Cannot install Trend Micro WFBS 7 on Lion. System freez during setup

Hard to tell from here.... First check the requirements from Trend for this version.  If you have very limited RAM or available space it may not be appropriate.  Also, many folks do not install any AV real time scanners or Exchange email scanners
on their servers, rather allowing their mail to be cleaned before it comes to them by third party mail hygiene "in the cloud".  And Trend Micro offers this service as part of Worry Free Business Advanced.

    Several days ago firefox wanted to upgrade and I refused because trend micro was not supported. Today it automatically made the change. I have trend micro and your message said it would not work. I would think that an antivirus program would be one of the most important features to be able to work. Either fix it or tell me how to roll back to the other version. If you cannot I am dumping firefox and going back to internet explorer. So for now I am closing this window and using IE untill I hear from you

    I've had almost every issue you've had.  Finally on Friday the screen blacked out.  It was obviously still charged, since I could hear the message ring, but when I tried to light up the display it didn't light so I was unable to get to it unless I removed the battery.  Then, as soon as the display timed out, I couldn't get it lit up again without removing battery.  I had the same slow movements throughout the display as well as slow text messaging.  Every issue you had other than the alarm clock (that always worked well).
    I took it in yesterday and, after over an hour spent there with a 'professional', I still had no answers.  He told me to come home and copy everything from my sd card to my computer, then re-format my card.  Well, my phone didn't even recognize that I had an sd card installed!!  Nor did my computer! 
    So then I got to experimenting...I removed the card and viola!!!!!!  The phone worked GREAT!  It's never worked so fast!  I then installed my husbands sd card to see if it was my phone's card reader or my card.  Turns out that the phone still worked great with his card installed and it did recognize his card in my phone.  So, my conclusion is that I need a new card.  I couldn't believe the difference in speed of everything!  It's like a brand new phone! 
    As for the hard reset...I did that over the weekend, before I could get to a verizon store.  It didn't work at all.
    I'd say, do the same thing I did and see if that works.  Can't hurt!!!  Please keep me posted.  I'd like to see what you find out

  • When we installed Firefox 4.0, found it is not compatible with Trend Micro. How can I go back to the older version of Firefox until Trend builds a compatible version??

    On add-ons manager, I see that Trend Micro NSC Firefox Extention 6.5.0.1234 is not compatible with Firefox 4.0.1. I have contacted Trend and been told that their builders have not yet created a product that is compatible. I think this means that I should revert to an older version of Firefox until my internet security is updated. How do I do this? I'm clueless. :) Or, is there a better solution?

    Try booting up in Safe mode (holding down the Shift key while booting). If the software came with an unistaller, use it to remove alll traces of the software - it's nothing that you need and, as you've experienced, can do more actual hard than good (as is the case with most software of this type). When you're booted in Safe Mode, if you can't run an uninstaller, at least check to make sure that there are no Trend Micro items that are set for automatic log in, at least.

    I am having trouble with an email attachment that I received. I use an icloud email account and am accessing it from the Mail app on my iPhone. The attachment is a PDF file but when I try to open it, the file only contains this message:
    "Trend Micro Antivirus has quarantined the previously attached file, if this is a genuine file please contact Consortium Group to have it unblocked."
    I do not have any sort of antivirus protection on my phone or on any of my devices. It would seem odd to me if the sender's antivirus would quarantine an outgoing message. So I am struggling to work out where the message was quarantined.
    The attachment has also been renamed to:
    "TREND_MICRO_ANTIVIRUS_QUARANTINED_ATTACHMENT.TXT"
    I don't really want to ask the sender to resend the email because this is rather important and I don't want to seem incompetent and cause a hassle. So that would be a last resort but I may end up with the same result...
    I don't know who Consortium Group are or how to contact them. Do they actually have the pre-quarantined attachment that I am after or do they just modify their filters to allow it to be resent correctly?
    Any ideas on how to retrieve the attachment? Any clue as to at what stage and why it was quarantined?

  • I installed Firefox 4 and it's telling me that the Trend Micro NCS extension is not compatible.

    1. What is the NCS extension? I have no idea. Is it necessary?
    2. Does this compromise my computer in an IMPORTANT way when surfing the internet? If so, then how do I go back to the previous version.
    3. Please don't tell me to go to Trend Micro's site. I did, and they have no information whatsoever.

    Hello
    We have bought a laptop and trend micro anti-virus +antispyware software  about a month ago at Best Buy. Trend micro was already preinstalled on a laptop.
    For some reason we needed to reinstall system an a laptop. So after reinstallation we tried to install Trend Micro from the CD that we got from Best Buy
    But this time it said that license expires in a month even thought we bought Trend Micro for about $50 and not a trial version.
    Can this problem because of the fact that this software is only for 1 personal computer and after system reinstallation it thinks that it is another computer ?
    Or what is the reason for it?

    Not a problem. I would contact the store and let them know that when you purchased the PC, you were not charged for the Trend Micro. I believe we are still offering 6 months free with the purchase of a PC.

    You go into task then  Setup & review computer reports, uncheck  and clear out the e-mail address, then hit ok
    then you exit network magic and go through and open windows task manager end services on NM services end task on nmctxth
    then restart Network Magic and redo the first part I discribed only now enable by clicking on the box and entering an e-mail address
    don't forget to confirm by checking your e-mail for the confirmation letter
    then in 24hrs it'll be back up.
    If that all don't work it's a current server issue and will be resolved by Monday

    Firefox 4RC will not permit the operation of the Trend Micro Toolbar add-in, this feature worked OK in Version 3.6

    This happens with every major Firefox upgrade. I went through this when upgrading from 2 to 3. For some reason it breaks certain third party plugins. It breaks my password manager, too. It takes months for an update from the vendors. I cannot believe that Firefox can't warn companies before making drastic changes. The big problem is that these are major security protection measures which are disabled by the browser. It is tiresome to have to tweak settings and disable critical extensions with each new upgrade.

    negotiating the screen changes just to ask a simple question took me through 9 screen changes already!!! why the "screen testing"? I am not trying to get a part in a movie.     Current supported version is 7.3 which is EOL by Trend Micro

    I doubt it. This product has transitioned to the Linux-based appliance model in 8.0. There isn't a whole lot of testing/development going on with the Windows-based OS model any more.  You would need to ask your Cisco Account Manager for an official answer though.
