Trouble installing the download file

I just went to download the trial version of Photoshop CS5 for mac and all was fine untill I had the downloaded file. I open it to install and it told me to dowload adobe air, so I have done, but when I go to install either file now, they load, finish loading then nothing happens.
I dont know what to do, can anyone suggest anything?

Some users have reported issues with the Graphic Switching option in the Energy Saver preferences.  You might try adjusting that setting to see if it allows you to first install Adobe AIR and then Photoshop CS5.  Beyond that I would recommend reviewing Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant.

    Looks like one component in Media Encoder is either missing or corrupted somehow.
    Could you uninstall Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 and please make sure all files are deleted after uninstall?  Then, please try re-installing it.

    It would have been a great help to know precisely what Mac you have, so some of the following may not apply:
    You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3.183.23 or later, is for Intel Macs only running Tiger or Leopard, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.4.402.265 or later is for Snow Leopard onwards.

    Agathe.texier which copy of InCopy are you downloading and installing?  Do you receive any specific error messages?  Finally what operating system are you using?

    - Error Msg - How to open the downloaded file

    Just run the following command to unjar the downloaded file.
    jar -xvf ouiosp170200A.jar
    (I did this and ran into another problem after I 'unjar' the same downloaded file. The problem I have now is on Windows NT, when I click on the 'Oracle Software Packager' program icon (from Start-->Programs Group) it doesn't do anything when it is supposed to Start the program. I appreciate if anyone provides any suggestions on how to get this running.

    Go here http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1582, download the update file and run it. Ideally, start up in Safe Mode when you do the update.

    To install the certificate, you only have to scan the provided QR code. The code appears when you click the “Install the certificate” link that you see after you generate an application. Press the magnifying glass at the bottom of the mobile phone to launch
    Bing search, and then press the eye icon that appears at the bottom of the screen. Point the phone’s camera at the QR code, and the phone will automatically scan it.
    Important: Once installed, the phone will take you back to the original screen with a button that says “Install Certificate”. There is no feedback that communicates the success or failure of the installation procedure.
    After this, you can install your app by scanning the provided QR code, by following the same procedure used to install the certificate.

    Chances are the pinnacle is producing .avi files or MPEFG1/2 streams - iTunes may know how to decode the audio but not the video. Download Handbrake and try running the Pinnacle files through it and adding to iTunes - use Universal format unless you have a specific device in mind.
    Keep copies of the originals.
    Another option might be to try to install Perian.  Can't remember if the Apple MPEG2 plugin allows MPEG2 to be played in iTunes.

    I have the new Motorola Bravo which is on the Android 2.1 system. When I try to open the downloaded file, a warning appears saying "This application comes from an unknown source, and for your security only applications from trusted sources can be installed". Is the download corrupt? I would think not, but I am very confused.

    Unfortunately, AT&T disables the ability for its Android phones to install applications that aren't distributed through the Android Market.
    If this phone is not AT&T-branded, then you might be able to enable "Non-Market sources" in the "Applications" section of the Settings app.
    If it is, then you might be able to use the Android developer tool "adb" to install Firefox on your phone (search the web for instructions), or you can wait for our next beta release which should be available through the Market later this month.

  • Can using BouncyCastle be an alternative to installing the policy files?

    Hey, sorry if this is a dumb question but I have been looking into this all day.
    I want to write a program that incorporates unlimited strength encryption, but installing the JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files is not an option (I can do it on one of the development machines, but I don't have write access to JAVAHOME on the other, and I can't expect every user of the program to install these files).
    Now I know that if I specify BouncyCastle as a provider when using JCE, I still have to install the above files... but what if I don't use JCE and I use the algorithms provided (handily without any form of documentation whatsoever) by BouncyCastle - can this be a workaround? I've heard conflicting views on this.
    If this isn't the case, can anyone please point me in the right direction of what I could do instead? Ie. if there was some way to include these files in the classpath rather than actually install them.
    Also, if using BC is a solution to problem, I would really appreciate it if anyone has such an example of AES-256 encryption and decryption with CBC and padding that they could point me in the direction of, I am having a real issue figuring out the BC API.

    As long as you use the BouncyCastle lightweight crypto API rather than the JCE you should not encounter any of the JCE's restrictions. This means you cannot use Cipher.getInstance("Whatever/ABCCBC/TooMuchPadding", "BC"). Just include the lightweight api jar in your class path; the source is here: http://www.bouncycastle.org/download/lcrypto-jdk1<whatever>-139.zip
    I haven't played with bouncycastle in awhile, but I think something like this will get you started:

  • Has anyone else had trouble installing the new Apple TV update?

    I have tried several time to install the new software for my Apple TV, but each time I am getting a message saying the intall was unsuccessful.  I have 2 and it installed on the older Apple TV (non-HD version) but the newer set will not install the update.

    If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
    Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
    Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
    Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
    Open iTunes.
    Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.
    If when you choose restore you get a message that the device cannot be found, download the file below
    Apple TV Software Restore 5.1.1 (2nd generation)
    Then hold down the option key while choosing restore and select the downloaded file when prompted.
    If you have the Apple TV 3, use the following file.

  • Trouble installing a *.msi file on a folder using Windows 7

    I'm having trouble installing a *.msi file created under Microsoft Visual Studio.Net 2005 on a Windows 7 machine.  The problem occurs when I attempt to provide a directory for installation, but the installation wizard always defaults to the C: root
    folder.  I can always move the created files and folders from the *.msi wizard to a directory of my choosing and run the tool
    successfully.  But, I'm confused has to why the *.msi wizard always defaults to the C: root.
    I have tried running the *.msi file in administrative mode using the various published methods but none of those methods are made available, in fact they are all disabled.  I.e. right click the *.msi file has a disabled "Run as Administrator"
    option.  The properties under the *.msi file to "Run As Administrator" is also disabled.  And running the *.msi file under msiexec as also proven
    unsuccessful.
