Trying to add titles in IMovie. Using IMovie 8.0.6 and Mac OSX version 10.6.8. When I try to add titles IMovie shuts down. What do I need to do to stop the shut downs?

I can not add Titles in IMovies. When I click on the Titles, IMovie shuts down. I am using Mac OSX Version 10.6.8 and IMovies version 8.0.6
Was able to add some Titles yesterday, but had some problems with shut downs. Today I can not get past clicking on Titles without a shutdown

http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3310 but you have 10.6.8. So this shouldn't apply. But just in case.
This had to do with the Far Far Away title causing iMovie to quit.
Try clearing caches and plist.
Do the behavior persist in a new user on the computer?

Try resetting the printing system.
1. Open System Preferences > Print & Fax
2. Move your mouse over the Printers list
3. Hold down the Control button and click the mouse
4. Click the "Reset printing system ..." popup
5. Restart your Mac
This will remove your print queues but not your printer drivers. So you will only need to add your printer queues again.

No, you can easily migrate your entire library from one working compter to another.
If you fail to backup or migrate your library and find yourself with nothing but a new empty computer and a device full of content iTunes is designed to only recover the iTunes purchased content, however third party tools can help recover everything if needed.

Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)

Use Tony's suggestion. I am running it right now and it is awesome. I love Mozilla but they basically screwed all of those older Macs over. Come on Mozilla. These Macs still work, and there are plenty of people with them out there.

I recently got a new iPad Mini and that came with free iWorks. When I try to add a picture only one of my seven photo streams will load, whats up?

So I have most pictures in different photo streams from my other devices. When I try to add a picture to my slide, only one photo stream will show and the one that shows isn't even created by me, if that matters. I have turned off the Photo option on my iCloud and turned it back on. Have tried closing apps, still nothing.

Purchases are tied to the Apple ID they were purchased with. If you use a new ID, you have to buy again.

I downloaded some app from my iPod touch and the app downloaded no problem. But when I open the app to play a game and I have to buy something from the app like coins or up grade the app. And it won't let me it says app was open on a different apple I'd and that I needed to Purchase the app again and when I try and I find the same app the only thing it does is open it. I want to develop a Microsoft Office Word Add-In for Mac Users. I would like to know if we create it using Visual Studios in windows will it be compatible with the Mac version of office or is there a whole another way to develop for Mac?

Office:Mac 2011 only supports add-ins that were developed in VBA. Office:Mac 2008 does not support add-ins at all. A
new version of Office:Mac is slated for release in 2015, there have been no announcements as of this writing (December 2014) whether Microsoft will support additional methods of developing add-ins in the new version of Office:Mac.

After downloadeding the latest Java plugin, I start to receive "Please configure your browser to allow Java applets to access the filesystem" message when I try to run a download wizard. What do I need to do? BTW, IE does not have this problem.

I had no problem using a download wizard Java applet to download file to my computer from an SFTP site using Firefox. When I tried to do the same thing with Chrome, I was told to download the latest plugin. Once I did that, I receive the following message when I run the downlaod wizard:
The Java Wizard cannot run.
Please configure your browser to allow Java applets to access the filesystem.
I got the same message using Firefox and Chrome. However, I have no problem using IE to run the same download wizzard. Please help.

If the problem is with a site that is hosted using MOVEit DMZ by Ipswitch, please notify the site owner of the issue and ask them to apply the patch that is available on the support site to resolve the issue.
This is a better resolution than downgrading your version of Java that was updated due to security issues.

Things such as catalogs can be produced as a PDF file which could be opened by Adobe Reader (free from Adobe site). They should also open using Preview (already on your Mac). Catalogs can also be produced using Flash technology. The flash player can also be downloaded from the Adobe site

Apple released Pages 5.0 to run on Maverics only. They completely rewrote the program for Maverics and 64 bit compatibility. They failed to explain that this version is missing much of the previous version's capability and that it cannot read older Pages files. When they install it they leave the older Pages 4.3 in place because it is the only way to read the older Pages files and upgrade them to a level that can be read by Pages 5!
If you still have Pages 4.3 on your computer it will tell you what to do. If you do not then go into your backups and retrieve it.
Because of the deficiences of Pages 5 I have removed it from my Mac and gone back to working with Pages 4.3. I have also removed Pages 2 from my iPad and found Pages 1.7 in the Time Machinew backups and brought it forward and droped it onto the iTunes icon to restore it and then synced the iPad to get the Pages 1.7 running again - it is compatible with Pages 4.3 on the Mac so all is back to normal for me.
Apple say that they will fix many of the deficiences in Pages 5 in the next six months. I suggest you wait until then and keep an eye on these communities beforte considering the "upgrade".
Incedentaly Pages 5.0 writes files that cannot be read by anything else including Pages 4.3 - better hope no one sends you one! It does not save RTF either - what where they thinking!
