Trying to activate the Web Inspector in Safari on my iPad

When I turn the Web Inspector "on" (Settings->Safari->Advanced->Web Inspector "switch" to "on" state), it tells me the following (under the Web Inspector option):
"To use Web Inspector, connect to Safari on your computer using a cable and access your iPad from the Develop menu."
I am connected using a 30pin to USB cable (that came with my iPad, that I use to sync using iTunes). I have the Develop menu in Safari on my computer (enabled it long ago). So, how do I "access [my] iPad from the Develop menu" (presumably from Safari on my computer)?
I don't see anything that looks like some "connect to iPad", or some such, within the Develop menu in Safari on my computer.

You need to be signed into iCloud with the same Apple ID on both devices:
Mac: System Preferences > iCloud
iOS: Setting > iCloud
and make sure sync for Safari is turned on:
Mac: System Preferences > iCloud > check the Safari box
iOS: Setting > iCloud > turn Safari on

Web Inspector freezes Safari

Hi,
I used Web Inspector a lot but recently it stopped working for me. Everytime I open it up, it immediately freezes Safari and I see the Mac Beachball. All my tabs are unresponsive all of a sudden. I can't even close a tab or the web inspector.
What can I do, as the Web Inspector in Safari is completely unusable like this?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

Ok.. see if emptying the Safari cache helps.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Quit and relaunch Safari and try sharing a webpage.

Trouble Downloading MP4 from Web Inspector in Safari

Hello,
I have searched the web for an answer to this question but haven't had any luck.
I am using Safari 6.0.4 and am familiar with how to download ebmedded videos from websites using the web inspector (i.e. opening the inpector, refreshing the page, opening the Other folder, locating the video in the left panel and double cliking it). I never have any troubles doing this, except for when the file is an mp4.
When the file is an mp4, instead of downloading the video to my downloads folder, the video is launched in a new tab. In previous versions of Safari this would not be an issue, because I could simply drag the little blue dot in the address bar to the Show Downloads section and the video would start downloading. But unfortunately this function no longer works. I have tried any number of button presses and mouse clicks, but the only thing I can achieve is the video opening in a new tab where it cannot be downloaded from. The closest I can get is dragging the little blue dot into iTunes, but that only serves as a gateway to the online file.
Does anybody have any ideas of how to get past this?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost.

You don't need a CD to download anything; just download & install the trial from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements, then activate it with your serial number.

There are plenty of methods for putting a resume online, where a potential employer can download it, though admittedly the iPad is less flexible in this regard than a computer. Nobody ever has claimed otherwise. However, I get the feeling you're not actually looking for an answer to anything, and you're just posting to complain. Note that that is a violation of the Apple Support Communities Terms of Use, which you agreed to when signing up for an account here.
I wish I had gotten a Galaxy Tab.
Then sell your iPad and go buy one. You will have no problems whatsoever finding a buyer.

BW3.5: Error message when trying to activate the transfer rule

When I was trying to activate the transfer rule for one info object( charateristic with master data) , I got the following error in [[ ]]
Error when creating transfer structure /BIC/CCPIZGR00CC_ATTR in source system CI2220
Diagnosis
An error occurred when creating transfer structure /BIC/CCPIZGR00CC_ATTR as an IDoc segment in source system CI2220 .
System response
The action was terminated. No data was changed.
Procedure
Use the generation log in source system CI2220 to identify the error, and remove the cause.
CI2220 is the backend R/3 system, I had no issue in replicating the data source etc. this error occurred while trying to activate the transfer rule after assigning the info source to the replicated datasource in BW.
Can anybody tell me how to view( what transaction etc) the generation log to understand the issue?

Thanks for yoyur prompt reply, I would try to follow the instruction, but at the same time please note that previously we had no issue in activating the transfer structure. I would like to see the log in the source system, but don't know how to and which transaction to use etc. any help would be appreciated.

VO Ext- Error ocurred trying to activate the wizard pageAttribute settings

I am new to OAF and working on R12.1.3 vesrion. I am facing an issue while extending standard VO CustomerAccessesVO which is in the path
/oracle/apps/asn/common/customer/server. My requirement is to add a new column AS_ACCESSES_ALL.SALESFORECE_ROLE_CODE in the extended view.
This VO uses the entity object CustomerAccessEO(/oracle/apps/asn/common/customer/schema/server) and this entity object extends another EO AccessEO which is having base table AS_ACCESSES_ALL (/oracle/apps/asn/common/schema/server).
While extending this VO, I only select EO CustomerAccessEO and then I will have the attribute in available attribute list and selected attribute list.
Available attribute list is having all the attributes which are in EO AccessEO(As CustomerAccessEO is not having any attribute it only extend AccessEO).
Selected attribute list is having all the attibutes which are present in the query of CustomerAccessesVO.
Now if I include a new attribute as my new column and even I don't include any new attribute and click on Next button. I got error 'Error ocurred trying to activate the wizard pageAttribute settings' java.lang.NullPointerException.
Now If I included my new column by adding new attribute and ignore this error I am able to extend this VO and able to get all the file Server.xml, XXCustomerAccessesVO.xml, Voimpl.java, Rowimpl.java.
But the problem is rowimpl.java file is generated empty.*
However I substitute this extended VO I am able to see the extended VO in application but that says- No entity object used. No attributes are selected.
In short my problem is:-
*1) Getting error 'Error ocurred trying to activate the wizard pageAttribute settings' in Create View Object wizard.
2) If I ignore error why *rowimpl.java file is generated empty even I checked all the check boxes.
3) Why I am getting message in application-- No entity object used. No attributes are selected.*
Please reply as this is have become critical.

Since you know it was lost but not by you, you have an iPhone that is not legitimate. Your receipt may get you out of trouble with the police but that doesn't make the iPhone yours.
Activation Lock cannot be bypassed and if the your story is true then you should sort it out with Best.

Getting error while trying to open the web forms in classic planning app

hello,
I am new to OTN forum. can someone please help me to resolve my issue in classic planning application.
i have created two web forms in classic planning . but while i am trying to open the web forms ,its showing the error like
the" data form Report1(Report name) is invalid. Check log for details.
i have checked the log file also but was not able to understand the errors.
Before this i have tried lots of things to make this issue fixed like updated JVM size then in task manager i have checked the memory usages for process .
but these were not helpful to solve.
Kindly anyone suggest me the solution.......

It is probably worth refreshing the metadata to see if that fixes the problem; error message might indicate that the form has members on that have not yet been passed to Essbase.
You dont give the version you are using, but for v11.1.2.1 you do this through Workspace, menu options Administration/Application/Refresh Database - tick Database and Refresh. Its advised that you back up your Outline and data before refreshing.

this is not a error message but just a hint, a information, that you already have update rules from another infosource updating the same target which are updating the same fields. Just press enter and continue with activating.
