Trouble with my go phone

I purchased a ZTE go phone from WA state AT&T store. I have a US phone number. The phone is activated with my old cell #. I came to Mexico with it as AT&T told me I could make calls back to the US for a penny per min. and have unlimited texting. I received a text. When I tried to call that person a message comes and speaks Spanish and my call is ended. It shows Telcel in the upper left but it shows I have 4G which tells me I am connected to the AT&T HSPA + network. WHAT? How is this possible? I had a Nokia 635 before and it worked just perfect. Why is this?

Kayla, check the grill that covers the microphone (bottom left next to charging port) and make certain there isn't any dirt, makeup, spilled soda clogging the grill causing it to fail. My sister had a similar issue with her earphone and while I was in the process of replacing it for the third time I decided to check the grill under a very bright light and it was totally clogged up causing her not to be able to hear her phone calls. Use a Q-Tip dipped in hot water and gently wipe the grill. Just barely moisten it, no need to go crazy with the water. Might as well clean the earphone and speaker on the bottom right too. Anyhow, that could be what your issue is and if so it's a really simple fix. If that doesn't help just replace the microphone. It'd cost maybe $5 and ten minutes of your time to do. Good luck, John

Do you have alot of apps running in background? Tap home key 2 times and there's a list across screen with icons you can deselect them by hold on one and they wiggle touch the minus button and it will deactivate them untill you use them again. Do you have the phone dim after so many seconds or minutes? Is the screen bright all time? Do you go on the Internet or watch video on phone?
These things can affect the hrs of use.

Troubles with my 3Gs phone functionality.

I have no issues using the applications and playing music. I've updated and restored my phone to the latest software. I've exchanged my phone at the genius bar for a new one. My 2G iPhone worked. If I could get it new again, I would. Should I buy just an ipod touch and a separate wireless phone? I am looking for an all in one device that does both and is made by Apple. Are there any additional technical documents links that would assist me in fixing this issue?

Do you NEVER receive calls, or only sometimes and in some locations? If it's NEVER then there's a network problem at AT&T; perhaps your account is misconfigured and forwards all calls to voicemail. This is a selectable feature offered by AT&T, and perhaps it is enabled.

If it's only sometimes or only in some locations it is likely just network overload. To receive a call you need two conditions - a signal at your location, and an open channel over the network to that location. In some places AT&T's network is overloaded and does not have a free channel available. This can even happen if you have 5 bars.

I got the FIOS mid-September,
and this week it will be one month since my phone line broke for a lot of people (they can't call me anymore),
and Verizon can't do anything to correct their misconfiguration.
So, I am alone, with half of a phone line and with an operator (Verizon) who is doing nothing.
My situation: people from Cox Communication (a famous but local operator in my state) are impossible to call me (when they try they receive the information my number doesn't exist) because I asked to Verizon to keep my number and to move it from Cox to Verizon FIOS (so, I wanted to keep my number, very simple, but impossible for Verizon).
For 4 weeks, I am trying to explain this simple situation but their answer is "all is fine from Verizon".
Does anyone have an idea to solve this stupid situation?

Understand that if this is impacting incoming calls from people uing your old "phone" company but not calls coming from other service providers (i.e. non-Verizon but not Cox customers either), then the problem is on Cox's end.
Cox never deallocated your number properly when you ported it over to the Verizon -- so they still have it defined in their tables as belonging to them and when people try to call it from on the Cox network, it goes to a disconnected number deadend.
If this is the situation you have, then you must call Cox and tell them that you "ported your number out to a new provider" and ask that they "release and deallocate" the number from their system as they no longer own it so that calls from customers on their network witll terminate properly. It will take some persistence and you'll probably need to get past the first level tech support person and make sure you get someone who understands the phone network definition process to get them to fix it.
If you can't receive calls from anyone -- except other Verizon customers -- then it's a Verizon problem in that they haven't properly completed the port of the number from your old provider -- who is probably still holding the number in an inactive state. If this is the scenario, then Verizon is the one who has to fix this.

6300 trouble with updating.. phone won't turn on n...

Hi guys, my dad got himself a 6300 a few months ago, and all was well until recently when the screen would randomly decide to go blank.. the phone would work, just the screen went blank.
Today, he bought himself a second 6300, and me being the nosy person I am, I wanted to update the firmware (with the screen blank mind you!) to try and fix this problem.
So halfway through updating, my dad's laptop freezes and the blue screen shows up. Now the phone is, put it this way, f#^$ed. It won't turn on or respond to anything I do. Would there be a way to fix this all?

HELP! Trouble with Google in Phone.

I tried going to google on my iphone today but it gave me this error:
"Reference Error - cant find gpinisearch". I really want to use internet while im away from my house. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's odd. I suspect it is an issue with the iPhone configured Google page. You could have a page cache problem on the iPhone with that specific page. Only way I know to get rid of something like that is to do a full "new phone" restore (not a backup restore). This erases everything and let's you start out fresh again.
There's a free Google App in the App Store. Check it out. It allows you to speak your search phrase into the phone and it'll find what you said. No typing required and it works quite well.

Phone services: troubles with 7985 ip phones

We developed three queries on our Microsoft Active Directory, customizating the ASP pages in Cisco SDK.
They worked fine about one year, but from few days they fail on 7985 phones only.
The message is:
Error Parsing Service
HTTP 403: Forbidden
Error, unable to display service.
Of course we didn't update the CCM (rel 5.0.4) or the phone firmware (4.1.4.0) or the IIS (I watched IIS logs and I think that the call is stopped before arriving to the web server).
No alert in CM logs.
I tried to restart the CM service and it didn't fix.
Any idea?

I installed the firmware last release (4-1-6-0) It didn't fix, but the message is changed:

IPhone 4S trouble with Battery/Power, Phone will not stay on

I've had a refurbished iPhone 4S for just over a year now and when I upgraded to 6.0.1 it was fine. But, after I upgraded to 6.1.3 the phone began having issues, but I'm not certain iOS is the root of the problem. First, it would cut itself off without a button shutdown and would not start back up. A hard reset would fix this, and I noticed the battery was not dead, nor even low. After a while of this, the phone would not start at all and I began restoring my phone almost every day, but by the next day the phone would be unactive again. Suddenly this stopped for a month. Now its back to shutting itself down, but in addition, it will have a full battery, cut off, and half an hour later, it will be hot. The phone is hot while its off. When I manage to get it back on shortly after, the battery is dead. So its having issues coming on, staying on, and maintaining a charge. I suspect a short in the battery or power equipment. Shorts are terrible for a battery this is going to kill my phone in a few months and even though when I first called Apple about this and I had my year left on my refurb, they stated I wasnt covered. Is anyone having a problem like this?

I have been sent three new DROID MAXX phones from Assurion each has the same problem it goes into sleep mode when it feels like it I have tried everything and spoke to several Verizon techs who tried to help.Any advice would be appreciated.

You can only add music to iTunes Match from your iTunes library on your computer, not from your iOS device. If you have music on your iPad that is not on your computer, you'll have to import it to your iTunes library on your computer to add it to iTunes Match.
Music purchased from the iTunes store can be imported directly to your iTunes library by authorizing your computer for the Apple ID(s) used to purchase the music (in Store>Authorize This Computer), then connecting the iPad to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. Music from other sources will require using 3rd party software to transfer to your computer, such as Touch Copy.

Trouble with calendar and events populating phone

I am having a significant amount of trouble with getting my phone to populate my calendar and my events. I have had trouble with this since I got my phone at the end of April and I am getting tired of it. If i put new calendar entries in on my local calender or I sync from my active sync calender, the result is the same - nothing will show. The strange thing is is that the reminders will open up, everything is invisible to me. I've reinstalled the software and have been through the settings on my calender accounts. I am a business person and this is very important to me and I am starting to get frustrated with this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ok, I finally figured it out or better I finally got it to work after playing with it. For those who have the same issues I will give you the steps I have taken. It might sound a bit senseless but I didn't know what I was doing might actually make it work.
Anyways, I read somewhere that in order to be able to set a default Calendar in Settings they added a CalDAV account. I didn't have one but I do have a gmail account. Before adding that I tried again turning on and off the iCloud calendar which didn't help.
Then I went to the ical app on the iphone and added a new calendar which I called the same as my main one on the iCloud site (HomeCloud). I rebooted the phone every time I made a change. But didn't help either.
Then I deleted my iCloud account on the iphone reboooted and added it again, rebooted. Now the "Calendars" calendar was not on the iphone anymore but I could see my main HomeCloud, my UK Holiday and the gmail account calendar but nothing was synced.
Last step I tethered the iphone to my imac and synced via iTunes again and voila I could see everything synced correctly. Last thing I had to uncheck the gmail calendar on the iphone because it was set as the default and now the events I put in the iphone sync correctly with the iCloud site and my icals on my machines.
I hope this will help whoever has the same issue.

Trouble with activation after upgrading to iOS 7.0

This is ridiculous. Still having trouble with activating my phone after upgrading to iOS 7.0. How does Apple expect us to make / receive phone calls???

It may take a while becuse millions of people are doing it at the same time. Patience young grasshopper. Try restarting the phone and then try activating again. It took mine a good long time before the activation completed successfully
