Treasury Memo Records - Expiration Date FF7B and FF63

Hi,
When I create a memo record in transaction FF63, or directly in transaction FF7B, the expiration date that I insert has no meaning in the cash management and forecast report. That is, even after the expiration date, when I analyze my forecast the memo records do not disappear. The value remains in the report, which means that we must archive or delete the memo record mannualy.
How can I make the memo record disappear automatically in the expiration date?
Can you help, please?
Best regards,
Lénia

Chaikaru,
I understand the setting in the archival type where you can say how long it can stay in the system. But in our situation we cannot wait until 6 months to archive the memo records.
We get current day bank statements, mutiple times during the day. We get it at 8.00 AM, 10.00 AM, 12.00 Noon and 1.00 PM. These are uploaded into SAP and Memo records are created. These memo records are displayed in FF7A to view the cash position.
The cash manager comes in at 8.00 AM into the office and runs FF7A. Based on this report, they take their investment decisions and enter into transaction with counterparties.
The next statement comes at 10.00 AM. We first archive all the memo records created at 8.00 AM using FF6A, uplaod the new statement received at 10.00 AM using FF_5, create memo records using FPS3. Then when we run FF7A we get the latest cash position report. Based on this report, the Cash Manager makes adjustment to the investment decision he made at 8.00 AM. This process goes on until 1.00 PM.  If we don't archive every 2 hours, there will be double counting inthe FF7A report.
So even though the Archival type says you can archive after 6 months or 12 months, we cannot keep the records for more than 2 hours in the system, We archive it every two hour or as the new statement comes in.
IN this situation, how can you get a past dated cash position report? Can we retrieve the memo records from archive and run the report for a specific date in the past?
Thanks
Kalyan

  • URM expiration date default

    Hello All,
I am having troubles with my content not expiring. I have a custom metadata field called xVIPExpirationDt. This field is for the user to record the date that they want the content to expire. What I want to happen is for the content to actually expire on this date. In my simple profile I tried a script that would derive the expiration date from xVIPExpirationDt but it doesn't seem to be working correctly.
so, please help me figure out how to make sure the content expires when the custom metadata field is equal to the current date.
Also, I am trying to better understand the difference between the Record Expiration Date and the Expiration Date. What are the affects of each and when would they each be used?
    Thanks!

thank you for that advice. I had tried doing that using a simple profile, and on the scripts tab, adding the idoc code to set the default but still had issues, so I ended up unhiding the delivered expiration date, removing the custom expiration date I had created, changing the display label on the delivered expiration date to match what was previously on the custom expiration date and then everything seemed to work fine from there.
I had not realized the importance of having the delivered expiration date filled in until none of my content were able to expire.
    Thanks again for responding.

    hi,
I am using sql*loader to load data from data file and i have written control file for it. How do i skip last '5' records of data file or the footer records to be skiped to read.
For first '5' records to be skiped we can use "skip" to achieve it but how do i acheive for last '5' records.
    2)
Can I mention two data files in one control file if so what is the syntax(like we give INFILE Where we mention the path of data file can i mention two data file in same control file)
    3)
If i have datafile with variable length (ie 1st record with 200 charcter, 2nd with 150 character and 3rd with 180 character) then how do i load data into table, i mean what will be the syntax for it in control file.
4)if i want to insert sysdate into table through control file how do i do it.
    5) If i have variable length records in data file and i have first name then white space between then and then last name, how do i insert this value which includes first name and last name into single column of the table.( i mean how do you handle the white space in between first name and last name in data file)
    Thanks in advance

I kept watching this forum for an answer and noticed one item where the user indicated that after a failure repeated attempts to clean and align heads 'magically' worked.  I had not used the printer for a week and decided to give it one more try.  It worked.  The printer is just fine after sitting idle for a week and then trying the clean followed by align.  It would still be interesting to understand why.  I'm glad I didn't run out to buy more cartridges and throw this one out.

  • Data package and data packet

    Hit
i want to know the difference between data package and data packet .when this comes in sap bw
    with regards
    tushar

    Hello,
Data package term is related to DTP which is used to load Data from PSA to further Data Targets
Start and end routine works at package level so routine run for each package one by one .By default package have sorted data based on keys (non unique keys (characteristics )of source or target) and by setting semantic keys you can change this order. So Package having more data will take more time in processing then package have lesser data .
Data Packet Term is related to Info Package which is used to load data from Source System to BI (PSA).
As per SAP standard, we prefer to have 50,000 records per one data packet.
For every data packet, it does commit & save --- so less no. of data packets required.
If you have 1 lakh records per data packet and there is an error in the last record, the entire packet gets failed.
    Hope it helps!

I want to delete a concurrent program and all related records (including data definition and templates) from a development region. Does FND_PROGRAM.delete_program remove all records or will I end up with orphaned records? If records are left behind, which tables would I need to clean up?

  • Memo Records and CJ48

    Hello Experts,
I have 2 scenarios in mind and I dont know how to go further with it in SAP.
    1. While creating Cash position, usually we are using Memo Records to plan manually outgoings or incomings. Is there any way through which  planned payments and receipts in projects through CJ48 can be part of cash position? I know both the concepts are different and functionalities are different but I think it will be duplication of work if project people and finance people plan the same thing differently.
    2. I am not sure about how to settle Memo records while doing Bank Reconciliation. If someone help me to understand the same then it will be of great help.
    Thanks in advance!
    Bhargav

    Hi,
Memo records are information which will help you to make your Investment/Borrowing decisions. You need Memo records because this information is not available as a transaction in SAP. For e.g. you use SAP as your ERP but the payroll is done in some other system. SAP will be updated only after the actual payroll file from the other system is uploaded. This will normally happen only after the actual payment.  But before that you need this information in your Cash Position and Liquidity Forecast report (FF7A or FF7B). In order to have this information you can enter the payroll amount as a Memo record.
Memo records do not update your GL. They are just informational and they expire as soon as the transaction is entered in SAP.
Payroll is just an example and this can be used in many different ways. For e.g. you can use this for quarterly tax payments, Purchase orders (if they are not maintained in SAP) etc. You have to be very careful in using Memo Records because it may lead to double counting if you do not expire them/Archive them before the actual transaction is entered.

  • Memo record (FF63) reflection in FF7A

Colleagues, I am trying to align my understanding of process of bank funds transfer. Please correct me if I am wrong.
    1.     Advice document creation in FF63. Two advice documents are created (for 1st bank account and for 2nd bank account).
    2.     After creation memo records, are these record reflected in FF7A transaction or not?
    3.     Payment request creation in FF.D. After payment request creation the memo records are archived automatically. Are any records reflected in FF7A transaction or not?
    4.     Run F111 and the payment proposal and then payment order are created. Is the posting in FI done during the F111 run?
    5.     On the next day EBS comes and FF_5 makes the loading of EBS to the system. Are actual transfers reflected in FF7A transaction or not?
    Regards,
    Olga

    Hi,
Is it possible, on the selection screen, your scaling is too high for the amount you are posting?. So, if you are posting 100 and your scaling is 3, amount would show as 0.
    Also, under
    Cash Management
    Structuring
    Manual Planning
    Define Planning Types
The planning type that you are using for memo record is assigned to a planning level that is included in structuring for your grouping, right? In FF7A, the memo record would show up for this planning level; not the planning level in the GL master.
Also, if the above is not an issue, does GL posting to that bank account show up in the cash position; what about bank statement?
I'm assuming cash position is otherwise working and cash management has been activated (FDFD).

  • How To Change Default Expiration Date for Portal User in Linux and Windows?

    Hello,
I have a couple of environments I recently installed:
    1. Oracle Application Server 10 Release 2 (10.1.2) SEOne on Windows
    2. Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2) Enterprise Edition on Linux
I heard the portal and orcladmin user passwords will expire in about 60 days. I want to prevent this from happening. How can I set the expiration date to never expire for both these users? Or at least give me some warning?
I heard that you can do this through the Oracle Directory Manager. However, I am unsure as which server to enter on the field. I've used the following:
    <servername>.hostname.com/389
    <DBname>.hostname.com/389
They say 389 is the default port. Since I did not really
    Does anyone have any ideas?

You have the answer in yours hands:
Search for "60 days" in the forum
How can I enfore Password Expiry Without Lockout?
    for instance.
For the servername, it's the name of your server and the port is depending of your platform (have a look to $ORACLE_HOME_INFRA/install/portlist.ini) and
chech the value for: Oracle Internet Directory port

  • Generate a series of waveforms and record the data in a file

    Win7
Labview 8.5 or 10 (can choose)
    PXI-1033 rack with:
    PXI-5421 AWG
    PXI-4071 DMM
    PXI-6542 Digital IO
    PXI-4110 DCPower
    PXI-5124 Digitizer
I am working on a summer project to create a functional test system for four different types of PCBs. I will use a test rig as an interface to these PCBs, where each type will be identified by its position. Please see attached UML as to how I want the program to run.
I want a user settings box pop up when the application is started, where the operator must enter his name and choose which type of board. Further, after entering these details, I want the application to start testing according to which type of board is in the system and which type the operator indicates (the user prompt for card details is just a precaution).
I am trying to figure out what sort of architecture I should use for the LV part of it. So far I've managed to run the AWG and digitizer as two seperate VIs, but I've read a little bit about using the Producer/Consumer architecture, and want to know if this is a good idea? And which parts should be where? The AWG will input data to the PCB, which will be recorded by the digitizer and then testet using a mathscript and recorded to file.
So I figure I have to use some sort of event and sequence structure. For example, I want to output two sinusoidal signals with different frequencies after each other and check the voltage amplitude of the scoped output signal and record this.
If someone could point me in a direction of how to start, I would be very happy. After looking through some of the topics here, I have seen that it is often suggested to use the producer/consumer architecture, so before I do a lot of work which I might have to re-do I want to ask for help will post my solutions as I go.

  • Find record insert date and time in a table

    Hi All,
I want to get record insert date and time in a table. There is no datetime column in my table. Are there any possibility to get date and time for each record?
    Thank You

Thats not easy. If your transaction info still resides on active portion of the log you can use fn_dblog to read out the time at which the transactions occurs. This is useful only if you try it shortly after transaction.
the code would look like this
    SELECT *
    FROM fn_dblog(null,null)
    WHERE [Transaction Name] LIKE 'INSERT%'
    OR [Transaction Name] LIKE 'UPDATE%'

    Hello Mohammed,
I am a new user from Liquidity Planner and I am having difficult to classify an memo (created by F-47) record to a correct liquidity item (this document is going to BUFFER). Is there any way to classify this automatically, for example, using any type of field?

  • Debit memo will be finded two record after be modified and reconfirmed.

We have set two types of debit memo in system, itu2019s LV and DR, it have a process of confirm before invoicing, when a new LV debit memo has been confirmed first then revoked, it has been modified and reconfirmed second, we found the LV debit memo built two terms in billing due list and the first record was remained even the memo was deleted, so I think it may be a bug of system

The gist of it is, run the phone line (with caller) through the telephone interface and into a channel on the mixer, where you can control the callers volume, and tweak the eq (if the mixer supports that). Run your voice through the microphone, into another channel on the mixer, where you can control your volume and tweak your eq if the mixer supports it. Run the output of the mixer to Audition.
Nothing wrong with this at all, but I think that one particular point isn't perhaps quite as clear as it could be - and that is that ideally, you should pan the channels (assuming it's a stereo output) so that for the initial recording, the caller is on one channel, and that you are on the other. That way, you don't have to worry so much during the interview that you're keeping all the levels exactly as they should be, and can concentrate on the interview itself. Then, after the event you can optimise just the caller channel so that it sounds best, without worrying about having to select bits of caller from two channels mixed.
The other thing I should mention is that the best results I've had from doing something similar involve a small mixer, with outputs panned pretty much as described, and using Skype. With a little care, you can almost get it sounding like the caller is in the studio with you.
