Trouble with View - InputHelpV2.bsp (Advanced BSP Programming)

Dear Brian / Thomas,
    I bought the Advanced BSP Programming book and from the CD which came along with it, instead of importing the request, I created the CLASSES, BSP EXTENSIONS, VIEW, CONTROLLER. I created the Extensions - ZDIALOG, ZDOWNLOAD, ZF4HELP; and the related CLASSES from these folders. Also created the dummy.htm, InputHelpV2.bsp, simpleTest.htm and InputHelpV2.do in my own BSP application.
    Everything seems to be fine, except InputHelpV2.bsp, which is giving as error in all the locations on the page, where it's mentioned - "model->". For Eg. model->iframe_id, it says, Field "IFRAME_ID" is unknown.
    I have specified the following in the Page Attributes - model     TYPE REF TO     ZCL_BSP_M_INPUT_HELP.
In ZCL_BSP_M_INPUT_HELP, I have pasted the definition part of the code given in the CD under Local Class Definition and the implementation part in Local Class Implementations.
    Can you please tell me, why the error on the View pops up?

Well ZCL_ES_BSP_ELMNT_INPUT_HELP_V2 is the handler class for a BSP Extension Element. The class will be generated automatically. You then use SE80 (the class builder) to add your method implementation.
It sounds like you should perhaps spend some time reading up on the ABAP Workbench and ABAP OO before you spend too much time in the BSP world. Some of the examples from the book are quite advanced (such as the value help) and rely on a good foundation in ABAP OO - as does using BSP in general. It would be wise to invest this time and avoid frustation.

Trouble with viewing font on spine of Photo book. I can't find a way to view and edit the text which appears on the spine of the dustcover or the book itself when printed.

I can't find a way to view and edit the text which appears on the spine of the dustcover or the photo book itself. When I preview the book it appears on the dustcover and the book, but not when I'm back in the creation or editing windows. I've printed 4 books in a series and two spines are one font size, and two others are a different font size. One of the books has a shortened title on the book spine.

The text on the spine will be the same text that is in the Title text box on the title page. You can change the font and style of that text just like you change any text in Aperture. Aperture will size and center the spine text for you
If you want the content or the font and style of the text to be different from your Title box text then you have to trick the program a bit. Put the text that you want in the spine into the Title text box and then move that box to a place on the page where it will not be visible when printed ( Y coordinate -1.0 inches for example). Don't move it too far away or it will be hard to get back to in order to make an edit. Then make a new text box on the title page and put the text you want on the cover in that. (Or make a book without text on the cover , but with text on the spine).
You are 100% correct in that you can not preview this unless you preview the printed book

Trouble with viewing online PDF documents

Every time I try to view an online pdf document, I get a black screen that tells me to open Adobe Reader and accept the end-user agreement. I cannot figure out how to do this. Please help!

Launch the desktop application first.
On Windows it's Start>All Programs>Adobe Reader XI
On Mac OS X it's in the Applications folder under the path /Applications/Adobe Reader XI
After launching you "should" be presented with a EULA screen to Accept the licensing agreement.

Trouble with viewing mode MONITOR

There is a way to use viewing mode MONITOR in WPT (web publish tool) with my front pannel minimized??
I used WTP to create a web monitor, it display snapshots every 60 seconds. It works fine if my FP is maximized. But if I minimize the FP, the web monitor only displays a gray square.
How can I use a web monitor when FP is minimized???????

Thaks for your answer. About the workarounds that you post.
Keep the front panel window open.
Programmatically
adjust the front panel position to detect when the window is minimized
and then compensate for the position change. See the attached VI
(written for LV 8.5) as an example of this workaround.
1.- I can´t use this because I must minimize the application.
2.- I tried to use this one, but I didn´t find the control`s position to compensate the change.
I solve this trouble using a 3 way:
1.- I ask for FP. State.
2.- If FP.State = minimized, I set FP.Transparency = 100 and FP.state = maximized.
3.- I get the image using FP.get image method, and save it.
4.- Return FP.TRansparency to 0 and FP.state to minimized
for the publishing I didn´t use WTP, I wrote a html file (attached as a .txt file) that load the image created every 20seconds

Trouble with Viewer Builder 1.4

Hello,
Does anybody still works with Content Bundler and Viewer Builder (Drop11 tools)?
I made a folio file with Content Bundler (Beta v0.2.8.16953) and InDesign CS5.
Now I try to create my *.ipa and *.zip files through Viewer Builder (v1.4).
Everything seems to work fine till I try to download the *.ipa and *.zip files.
After a few minutes, an error message appears: "Viewer Builder error, connection failed".
However, two (parts of) files are downloaded, 2,3 Mo each, and nothing to do with them.
My first try was on last friday, trouble remains today.
I tried today using different folio files, same results...
Anybody to answer?

Trouble with viewing SWF in a PDF

1st set-up:
Mac OS X 10.4.11
Adobe CS3 Premium (ID CS3 & Flash CS3)
QuickTime 7.5
Acrobat 8 Pro
Acrobat Reader 8
On this system I created a PDF in InDesign CS3 adding in a swf file as an intro. I edited the PDF and created some functionality for the iPDF (interactive PDF) in Acrobat 8 Pro. The iPDF plays great and I'm happy. BUT... then I transferred the same iPDF to my other system.
2nd set-up:
Mac OS X 10.5.5
Adobe CS3 Premium (ID CS3 & Flash CS3)
QuickTime Pro 7.5.5
Acrobat 8 Pro
Acrobat Reader 9
On this system, when the iPDF is viewed, the embedded swf intro appears to load, but the status bar just says, "buffering". The swf doesn't play. I changed the settings for the file to use the flash player instead of QuickTime but nothing changes. I tried this again with a different file with a different embedded swf file with the same results. My coworker had the same problem when he upgraded systems. He could view the iPDF before but not after his upgrade.
I checked quite a few resources and this forum but have not come across anyone with the same issue. Does anyone here know of the issue and maybe a work-around or possibly a solution?

Acrobat 8 and earlier depend on QuickTime to handle SWF files. But QuickTime now only supports very old versions of Flash. Hence SWF support is broken.
However, Acrobat 9 and Reader 9 use Flash Runtime and handle SWF and FLV files natively. They don't require QuickTime to handle these formats.

Trouble with Facebook and eBay 'Advanced Search'

Hi everyone,
I'd love if someone could tell me what's wrong with my MacBook. When I log on to Facebook, the items on the page essentially read down the page, with about one letter per line. It is impossible to read. Also, when I attempt to use the eBay 'Advanced Search' search option, the page never loads - I click on the 'search' button but nothing happens.
I have recently done a software update for my MacBook, so it should be good to go. I also attempted to download a Java update (because I thought it might be a Javascript issue) but it wouldn't allow it because I have the most up-to-date Java edition. My operating system is one of the OS X versions - my laptop was purchased new in 2006.
I also have made sure that my cookies aren't blocked, so it's not cookies that's causing the issue. It's got me stumped! I've love some suggestions - this issue is very frustrating!

1.) Exactly what version of OS X are you running.
2.) What browser are you using and what is the browser's version.
3.) Have you tried a different browser.
4.) Is it only these two websites.

Having trouble with my iCloud email in Mail program on iMac

I converted to iCloud a few months ago and everything has been working well. Today, my Mail program can neither download nor send emails for my iCloud account on my iMac (about 4 years old). It just seems to churn. I CAN however, access my iCoud email on my iPhone. Any ideas what might be wrong? Thanks. George T.

Trouble with viewing "Now Playing"

My 30GB Video iPod was working fine until a few weeks ago when the Now Playing screen started only displaying album artwork. It does everything else fine, plays games and lists songs, but Now Playing just doesn't work and it's driving me crazy because I don't like to use shuffle mode this way.
I've tried reseting all settings, all my software is up to date, and everything else is working fine. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

I am the family share manager and i sent out 2 invites to family members. they were not able to open the invite on the email. Has anyone ran into this problem???

A bit different, I've been sending and resending the invitations under Family Sharing but none of my kids nor wife have yet to receive a single invitation yet to attempt and open and accept ?? Had zero issues updating to Yosemite and IOS 8 across all my devices but family sharing I am spinning my wheels going nowhere. Having trouble with Microsoft Outlook

I am having trouble with my Microsoft Outlook e-mail program. I can send and receive e-mails OK, but it is constantly trying to send an email message that is not formed correctly. My error panel remains full of the errors.
I erased all the error messages, but it just continues to add them.
I am not, presently, even trying to send an email. However, in no time at all this widow will be full of such error messages.
What might my problem be?

Q Having trouble with shortcuts in illustrator( Please Help)

I am having trouble with shortcuts when i exit the program and then try and use shortcuts it wont work till i go back into edit and shortcuts menu and click ok to the defaullt setting and i have to keep doing this???? Can some one please helpme. I am very new to illustrator and i am trying to learn the shortcuts. Also im not very good with technical stuff so please make answer simple if possible Thanks

If you are saying that you use the default keyboard shortcuts list, and every time you open Illustrator you can't use any keyboard shortcuts, this must be a bug.
I'd suggest changing one keyboard shortcut, or as many as you would like, and save it as a new list. Maybe it won't be bugged like the default list.
If that doesn't work, my only other idea would be re-installing Illustrator. But wait to see what others say here, before trying to re-install.

The first page works fine but when I submit my form it fails. I debugged and the request object doesn't look right.

Hi Surija,
there is an issue with Internet Explorer that causes this problem when you launch the BSP applicaiton using the test menu in SE80. The issue does not occur with Firefox...very strange I know.
Anyway, to get around this you just copy the BSP application URL and open a browser and paste the URL in...so essentially do not use the "Test" in SE80 to launch your application.

How to import examples from book "Advanced BSP Programming"

i bought the book "advanced bsp programming". But i don't know how to import the "*.nsp" Transport files from the cd into the sap system.
It is a sap R/3 with SAP Basis Release 6.20 Level 57.
Could someone help me?

Your best bet is to always make friends with a nice Basis person who does the transports for your landscape. Quite often developers don't have access (OS and SAP) to perform transports. However if this is sandbox system and you want to give it a try - you should probably just read up on TMS (Transport Mangement System) first.
Assuing that TMS is configured properly on your system and you can perform exports and imports the process isn't terribly complicated.
Copy the the transport files into your TRANS directory (/usr/sap/trans/). The file name that begins with the letter K goes into the cofiles subdirectory. The file name that begins with the letter R goes into the data subdirectory.
You can then log into your system and run transaction code STMS. Go to the Import Overview. Chose your local system ID. Choose Menu Option: Extras->Other Requests->Add. Now supply the transport number. This will attach the transport to your import que. Now you can follow the normal process for importing the transport.
I want to stress that you should NOT try to perform imports unless you are comfortable with the process or this is a sandbox system that no one will be upset if something goes wrong. You should also NOT transport the code samples into a development system at all unless you are willing to take responsibility. The authors of the book (myself and Brian) take no responsibility for any damage done by the transport (Legal CYA). That is why we also supply all code in text files so that it can be imported manually and possibly renamed to match whatever naming standards you may have. All the code is delivered in the customer name range as a customer object and can be modified in the delivery system.
Please note that there will be some import errors on 620 because this transport contains code for 640 and 04S. Most of these import errors are documented on the CD and do not effect the overall process.

I have been having a lot of trouble with the latest itunes update and my ipod classic 80Gb i.e. being unable to sync songs, but now i have no files at all on my ipod, it is completely blank when i view it from my computer. I need help, please, anybody.

As it says above, i have been having a lot f trouble with my ipod classic and the latest itunes update, i was unable to sync songs or anything to it and have tried every conceivable 'fix' i could find. i have run an itunes diagnostic and the results are posted below. a major problem is that when i try and view my ipod through my computer it displays nothing at all on the ipod, no files or anything, this may be the problem but i have no idea how it has happened or how i could resolve it.

Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.
