Transport Request creation in ECC 6.0

Hi,
I am trying to do translations in SE63 and SE91( Message Class) in ECC6.0. I am not able to create Transport Request for the changes.Can any one help me in creating Transprot Request for translations in ECC6.0.
If possible can any one give me URLs where i can get details about ECC6.0

    Check in the table E071, search entries with TR number, and in the results the column OBJ_NAME will have creation date and time.
    Here you get all the details related to the TR.
    Or you can also go to se16 and and give the wild card E* and those are almost related to Transports table.

    While saving Characteristics and Classes, i am not getting any Transport Request Creation.
    Is there any problem with my configuration or the Standard SAP does not give me.
    I want to track all the things i am doing.

    Characteristics and class are master data so system will not ask for transport.
    if you want to migrate to another system than you have to create the LSMW (upload program)
    using this you can upload all the char value into release strategy in wach client
    now if you are migrating the whole client than system will copy the class and char along with release strategy but not value.
    to upload the char value of release strategy
    use LSMW with std  object 0130.

    Hi Kiran,
    Please check transaction & program /SAPSLL/TLC_CUSB_UPL in GTS.
    This allows you to upload the XML from a local source or an application server path.
    I do not think a transport request is required in this scenario.

  • Transport Request Creation.

    Hi,
    This is not an Issue, but I want advice from you people.
    In Materials Management, I am doing the following IMG Activities:
    a.     Copy plant
    b.     Maintain Purchasing Organization
    c.     Assign purchasing organization to company code
    d.     Assign purchasing organization to plant
    e.     Create Purchasing Groups
    While doing the above activities, I have created the following Requests:
    a.     IEDK900064: MM: Copy Plant, Assignment Plant-Company Code
    b.     IEDK900072: MM: Maintain Purchasing Organization
    c.     IEDK900076: MM: Create Purchasing Groups
    Please note that I have created the Transport Request based on the nature of the Activity, for example, I have saved activities b, c and d in the same Request.
    Here in our Team, the other Consultants are not agreeing with my way of working. They say that I should create only one Transport Request and save all my Activities in the same Transport Request.
    What is the better way to do the same?
    Please advice.

    Best practice change control experts would argue either way really.
    Assuming all your changes are related to one another, ie required to resolve the business request for change (RFC), then it makes perfect sence to do what you can to tie them all together. That is minimize the number of transport requests in order to make sure they are all treated as a single unit of work to ensure all are transported from DEV - QAS - PRD in a unified manner..
    However, as mentioned by others, this may not be the most sensible way to manage the work. For example if any of your config requires adjusting it might have been best to have each within its own transport request.
    Best practice change control would have some way of tying each transport request back to its source RFC so that when the RFC status is approved then each would be moved with the set treated as a single unit of work.
    There are SAP specific software tools available for this, SolMan CharM being one but there are also a number of third party options.

  • MM-BASIS Transport Request Creation

    Dear All,
    In a given implementation can a consultant create all his configuration into ONE request???
    If one wants to do so what extra precautions needs to be taken??
    How is it different form Normal request Creation??
    I have seen people in smaller implementations completing almost all the project in 15 requests in TOTAL,,,
    Any thoughts on this

    Hi,
    Theoretically you can combine some configuration in one change request, but it's not suggested! Because some customizing configuration should have different order, from my point of view, define a IMG project for the customizing configuration is a better method, this is the standard solution for SAP customzing via IMG. This is preferred!

    May be this solution is not suggested by SAP.but yes by hook and cook if you really urgent need this we can achieve this i tried by putting a breakpoint here in my system for testing.and i got result.
    just open include LSTRDF30 in se38.search for string   WHEN 'INSA'. here you can modify your code as below:
    CASE okcode.
        WHEN 'LOCK'.
          PERFORM append_to_order.
        WHEN 'OWNA'.                       " show own orders
          PERFORM show_own_orders.
        WHEN 'INSA'.                       " insert new order
    SET SCREEN 0. LEAVE SCREEN."this need to be add.
    exit.
          PERFORM insert_new_order.
        WHEN 'ATTR'.                       " object attributes
          SET SCREEN 0. LEAVE SCREEN.
    in such manner request will not be generate.
    but only access key is required.

  • Error while Importing Integration kit  Transport Requets into SAP ECC 5.0

    1.  AT BO side -> I can see the many roles, but under 'role import tab'  in CMC  when i add any 'role' and click on update button,
         system showing an  error as below .
       "Failed while trying to get user list using class CSecRfcRemoteUsersActGrp in method CSecSAPR3Binding::GetUsersInternal(). Error code: 3. Description: Syntax error in program /CRYSTAL/SAPLSECURITY .. "
    2. After successfull installation of integration kit on windows 2008 server, i have imported the transport request into SAP ECC    
       5.0 When i  imported open sql connectivity transport request, i got error mesage . The error message number is 8 and it came
      for Generation of programs and screens. i have installed sap gui 710 ( verion : 7100.1.0.1027).
      I also transported remaining transport request (infoset, row level, cluster definition, security functions) but all these request
      contain similar error. Now when i try to login into sap  its going dump.Is there any possibility of reverting back the transport
      requests.
      Pls help me to fix these issues.

    Earlier i have imported non unicode request numbers into sap unicode system.
    tats why i got error.
    Now i have imported unicode request number to unicode sap system with sequence.

  • Mandatory assignment of Project with Transport Request

    Hi All,
    I have to create project PRJ1 in Solman and configure it with DEV system client 400. So all the requests created in DEV 400 must be assigned to PRJ1 also the condition is users must be able to create request only in 400.
    There is also one client 410 in DEV where the consultant should do only testing (not customization) with sample data and all request shloud move from 400 to 410 by SCC1. And all the requests in 400 must get create only if assigned to project PRJ1.
    In this task, I created project in Solman and also maintained the DEV 400 in system landscape and IMG of DEV project in third tab of system landscape.
    But still my users are able to create request in 400 without project assignment. I also locked client 410 in SCC4, but some smart persons are opening client 410 and sometime creating request in it.
    Please suggest me how to make it mandatory in DEV 400 to make mandatory of project assignment while creating request, and how to block 410 to produce request apart from SCC4 control.

    to make the project assignment mandatory, make the following customizing in DEV - 400:
    1. transaction SE03 --> Display/Change Request Attributes
    2.Modify SAP_CTS_PROJECT attribute uing client specific checkbox (very important otherwise you will be blocked... to prevent transport request creation in other clients use SCC4 settings)

  • Transport Request for creating Organisation structure in DEV and Quality.

    Dear Gurus,
    I have a issue regarding transport request creation for creating organisation structure.
    My client has their own basis team,  Iam doing the customization in Dev server, when iam creating organsiation structure in dev server ( Easy Access) iam unable to generate transport request, Their basis team is saying that no transport request is created in easy access.
    My question is weather transport request is to be generated in Dev (Gloden client) for creating organsiation structure or not. Please guide me.

    You can try report RHMOVE00.
    It is up to you to either maintain the org structure in dev server and tranport to quality or maintain it directly in quality.

  • Error while uploading Transport request from SAP ECC6.0 EHP4 to SAP ECC 5.0

    Hi friends,
    Error while uploading transport request to the transport directory,
    we downloaded the transport request from one sap system which have a set of developments(contains screen programs)
    for example downloaded all co files and data files
    control file: K900470.SAD and Data file: R900470.SAP from transport directory.
    we are trying to upload the transport to another Sap system
    we have
    Uploaded the controlling file K900470.sad to the location  /usr/sap/transpad/cofiles/
    Uploaded the controlling file R900470.sad to the location  /usr/sap/transpad/data/
    we tried to add in the import queues using TCODE: STMS and trying to import.
    During import we get the below error:
    HALT: unknown dynpro format: d021s_length() returned 0 Please contact the SAP support.
    End with rc : 16
    Please help me on this
    We are trying to copy from ECC 6.0 EHP4 to SAP 5.0 and SAP 4.7EE

    Did you see that you tried to transport to an older release!! You should have expected such a result.
    Before doing such a thing, you should have looked at SAP notes to see SAP recommendations, if any. And you're lucky, there are ones: [Note 1090842 - Composite note: Transport across several releases|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1090842]. You need to know that ECC6 corresponds to SAP Basis 7.0, and ECC5 corresponds to SAP Basis 6.40.

    Does anyone know how to find the CREATION date for a released transport request? I've already checked table E070CREATE and it only has entries for modifiable requests.

    I think transport is released date field in E070 is overwritten with the releasing date.

    Does anybody know, how to create a Customizing transport request ( and it s task) and assign it some entry for a specific view ?
    I mean I m creating a program which can add/remove massively the entries in view for structural authorization T77PR,  and I would like when I change the entry add them in a new / selected transport.
    Is there any already built-in FMs for this ?

    Hi,
    Check out the following function modules.
    For assiging an object to a transport request, you need to first maintain a tadir entry (object - package assignment). The function TR_TADIR_INTERFACE provides this functionality. Then the objects an be inserted into the transport request using the FMs TR_OBJECT_CHECK & TR_OBJECT_INSERT. They 'll prompt the user for the transport request..
    If tadir entry is already maintained, you just need to call the other two functions..
    TR_TADIR_INTERFACE: for creating tadir entry for the object
    TR_OBJECT_CHECK: for object check. Required to be called before inserting into a transoprt request
    TR_OBJECT_INSERT: for inserting the object into the transport request.
