TREX 7.0 RFC blues

I am setting up the RFC connections like described in the guide. I can make the RFC connection without problem. Then when doing the actual connect something goes wrong. The guide says I should press "Repair All" to start the Trex RFC server. When I do that I only get this error message: "Error: signalDaemon"
-AD

Hi Silvia,
You create an RFC destination from the TREX admin tool inturn the RFC destination gets generated in your ECC server under TCP connections.
Have you started the TREX Server in your TREX admin tool after creating the RFC destination? Until you start the server the RFC destination doesnot work.
To start the server, start TREX admin then goto RFC here you can see a connect push button by clicking on which your trex server connects to the ECC server.
I can help you better if you send me the screenshots of the error you are getting.

Shirish

  • TREX Full Search via CV04N Displays DIR Hits While EasyDMS Search Shows All

    Hello All,
I've searched for information on this and have not yet located an answer so I hope this has not already been addressed even though I think it is somewhat basic.  We have recently installed EasyDMS and TREX to enhance our existing DMS capabilities.  In our testing, we have found that EasyDMS's Full Text capability through TREX is reporting and displaying hits at the document file level whereas DMS CV04N Full Text capability is only showing hits at the document info record level.  Is there something that we have missed for the DMS CV04N capability to not display in the same fashion as the EasyDMS search capability?  For those users using CV04N, they will be disappointed to only find that the hit was at the DIR level and forcing them to find the document file that really contains the hit if multiple files exist in a DIR.
    Thanks - RIchard.

  • TREX 7.1

    Hi,
I am new for TREX and I need to install and configure TREX 7.1 (RFC) on Windows 2003. I have a question. Please help me.
For DEV/QA/Production we need to go for multiple hosts/instances, we are using F5 for load balancing for all other systems (R/3, BW, CRM installed on AIX).
We are planning TREX on windows environment; does F5 will support load balancing between TREX instances?
    OR
Microsoft Cluster?? TREX system would support Microsoft Cluster environment?
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Simon,
TREX 7.0 can be used with EP-KM in NW2004 as well.
TREX 7.1 has not yet been released.

I'm trying to connect to an RFC connection that was setup with the TREX Administration tool to connect to my SRM system and I get 'Error: too many values to unpack'
When in the SRM system in transaction TREXADMIN the RFC tests ok.

  • TREX 7.0 Compatible with NetWeaver 7.01 ?

    Hi Experts,
Currently I have an NW 7 EHP1 ABAP system and a TREX 7.0 system connected using RFC connection. When trying to create indexes in TREX using Enterprise Search, below error occurred:
TREX 7.00 RFC Server Not supported TREX_RFC_SERVIC
It seems to me that TREX 7.0 is not compatible with NW7 EHP 1, can someone please confirm? Because upgrading from TREX 7.0 to 7.1 woud require OS upgrade as well, so if TREX upgrade can be avoided it would be great.
Any idea would be very nice and appreciated.
    Thanks
    Luis

    Hi Rajesh,
Thanks very much for your reply. Can you please let me know if you're running embedded search? My scenario was embedded search and it failed with SAP give message : "TREX 7.00 RFC Server not supported ".
    Best regards

  • Indexing for Business Partner Duplicate check((Manual Account Creation)

    Hi,
We are working on a BP de-duplication functionality in SAP CORM. We have implemented all the necessary steps for de-duplication. But, we are facing one issue while trying to initially index the data using program - 'SIC_BAS_RADII' using the following input parameters:
    Field Name Entry
    Object Type BUT
    Object Subtype PARTNER
    Index Pool Table BUT
    Index Pool Field PARTNER
    Service Name NORMALIZE_INDEX
Service Profile Profile defined in the configuration of the services
Once we execute this program, it keeps on running for hours. Even after that we are not getting any successful completion message or any report related to its success execution.
We also have option to index BAS_BUPA using t-code SES_ADMIN. Can this be considered as an alternative to program 'SIC_BAS_RSADRINI' ?
Please let us know where are we going wrong in our execution steps/input parameters.  Anyone who has previously worked on this functionality, please help?
    Regards,
    Amit

    Hi Amit,
To run the duplicate check you first need to activate the implementations SIC_ADDRESS_SEARCH of the BAdI ADDRESS_SEARCH and SIC_ADDRESS_UPD_TREX of the BAdI ADDRESS_UPDATE.
You can search for duplicates by creating/changing a business partner only if the previous created busines partners were indexed (in TREX) aftre their saving.
    1. Activate both implementations.
    2. For indexing in TREX you need a RFC-destination to TREX. This RFC destination should be maintained in TA SES_ADMIN as following:
Transaction SES_ADMIN   > Goto Customizing  > System Settings.
Here should you enter the RFC destination for TREX.
    3. After you maintained the RFC destination for TREX, start SES_ADMIN
Index   > Create/Activate Indexes, select BAS_BUPA and press continue
    4. Before you begin to work with checking duplicates you should do an initial indexing of the already existent business partners from BUT000. Therefore you should start the Report SIC_BAS_RSADRINI with the proposed parameters.
    5. After that each saved BP will be indexed and will be available for checking duplicates by the creation of new BPs.
Please check: Transaction SES_ADMIN-> TREX Admin-> Queue Administration -> Function Set Queue Parameters
    Select the Queue ID  .....BAS_BUPA___1
and set the parameter Replicate After Synchronize   > On.
                          Schedule Time                  All-0:01
Eventually, you can start again the report SIC_BAS_RSADRINI and after 1 minute the data will be indexed in TREX.
You can have a look also to sap help:

  • Full text search in Filenet via SAP DMS

    Hello experts,
Hopefully you can help me with the following. My customer has SAP DMS and uses FileNet (v4.0) as content repository. They use Verity as tool for full text search (SAP and non-SAP). Verity has it's own user interface / search screen. Question is if it is possible for SAP (easy)DMS users to do full text search (via CV04N or EasyDMS searchscreen) and search in the FileNet repository (directly with TREX or via Verity). The customer has the ACSAP connector up and running.
I've implemented TREX with SAP content server and index server before, but I'm not familiar with FileNet possibilities in that area, so hopefully someone has experience with this?
    thanks in advance, Erwin

For text search you have activate TREX Server
    follow the steps
    Set TREX
    A:- Transaction: SRMO
Install TREX , and create RFC destination to connect to
    TREX.
    B:- Transaction: SKPR06

  • No Business Objects visible in SES_ADMIN

    Hi ,
I have installed TREX and created RFC for the TREX. But I cannot see any Business Object in SES_ADMIN transaction.
While I can see 504 BO's in the table TOJTB
    What could be missing ?
Atleast the BO for the flight model shoudl come in SES_ADMIN
    Can anyone guide?
    Regards
    Purva

you have to define objects for indexing first.
in order to do that try the following from SES_ADMIN menu:
goto ->customizing -> Business Objects and Indexes
there you have to create new entries for your objects: define objects in folder "Setting for Business objects" and then for added entries goto "Settings for Object Types" and define according parameters. After that the objects must be visible.
    this must help

  • Settings HV segmentation

    Hi,
We have installed the TREX server and RFC connection is created.
How do we do the initial data load in TREX and how indexes are to be created?
    Thanks,
    Apoorv

    Hi Klaus
    thanks for your reply.
As i understand this program is for monitoring the load and to get the index.
let me put my requirement clearly.
    1. iIn SM 59 I can see my RFC destination and teh connection test was successful.
    2. When i run the prog "CRM_MKTTG_TREX_UPDATE" for the initial load i am getting a message in error log saying the "No TREX sys connected"
Am i using the right prog? if so are there any other configuration settings to be done before executing the program.
    Thanking you in advance,
    regards

  • XI - EP integration using the TREX RFC Connction

    Hi Experts,
Is there a document on XI - TREX integration using the RFC connection. I need to build an application in EP where I would search for messages in the XI box based on certain input parameters. The search would happen using the TREX engine which in turn has indexes of all XI messages.

  • Adding an HTTP Connection to TREX previously installed with RFC Connection

    Hi All,
On an existing TREX installation (7.0) with a RFC connection configured, is it possible to add an HTTP connection, or is it necessary to re-install the TREX with both connections?
    Thanks,
    Liz

    Hi Liz,
No, it should not be necessary. If you are using a Windows system you'll finde more info on [SAP Help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/ef/50688acaa0ff4aa23a23e74e8c9e73/frameset.htm].
    Kind regards,
