Treo Pro No Vibration on any setting

About a week ago my Treo Pro stopped vibrating entirely.The phone will not vibrate when the switch is set to silent, or with ringer on, or for text messages, or during the phone boot up. When it's set to ringer the sound notification works properly.
I've checked all the settings and they are correctly set to vibrate on incoming calls. I just performed a hard reset and went to factory settings and this still did not resolve the issue.
Has anyone else had this issue? Any known solutions?
Should I be requesting an RMA for this?
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

If you are having the issue after the hard reset, it looks like the Treo may need to be repaired.
You can call the Palm smartphone support line to setup a repair. Here is the number. 1-877-426-3777.

Windows Mobile devices doe not have this function at least out straight foward of the box, will require the use of a 3rd-party SMS application. PalmOS smartphones have an upping here with its templates folder but in your case you could try making SMS drafts and use those as a "group template."

Problem setting up MobileMe on a new Palm Treo Pro

I have a new Palm Treo Pro, but the performance of my .me account has been quirky at best.
When I set up my .me account on my Palm, all of the mail floods in and populates my mail folders. After that, however, I can't receive any mail. Moreover, I'm not sure if my mail is making it out.
Has anyone had this problem? I would really like to know how to set up my Outlook account on my Treo Pro so this works properly.

Problem solved. The ipad default is set to IMAP. When I changed it to a POP server, problem solved.

Bought referbished macbook pro oct 2011 version, just set it up using time machine and quicklime pro has disappeared. I have quicktime but not quicktime pro. Any ideas? thanks!

Try, in preferences, resetting 64 bit to 32 bits. Should work fine. the older vidoes, etc will not work with 64 bit. Had the same problem/scare. Let us know if this helps and works!

ATT data setting for Palm Treo Pro

I can no longer access the internet with my Palm Treo Pro. My service provider is ATT and they were not able to provide me with the data settings. I have searched high and low but haven't been able to find them anywhere - I'd appreciate any help. It is a huge pain only being only to access internet/email at wifi hotspots!

Generically, your current settings should be here:
Start > Settings > Connections tab > Tasks tab > "Manage existing connections"
I am a Sprint customer, so don't know what yours should say. Did they walk you through re-creating your "Modem" connection in this dialog?

Text options on Treo Pro.

Hi everybody. So I have the Treo pro, and I was just wondering, in the text conversations, is there any way to change the conversation display from showing "ME" to my actual name? I like it to say 'Tiffany' instead. I know I was able to change it on my Centro, but I haven't been able to do it on this phone (if it's even possible). So does anyone know if there is that option on the Pro?

Learn to love "view options" and "preferences" and "options".
In every app on a mac and in the finder, there is somewhere that you can set your preferred font and font size.
Which sizes and which fonts are something that you should experiment with to see what suits you and your eyes.
I use small font sizes but that is what suits me; you need to choose your own. Play with the apps and look at what is available to you.
(the standard font sizes in windows apps were so large that they were crazy when I had to infrequently use a windows machine.)

Treo Pro Error Message 530 5.7.1 Relaying not allowed cannot send Email from pop acct

I just purchased the treo pro thru Sprint. I love the phone I just cant seem to figure out the proper settings for my outgoing POP Email acct. Every time I set up the settings properly and attempt to send an email I get an error message "530 5.7.1 Relaying not allowed". I get this message with the outgoing server set to smtp.sprintpcs.com and i receive this error message through an "undeliverable" Email in the same account I am attempting to send from. When I have the account set to my ISP's outgoing server mail.optonline.net it will only send email if I have my device set to WIFI mode..... Any ideas? Thanks.

Treo Pro locking on incoming call

My Treo has the habit on "locking buttons and screens" on incoming calls. If I don't answer quickly, nothing works anymore and the call is abandoned. Quickly means less then 10 seconds!
Is there a way to stop this from happening?
I've went through all settings, but nothing seems to prevent this from happening. I have the impression it's getting worse.

Be sure that your SIM card is updated for 3G, also that your network settings is been updated as well. The network settings is something you would need to talk to your carrier about. The term to use is called reprovision. Basically they remove your account from the network and add it back in with updated settings and if the setting where correct but it should resolve any other issue like if the settings were corrupted.
If you do not want to talk to your carrier or this does not resolve your issue the next step is to hard reset the device.

Washed out background image on Treo Pro

Hi:
When I set my background image on my today screen (check the box in settings, browse to image - use 320x320 resolution) I get a "washed out" version of the image regardless of its original color, tone or intensity. Images from the preinstalled themes are fine - vibrant and clear - but the user set images are very light (almost like a 50 percent transparency in Photoshop for example). I have tried both .jpg format and .png. Backlight settings do not cure this either.
Any ideas?

Hi Again:
Upon further investigation, I have discovered that the options for setting background and transparency levels is found through the pictures and videos explorer not the file explorer.
As suggested I have set the transparency to 0 and the image (Crab Nebula through the Hubble space telescope) is as bright and vibrant as it should be.

Hide SIM contacts on Treo Pro???

I just got a Treo Pro and cannot figure out how to hide the SIM contacts after I sync. I used SIM manager to import all of my contacts so I can assign tones/pics, etc. and now I have duplicates in my contacts. Is there any way to hide the SIM contacts from the list? Thanks in advance from a newbie!

There is no setting to hide SIM contacts on the device. If this is something you do not want you would need to pick either the handheld or the SIM card and delete them from that location. Honestly I would keep them on the phone and sync them to Outlook where you can keep a back up there if you need to.

Space button on Treo Pro (sprint) takes me back to Home

Hello,
I just had an odd thing happen yesterday. When I looked at my phone, some settings were changed - my digital clock display for time got set to analog. I switched it back thinking it wasn't a big deal. Anyway later when I try to text, every time I hit space after s set of letters it will exit Messaging and take me back Home. I can press space multiple times, but if it comes after I start typing any letters, after the 3rd letter, it will exit. I also tried the transcriber and other input methods and it does the same. So somehow the Space key in messaging has been changed. I tried a battery pull and it didn't resolve the settings.
Is there any way to resolve this by not having to Hard Reset?

Windows Update on Treo Pro is Unsuccessful

Ongoing issues on Treo Pro with Windows Update application. Error Message always received is "Connection to the update server is not available. Check your data connection settings and ensure the device date and time are correct." Under the View Details section the Result code is 80072ee7. Data connection is active and functioning for internet connectivity and Microsoft Exchange active Synch. Date/time is being set by network. As such error and inability to connect is unexplained by error message. Review of Windows Mobile website did not indicate any updates available.

Internet on Treo Pro (GSM) not working

If I want to access the internet to browse webpages on my Treo Pro, I do not get anything while connecting through GPRS. When connected through Wifi it does work. I think it is not the internetconnection itself since I do receive my e-mails through GPRS; it does connect without problem. However, while browsing the internet internet explorer hangs while trying to find a webpage. What can be wrong?

I'm having the same problem and have asked for a new phone. I worked with tech support with Bell, did hard resets twice and they even took me off their system and put me back on ... all to no avail. The internet is not working. If my Treo Pro is sitting on the cradle, connected to my PC, the internet works fine, but when I take it off, an error message says, "Cannot Connect: Cannot connect wth the current connection settings. To change your connection settings, tap Settings." The tech people told me to go to settings and manage "My Work Network / Manage Existing Connections." There, all I do is make sure the number is #777 and that's all. After a hard reset, it clears this connection setting. So I can still not connect to the internet unless it's connected to the PC via the USB cable / cradle. Something else must be set up wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Email setup on Treo Pro

I live in Australia and use the carrier Telstra but there are no aussie support forums.
I have set up my email for my Internode Pop 3 account the same way I did for the old Palm Centro and as per instructions on the Palm site. The Palm Centro worked fine but I cannot get email with my Treo UNLESS I also have my wifi on and near an access point. Just trying to get it through the phone as I did with the Centro does not work as keep gettin g"error synchronising" as soon as I hit send/receive. I assume it is probably something simple I am doing wrong given that the actual settings work through wifi but Telstra are hopeless and really no one seems to know anything here about this particular model. I use WAP as my network as I did previously but not sure if I should be using another network eg My ISP? Realise many of you would have no experience with Telstra but any advice appreciated.

The Australian support number - depending on where you call from - is either continuously busy, or is 'out of service'.
Given that it's no longer listed on the Palm page, I'm going with the latter.
