Trying to create a template with adjustable text fields.

I need to creat a form or template with adjustable text and image fields. I need to have a background template for multiple pages that when I make a change to the template it make the changes to all pages, like the master page of indesign. I also need to have text and image fields that are specific to each page but the dimensions and placement are controled by the template,but the information inside is page spacific. What program should I use and anyone know a tutorial for help?

What you want would require elaborate programming or dealing with variables in Framemaker or InDesign (Server) to dynamically generate the output upon request. You can of course get part of the features using normal variables in ID e.g. to pull linked images based on some parameters, but generally your request sounds too complex to deal with all scenarios.

Problem when trying to create a template with vdi 3.2.1

I´m using vdi 3.2.1 in solaris 10 x86. I´m using Virtualbox in the same server as a desktop provider. I created a windows 7 virtual machine without any problem.
My problem appears when I´m trying to import that VM into a template, I follow "Pools --> then select the pool --> And from the tabs Bar, select TEMPLATE --> Import Template..." Then from the new window, select Hypervisor and select the VM that I want to import it as a template.
The importing process began and After the 100%, the vdi says "Job Failed" "Could not convert desktop [ide=18] to template".
The /var/adm/messages has this error:

Are you using a supported version of Oracle? I hope it's not Oracle 7!
This is probably an installation issue, where is Data Services installed? If its Program Files (x86), try re-installing in C:\SAP or similar.

You can subclass the alert and hack around with it, but in my experience, it would be easier to just write the functionality rather than trying to reuse the alert, but fighting it's built-in functionality.

Paging a data table with input text fields

I've created a datatable with input text fields so that contents can be edited. I have 'save' and 'cancel' buttons on the page so that changes can be saved or abandoned. That seems to work fine.
However, I have a problem with paging. If I modify an input text field, page to the next page in the datatable and then page back, the modified input text field reverts to the original entry in the database. Does anyone know how I can preserve this change (without issuing a commit) until the user clicks on the save button?

Here are 3 options for future reference:
1. With the setup you've described, apply a Match Move behavior to the text and make the rectangle the source. Change the Transform parameter to Mimic source. This way you can still adjust the text postion as needed, but the rectangle will drive the animation.
2. Use a group to do the animation. Put both your rectangle and text in the same group and animate the group's postion.
3. Use the Link behavior.
Each of these has it's advantages depending on what you need.

Try comin out of rsa1 transaction and then going back in...else login and logoff. Its generally happens that the changes dont get reflected and it then shows that error.

I think this is essentially saying that the Supervisor Assignment is wrong or no longer effective. Looking at your SQL to fetch the Supervisor Assignment there are a number of potential issues. This is what you've currently got:

1. What is r.supervisor_number, what does it contain and how is it derived? I can't see that anywhere else in the block...
2. Is there a chance that r.supervisor_number is referencing an employee who has left, ie, now an ex-employee?
3. The SELECT statement that fetches the assignment_id does not perform any date-effective restrictions, which means you might be lucky enough to fetch the person's current assignment. But you might also fetch an old or future-dated assignment.
4. The SELECT statement that fetches the assignment_id does not restrict the type of assignment, so if this manager has applied for a job (ie, they have an applicant assignment) or some other type of non-employee assignment you might be picking that up.
This would work better for you:

If it doesn't return a row it means that the supervisor (or whatever employee is returned by r.supervisor_number) is not active as at sysdate and cannot be used. Note that this SQL only applies for employees. If you can have Contingent Workers as supervisors in your implementation then this needs tweaking.

Basic question, how to create rtf template with a given xml file

I am new to BI publisher and I am learning how to create rtf templates using given xml fiel definitions by following the bi publisher guide
The steps I am following is:
1, create template using template builders, which is downloaded into MS words.
2, In the empty template, map the xml columns with template field using BI publisher tag
3, upload the template to BI Publisher as a layout.
That's all I can understand.
My question is:
1,in which above step do I import XML file into template builder (if not bi publisher), how to do so?
2,After template is created, how to associate this template layout with existing reports in BI Publisher, or is it necessary at all?
3,In the template content in MS Word template builder, what should I enter other than BI publisher tags for mapping XML field to desired template field
Or, if my understand of this process is entirely wrong, what's the right process of creating rtf template with a given XML file definition

Trying to create a template

Hello, I'm Dreamweaver CS3 and have been trying to create a
template for an existing web site. I am taking over a site that was
created by someone using Homesite.
Whenever I create the initial template and try to apply it to
the existing site I get an error message saying the "template is
nested within itself". What is it I am missing?

Is it possible to create a form with multiple form fields on a single line? I can't find anything in the documentation or a template that does this.
I am trying to create a "documents received" checklist with a check box on the left margin, a date-received field to the right of the check box and and a description of the document (Formatted Text) on the far right.
In the past I have entered the Fixed Text with a word processor, published it to a PDF file, then added the check box and date fields with the Acrobat Forms editor. I would prefer to use FormsCentral if it is possible.

We now support multiple fields on one line. This post provides a brief overview.

Trying to underline the rectangle of a Text Field

I am trying to underline the rectangle of a Text Field with a Line Annotation, but I am a little confused.
The first doubt is about the "Square" vs, the "Rectangle" annotations. What is the difference between them? Has Adobe changed those recently?
I have tried several variations of the following snippet:

According to such definition, the square rect does not contain any information about the right side?
Maybe what you meant to write is:
"The square rect defines:
top-left-x, top-left-y, bottom-right-x and bottom-right-y.
For a line it is
left-x, left-y, right-x, right-y."
If that's the case, a rect of zero height is the same thing as a horizontal line. That was my assumption, but I am getting a 45-degree line through the origin.

Is there a way to print the check register with the Text field and also each item's Text field?"
When we enter a invoice we enter a generic text on the Basic Data tab then enter a "+" on each individual line item which in turns defaults to the generic text. Just wanted to know if the check register could draw in the individual line item detail where we can enter text that relates to just that line item. Sort of like the MIR7 draws in the detail for each item.
Kindly help me in full fill the above requirement.
