Trying to download PS CC on second computer (dell laptop-windows 7) but get error that I should close Bridge.exe ........................this file is not open..........I have both cs4 and cs5.1 on this laptop..............as well as the associated bridge files...........should I uninstall all of the OLD PS stuff, before attempting to install the PS CC..........................keep in mind I want to also download LR 5, after PS CC is installed correctly.

Terminate the process in task manager or turn off Minibridge in the PS prefs and restart your system.

If you had it on a laptop that crashed and you threw away, it is still considered as activated on that machine. YOu should contact Adobe by chat or by phone and have them deactivate for you.

Thanks for your prompt reply. However, the sources you gave do not seem to apply exactly to my situation. I have attached some screenshots that show what the dialogue box looks like for a pdf download, and what my settings in the Apps panel of Options are. You will note in the first screenshot that I have checked the box to handle this file type automatically; however, the next time I try to download a file of that type, the same dialogue box appears looking exactly like the one shown, so checking the "automatic" option appears to do nothing. The files to be downloaded from my Gmail messages are not generic or altered file types - they are shown as pdf, doc, docx, etc. So while your intent was good, your post did not help. Thanks anyway.

Trying to download InDesign CS6 and I am unable to. I keep getting error messages...

I've gotten "Adobe Application Manager failed to install" and "Adobe Application Manager is corrupted and must be reinstalled. Please contact customer service." This is the first time I've ever tried to download InDesign on this particular computer. No other programs are open on my computer, and no other users are logged in to our Creative Cloud account. I have a window desktop and have had itunes for ever. The latest update failed and I am getting a strange error message. "Apple mobile Device failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privledges to start system service."
I have iphones and I am wondering if a sync of iphone and I tunes has somehow screwed up everything.
The update will not load. I have even tried uninstalling itunes and reinstalling.
I get the same exact message as before.
