Trying to Find Where HD Space is being used..

I am trying to find out how my 250GB HD has only 50GB left on my MBP. I cleaned it up extensively. Did a lot of things like clear out all of the music, movies, and TV shows from iTunes. I also removed all of my iMovie Projects and applications that I no longer use. Anyone have any idea where I could look to find that other 200GB? The system is basically stock with no modifications so there aren't files sitting everywhere taking up space. Any help would be appreciated. I am going to be working on my iMac soon that has a big HD as well with 5GB left. Thanks in advance.

I am having the same problem. I performed the search using Disk Inventory X as suggested by Neil and found some huge files in a folder called "Private" which did not show up in any other search I performed. Is this some sort of virus. The path is Private - Var - Log - Asl. The first two documents, which are 100+ GB, are titled 2009.02.27.U0.G80.asl and 2009.04.13.U0.g80.ASL and the list goes on.
Should I and how should I remove this.

You reset the iClould password the same way you reset the Apple ID for the email address/account

How can I find where a specific font is used in a Pages document

I have a Pages document that always shows a font missing error when opened. Is there any way to find where that font is supposedly used? Alternatively, if I install the font, the message doesn't appear — I assume that means that the font was found. Is there a way to find where that font is used in the document?

Hi Bob.
For the present, at least, it's going to involve a visual inspection.
When you open the document, you can select a specific font in the Document Warning window, and replace it with another, using the Replace Font pop-up at the bottom of the window.
Choose a font that will be easy to spot, such as Wingdings, used below to replace Cambria:
At this point, you could replace the occurrences individually with a suitable font, or press command-Z to undo the replacement, or discard the Pages version of the document and open the original a second time to produce a new Pages document.
For the future, you use Provide Pages Feedback. in the Application menu (in Pages, the "Pages" menu) to send a feature request to Apple. The link will also take you to the Feedback page.

We have a number of InfoSet Queries which the users are calling from SQ00. Some of them are very old.
I would like to find out which queries are being used, so we can have the idle queries decommissioned.

It's been a while since I've done this but one method is to use ST03N & look for the execution of programs with an AQ* prefix. The general structure is AQZZ/<query user group><query name>.
You could probably get the same info from the audit log but I've not checked that.

There is video demonstration how to import from data dictionary.
After import you can select from the main menu: View->DDL File Editor menu item to open the DDL dialog and then click on "Generate" button on the dialog. When the DDL is generated you can search in it using "Find" button.

Finding where data from database being fetched

I am calling a script from driver program
Certain fields in script are not displaying correct values.Values are T166P tabel fields.
I tried to debug, but couldnt find from where select queries executed in flow of execution.

How do I find where a sub vi is used?

I have a sub vi and I cannot find where it's called. I tried the "find all instances" but it does not show up in the search. I need a "where used" function!

One way is to browse the vi hierarchy. THis is done by opening your top level vi and selecting the browse toolbar item and selecting browse vi hierarchy. This will show you a hierarchial view of your applications. This will show you all of the linkages to the subvi that you are looking for. The other way is to use the find option. This can be done by selecting Ctrl-F. This will allow you to search for a specific vi or other objects. This will also allow the searching of text. Once you find your subvi you can select ctrl G and skip through all of the instances. Hope this helps.

BDB will store its data on the file system. You can specify the locatino with the following:

As far as I am aware you can't see the data in the bdb scheme.
