STMS configuration and the way you set
that.

Problem when creating a transport request

I copied productive BR3 to test BR1 system(it is a BW3.5 system). Test BR1 existed also before(only the main client was 003).
Now main client is on both 001(I do not know if this matter). I replicated with transport controller and everything went fine.
When I want to create a transport request I have problem "Extended transport contrl is not active . Cannot specify target client". when I wannt further explanation I get:
"Extended transport control is not active: Cannot specify target client

Diagnosis
Extended transport control is not active. This means that you can only release transport requests for the following transport targets:
Target group
R/3 System without specifying a client
Procedure
Change the transport target of the request by removing the client (for example, "C11" instead of "C11.010").
The simplest way of doing this is to use F4."
When I use F4 for "Target" field I get "BR3.001" as only option. If I choose BR3.001 I get above message. If I use "BR3" I get "BR3 is not a consolidation target". For further explanation I get :
"BR3 is not a consolidation target

Diagnosis
Transport target BW3 is not configured as a consolidation target of this SAP System. If you do not stick to configured transport routes, you may cause inconsistencies between the SAP Systems in the system landscape.
If you use extended transport control, you also need to specify a configured target client.
If the configured consolidation target is a target group, you also need to specify the target group as the transport target, if the target group consists of a single target system, or a single target client.
Procedure
Choose a configured transport target, or change the transport route configuration in the Transport Management System.
What to do?

Please check whether parameter CTC=1 has been set in Transport tool,If not set it.

Transport Request in PRD is in the IMPORT RUNNING status..

Hello Experts,
I have a problem while i m importing the request in PRD,the request is in the state of IMPORT RUNNING.
While i have imported the same request in the other systems DEV and QAS successfully.
I have seen the RDDIMPDP in sm37 it is getting cancelled. Then in 000 client i have runned the job RDDNEWPP with the DDIC user. And did the same in the PRD Live Clinet.
I have also triggered it in sm64 and then checked the job in sm37 the job is finished successfully but the request is still in the same state.
I have checked the consistency its all ok.
One of the request suddednly got imported and rest are still in the same Import Running state.
Now this made me curious if one got imported then why not other requests getting imported.
All the other requests are imported successfully in DEV and QAS successfully.
A couple of days ago i have made the changes to the Live Client in PRD for some requirment then i have revert back the changes to the non modifiable state. Does it have any effect on the transports. Because i have been facing this problem after the changes of the PRD Live Client.
Please i would appreciate if anyone can help me giving the proper solution.

Thanks for your quick help. I have removed the entries from the table TRBAT and imported and it was successfully done.
Now the problem is for each transport request i have to see the job RDDIMPDP and schedule it because its getting cancelled and for each transport request i have delete the entries from TRBAT table. Can you tell me something by which i dont have to go delete the entries from the table TRBAT every time. And i still wonder why the job RDDIMPDP is getting cancelled. I have also scheduled RDDNEWPP in Client 000 with DDIC and still the same problem.
Another thing which i have noticed in sm21 is the job (RDDIMPDP) is getting scheduled in Application server but i have scheduled in DB server. Every time i have to schedule the job from sm36 give the DB server in Exec. Server and execute.

Hi,
Check the below steps.
1. Go To SE09 or SE10.
2. Click 'Display' button.
3. TR will be list out in Tree view.
4. Place the cursor in the TR which is going release.
5. in menu, Request/Task->Complete check->object and
Request/Task->Complete check->Check Request Consistancy
Request/Task->Complete check->Inactive Objects.
6. in above if you get any error, you should rectify the error and repeat all the steps again. otherwise do the step7.
7. Click the 'Release Direclty'[F9] button in the toolbar.

Exit code 4 for transport request

Hello Experts,
I am trying to create a transport on a package in BI.
the purpose is that i should be capturing everything that lies under this package.
while the request was in modifiable state, i did the consistency check, and the request was found to be consistent.
After releasing the transport, it has returned status "Ended with return code 4"
As per my understanding return code 4 means that the system has deleted some of the objects from the request and those wont be written to the target system.
Also, the entry from Table TADIR is deleted.
My worry is, why some of the objects were deleted, and what will be the impact of this in the target system.
Also, how can i identify that which objects were deleted from the request and why?

the warning is "R3TRROUT065UJB5U3LGNOKY3JKXXHOFZW not found; object also deleted in target system"
in the long test I am able to see the belo:
Diagnosis
Object R3TRROUT065UJB5U3LGNOKY3JKXXHOFZW was not found during export.
System Response
The object is deleted in all systems into which this transport request is imported.
In addition, the relevant TADIR object directory entry is deleted.
but the question is this situation arised, and how to prevent this?

Components of transport request

hi,
I have created a table in development server .I want to transport it to production server. I have generated a transport request number which includes only table but not data element or domain. If i transport it to Production it will give Short dump,because data element is not included in transport request.
Is there any functionality or transaction or function module which gives the list of those objects which are missing in perticular request .

If u are referring it to the standard domian or standard data element then i think there is no need to worry about the transprot request for domain and data element.
If u have created a Zdomain or z data element then u need to look out for them .
You can check the entries of the request in T code Se03.
but not data element or domain. If i transport it to Production it will give Short dump,//
is this giving u a short dump or ur pre assuming that it will give ?
If u have referred it to standard references you can check the consistency of that request in Se01 by placing the cursor and then from
Request/Check and Overall check options from Tcode Se01 by placing the cursor on the request number and then redo the same for the tasks ..

The SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS) serves this purpose and is the vehicle by which SAP moves objects such as programs, screens, configurations or security settings from one system to the next. Additionally, the CTS ensures consistency between systems by maintaining log entries for any attempted or completed activities. If used correctly, the CTS creates an effective and standardized procedure for managing and recording changes made to the system while providing an excellent mechanism for integrating either newly created objects or existing objects that have been altered to meet the customers needs.

How to check a Transport Request

Hi All,
We did all the configurations for adding a plant and took the necessary transport requests. However someone deleted the plant and the associated configs. The issue what we have is few configs are existing and some or not.
How to find out which require re configuration from the transport request? Is it safe? or do we need to redo the complete configs again?

Hi,
Check that Transport request for the consistency as according to you the plant has been removed so,
It wouldnt be consistent.
you can do it from,
Se01 --> transport number > Request task on top>overall check-->check consitency.
If its a programe check the TCode : Se39 for split screen editior.
If its a table use tcode:SCMP..
U can always check the versions as Rudra mentioned utilities-> version management> two arrows.

Transport request giving an error

Hi Gurus,
I created a user exit in our DEV system and when I Wanted to transport that to QA I got the error saying
" Ended with return code: ===> 8 <==="
( 8: Transport carried out with errors.
Individual objects could not be transported successfully.)
The development class for this request consists of some screens and a message class.All are active (except message class)
Why do I get this error and How to come over it?

Try activating all the inactive objects first...
Release all the Task first and then the transport the Transport Request...

Large number of transport request released from Dev

Hello Gurus,
Our Landscape for Dev consist of three clients. We do development in one client and the testing teams test it in another client. We maintained all these clients in a route which takes around 10 mins to reach after releasing a transport and when testing team fails the test then we correct the error and again create a fresh transport and release it. I understand at some point we are going to reach Maximum number of transports.
Normally, If the tesing team fails the test two times. I create a test role in a testing client and request the user to test it. When everything goes well then I insert it into original role. But all this stuff takes time.
Please advise if there is any other way also to cut this short.

You could copy customizing transport requests via transaction SCC1. But personally I would not recommend this.
