Tried EVERYTHING to Update my iPhone

Hi everyone. i hate for this to be my first post in the forums.. and im 100% sure this has been answered all i have to do is search the threads but it isnt that easy ..
well first things first..im updating from 1.1.3 to 1.1.4... well trying to.. i keep gettin the error 1602..
after trying and failing numerous times.. i looked over some google'd sites.. and thru some posts on these forums.. and i have no luck on my update..
ive tried:
1. restoring (got the 1602 error doing this aswell)
2. deleting and installing itunes after deleting all apple from my laptop. (just like the troubleshooting on this website directs me)
3. changing usb ports (apple tech told me that over the fone)
please help. will be greatly appreciated.

have you tried any of the following:
1. resetting the phone
2. removing some of the content and resyncing
3. restarting your computer
anything simple that may be overlooked that could help... i dunno... all these ideas may or may not work... try anything "jiggle the handle" wise to try and fix it.
i got the error on my first try and then I just renamed my phone and it worked. who knows.

You have gone to Settings > Sounds and the volume is set at a high level, you have selected a Ringtone for the sound, and it still does not ring? Try a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it restarts, ignoring the red slider if it appears.
If that does not help, visit an Apple store genius bar and have the iPhone tested to see if there is a hardware failure.

I may be a service to this question, you are at the highest update the iBook will ever run. If you want to make the machine faster a install of Linux may be in order because they still support PPCs and still do current updates, ( I have MintPPC on my iBook and runs well, though im going to install Leopard) and for MintPPC if you have a quick enough machine it may run youtube at 360p.

I'm trying to restore/update my iphone 3gs but I got the error -1 . Does somebody knows what it means and how to fix it?

I update my iphone to the version 5.0 and it was great, but after I got the 5.1 IOS my iphone started to reboot every now and then. It restarted itself a couple of times and keep working fine, and then it happen again until the screen showed the usb cable and the itunes logo. Its on restore mode, so I connect it to itunes but I always got the error -1 just before the update finished. I have been trying to find out what the error -1 means and how to fix it. My iphone have never been unlock or jailbreaked. I hope somebody have some information about error -1. Thanks.

Try temporarily disabling any firewalls, antivirus and antispyware utilities you may have running on your computer. Those utilities are often reported as being culprits in this problem.

I no longer have sound for either my audio books or my music on itunes. I've tried everything--restarting, updating, re-installing audible app, and restoring the iphone to its factory settings--nothing helps. How do I get the sound back?

How do I get the sound back on my iPhone 4? I've tried all the fixes such as restarting iPhone, reinstalling the audible app, and finally yesterday, I restored the phone to its factory settings. I still get no sound from music on iTunes or from my audible books. The phone still rings (I have sound for that) and the voice control speaks to me, and when I'm typing, the automatic text voice speaks so I can hear it but nothing else works.

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.

If you cannot connect to any Wi-Fi then try is a reboot of your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't help try resetting all Networks.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Netowrk Settings
Still no help? Then make an appointment at an Apple Store for a consultation.

If you are trying to sync via iCloud, make sure your MacBook is running OSX Lion 10.7.7, and that you have set up your iPhone as described here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ and you MacBook as described here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.htm (including turning On Contacts and Calendars as shown in step 3). If you're syncing via iCloud don't check to sync in iTunes too (on the Info tab in iTunes) or you may end up with duplicate data.

So you cleared all pairings from your head unit and retstarted the car, you Reset the network settings on the car, then you tried to pair them? Does either one see the other after you do this?
Haven't seen many Camry BT complaints, you might check on their forum.

I had the same problem. Kept getting message of waiting for activation or check network connections. I also tried every solution out there and nothing worked. This did though: I download the newest version of itunes (through Internet Explorer - Google Chrome wouldn't work). It pulled in my entire library thank goodness and then I plugged my iphone 4s into the computer. I let itunes find it, did a complete backup in icloud, then did a restore. Entire process took a couple of hours, but I now have imessage and facetime back. I was about ready to give up on Apple and go get a different phone ~
