Please help ?

I realize this is months old but posting in case somone else Googles the error the same way I did and comes across this thread.
I received this same error when I was attempting to install the trial.  Somehow the install directory was set to "Read-Only".
Once I unticked that it installed just fine.

    I searched for the GUID from what appears to be the key message: "OS Requirements not met for {667C8B6C-3EAF-4646-A8EC-D85CCC4D3D84}"
    I found a lot of people reporting that one.  Several claimed to have gotten through it after working through this page:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/829/cpsid_82942.html
    At least one person said that creating another user account on the computer cleared up the problem, and others have said that either running the installer as administrator or temporarily turning UAC all the way down have helped.
    Good luck.

  • Photoshop CS5 install error/App Manager- log attached

    Hello,
    I've been trying to use the Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition to create a Photoshop CS5 installer with the serial key and updates already packaged. I've done other packages in the Creative Suite fine (Dreamweaver and Flash Professional), but the Photoshop installer is quitting out and the errorlog isn't spitting out anything I find useful as far as debugging. However, someone might be able to give me some insight.
    The log can be found here
    There are two there, I believe. Both exit with the same error.
    - 1 fatal error(s), 0 error(s), 1 warning(s)
    WARNING: The payload: Adobe Photoshop  CS5 Core  {7DFEBBA4-81E1-425B-BBAA-06E9E5BBD97E} requires a UI parent  with following specification:
            Family: Photoshop
            ProductName: Adobe Photoshop CS5 Core_x64
            This parent relationship is not satisfied, because this payload is not present in this session.
    FATAL ERROR: Cannot mix install/repair actions with remove actions in a deployment file.
    Please search the above error/warning string(s) to find when the error occurred.
    It mentions x64, but I kept checked the box that makes the installer 32-bit rather than the 64 bit version.
    And yes the machine is 32bit, running XP, but the installer will also need to be compatible with Windows 7 as well.
    Any insight would be appreciated. If we can get these pre-serialed and updated installers worker it would save us a valuable amount of time with machine deployments.

  • SOLUTION - Photoshop CS5 Runtime Error, R6025, runtime c++

    Hello All CS5 Photoshop Users.
    You have been getting an error on Photoshop CS5 Runtime Error, R6025 C++ in 64bit
    I finally figured the solution for this.
    What you have to do is this:
    Uninstall all the Runtimes x86 x64 for 2005, 2008, 2010
    Uninstall the entire CS5 Photoshop.
    Go to your C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop (64bit)\Plugins\
    Delete any 3rd party plugins
    Go to C:\Program Files (86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop\Plugins\
    Delete any 3rd party plugins
    Reboot
    Re-install CS5 Photoshop, when selecting the installation make sure to install 32bit and 64bit, when you are installing 64bit and you select it will also select 32bit, install the CS5 Photoshop.
    Now install the Runtimes from Microsoft x86 x64 for 2005, 2008, 2010
    Confirm the size of the runtimes from microsoft with cs5 photoshop runtimes
    Location of MS Runtime - C:\Windows\winsxs
    Install the plugins and done!!!!!
    Hope this helps to all CS5 Photoshop users.

    To uninstall the runtimes you can easily do it from registry, best and easy way, this will clear any files which were having conflicts.
    Runtime C++ is the error with Visual C++ Runtime.
    Go to start > run > type regedit and click OK
    In the registry go to:
    HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version > Uninstall
    Expand the Uninstall and you will see many folders or Keys with long names like {002D9D5E-29BA-3E6D-9BC4-3D7D6DBC735C} ...click on them one by one, on the right side you will see what application it is. On the right side look for these
    Name: DisplayName
    Data: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 ATL Update kb973924 - x86 9.0.30729.4148
    Name: UninstallString
    Data: MsiExec.exe /X{002D9D5E-29BA-3E6D-9BC4-3D7D6DBC735C}
    Make sure the name is Microsoft Visual C++..... any version, you will for sure have more than 3-4.
    Double click on the UninstallString and copy the Data, go to start > run > and paste , click on OK, and the uninstall will begin.
    WARNING - Please make sure you close all the application before proceeding. Go to task manager and kill any process which is not running by system like any third party application including third party WLAN software, or any other, check system tray (bottom right corner before the clock).
    Once you have all this done you will not have any problem.
    When installing CS5 on 64bit application, make sure to install CS5 32bit as well because of some dll and system files being not fully compatible.
    First uninstall the CS5, then uninstall the runtimes, backup your Plugins as folders, you can over write them later without reinstalling them.
    OR
    Uninstall runtimes, repair CS5 with an option of installing 32bit and 64bit.

  • I have Photoshop cs5 installed on a pc and I wish to change platform to an imac. When I try this it flags that my serial number is invalid. Can I change platforms?

    I have Photoshop cs5 installed on a pc. I would like to install on a different platform. How do I do this?

    no.
    your serial number is for a win ps program, not mac.  and that version is too old to swap platforms via adobe, Order product | Platform, language swap
    via adobe you can upgrade to cc and use your apps on both (win and mac) platforms.  cc is the first suite (which includes most adobe apps) that allows you to do this.
    you can also try swapping with a third party and you can use a win emulator on your mac (parallels, bootcamp) though there are problems with these suggestions.

    I have Adobe Photoshop CS5 installed in two computers. The hard drive of my home computer crashed and I had no time to deactivate the software. The hard drive needed to be formatted. How can I activate the software CS5 again ? Thank you for an answer.

    If it's the same computer, same CPU and same HD, no de-activation or re-activation should be necessary.
    Install from scratch and apply all updates manually.
    Please do a forum search.  I and others have repeatedly answered the question about failed updates of CS5 a whole bunch of times recently.
    Bottom line:  the Adobe auto updater is utterly useless in CS5 and prior versions.  You need to download the updates and apply them manually yourself.
    I and others have even supplied the links for Mac and Win, which you haven't even bothered to specify.

  • When i write in photoshop cs5 the error

    when i write in photoshop cs5 the error is (img)
    Why this error please help me

    This error is generally caused by a incompatible/incomplete/corrupt font. When you select the type tool, Photoshop reads all of your available fonts to generate a WYSIWYG list. To test if a bad font is the cause of this error, go to Preferences > Type and disable the Font Preview. If the Type tool now works without error, then we know a font is the root issue.
    If on Windows, uninstall (drag font files out of the Fonts folder) and reinstall (drag font files into the Fonts folder) your most recent fonts. The files will be verified on reinstall and most likely one or more will give an error. If on Mac, validate your fonts with Fontbook.

    I have photoshop cs5 installed on desktop...got new Canon rebel T5i camera...cannot open RAW images...updated and installed plug-in...still not working...help please.

    In any event, that camera was first supported by ACR version 7.4 which needs at least CS6 to run.  Naturally, all later versions support it too.
    Your choice is either to upgrade your Photoshop, or to look for, download, install, launch and run the free, stand-alone Adobe DNG Converter 8.6 on each folder containing your raw Canon files to convert them first to raw DNGs that you can open in CS5.
    In no case does an Adobe application belong "on your desktop".  The default install location should always be respected and left alone.

  • Any reason to keep Photoshop CS5 installed?

    I've upgraded to Production Premium CS5.5. Some software (like Bridge CS5, After Effects CS5, and Premiere CS5 need each other to work correctly)  But is there any reason to keep Photoshop CS5 installed. Photoshop CS5.1 is virtually identical, correct?

    No need to keep Photoshop CS 5 as CS5.1 is the same except for the version number.

  • Photoshop CS5.1 error - you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime.

    I have PS 5.1 on my Mac. After I installed Yosemite, it will not work. I get an error saying "To open “Adobe Photoshop CS5.1.app” you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime." According to Java, I have the latest Java. I contacted Apple and they said to uninstall PS 5.1. I reinstalled with no change. Any ideas? FYI - PS 5.1 work on my Macbook with no errors.
    This is frustrating as I cannot use the software. Any help is appreciated.

    Install this:
    Java for OS X 2014-001
    Reinstall CS5.1

    Yes, I encountered this same error. A lot of good that screen does the user, eh? If I recall correctly, I couldn'T find error 16 in Adobe's error list.
    After struggling mightily with my Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended installation, I suggest that any user suffering Adobe's poorly-crafted installer (at least on a Mac with Mountain Lion) consider these steps: 1) copy the installer files from DVD to a thumb drive; 2) repair permissions on the startup disk...from your recovery file/drive rather than your startup disk, BTW; 3) restart in 'safe' mode (hold down shift at restart); and finally 4) install from that thumb drive just as it were the DVD.
    It may not solve your problem, but with the install DVD (as opposed to a trial download) I'd encountered every error known to man and recounted in this forum largely without response from Adobe. And despite twenty attempts I couldn't get the installer to complete. I took every step I saw recommended here including:
    -Using Adobe's 'Creative Suite Cleaner Tool' (the existence of which suggests a problem) between every failed installation attempt;
    -Manually deleting cruft left behind by installation attempts and unsuccessful cleanings (look for cruft in user> library> preferences> adobe and user> lib> startup states);
    -Copying the DVD to the desktop and installing from that folder (advised by Adobe and it produced consistent errors);
    -And unlocking folder padlocks where I thought to try.
    Of course, as suggested by Adobe I dutifully followed up my logs from the bottom up and cross-referenced my many, many error codes with http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/installation-launch-log-errors-creative.html. Guess what: none were listed there. Ten hours went down the hole with this nonsense. And another 45 minutes on hold with an uncomrehending "tech support" rep.
    In Adobe's world, it's OK that their crappy installer leaves hundreds of lines of inscrutable log and that Adobe "requires you to determine what the component is trying to install, then perform component-specific troubleshooting," as their help page says. That's inexcusable BS.
    What worked? Using terminal - see below - to copy my installer DVD files to my thumb drive. The first and only time I tried to install from the thumb drive I hit 100% completion...in a tenth of the time and with zero errors. Simply by NOT using Adobe's install DVD.
    The following may not solve your install problem - there are way too many reported all over these and other forums - but it just may. Good luck!
    1. Insert the DVD into your Mac’s optical drive and launch Disk Utility app (found in the Applications/Utilities). Select the DVD on the left, click on 'New Image' at top, and in the image format pop-up choose DVD/CD Master. I chose the exact name of the install DVD, chose thumb drive as destination and clicked Save. This produces an image file with a .cdr extension an exact copy of the DVD. You need another step.
    2. I then converted the CDR file on the thumb drive from .cdr to .iso using Terminal (important!). Terminal (/Applications/Utilities/) allows for a complete copy, unlike simply dragging a file (which may lose some file info).
    Here's the command:
    mv imagefile.iso.cdr imagefile.iso
    (Hint: To ensure the correct paths for the both the input and output, I dragged the source file and destination folder into Terminal from the finder.)
    You can also use disk utility to generate a DMG (disk image) from the DVD and then convert that to .cdr using terminal and take the last step to convert .cdr to .iso but I didn't see the need for the intermediate step.

    You'd think that this hint would appear in Adobe's help material - say, right at the top - but alas it does not. And don't bother with their phone support (hotline to South Asia). It seems to be intended as a distraction.
    It seemed for me at least, the permissions errors, the inability to read the DVD errors, the in/out errors and all that crap simply originated from using that crappy install disk. I'll never get that ten hours back, Adobe!
