Trouble installing Photoshop CS5 with Adobe Creative Suite Premium

Hello all,
I am having trouble installing Adobe Photoshop CS5 as part of an upgrade of Design Suite Premium. All other program that are part of the CS5 suite install and operate fine. The error messages I am getting are below. The upgrade is from CS3 to CS5. We are running Windows 7 Enterprise 64 Bit.

Yes, your fonts are locked. This is a known issue with different older versions of Adobe products if they are mixed. You need to take ownership and set their permissions to full access. There is some article on it in the knowledge base, but you might just as well do a web search on a more generic level about such procedures. We have seem to misplaced one of our CDs. Can anyone tell me how many CDs came with the original Adobe Creative Suite Premium? I have 2 install CDs, one extra/resource CD and one training CD. I want to make sure that I have not lost one of the install CDs.
I also would like to find a list of all of the fonts that come with Adobe Creative Suite Premium. We have installed so many fonts I cannot tell what originally came with the CD and what I need to get permission to use in my work. Thank You.

If you have 2 Install CD's, you should be fine. Sounds, like you may have lost one of the resources and extras or the Pagemaker Plug-In Pack CD's though...

The first two issues sound like a video driver problem.
What is the make/model of your video card/chip?
What is the installed video driver number and date?
For the last issue, it could be many things, including the video driver. I'd look over this ARTICLE, and if there is nothing in the first part, then move on to tuning up the OS an computer in the second part. That would probably be a good time to post the full specs. of your computer, and also both your Project and Source footage. Finally, part three covers many troubleshooting tips, and furnishes many links.

Adobe Creative Suite Premium All Re-install Except PhotoShop

I have been using Creative Suite Premium for over 4 years. It was working fine until several days ago when Photoshop locked up. After closing it, I have was not able to get Photoshop to run. I have tried to uninstall and re-install the entire suite several times. All of the programs in CS installed fine and I can open them and work in them, EXCEPT PhotoShop. PhotoShop is the main program I use. When I tried to install just PhotoShop, I got an error message that the serial number is invalid. I re-checked and re-entered the serial number several times, but always got the same error message. I don't understand whay happened in the first place and why the problem is only with PhotoShop.
I use PhotoShop on a daily basis with my job, so I need it to be up and running. I am also on a limited income and budget and cannot afford to buy their expensive upgrades, nor should I have to since the program has been working fine all this time.
I tried the Tech suppport chat and after a lengthy wait and discussion, was told that Tech Support does support CS. I know Adobe is trying to force me to spend hudnreds of dollars to upgrade, but if I am forced to buy new software, it won't be from Adobe.
Does anyone out there know of a solution to fix this? Thanks.

Before uninstall/reinstalling any software always try to fix the preference file first. Reason is, if the file is corrupted, reinstalling the app will not fix it, as it assumes that you want to keep your prefered settings, hence preference file.
Most apps will recreate the file if it can not find it, but to be safe, moving the file to another location, will allow you to put it back if it does not recreate the file.

Trouble Installing Photoshop CS5

Hi,
When I try installing Photoshop CS5 i get the following error message. I am trying to install from CS5.5 Master Collection. Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator and Premier Pro all install fine, the error is just with photoshop CS5.1 and CS5.1 64 bit. Any ideas what the problem is?

I wouldn't think that a CS5.5 installation should require you to have installed Flash on your system as a prerequisite, but this message seems to imply you should install Flash Player 10 first:

Have you tried visiting the Flash download page on Adobe.com and installing Flash?
Maybe they figure just everyone has Flash already.

Acrobat PDF Maker doesn't work after installing UPDATES(!) to Adobe Creative Suite 3 (on Windows 7)

Hi,
I installed Adobe Creative suite 3 Premium on Widows Vista....then upgraded to Windows 7,...never had any problems.
Today Adobe Update Advisor downloaded and installed some updates to Adobe Professional 8 (that came in a package with Adobe CS3 premium)....since then (it has been 3-4 hours), I cannot convert any document into PDF using ANY application MS Office 2007, as a Printer in browser...etc..
The error message says:
"Missing PDF Maker Files.
Do you want to run installer in repair mode?"
I clicked on Yes, then waited, then restarted my PC, and that didn't solve the problem"
Adobe Support (a very unfriendly guy) told me that AdobeProfessional 8 support for Windows 7 is not available and that I can either upgrade to Adobe 9 (no way, I paid way too much money for Adobe CS3), refer to Adobe Forum, or reinstall Adobe CS3.
Can someone tell me how to solve this problem without reinstalling the whole CS3?

Why did you “upgrade” to Windows 7?
Shouldn't have Microsoft given you free updates to Windows XP or Windows Vista to give you all the fixes that appeared in Windows 7?
Do you expect an automobile manufacturer to retrofit at no cost to you your two year old vehicle with the latest doodads associated with the latest in consumer electronics, automated toll taking, and GPS?
Accounting rules in the United States associated with something called “revenue recognition” limit what companies can do to retrofit products with new features after they are released/sold. Supporting significant differences and/or features in a new operating system version or for that matter incompatibilities and features in another application (such as new versions of Office) require significant modifications to accounting practices to hold reserves to account for the possibility of such updates. Furthermore, ignoring these accounting and finance ramifications, keeping an extra set of engineers working to retrofit old software versions would significantly increase Adobe's costs and hence the price charged for this software.
Be aware that except for custom software with ongoing maintenance and/or retainer contracts, typical commercial software is licensed for use with the equipment and software environment that it was originally designed for and that fact is already built into the cost and pricing structures. The pricing of upgrades to new software versions reflects the cost of providing support for newer equipment and software environments as well as any new features.

Selective installation with Adobe Creative Suite 4 Master Collection applications

I am planning to purchase the Adobe Creative Suite 4 Master Collection. I don't want to install all the applications in the suite right now due to hardware limitations. Is it possible to select some applications during installation (just enough that my hardware can support) and leave out the rest for installation later when I upgrade my hardware? Thank you

Should be okay for all but the most demand apps. Don't expect miracles though.
Again, though, please be careful with bargain software. Anything more than about 5-10% off the list price is likely to be illegally pirated or stolen software.

Accidentally uninstalled Photoshop Cs6 from 'Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection'

Okay, so I was just using Photoshop and then my friend wanted me to try and airdrop it to her since she didn't have photoshop. I tried to airdrop it to her and it failed. Later on, my photopshop icon had an question mark on it and i realized that it won't open. I started to play around and accidentally uninstalled it by going to Applications->Utilities->Adobe Installers and clicked on Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection. After uninstalling it, I thought I could reinstall it again but I can't find any files or whatsoever to install it again.

Only if you're running Windows in Boot Camp or by a virtualiser (Parallels, VMWare, VirtualBox).

Adobe Creative Suites Premium: error when starting says that there is missing or invalid info

I have tried several suggestions from others online and still cannot get Adobe Creative Suites to work. It worked on my old computer but not my new one which has Windows 7. I have a wedding to finish editing so please help!!

What version of creative suites are you trying to install? Also do you get an error while installing the product or using the product? If possible please attach some screenshots of the error messages.

Trouble Installing Photoshop CS5 (Conflicting Processes)?

Hi, I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop CS5 but when I try to install it I get an error message afterward saying that it was unsuccessful. Then I installed the Adobe Support Advisor in hopes of finding a solution to the problem. And according to it, the problem is conflicting processes. I click on the link suggested to read the knowledge base article, but the solution is to "shut conflicting processes" without specifying what types of processes are considered as conflicting. How do I know which process/processes I need to end to get photoshop to successfully install? This is the description of the installation status that I get:

Just searched up adobe products and apparently the adobe CS5 elements like the Adobe Extension Manager CS5, Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit CS5, Adobe Device Central CS5 were successfully installed. I also have installed Adobe Reader 8..

Installing Photoshop CS5 requires Adobe AIR to be installed

Hey Guys (I'm new so sorry if I do anything wrong here),
I just installed Windows 8, and while it was very confusing I accidently deleted all of my programmes (I got confused with what the Reset Tab was) and when I went to go and install Photoshop Trial, it's telling me I need to update Adobe AIR because It's not available to my system.
I've installed it before, the only change was from Windows 7 to Windows 8, and I've seen other people with Windows 8 use Photoshop CS5? Please Help!?

No No, Sorry aha I installed Windows 8, which was fine. I didnt like it much so I tried doing a system restore assuming I could just go back to Windows 7 (What my friend told me). I found out eventually I couldnt obviously, but before I found out I figured the "Reset Your PC" option would be like a system restore and would go back to Windows 7. All my Programmes got deleted, which I was fine about so I just went to go install them again but Photoshop is telling me I cant install it due to not having the system requirements. But the only requirement I believe I dont have is Windows 7, but like I said before... I've seen others with Windows 8 having Photoshop..
A system Image Backup, nope.. I dont. My friend told me that it was just a trial and I would go back to Windows 7 once the trial is up. (I should do my own research in future)
I hope this was clear enough, again it's pretty late and I'm just stressed over loosing everything. Thank you for getting back to me so soon also - Any other tips on how to maybe get it? I dont think I have any traces of Adobe left since all my programmes got deleted, the only other thing I have is Adobe Flash.

Help with adobe creative suite 5 design premium download

I just got a new computer that does not have a cd drive and I have my current software on cds. I need to find out how to download the creative suite 5 premium. I was directed to this page, http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html but don't see how I can do so as I get error messages. Please help.

Follow the Very Important Instructions on that protoolsdesign.com page first BEFORE you click the download links.
Then download the software.

Where is pixel bender directory used by Photoshop CS5.1 (from Creative Suite 5.5 Web Premium)?

CS5.1 does not appear to use the Pixel Bender Files directory in the Adobe Directory. If I add a new pixel bender filter (.pbx) to the other filters in that directory, it does not show up in the Pixel Bender Filters Gallery from within Photoshop. Actually, the listing of the filters from within Photoshop Pixel Bender Filter Gallery and the filters in the /Adobe/Photoshop CS5.1 (64bit)/Pixel Bender Files are different. Any explanation?
